Finally the day came, the day that me, Jamie and Calypso would leave on our first ever quest. I was not looking forward to it, I still hadn't been able to convince Chiron to let Coral come with us, I was still scared about what Calypso had said about my curse, and I really didn't want to leave my new home.

I woke up to myself yelling, "Wake up dummy, wake up dummy!" As I realized what was happening, I began grinning. I love that alarm clock, I thought as I got up out of bed.

I began my morning routine, while Jamie was groaning about how annoying his alarm clock is. After Jamie, Coral and I were done getting dressed and stuff, we walked out of our cabin and started heading towards the pavilion.

As we sat down at the Poseidon table, Calypso and Leo came up to us. "So, are you ready for our quest?" Calypso asked with a huge grin on her face.

"Augh," was all I said as I began eating breakfast.

"Unlike her," Jamie said gesturing towards me with a spoon, "I'm actually excited."

"I don't want Trish to leave," Coral complained as she too began eating.

"I don't want Trish to leave either," I mumbled under my breath.

After a silent breakfast I sulked back to my cabin to grab my bag. As I entered the white marble building, I was greeted by Eliza.

Hello child, Lady Hera has told me to go with you, Eliza said.

"No, you're staying with Coral, here," I angrily said as I passed him and slung my backpack across my shoulder.

I have direct orders from your mother to go with you.

"Well, too bad, Coral needs more protection than I do, I'll be fine, plus I have Jamie and Calypso to protect me," I protest.

That isn't your decision to decide child, Lady Hera has told me to go with you, so that's what I intend to do.

I turned around angrily, "You listen here bird, you are going to stay here so that you can protect the only family I have left, you hear me! I have my curse and my friends to protect me, Coral has nothing. If I need to I'll strap you to your bed! But you are NOT going with me!"

Whatever you say, Eliza said sarcastically, When Lady Hera finds out, she isn't going to be very happy.

"I don't give a crap right now!" I snarled back.

Just then I heard a knock on the doorway. "Having an argument with a bird I see," the person said.

I looked towards the doorway to see Clarisse standing there. I took a deep breath and said, "What do you need, Clarisse."

"I don't NEED anything girly," she growled, "I just want to say that… I just hope you do good, that's all."

She went to walk down the steps but before she got too far I said "Clarisse wait," she turned back around. "Thank you," I said as I went up and hugged her, which surprised us both. I backed away and said, "I'm surprised that you haven't dunked my head in the toilets yet."

We then started laughing, which was weird to hear Clarisse laugh. "We both know that you would have kicked my butt, even I'm able to say that," she then went down the stairs of the porch, and waved back, "I hope you make it back girly." She then turned and left.

The next people to show up at my doorway was the Stoll's, "We're going to miss you," they both said as they embraced me in a big hug.

"Me too," I whispered into their shoulders.

Jamie came up behind them, "So, Trish, you ready, Calypso's waiting for us."

"Y-yeah, I guess," I said as I squeezed between the two brothers and walked down the marble steps.

Jamie and I walked side by side as we started towards Half Blood hill. We arrived there to see Katie holding Coral in her arms standing next to Leo and Calypso. As soon as Coral saw me she jumped out of Katie's arms and ran towards me.

"Please Trish, down leave me," she cried, which made me tear up.

"I wish I didn't have to, but I don't have a choice," I then bent down so that I was face to face with the two-year-old, "Just make sure you listen to Katie and try not to get into too much trouble with Travis."

Coral's head lifted up so that I could see the tears streaming down her face, "I promise as long as you promise to come back to me."

"I promise," I whispered into her ear. I wiped the tears off Coral's face then stood back up. I then turned to Calypso and Jamie and said, "So, you ready to go?"

"Sure," Calypso said, letting go of Leo's hand.

"Definitely," Jamie said as he shouldered his backpack.

And with that we were off to the airport.
