"Here eat this, it'll make you feel better," He explained. I just stared at the lemon square.
"I can't," I said quickly
"Well, why not?" He asked
"Because I'll die."
He and his friends looked at me with questionable looks
"You won't die. This is ambrosia, the food of the gods."
Just then, it clicked. He was someone who I thought to never exist. The boy who I looked up to in all the books I read. Percy Jackson.
"You're a demigod. One of your parents is a god," The boy said helping me to my feet, "I'm Percy Jac- "
"I know who you are. You're Percy Jackson," I said pointing at him, "You're Annabeth Chase. Not Anna, not Annie, not Beth, only Annabeth," They chuckled at that, "You're Nico di Angelo, and you're Will Solace. I'm Trish Sutton."
"Yeah, and how do you know who we are?" Asked Annabeth
I reached into the backpack that I thankfully still had with me, and I pulled out The Titans Curse By Rick Riordian.
"I knew it! She noticed us from the books!" Yelled Percy
Just then I heard the slight whisper of a crying baby. Oh crap! I thought. I started running towards the sound with Nico, Percy, Will, and Annabeth following close behind.
"What is it?" asked Nico
I didn't have time to answer. I rounded the corner and headed into an alleyway, just to be greeted by a crying two-year-old.
"Is that your kid?" asked Will suspiciously.
"What? No, I'm only 15!" I exclaimed, maybe a little too loud than I should have.
"Then whose is it?" Asked Percy, Annabeth slapped him with that comment, "Ow."
"The guy who used to live in this building beside us had died over half a year ago, so he asked me to take care of her." I sadly responded.
Will bent down in a crouch position and asked, "What's your name sweety?"
She just stared at him from behind my legs, "Her name is Coral," I said. "Her father and I were good friends; his name was Alex Greendale. He was the only person that I told about who I really was."
"What do you mean 'Who I really was'?" asked Annabeth.
Right then, I told them what had happened to my family, "Everyone thinks I died in the "explosion" like my family had, so I had to live out on the streets. I usually wear this cloak thing that keeps the monsters from detecting me, because I tend to attract an absurd number of monsters."
"So that's why there have been so many hellhound sightings," Will exclaimed.
"You talk a lot," said Nico, I just laughed at that.
"Who gave it to you? Those cloaks are extremely hard to make, let alone find." Said Annabeth, questioningly.
"He-" I shut my mouth, If they find out, what would they think? What would the immortals do if they found out?
"So, who gave it to you?" Annabeth said, obviously getting annoyed.
"You can tell them, child." Said a voice behind me, the four in front of me just stared with mouths hanging open, well except for Annabeth, who was frowning. I turned around to see what they were staring at.
"Hera!" I ran up to her embracing her into a hug, which made the four onlookers gape even more.
"Mommy!" yelled Coral, which made Hera grin. Percy, Nico, Annabeth, and Will just stared, now Annabeth has her mouth open, I thought while grinning like a maniac.
"Wait, Hera has a child?" asked Percy.
Thanks for reading! This is once again an edited chapter so I hope you like it better than what it was before. Anyways, stay safe!
