One year ago. It was one year ago when something happened, something big. One year ago was the day I killed my family.
You must be thinking "Holy Hera, you monster!" or at least something along those lines.
But for your information, I'm not a monster, I'm just cursed.
For starters, my name is Trish the homeless girl.
It was February 11th, two days after my birthday, the exact day it happened. As usual, I woke up just to find some of my things missing. Ugh, it's going to be a great day, I thought sarcastically.
I started to head to Agape Cafe, one of the best Cafes I had ever been to. I walked up to the counter and was greeted by Sara, the cashier. She was there most times when I came in. "My usual," I said for the millionth time that year.
She knew right away what to get me, being a customer that came almost every day. She handed me two blueberry muffins and bottled water.
As I paid Sara and thanked her, I noticed someone, more like someones. I turned as four people walked into the cafe engulfed in a conversation.
It can't be them, I thought, it can't be.
I sat at a table close enough for me to hear what they were saying. Eavesdropping, I know, but I am a very curious mortal).
"We need to find out what is causing all these hellhound appearances and fast, before it gets any worse than it already is," the blond girl stated.
One of them must have noticed me staring because I heard the one with raven black hair say, "Do you think she's a monster?"
"Maybe. She might also be a mortal with clear sight, she can oblivious see who we are. Or maybe a demigod?"
"I don't know, but we should probably leave before anything happens,"
"Aww, but I wanted a muffin," the one pouted.
That's when I took a risk and walked up to their table. "Excuse me, but can you help me?" is all I managed to get out before the tall blond cut me off, obviously on his guard.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think we can. We were just about to leave."
I just stared as the four left. The blond girl just slapped the boy who previously had talked to me.
I left just in time to hear a howl and a blood-curdling scream, which I assumed came from the one with raven black hair.
I ran to see what had happened, just as three hellhounds jumped simultaneously, I raised my hand stopping the hellhounds mid-jump, hanging in the air. Then poof, to gold dust they go. The four just stared at me, in awe.
Just as I realized what I had just done, I fainted, falling to the ground with a thud as the four of them ran towards me.
