Scorpius was walking the streets of London in a hurry, his shift would start soon. He wasn't exactly late, but he feared that the thick clouds of the London sky would drench him before he had a roof over his head.

He had worked in the family business since he left Hogwarts 11 years ago. His father was the one who took care of his career, he entered as an intern and rose as his supervisors and father's watchful eyes desired. Today he was the Production Manager, keeping up with the market demand and adjusting the volume of production to meet it.

The Malfoy's transport company was founded by his father and its flagships were the productions of Floo Powder and Vanishing Cabinet, both under the supervision of the Ministry of Magic.

He would like to think his ascension there had been on merit, but he knew he could never know for sure because he was, afterall, the owner's son. And to be honest, he didn't really care about that. He was doing the best he could and following his father's footsteps on the family business was always his dad's ambition, not his.

And that wasn't a problem either, because when he stopped to think about a possible ambition of his own, nothing seemed to come to mind. And at least, with his current job, he wasn't idle all day.

The other aspects of his life followed the same principle, he practiced swimming with the merpeople three times a week because his best friend Albus had convinced him to go with him about 5 years ago and gave up after six months, Scorpius continued because he had committed to an annual plan that renewed without him bothering to leave.

He was not in a relationship at the time, but at the age of 20 he had started a relationship with Jane Goyle, at 24 he proposed and at 27 he was dumped by the girl, a month before the wedding. He didn't get mad with her though, and Jane said that was part of the problem.

And now, at 29, Scorpius hadn't met a girl who seriously interested him since, just some flings now and then.

Scorpius' life was aimless, he was driven from one side to the other by circumstances and he didn't know if any time before had been different. Maybe when he decided to befriend Albus while still at Hogwarts and pestered both families for it to last, but nothing more.

Did he bother with all this? No, he didn't.

It was a good life after all, he had a stable and promising job, exemplary health and in terms of relationships, he thought that one day Jane or someone else would just accept him as a husband, he just had to wait to see it happening.

Thinking of nothing in particular, Scorpius entered the green building that towered over one of the alleys of Diagon Alley.

"Good morning, Malfoy boy" Mary Jones, the receptionist, greeted him with a smile.

Scorpius smiled back at the elderly woman he had known practically since she was born, whom he held dear. He had tried to get her to change the way she called him after he joined the company, but it was to no avail. Also, he didn't get that annoyed by the gesture.

"Good morning, Mrs. Mary" he replied, walking past her towards the elevators.

Going up to his floor, he didn't take three steps before one of his colleagues came to call him "Scorpius, glad you arrived, the Ministry representative is already here".

"She got here early" the blonde noticed when he looked at his wristwatch "Great, we can finish earlier too".

"I'm glad you think so, but she's not the usual agent, good luck" he said with a smirk.

Scorpius sighed, every time they changed Ministry agents they had to present the whole process to the new person again, that meant a few wasted hours explaining step by step everything about the company.

Scorpius considered whether he could record this upcoming visit somehow to use in future exchanges of the employee in charge of their supervision.

Anyway, he made his way to the meeting room. He put on, in vain, his best smile before entering as his expression turned to surprise as soon as he recognized who was there.

"Scorpius Malfoy, how long has it been, right?"

The woman got up with a sympathetic smile and extended her hand to him. There was no one other than Rose Weasley, one of her classmates from Hogwarts.

Well, not just a classmate.

She was in Gryffindor, he was in Slytherin along with her cousin Albus. They got close because of this mutual friend and ended up having a sparkly romance at the end of their 7th year.

He remembered that he fell head over heels for her at the time, she was intense and charming and he hated that they drifted apart after Hogwarts. Jane was a simple love affair compared to her, in terms of feelings.

And now she was right in front of him, looking more mature and beautiful than ever.

"Rose Weasley, monitoring agent at the Transport Department of the London Ministry" he said and closed the door behind him "Who knew?"

"It's a mouthful, right?" She joked, "It seems that my mother's willpower works miracles."

"Without a doubt'' he said sitting in front of her ''I always imagined you as, I don't know, Hippogriff trainer, just for the challenge"

"It looks like a nice job" Rose evaluated "But my current one also has its good perks".

"I'll take your word for it" Scorpius smiled,"And speaking of it, I think you would like to visit our production lines, right? Do you have a specific product you'd like to get started with?"

"Don't worry about it, whoever was working with you before left everything well documented and I think we can go over the changes that have taken place since then" she said, dismissing his worries with her hand and opening the thick file that was in front of her in the table "Let's get started?"

