When Alex and Kelly walked into the church where her fathers' funeral was being held; the last person she expected to see was her ex-fiance sitting behind her sister. She sat down next to Kara for the ceremony trying to ignore the fact that her current girlfriend was sitting next to her ex-fiance.

"Who gave you the right to be here?", Alex said to Maggie after the ceremony; before they went to the cemetery to bury her father.

"Alex, I asked her to come.", Kara said to her sister.

"Again I ask why?", Alex asked her sister.

"I shouldn't have come, I'll go. Text me when you get home safely.", Maggie said to Kara as she went to leave.

"No, you are staying. I asked you to come. I should have told you this earlier Alex. But Maggie and I have kept in touch. We talk almost every night. We actually started dating a few months ago. We wanted to tell you but I didn't know how to tell you without hurting you.", Kara said to her sister.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me. Kara, she's my ex. Not to mention our break up was brutal. You were there for the aftermath. You know what it did to me. How could you just go and date her after that.", Alex yelled at Kara.

"Alexandra keep your voice down.", Eliza said to her oldest daughter.

"We didn't do this on purpose Alex. It just happened, Maggie still lives in Gotham. We both thought it would be better if she stayed there so you didn't have to see us together. Or just seeing her in general. Everything leading up to us dating we have thought about how it would affect you. But I can't stop living my life because you two have a history. I know you were hurt by the break up, so was Maggie. It destroyed two of the most important people in my family. You had help getting over it. Then you found Kelly, and she's been so good for you. I've never seen you so happy. I was that for Maggie, we didn't expect to fall for each other. Hell we denied it for almost a year before we started dating. I don't expect you to accept this right away, I'll give you the time that you need to accept this. But just for today could you let it go. I need her here just like you need Kelly.", Kara said to her sister as she started to tear; afraid of what her sister might say.

"Al, just let it be for now.", Kelly said to her girlfriend.

"Let it be? How is everyone okay with this? And mom did you know about this?", Alex asked in general and then asked her mother.

"I did, they came to me a few weeks ago. I was asked to not mention it, but I told them they needed to tell you. Kara has a right to have someone here as her rock. Just like you are, so please drop this until after we bury your father.", Eliza said to her oldest daughter.

"I really am sorry for causing issues. I just wanted someone to care about me for once. To make sure that I was okay instead of me making sure everyone else was okay.", Kara said as she stormed off.

"Right play the victim.", Alex said as she stormed off in the opposite direction of Kara.

"Kelly by the way. Sorry about this, as you know she's a handful when it comes to feelings.", Kelly said as she extended her hand to shake Maggie's.

"Maggie. Kara is the same. I guess we should go talk to them. Sorry about this Eliza.", Maggie said to Kelly then to Eliza.

"Not your fault dear. My girls need to stop using their anger on each other when they are upset. We'll meet you guys at the cemetery. We'll wait.", Eliza said as everyone left as Kelly went to where Alex stormed off too and as Maggie went to Kara.

"Kar.", Maggie said as she came up behind Kara and hugged her from behind.

"I just wanted to do what was right for me for once.", Kara said in between her crying.

"I know, hear me out I'm not taking Alex's side. But we did kind of blind side her at your father's funeral. We could have done this a little differently. Too late now and nothing we can do about it.", Maggie said to Kara.

"I know, which makes me angry at myself. But it shouldn't I'm allowed to have someone here that I love to be my rock. I just wanted that.", Kara said.

"And you have me here. Go talk to Alex.", Maggie said when she heard footsteps behind them.

"This is weird to see and I'm still kind of pissed but I realize you need someone in your life as well. I'll get over it in time.", Alex said to her sister.

"I'm so sorry Alex, I didn't want to blind side you like this. But I needed her here.", Kara said to her sister as she hugged her.

"I get it. Sawyer you hurt my baby sister I'll kill you.", Alex said to Maggie,

"Alex!", Kara said to her sister as she slapped her arm.

"I wouldn't expect anything less from you Danvers.", Maggie said with a small smile on her face.

"Sorry Kelly, I didn't think how weird this would be for you.", Kara said to her sister's girlfriend.

"It's okay Kara. No offence Maggie but you are no threat to me. I know Alex is way over you.", Kelly said with a smile on her face.

"Good, I'm glad she has you. You're no threat to me either. I'm over Alex too, I'm now into this awkward Alien that saves lives.", Maggie said with a smirk on her face.

