A/N: Hi all! Welcome to my very first fanfic! I adore this community, and I'm so excited to begin a new writing journey on this forum exploring all things fanfiction from different ships, crack pairings, and maybe even some canon ones too!
Chapter 1
Groaning to herself Lucy takes stock of her surroundings and her person... Nothing, quite literally nothing could have prepared Lucy for the events currently taking place in her life– Edolas, Acnologia, the GMG, not even what happened during or after the horrid Tartaros events seemed to compare whatever this was... *Cue overly dramatic music* Wait a second, rewind. Ok, so maybe that's not exactly accurate–the truth was that all those monumental life events readied Lucy for exactly something like this happening to her -again- that is getting transported into the middle of the ocean (on a different planet?!)... the commencing of a destiny written in the stars.
One moment Lucy was happily exploring the abandoned ruins on Catapulte du Destin, a mysteriously beautiful island and then BAM she was being engulfed in the light of a powerful magic circle.
Unbeknownst to Lucy, the island and the magic throwing her into another world had a long forgotten connection to Celestial magic. The secrets kept hidden deep in the ruins far below the surface of the island revealing a shocking truth, cosmic mates and the infinity...
The Destiny Catapult is an ancient lost magic that is linked with Celestial Magic. When all the conditions are met the magic circle activates and quite literally catapults the magic user across time and space to connect them with their destiny of the heart, to connect mates. Once in the same realm, the mates will be powerfully drawn together -akin to dragon slayer magic and dragon slayer mating traditions. Deeper still in the Catacombs of Catapulte du Destin a little known fact is revealed- the magic of Dragons and their successors, the Dragon Slayers, was born from the Ancient Celestials. A magic older than time comprised of the cosmic ether and Celestial Wizards.
But this would not become known to the Light of Fairy Tail for quite some time.
General POV
Unique runes covered the walls, pillars, and floor. Lucy felt like she hit a goldmine, enthusiastically taking Lacrima pics of the ruins and the intricate runes decorating them. After feeling satisfied with the amount of photos she took, she decided to switch it up and busts out her journal to jot down some notes and make sketches of the runes. Going deeper into the ruins she finds herself in the center of what appears to be an altar. Eager to catalogue these findings, she reaches behind her to retrieve her journal and pen again, but stops short when a slicing pain rips across her palm. Shocked by the sudden pain the blonde falls over, her palm bleeding into the etchings on the floor beneath her. What follows left her in utter disbelief. A massive magic circle bursts forth in a blinding iridescent light, surrounding Lucy before throwing her into an entirely new world… IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MAVIS FORBIDDEN OCEAN. Yet that -the middle of the ocean, in the middle of who knows where- was exactly where the beautiful Celestial Mage currently floated.
Lucy POV
Lucy couldn't believe it… *cries in new boots ruined* Her brown knee high lace up combat boots were full of seawater and felt incredibly heavy... Lucky for Lucy the remainder of her outfit didn't further weigh her down since it consisted of a long pink ribbon in her hair, an orange bikini with pink flowers, and a teal mini skirt; as well as her key and whip holder, and brown satchel backpack. Her long hair cascading around her in the water like a blanket of gold with slashes of pink from her ribbon creating a somewhat ethereal like picture.
Lucy groaned again, her hand was throbbing, "How the hell did I cut my palm?" Carefully maneuvering her backpack to her front, and while floating on her back she checked to make sure all her affects were accounted for, 'at least everything seems to be here and unscathed... can't say the same for my hand damnit what a drag haha...' Untying the ribbon from her hair grateful it was long enough to securely wrap several times around her injured hand, 'ha what a solution, but it's better than nothing... even if it's wet.'
While she painted a pretty picture floating there atop the ocean waters on her back, periodically being rocked this way and that by the thankfully calm waves… the water felt like an ice bath and internally Lucy was seething with annoyance.