Scorpius was surprised for the second time that morning, but now by the efficiency of the woman in front of him.

"Certainly".

Rose had really done her job, Scorpius reckoned, the specific points she wanted to address were highlighted and they managed to get through them all in less than two hours. Some points were left open and they agreed two more visits for her to check directly in the company's laboratories.

"Thanks for your cooperation, Scorpius," Rose said, extending her hand, the two of them already standing.

"Thanks for the objectivity, Rose" Scorpius replied, squeezing his hand back.

"And congratulations on the company, it seems very organized and in compliance".

"That is my father's doing, I just help around a little".

"Nonsense, you must have your merit" Rose smiled mischievously "Even if it's being the cute face of the company".

"Thinking like that, I accept the compliment" Scorpius replied with a false evaluating face.

"But anyway, how about talking more about your business contributions over dinner?" she asked bluntly, Scorpius raised his eyebrows.

"It could definitely happen".

"Great, I'm free on…" she then opened her schedule, looking through her appointments "Thursday".

"It's a date, I'll send you an owl".

"Don't you dare stand me up, I know where you work!" she joked.

"I wouldn't dream of it, I'm a gentleman!"

Scorpius saw Thursday arrive without really realizing the significance of the date. He was evaluating some vendor proposals trying to identify which one was the best when he noticed that the office around him was empty.

He looked at the watch on his wrist and cursed, he was minimally late for his date with Rose Weasley. Without further delay, he left his desk in the mess it was and quickly got out of there.

Rose was waiting in front of the agreed restaurant and looking at her magical cell phone, he smiled that she didn't seem angry for him being late and approached her.

"Rose, how are you? Hope I didn't keep you waiting that long".

"Hello" she said looking up and finding him gase with a smile "No, I've just arrived" she completed putting away her device.

"Great." Scorpius returned the smile.

"Long day at work? You should complain to the owner" Rose joked, looking him up and down.

Scorpius then noticed that she was wearing a light casual outfit that made sense with the summer weather they were in while he was still in his formal work attire.

"I'll keep that in mind when I see him at home again" Scorpius started with a smug smile.

"Good." Rose smirked.

"Now let's go in? Besides holding me at work, the boss hasn't given me a meal since lunch" he said, falsely sad.

"This is inconceivable, poor you" she replied falsely sad and then they entered the restaurant together.

And at that meal Scorpius was once again enchanted by Rose Weasley's charm. She was fun, endearing and could keep you entertained for hours just by talking.

They talked about Hogwarts, laughing at old stories with nostalgia, talked about their mutual friend, Albus, having fun with his shenanigans and lightly judging some of his choices like moving to an orange house in the suburbs of London that still needed several renovations.

They talked about work.

Rose said that after leaving Hogwarts she really specialized in the Curse Breaker career and exercised it for a while. Scorpius replied with an 'I knew it!', pleased. She liked the traveling and the daring challenges of each case.

However, she explained, she ended up turning to the Ministry after being in a pretty nasty accident after which all her family started begging for her to choose something safer. Her mother specifically was already ready to point out the position she now held.

And the truth was: she was enjoying it, she liked dealing with people, and also hanging around meddling in other people's business.

"And since when do you like to interfere in other people's lives?"

"I like to know things, Scorpius, even if the thing in question is the levels of fairy wings in other people's Floo Powders."

"On that note, if they are wrong, you can tell it's not ours." Rose ignored him.

"In addition, it gives me the freedom to not always be in the office and meet new people, or old people for that matter" she said playful smiling at him.

"That does sound like a really good job".

"What about you? I remember you never cared much about your father's company".

"It's a good job, in which I perform well, there's not much else to say" he said with a shrug "It was the normal thing to follow".

"And there's Scorpius I know" she said, slightly annoyed, so lightly that Scorpius decided to pretend it was his imagination.

"Old Scorpius from Hogwarts for sure" he assures and smirked "With a few more wrinkles, but yes, still him"

"Wrinkles!" Rose rolled her eyes "You're the same dead sexy bloke as always".

"And you have the same alluring chat as ever."

They just exchange mirrored playful mischievous grims and provoking meaningful looks for a moment.

"I can't control myself around handsome men," Rose said, breaking their gaze, feigning innocence.

Scorpius laughed and called the waiter to ask for the check and soon enough they were back at the entrance of the restaurant.

