We got back to CHB without any difficulty, and unfortunately dinner had already started. Which meant we wouldn't be able to get the "good" food. After putting Blackjack into his stable, we walked to the dining pavilion, which is when I realized that I hadn't eaten all day. I was starving, even when I was living in that alleyway, I'd at least get one good meal a day.
We get up to the line of tables in the pavilion and Percy starts to grab a plate while complaining about how we should've left sooner. I just rolled my eyes and went into the kitchen to whip something up, maybe this will shut him up, I thought. I quickly made a special BBQ out of the leftover meat that I found in the fridge. (I used to cook a lot for my family when they were still alive, this was one of the meals they would love when I made it. And I especially loved it because it is quick and easy and you can make it out of leftovers.) I walked out of the kitchen with two plates with several BBQ sandwiches on them. I walked over to the still grumbling Percy who had barely anything on his plate, and sat the new plate in front of him.
"Here try this," I said while watching him shovel it into his mouth.
"Mmmm, this is really good. Where did you learn to cook?" Percy said, "This tastes like something my mom would make."
I just shrugged my shoulders, "I guess I taught myself."
"Here let me taste," said Leo as he grabbed a sandwich off of Percy's plate.
"Hey this is my food, get your own," grumbled Percy.
"Hmmm, this is really good. Where'd you get the recipe?" Asked Leo.
"I, um, I made the recipe. I like the recipe because it's really simple and you can use leftover food." I stammered.
"What do you use?" Asked Annabeth as she examined one of Percy's several sandwiches like I had poisoned it.
"I use about half a pound of ground beef, um, about a tablespoon of Garlic powder and cayenne pepper, half a cup of ketchup, and um three fourths cup of BBQ sauce."
"Very interesting, I wouldn't have thought of that," said Leo trying to take yet another sandwich from Percy's plate as Percy slaps his hand away.
"Well, where are you going to sit, Trish. Since we don't know who your godly parent is, you should be sitting at the Hermes table, but I bet Chiron would make an exception for you." Piper said. She then walked closer to me and whispered in my ear, "between you and me, Chiron seems to like you more than most campers."
"Oh, I-," I looked over to Annabeth and Percy who were staring at me, suddenly Annabeth nods her head as if she knew what I was thinking and as if to say you can do it. So I take all of the courage I have in my body, walk up to the table and stand up on top of it. I take a deep breath and say, "Excuse me, I, um got something to say." Just then Coral comes walking up to me and gets Piper to help her up onto the table and stands beside me. "I, um," I look over to where Jamie is sitting. He seems to have a worried look on his face. I take another deep breath, and by now everyone is staring at me, which is something I do not like.
"T-the reason me and Coral here where able to stay inside the Hera cabin for so long is, because, well it's because Hera put a curse on the cabin so that only children of Hera can stay in it without getting terribly sick, and Coral and I are children of Hera," everyone gasps, "Well technically Coral is a child of Hera, but since I was 14, about a year ago Hera has been taking care of me as if I was her own daughter, and has claimed me as her own." That's when I somehow courageously told them everything, about how I accidentally killed my family, how everyone thinks I'm dead, and how Hera found me in the woods and brought me to Alex Greendale. I even told them what had just happened on Olympus, and how my curse works. I told them everything, well not everything but most of the important parts. I finally got off the table and lifted Coral into my arms, as soon as we were safely on the ground, a symbol peered above Coral and I's heads. The symbol of Hera I thought, and everyone once again gasped.
"All hail children of Hera!" Yelled Chiron, then everyone bowed at us, which made me feel extremely awkward.