Complaining out loud, "Cold… dammit all. I'm cold and I'm wet, fucking hand hurts, and why did this have to happen on the day I decided to wear my new boots. *sigh*'
It was seriously freezing out here... honestly how did she even end up in the middle of the deep sea?! Annoyed more than anything thanks to the endlessly wild antics of Fairy Tail desensitizing her to all things that would be shocking to any sane minded individual. Not Fairy Tail mages though, so floating on her back, face towards the quickly darkening sky, she felt calm even as a prickling sense of oddness filled her while she took in her surroundings, 'wow water, and look at that more water, oh look a cloud. It looks like Happy...' a chilly breeze danced across her exposed skin, the scent on the wind was for lack of a better word intriguing. Internally she making extensive mental notes, 'The air, smells like a... *blushes* something's off here... ugh what the hell am I thinking!? Of course something is off, I got transported out of blue into the blue *haha*,' rolling her eyes at herself at her own sad attempt at a joke. She couldn't seem to shake the strange sense of otherness, as if something was scratching at the corners of her mind. Even as she felt numb from the cold she also felt a strange excitement firing her up- Lucy laughed, "well this cold is good for one thing... the pain from my hand certainly isn't as noticeable... Ugh that might not be a good thing actually...''' AH hahaha what the hell! ''' As she turned her head to look off at the horizon where the breeze seemed to be traveling from, "That direction just feels right, maybe I should head that way…" She knew that sounded crazy, having no concept of where she was and swimming off in a direction because it "felt right" was a recipe for disaster even if her intuition screamed at her to go that way...
She couldn't help but laugh at the absurd oddity of it all… being stuck in the ocean, wet… shivering from the icy waters… irritated that she seemingly walked herself or rather fell into this mess.
'For real, why did that magic circle transport me here of all places?' The island was huge and if she had to guess she was at least 10 miles away from the water. 'Huh, well, far be it for me to question these kinds of things, irritating though it may be. I might as well just laugh it off and get myself to shore, wherever that is… I better call on Pyxis to point me in the right direction, before heading off on my own.' "Ha!" making a wager with herself, "I bet Pyx will point in that direction too" she jokes smugly.
Lucy was beyond grateful that Stash Face (the Celestial Spirit King) gifted her with a magical, all terrain backpack and key & whip holder. Reaching down to her keys she stops short...
Realizing what day it was, Lucy moans in exasperation, 'Ah crap, of course today's Pyxis' day off.' 'Ugh… I'm just going to float here and contemplate my life haha.'
Joking aloud for the comfort of hearing a voice even if it was just herself, "This must be some twisted cosmic joke, no pun intended." Kicking her feet in frustration, and splashing seawater on her face. "Ahhh!" coughing and spitting out the salty water. "So LAME! And I can't even blame this on Team Natsu. What a mess, one moment I'm taking in the sights… admiring the strangest runes, and the next I'm soaking wet surrounded by endless ocean waters in the middle of who knows where…" She pauses… laughing internally Ha. Ha. Ha. "The island should change its name to Catapult to the Sea! hahaha , I'm here all week," she remarks sarcastically. "Injuring my hand and getting transported to the ocean... what luck"
Looking at her injured hand tightly wrapped with her pink ribbon, a dark shiver crawls up her spine as she tries to make sense of her current predicament. A shadowed thought begins to bubble forth attempting to darken her mood, 'This happened after I cut my hand… I really hope this isn't some type of dark blood magic…' Displeased with her unsettling train of thought, Lucy forces a smile and tries to lighten up, but can't help exclaim loudly, "What did those runes even mean and how does *smacks the water with her outstretched hands* it all connect?!" "Levy! Freed! Waahh! I wish you were here, I bet the three of us could've deciphered the meaning in no time at all… ugh I can just see Freed getting all flustered hehe…"
(~At the Guild: From opposite ends of the Guild, *Aaachoooo*... ~ In the far corner, sitting at their secluded table; "You good Levy?" Gejeel askes with a raised eyebrow. "Haha yeah, it's probably the dust from this old text" Levy Laughs. … Meanwhile at the bar, Freed politely excuses his bodily reaction, "My deepest apologies… Is allergy season already upon us, I must request Wendy make me another bottle of her Sniffle No More Allergy Potion…" )
Thinking to herself, 'oh Mavis that island is really something. I can't wait to tell the gang about it, I wish I brought my team on this mission… ok maybe not Team Natsu but I wish I brought Levy, Freed, and Wendy. The whole guild would have a hay day over this luscious island… I can just picture Wendy playing with the Exceeds in the Endless fields full of fragrant wildflowers and Juvia doing what Juvia does... stalking Gray (~Back at Fairy Tail: Juvia *sneezes* causing Mira to get hearts in her eyes and cries "your crush must be thinking of you!" Juvia promptly passes out with a bloody nose and steam coming out of her ears); Cana and the Thunder Legion drinking, Mira and Erza taking in the stunning verandas. Oh and sweet Levy is going to geek out so hard over the ruins, I'll be sure to call her once I'm dry and see if she wants to meet up… Crap *sweat drops* Natsu, Gray, and Gajeel would probably ruin the ruins…
Thinking of her Guild made her feel a tad homesick, it had been a little over a week since she left. The decision to go on a solo mission was so she could focus on her training, not to mention needing a reprieve from her team's destructive antics but now… she couldn't help but miss the chaos. Gently swaying her arms and legs to stay afloat on her back, Lucy admits to the endless sea "I mean yeah the mission went great and I got the full reward, and permission to explore the island. But look where I ended up... Crap"… Suddenly struck with an alarming realization, 'I probably should've notified the guild that I was staying to visit the island... damnit, that airheaded mayor knowing my whereabouts is pointless, that old geezer most likely forgot about me the moment I walked out of his office...'