Scorpius knew that Rose was as straightforward as they come, daring was part of her everyday life and she was always striving to get what she wanted and almost always got it. To him, her unfiltered demeanor was one of her biggest charms.

Therefore, he just smirked when once outside she turned to him again and said: "Are you sleepy already, Scorpius? Or would you like to take a walk in a park?"

"I should wake up early tomorrow" he said, leaving a little suspense in the air.

"Heavens Scorpius, you are the owner's son, you can arrive whenever you want" Rose rolled her eyes.

"Precisely because he is the owner's son, he can peeve me off whenever he wants" Scorpius reminded her "But for a girl as beautiful as you, I take the risk".

"It's the least I expect" Rose took him by the hand heading through the streets to a nearby park.

The night lights were already on and few people walked the streets of the park chosen by Rose.

They spoke more amenities as they continued into the park, starting again to get to know each other. Neither Rose nor Scorpius let go of each other's hands.

"I was there, but I confess I didn't see you either."

"Any party in my family has an above average amount of people, it's not our fault" Rose said shrugging it off "And Albus, being Albus, sure called a world of people for his birthday".

"I have this theory that Albus could make friends even with a rock," Scorpius said, looking serious for a moment.

"I wouldn't doubt it." Rose smiled.

"You Weasleys are born with social skills from birth."

"The first test is to remember everyone's name," Rose said, nodding her head "It starts as soon as we learn the first word."

"I knew it" Scorpius said "The most I have to remember are 'father' and 'mother'.''

"Lucky you."

"No, I lied, I have my aunt and cousins, but those are 4 people, still not a sacrifice".

"Only the Potters of the family were 5 people".

"I'm sorry for you."

"Sorry my ass, you're too well on your high horse to think about my problems" she said shaking her head.

"You're always on my mind," Scorpius said, gazing meaningfully at her.

"'Always' is a too strong term to use in our situation," she said looking back at him.

"You might be right" he agreed "But right now, you're the only one I can think of".

"There's no way you can't get any girl after saying that," Rose said, getting closer.

"But you're not just any girl, right?"

"No, I'm not." Rose smirked and walked away pulling him with her by the hand.

Scorpius grinned, shaking his head. He didn't know exactly how long they'd been circling around the park, but the moon was already high when silence settled comfortably between them as they crossed a bridge over a lake.

"Today we can see several of your grandparents," Rose said standing on the middle of the bridge looking from the lake to the sky.

Scorpius was surprised by her remembering something that his grandmother Narcissa told him about. She said that the stars were where all the great witches and wizards end up after death, and that's why everyone in the Black family had a name from a star or constellation, to honor them who were watching and guiding whoever stayed here on earth.

A silly but quite beautiful story that he should have shared with her some time before.

"Definitely" he laughed and then approached to speak in a lower voice to her "If we stay really, but really quiet" he paused for the two to be silent for a moment " I think it is even possible to hear in the distance someone complaining about the purity of the family blood".

And the two of them burst out laughing together, Scorpius thought of how the redhead's laugh was one of his most favorite sounds in the world.

They stopped laughing and she looked at him evaluatively, Scorpius raising his eyebrows at that look.

"There's no way you can be comfortable in those clothes".

"My fault, I got stuck at work and had an unmissable appointment to go to" he said with a shrug.

"You must be feeling awful down there," she said, shaking her head.

Scorpius was in fact uncomfortable, his clothes weren't appropriate for the summer weather of that night. But the blonde was taken out of his thoughts by the redhead's hands, pushing his blazer off his shoulders.

"What are you doing?" he asked, but she ignored him, finally managing to remove the piece of cloth. She also loosened his tie a little and undid two of his shirt buttons.

"Much better, if there's one thing I don't miss about Hogwarts it's the ties," she said with a disgusted grimace.

"Am I approved now or will you want to take more of my clothes?" he smirked.

"Is that a question to ask a lady?" Rose rolled her eyes adjusting Scorpius' blazer on her arm.

"Sorry, it was startled by the blazer leaving me, so I got confused with the lady's intentions" he said getting close and gripping his blazer to take it back, Rose didn't let him.

"I hope you're at least cooler now" she said looking at him intensely.

"Indeed it's cooler now, but with you here I don't know for how long".

"You really are a walking menace".

Rose barely finished the sentence before wrapping her arms around the blonde's neck pulling him into a warm kiss. Scorpius was in shock for a few seconds, but soon responded.