"Ew.", Alex said playfully as she walked over to Maggie. "Truce?", Alex said as she extended her hand out to Maggie.

"Truce.", Maggie said as they shook hands and then brought into a hug by Kara and Kelly.

"Kara, too tight.", Alex said as Kara squeezed them too tight out of excitement.

"Oops sorry.", Kara said with a giggle to her voice.

"Right let's go we have to meet mom at the cemetery.", Alex said to them.

It's been a few months since they buried Jeremiah. Alex and Kara went on a mission for a lead that they were working on. Kara in the process of trying to capture an alien blew out her powers and got severly hurt.

"Alex.", Maggie said as she stormed into LCorp labs.

"She's okay, just needs to be under the sun lamps for a few hours.", Alex said to Maggie as Maggie rushed to Kara's side.

"Why isn't she awake? Or healing?", Maggie asked her girlfriend's sister.

"She solar flared. It'll take a few hours for her powers to kick back in. I promise she'll be fine.", Alex said to Maggie when she saw the worried look on her face.

"Thank you for sending Lena to get me.", Maggie said to Alex.

"Not a problem. I may not understand it but you two mean a lot to each other. I knew she would want you here.", Alex said to Maggie as Lena stepped into the room.

"Her vittles are still good?", Lena asked her best friend's sister.

"Yes, nothing has changed.", Alex said to Lena.

"When do you think she'll wake up?", Maggie asked her girlfriend's sister.

"Not sure, that's up to Kara. But she'll wake up she always does.", Alex said to Maggie with a small smile on her face.

"There's always that chance that she doesn't wake up though. I always fear that one day she's going to get badly hurt and not come back.", Maggie said to Alex with tears in her eyes.

"I know the feeling. I think that every time she gets hurt, but I know my sister if she has something to fight for she's not going to give up that easily. You mean the world to her Mags, she's not going to leave you, not now when everything is just starting out.", Alex said to Maggie as she put her hand on Maggie's shoulder.

"Thanks, Alex. I know this is weird having me here. I can wait at her apartment if you want.", Maggie said to Alex.

"Maggie, I know you and Alex have had issues in the past. But if I know my best friend like I do; she would want all of us here together. Just like for Kara I know Alex can put the past in the past. So as weird as this is you are family, so sit your ass down and be with Kara.", Lena said before Alex could speak.

"What she said Sawyer.", Alex said with a laugh to her voice.

"Good, because I was just being nice. I don't think I could really leave her.", Maggie said as she sat down on the chair beside Kara's bed and put her hand into Kara's.

"Well you just passed everything in my book.", Alex said with a smirk on her face at Maggie.

"Thanks Danvers.", Maggie said with a slight smirk on her face.

"I bet neither of you have eaten today. So I'm going to grab us all something from Big Belly Burger.", Lena said as she left before they could argue with her.

"How is she? I can tell she's stressing, even by not really knowing her.", Maggie asked and said to Alex.

"She's dealing with it how a Luthor would. But at least she's dealing and letting people in.", Alex said to Maggie as she sat down on the chair that was on the other side of Kara's bed.

"I guess that's better than nothing.", Maggie said to Alex.

"You're good for her.", Alex said to Maggie with a small smile on her face.

"Thank you.", Maggie said with a smile of her own.

"I just have to say this. You aren't with her just because she's never wanted kids right? You are in this for the real deal?", Alex asked Maggie with concern in her voice.

"This is the real deal. Does it feel nice to have a partner that wants the same as me, yes. But I would not be with her if I thought I was stopping her from having a family. I wouldn't do that again, especially to another Danvers. I like living, which is why everything we have done we've put you first. I never meant to fall for your sister, Al. She was there for me when no one else was, our late night calls helped me with so much. She would randomly show up at my apartment when she heard my heartbeat change. She always had something to bring me to. Some form of comfort food. We fell into this routine and it just felt right; it felt like we were complete. I know that's not what you want to hear given our past. But I know you needed to hear it in order to accept Kara and I. When Kara first asked me out, the first thing we both said was, shit Alex. So instead of a first date we sat and talked about how this would affect you if we decided to date. We both didn't want to hurt or betray you at all. But we couldn't help or deny how we were feeling towards each other either. So we compromised and said we'd keep it between us for now. If something came up and we needed to tell people we would. We told Eliza first because I was here visiting when she decided to drop in and see Kara. We were going to just lie and say I was helping Kara with a case. But your mother is too smart for that and instantly knew we were together. She stayed for dinner that night and we talked about you again and how this would affect you. She understood where we were coming from, but told us we needed to tell you before you got blind sided. We were going to tell you before your dad passed but then that happened. I was hesitant to come here, not because I didn't want to be there for Kara, but because I didn't want your dad's funeral to be about Kara and I. But she insisted that I come because she needed me there, so without question I came. I would do anything for your sister. If she asked me to run to the ends of the Earth with her I would without second guessing it. If she asked me to leave and not come back because this is causing an issue with you two, I would. I'll do whatever it takes for her to be happy, that's all I want. She's been so sad since she came here as a kid. But with me she never stops smiling. I don't think I've seen her smile that much. So I'm sorry for blind siding you and for causing you pain, but I am not sorry for falling in love with that beautiful alien laying in that bed.", Maggie said to Alex which brought tears to Alex's and Maggie's eyes; and Kelly and Lena who happened to walk in at some point during the speech.