(~Back on the mainland at the town where Lucy completed her mission. The Mayor: *sneezes* and has indeed completely forgotten all about the Celestial mage going back to the mysterious island...)
The strange urge from earlier that had been increasing in strength instantly became overpowering, demanding. Lucy felt overwhelmed with strange urgency compelling her to to head off in the direction of the breeze, 'What in Earthland is going on?! It feels like I'm being pulled by a magnet... like it's pulling me to something...' At first she couldn't make out anything other than the endless water but her instincts urging her to keep watch rewarded her with a sight that left her dizzy with what she assumed was relief.
Straining her eyes she finally glimpsed a spec in the distance gaining size and clarity as it sailed in her direction. Heart racing as an overwhelming feeling of anticipation began to engulf her; Lucy's eyes widened, 'wait… is that? Oh thank Mavis. A ship... a really creepy ship... wow are those monster bones? Well shit...To each their own, I bet Laki would be into it haha.' As it drew closer into view she thought, 'huh, I wonder what guild they belong to? I've never seen that emblem before… how strange?'
The ship sported a rather funky looking flag with a cool looking skull and crossbones. As the large ship drew closer to her location, Lucy was able to make out more details of the unique flag. The grinning skull looked to have flaming hair wearing a stylish pair of square shaped goggles on its forehead… and A KNIFE through its head?
*Sweat drops* 'The ship already looks creepy and with that emblem too... Mavis help me, please let this not be a dark guild.' "I'm being too judgmental," Lucy scolds herself aloud and internally sighs, 'ohhh well… beggars shan't be choosers haha'
Flipping over so that she could tread the water vertically, Lucy thrust one of her arms in the air and called out to what she thought was a ship full of mages. As she did so a peculiar sensation filled her, 'The air feels electric!' Gasping in response Lucy felt as if tiny sparks were dancing all over her body. Kicking her legs harder to shack herself 'Stay focused Lucy!' 'It's just because of the cold', she takes a deep breath and unleashes a loud call to get their attention, "HEY! HEY! OVER HERE! HELP!" Waving her arms frantically while rhythmically kicking her legs to keep herself above the choppy waters. Maintaining this position was easier said than done, but fortunately for her, Capricorn's rigorous exercise routines included intensive core strengthening so this was a walk in the *oceanic* park for Lucy.
Time seemed to slow down, as Lucy took in the two people who were visible now, a blonde masked man who was almost completely missed by the Celestial mage because *heart skipping a beat* the entirety of her attention was drawn to a god-like man with crimson hair. The blonde walked off after a brief pause, though she could hardly take note of anything beyond the gorgeous red head... Everything outside the radius of that mountain of a man was barely perceivably to Lucy... Not because she couldn't see, in fact her vision was pretty darn great and they were close enough now that she could make out even the tiny details on their clothes... that is if she wasn't otherwise distracted. As if under a spell...