She tasted like he remembered, something he just couldn't explain, just got lucky to taste it again. He brought his hands to the small of her back, pulling her closer so he could deepen the kiss even more.

They broke off the kiss not long after, both panting and both with smiles on their lips.

- Tell me Rose, would you like to go to my humble home?

- I thought you'd never ask.

Being with Rose Weasley was better than he remembered. She had several qualities that attracted him: she was direct in saying what she wanted, how and when - which made life a lot easier for someone who liked to follow the flow -, she was funny and intelligent, not to mention stunning too.

Rose was spontaneous, unpredictable, it was why he woke up every day with a smile and went to sleep every night with thoughts of warm chocolate eyes involved by delightful red curls.

She showed up at his workplace at odd hours just to chat or to drag him to grab a bite somewhere, she criticized his wardrobe saying his clothes were way too formal for a guy his age, she took him to muggle places like the cinema to show a new world to him.

Soon enough she was the best part of his day.

But also too soon she was again out of his life.

Only six months after the first date, she decided to end things for no specific reason, just saying it wasn't working.

Scorpius was as desolate as the first time that happened after Hogwarts, lost, without an expontaneous lighthouse to guide him to solid ground. He kept finding himself going through and replaying their moments together trying to figure out what he had done wrong, what he had missed.

Finding it impossible to really know why, he threw himself into his habit of not caring how his life would go, focusing on his work and trying not to think of how lonely and lost he in fact was feeling.

"Malfoy boy, are you staying late another day?"

Scorpius looked up from his files and found Mary Jones looking at him on the doorstep of his office with her arms crossed.

"What time is it?" He asked rhetorically, turning his wrist to look at her watch, 22:07 "It's late, what are you still doing here Mrs. Mary?"

"That's what I asked you," she said entering the room.

"Me? Well, I still have some work to do."

"I'm sure no one will look at this today, go home."

Scorpius knew she was right, he was unhealthy working after hours, but what to do if work seemed like a better prospect than his empty house?

"You need to rest, boy."

"I'm fine," he said, she raised an eyebrow in defiance of those words.

"I have worked for this company since you were nothing more than a project of a person, I know you, Malfoy boy, and you are not 'fine'."

Scorpius sighed, she was right again, Mary Jones could read him sometimes even better than his parents, sometimes better than himself. However this time there was nothing he could do to get better soon, he just had to wait till Rose got off of his system.

"Yeah, I'm not. And you won't leave me alone with my affairs, will you?"

"A friendly shoulder can't hurt," she said, sitting down in one of the chairs in front of his desk.

"Suit yourself" he said, sinking in his chair realizing suddenly how tired he really was "You know I'm a very easygoing person, right?"

"That's one way to describe you, yes."

"I accept whatever is thrown at me, always giving my best to deal with whatever may come. Without complains or asking questions"

"You're very hardworking indeed" she said with a hint of pride.

"Thank you" he said with gratitude "But there's a girl…"

"Miss Weasley, I always thought you made a beautiful couple."

"Yeah, it's her," he said, surprised.

"I know all about you, don't forget" she answered the question in the blonde's eyes, Scorpius shrugged letting her be.

"Anyway, I also always thought we were a good couple" he explained "Although I only remembered that recently."

"She came here."

"Yes, she appeared again, but as abruptly as she came, she went away, moving on with her life" he said a little sorrowfully "Without me, of course."

"Evidently."

Scorpius glared at Mary with hurt and sighed.

"I'm just having a momentary problem in accepting it, that's all. I'll get over it soon enough and move on, you know that, it just takes time."

"And why would you have to accept it?" She asked, crossing her arms, he looked at her as if she had grown another head.

"What do you mean 'Why'? It's her decision" he said as if it was obvious "I don't, and won't, force things, you know that."

"I don't see it as you forcing something in this case, I see it as you fighting for what you want."

Scorpius took a moment to think about what she had said. Fight for her? Never in his life had Scorpius had to, or wanted to, fight for something. He didn't even know if he knew how to do such a thing.

"I don't understand."

Mary looked at him with warm eyes, he was helpless.

"Malfoy boy, you said it yourself that you always accepted whatever happens to you. But the way I see, that might not be enough for the Weasley girl. She may not just want to be accepted as something that happened into your life, but as someone you actively won over."

"But we already got along well, I think I managed to win her over. It just wasn't enough."

"Scorpius, you don't need to answer me, just think, ok? Is she like the others? Does she deserve as much effort as the others?"