"Shit.", Kelly said which got everyone to chuckle.

"Well fuck Sawyer, after that speeach I can't be mad at you. Just keep my sister and her heart safe.", Alex said to Maggie.

"Always. Now where's my food.", Maggie said with a smile on her face.

"Her and Kara are perfect for each other; they both love food.", Lena said as she handed Maggie her food. After a few hours of sitting down and chatting with Lena, Alex and Kelly, Maggie was feeling more relaxed.

"Alex, she's waking up.", Maggie said when she noticed that Kara was waking up and panicking that there was a tube down her throat.

"Hey sis, calm down we'll take the tube out. Just relax.", Alex said as Maggie grabbed Kara's hand as Alex was preparing to take the tube out of Kara's throat.

"Mags.", Kara said in a raspy voice once the tube was out.

"Hey babe.", Maggie said with tears in her eyes.

"Try not to talk for a few Kara, give your throat a rest.", Alex said to Kara with a small smile on her face.

"We'll leave you two alone to talk.", Lena said with a smile on her face as her and Alex went to leave.

"Wait, thank you.", Kara rasped out, thanking them for bringing Maggie to her.

"No need to thank us. Now rest we'll see you in a little while.", Alex said before they left.

"I thought I lost you.", Maggie said to Kara.

"Sorry.", Kara said as she rubbed her thumb on the back of Maggie's hand.

"No need to be sorry, I'm just glad I still have you.", Maggie said to her with love in her voice.

"Always.", Kara said as she started to drift off to sleep.

"Rest love, I'll see you when you wake up.", Maggie said as she kissed Kara's lips before Kara fell asleep. A few hours later and Alex came back in to check on Kara.

"She's still asleep?", Alex asked Maggie.

"Yeah, she woke up for a few minutes like an hour ago. But then she went back to sleep.", Maggie said to Alex.

"Good, resting will help her heal.", Alex said to Maggie with a smile on her face. "Her powers haven't shown any signs of coming back as of yet. We'll see if that changes, we'll keep her under the lamps and hopefully that'll kick start her powers.", Alex then said to Maggie.

"What if they don't? How do you know for sure that they'll come back?", Maggie asked Alex.

"I'm just going by experience. Every time she's blown her powers they've always come back. If this time is different and they don't. We'll just have to help her through that.", Alex said to Maggie as Kara started to wake up again. "Hey there sleeping beauty.", Alex joked to her sister who smiled at her.

"Hey Lexie.", Kara said, sounding more like herself and not in a raspy voice.

"Your voice sounds better, that's a good sign. How are you feeling?", Alex asked her sister.

"Like I got hit by a bus.", Kara said to Alex.

"I bet, are the pain meds working though?", Alex said then asked her sister.

"Yeah they are.", Kara said to her sister with a small smile on her face.

"Good, don't ever do this to us again okay? You scared Maggie.", Alex said to Kara with a laugh.

"Oh just me Danvers?", Maggie asked Alex with a smirk on her face.

"Well okay all of us, but mostly Maggie.", Alex said as she stuck her tongue out at Maggie.

"Yeah thought so.", Maggie said with a smirk on her face as Kara giggled at their actions.

"Since when did you two get along?", Kara asked her girlfriend and sister with a laugh.

"While you were passed out we had a heart to heart conversation. She's a keeper.", Alex said to Maggie with a genuine smile on her face.

"She is. I'm glad two of the most important people in my life are starting to get along.", Kara said to them with a tired smile on her face.

"We're trying for you, love.", Maggie said to Kara with love in her eyes.

"Well thank you.", Kara said to them.