Dropping her arm down, 'wow, he's so handsome...' Focusing in on the man with flame colored hair, Lucy began to shiver uncontrollably. Even though she could make out the crew on board, she couldn't seem to take her eyes off that one man in particular, he appeared to be larger than life. 'What am I doing?! FOCUS LUCY!' Shaking herself, Lucy draws in a deep breath and shouts again only to stop short as her eyes meet his... and in that instant the compelling feeling became eclipsing. As if struck by a blast from Acnologia, the moment she locked eyes with the mysterious man on the ship her world seemed to stop only to start back with such force it left her reeling. Her heart pounding erratically in her chest- breath catching, for a moment time came to an abrupt halt.
'Oh my Mavis! He's so fucking hot! Damn! He looks tasty' '*face smack* way to be a perv Luce' she thought to herself while admiring the most imposingly handsome man she had ever seen. 'I must be losing my mind, is this hypothermia?' Truthfully Lucy didn't feel the cold anymore, her entire world shifted the moment her gold eyes connected with the amber gaze of the man standing on ship tightly gripping the railing.
Unable to look away from him, she takes a moment to burn all his features into her memory. 'My goddess he's huge... and his hands are massive too, I bet he gives amazing back rubs...' groaning inwardly at the image she created in her mind. Continuing her detailed appraisal, Lu noticed his hair matched that of his "guild's" emblem.
'His coat looks oddly familiar... He certainly has style with an outfit like that: fur trimmed floor length coat and vibrant pants... hahah oh my Mavis!' 'I know why his look is so familiar!' Lucy thought of a fellow Fairy Tail mage and half-deadpanned, 'Huh…He must shop at the same store as Laxus.' As he leaned over the railing, staring just as intently at Lucy as she was at him.. she had to kick herself from ogling him and get back into gear.
He seemed to be just as fixated on her she thought *hopefully*, 'He has a really intense stare... like a dragon ready to strike, it's kinda sexy... what am I thinking?!' As the stare-off continues Lucy begins to blush profusely. 'Seriously why can't I stop gawking at him?!'
Steadying herself to find her voice again, she calls out to the captivating man "Umm hi! Can you help me ple–" An unexpected and sudden pain wraps arounds her right ankle, dragging her under the surface! A heart beat later, a slew of swords zipped by far too close to her for comfort and lodged deeply into what she guessed was an oversized squid-shark-snail monster forcing it to release her and allowing her to swim towards the water's surface. Gasping for breath and coughing she felt metal jaws of what she could only describe as a human sized Lacrima Claw Machine swiftly scooped her out of the water, dropping her into the arms of her destiny…
Captain E. Kid POV
'What the hell. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!' Eustass was beyond pissed, he had far too much work to accomplish and projects to get started on, but here he was ordering his crew to change course temporarily to investigate something that was gnawing at him.
Moments earlier: Sitting at his desk, Eustass gazed out his cabin window when a bright light filled the sky. It happened so fast, one minute the sky was lit up and then the next he felt a surge of energy go through his entire body. His instincts never steered him wrong, part of his success as a captain was this as well as his strength and ferociousness. Getting up and kicking open his cabin door out of frustration, Kid stomped to the helm and moments later changed their course to figure out what the hell was going on- why he felt as if he was being pulled by a force outside of his control.
Walking over to his Captain looking pissed as ever, Killer leans sideways against the railing, "Yo"..."You good Kid? What's this about?" Killer drawled, bemused by his Captain's strange behavior. 'Something's up, he's never acted this way before... he looks fucking possessed.' Scratching his helmet mask, Killer waits for Eustass to respond.
'Damned if I know' he thought to himself. Finally grumbling in response... Kid shares, "Just a feeling." Smelling the air, for what he couldn't say but there was something on the wind that sent jolts electric fire to his core. An odd and disarming feeling to say the least. It was really pissing him off.
The stare-off with the sea paid-off as a person came into view, filling Kid with an intense feeling of anticipation. 'A woman... floating on her back.' His breath caught, 'fuck is she alive?' The thought shouldn't have unsettled him as much as it did, 'why should I care?!' The ship still too far off to make out her status or any details about her appearance.
"Is that why we changed course, a body?" Killer looked over at the floating figure in the water, his comment eliciting an odd growl from Eustass. "Is she even alive?"
"Would you shut the fuck up, she's alive- I don't know how but I know. Why am I explaining myself, go. I've got this." Eustass couldn't take his eyes off her and the proximity tightening the compelling surges gnawing his every nerve.