The blonde was surprised for a moment to see her name being spoken by that woman and not her affectionate pet name for him. And in the next moment he began to absorb her words. Was Rose like any other girl? Not by a chance. Did she deserve the same from him? No, she deserved more, much more.

"I have to go now, Malfoy boy, but think about what I said."

"But I don't know what I have to do Mrs. Mary, how does one fight for someone?"

"That I can't tell, it has to come from you," she said, getting up and saying her goodbyes, leaving Scorpius alone to get lost in his thoughts.

Rose Weasley looked at her watch, it was just after midnight, who in their right mind would be at her door at that moment?

She had a large and intense family, has something happened to anyone? Why would they knock on her door before sending a message?

But also, she lived alone, would it be someone wanting to harm her? She clutched her wand in her hand, wondering if her E in Defense Against the Dark Arts would be enough right now.

It could be anything really and a million things went through her mind, except what actually was expecting her on her doorstep.

Scorpius Malfoy was over there.

What was Scorpius Malfoy doing there? Did he forget something in her apartment? Did it have something to do with the company? No, it had been 4 months since she had finished his company's evaluation and 1 month since he hadn't come to her apartment.

What was he doing there?

"Um, good night Rose," he said with a slightly wobbly voice, Rose raised an eyebrow, Scorpius had never been wobbly.

"Hello?" she was sure her greeting sounded like a question.

They then stood there for a moment, Rose trying to understand what he was doing there and he, curiously enough, thinking the same thing.

"Can I get in?" He finally decided.

"Oh, yeah, of course," she said, opening the passage for him.

He then went to the living room and she followed him after closing the door.

"Sorry about the time," he asked, taking off his coat, "I hope I didn't disturb your sleep."

"No, I was reading, and just thinking about going to bed," she said, fixing the robe she was wearing over her pajamas.

"That's good," he said, wrapping his coat in his arms in front of him.

"Scorpius, did something happen?" she asked, "You're being weird."

"No, I mean yes" he fumbled with the words and Rose found it more weird "It's complicated."

"You're scaring me."

"No" Scorpius was in distress, Rose had also never seen him in distress "Merlin, why is this so difficult?" He said under his breath.

She was completely confused by what was happening. It was late and Scorpius never troubled anyone after hours, he was just so perfectly polite. Also, he himself was troubled and Rose has never seen him that way either, he had a remarkable composure.

This would be something that she would do, they were just opposites and somehow she liked that. So seeing him acting the way she would, really alarmed her.

He was still nervous and not saying anything, she had to think of something to lighten the mood.

"I can't believe this day has come."

"I'm sorry?" Scorpius asked, confused.

"It's today, isn't it?" She asked, letting out a mischievous smirk. "The day you ask me to help you bury a body, I knew I hadn't prepared myself for anything."

Scorpius then noticed the joking tone and let himself laugh a little, she was trying to easy him up.

"If that was the case, Rose, I hope you have prepared yourself for dirt, burying someone is a nasty job."

"I'll use my best Wingardium Leviosa on him, just wait and see," she said, raising her wand playfully.

"I don't doubt it" he said and finished laughing, continuing with a minor smile on his face, though "But today is not about that I came to talk about."

"You don't say," she said, falsely surprised.

"Rose, this is going to be difficult for me to say so please don't interrupt it" he asked and took a breath, Rose looked at him in silence.

"I came to say 'no'."

"Is that what's so hard?" she mocked, still confused, but seeing that he remained serious complemented, "No to what, Scorpius?"

"No, I don't accept the ending of what we have, it's special to me" he said and she widened her eyes totally surprised once again tonight.

"You're marvelous, you make me laugh, you have a great chat and is algo easy to look at. I want you to continue to brighten my days until I get tired, which probably won't ever happen."

Rose was taken aback, her easy smile faded and a million thoughts flushed through her mind.

"Scorpius, are you...?"

"And I know you like me too, or at least I think I know, even if it's just a tiny bit of you, so I came here to tell you this: I don't accept it."

They looked at each other, their hearts beating faster than normal.

Scorpius hid his trembling hands in his pockets trying to maintain his posture that he knew could crumble at any second.

Rose was stunned, Scorpius had never spoken to her like that, with such passion. She didn't even know he had that ability.

"Wow Scorp" she said trying to think of what to say "That was unexpected."

"It was, wasn't it?" he said and they both laughed a little. "And I say that I don't accept, but it's still a relationship that goes both ways, so yes, I would still accept a 'no', but I'm really hoping for a 'yes'."