Waving his hand in dismissal, Killer walked off -smirking though no one could see. 'Oh yeah, something is definitely up and about to get very freaky.' Looking at his close friend, Killer thinks, 'fucking guy looks like he's either gonna kill or fuck something and I don't think it's the former...' walking off to join the rest of the crew on the other side of the ship.
...
'What the hell is this feeling, and what the fuck is that girly floral smell?' Inwardly he blushed, he couldn't deny that it was intoxicating.
Kid began to unknowingly clench the wood railing until he heard a distinct snapping noise as they drew closer to the location that was calling him... closer to the woman floating on her back in the water. Yep he just broke the rail…. Again. 'Ah shit, not again hah.' Thinking about all the tasks he should be completing instead of standing out here, but those thoughts didn't last long. As if a switch had been flipped, his entire focus shifted to the woman, now close enough to see her as clear as day, her delicate figure gracing the surface of the water, the image she created was effortlessly erotic. 'This can't be real, how can anyone look so good while stranded in the ocean. She's like an angel... a fairy or some mermaid princess. Grinding his teeth in frustration, 'How did she get here. What the hell, is this a trap?'
"Captain, a female has been spotted. What are your orders?" A very clueless crewmate bellowed before Killer could stop them and bring him in the loop.
"Shut up! I've got this!" -Eustass was beginning to feel oddly prickly at the idea of anyone else looking at her, a strange possessiveness overtaking him as he stared at her beautiful form. 'Gah what the hell is going on?' he internally groaned. Kid couldn't take his eyes off her, she was breathtaking… like an angel. Her long golden blonde hair looked like wings. He couldn't tell much about her outfit beyond that she wasn't really wearing much at all...'damn, those legs are sexy as hell'
Eustass Captain Kid's breathing stalled when the beauty in the water switched to an upright tread giving him a full unobstructed view of her beautiful fairy-like face. "Shit." Like being smacked with an inferno of yearning desire, her eyes made his entire body feel on fire, overcome with need to claim and concur- a desire so strong he forgot where he was and started leaning over the railing as if to get closer to her.
Eustass could hear her calling out, "HEY! HEY! OVER HERE! HELP!" 'She's gotta a small frame, those arms are too skinny' Kid thought as he observed her waving her arms to in an obvious attempt get the attention of the ship, "hehehe" 'little does my sea fairy know that she's been in my sights long before she was visible' Eustass growled.
He was utterly unprepared for the magnitude of possessiveness that coursed through him. The moment he locked eyes with her, time stopped. Roaring from the depths of his soul, his entire being yelled 'Mine' and before he could stop the words from leaving his mouth Eustass voiced, "I don't care who or what she is, she's mine." To anyone else the smirk forming on his face would've been sinister, deadly.
Her melodic voice called him out of his stupor, "Umm hi! Can you help me ple–" She was cut off and dragged under the water before she could finish.
'Oh HELL no!" Eustass instantly went into action, calling forth hundreds of swords to skewer the sea monster and then using his devil fruit powers to scoop the golden goddess out of the water. Incensed and irritated that he didn't sense the beast sooner, he called back the swords and released the beauty from the scoop into his arms. In that moment, everything irrevocably changed. The moment their skin touched, it set off a sequence of events that neither could have ever anticipated.
~Partial Lemon Warning~
General POV
The moment their skin touched Eustass released the most intoxicating growl Lucy had ever heard, and she whimpered eagerly in response. The crew vacated the area earlier, sensing they needed to give their Captain space (that is Killer ordered everyone to their private quarters, not that they needed it- the Captain grinning like that was warning enough to give him some room).
Unable to stop herself, Lucy licked his jugular. The taste of him blinding her with a need she's never felt before, a need for more. So she dragged her tongue up his neck, peppering his sharp jaw with kisses finding her way to his eager lips that set the pace to claim her completely.
Unable to control the burning passion igniting his entire being, Eustass began running his hands all over her scantily clad body. His soul shouting he claim her completely. Deeping their kiss, he commanded her-demanded her submission.
Shoving off her bag that was blocking their closer contact, Lucy sighed when she felt his chest press against her breasts. In unison the two groaned 'more' ...