"Damn Scorpius, you'll be the death of me" Rose said with a small smile "Is this the time to have an epiphany like that?"

"Sorry, but when she showed me how stupid she was being, I couldn't wait…"

"Who told you what?"

"That's not important, what matters is your response to me fighting for you."

"Oh, this you fighting for me?" Rose laughing playfully.

"I don't know what I'm doing, Rose, and your attitude is not helping" he shook his head annoyed "I'm clearly lost, I just know what I want, and what I want is you, if you'd have me."

He threw the coat to the side nervously, passing his hand on his hair and messing up hairdo. He had never in his life held his heart upon his sleeve this openly or bluntly.

"Let's analyze your plan for a moment" she said with the mischievous smile still playing on her lips, Scorpius rolled his eyes.

"You've decided that you would fight for me, you came to my house in the middle of the night, you say you want me and you don't accept 'no' for an answer, but also accept it because it is something that can happen."

"It seems you've been paying attention, I'm in your hands, what do you say?" He said looking her in the eyes.

"Scorpius, in this kind of situation there's nothing I can say," she said, shaking her head as if he were a misunderstood child.

"I understand" he said, lowering his head.

Well, that's the answer, she didn't want to hurt his feelings even more. The best thing to do was get his coat and disappear from her life at once.

He took a step back.

"No, you don't."

And then Rose walked over to him and kissed him hard, trying to see if that way he understood what was really happening.

She fancied Scorpius hard since Hogwarts but never thought that he felt the same, every step in their relationship happened because of her, so she understood that for him she was just another one. And Rose Weasley didn't like to be 'just another one' to anyone, even if the person in question was the perfect Scorpius Malfoy.

Before she got too attached, she better get herself away from him. It had worked once, right?

But to prove even more how perfect he was, there stood him in her house saying what she wanted to hear for a long time now, that he really liked her too. After that she would not let him slip away from her fingers ever again, even if he tried.

They slowly stopped the kiss with playful little kisses, both were grinning widely. Truer and wider smiles have never crossed either lips.

"This means…"

"It means my answer is yes, of course it's yes" she said, shaking her head like that was obvious. "I never thought you wanted anything more than a fling, I thought I was just for fun, so the best thing was to finish before I started to feel more than that."

"I was so obviously into you."

"You never even asked me to be your girlfriend, in six months!"

"I've considered you my girlfriend after the first week."

"Guess my owl about it got lost on the flight."

"I really am an idiot for almost letting you escape the second time."

"Indeed, You really are"

She agreed with him and used her hands that were still on his neck to get him closer to kiss him again.

Scorpius fed his daughter Ursula in her high chair as he looked at the details of where each guest would sit at his wedding.

"Rose, I know that marriage is your domain, but Mrs. Mary is my guest" he said, getting the attention of his fiancée and pointing to the name on the sitting model "She would feel better at my family table."

Rose came over sipping her tea and seated by his side to get a better look at what he was saying.

"Don't talk nonsense, Blondie, Mrs. Jones is a friend of my family" she said dismissing his words "She was practically a third grandmother to me, she's very good friends with my maternal grandmother Jane, so she's on her table."

"Um, no, Mrs. Mary is like my grandmother," he said, emphasizing the word 'my'. "She has worked with my father since I was a little older than Ursula."

They then looked at each other in surprise at the revelation and at the same time reasoning what that information meant.

"Wait, Mrs. Jones was the mysterious Mrs. Mary you are always talking about?"

"Yes, did she..?" Scorpius asked not knowing the rest of his question.

"That naughty lady!" Rose complained, smirking "At Hogwarts, she was the one who listened to my troubles and encouraged me to take a chance on you."

"She was the one who told me to fight for you three years ago," Scorpius said, smiling at her.

"I can't believe she was our mysterious Cupid" Rose complained, throwing herself in the chair next to him, anstoniched "Devious is what she is!"

"Don't be so mean, I think she deserves a gift" Scorpius said, giving Rose a peck on the lips and turning to his daughter "Just one more spoonful Little Bear, come on" Scorpius asked and the daughter finally accepted. "Okay, she's fed, her kindergarten bag is already prepared and I've already reviewed the seats of the party, although I can't differentiate good or bad about your family's seating, that's up to you" he said, wiping Ursula's mouth and turning to Rose. "And Albus will be here any moment to get her to school."

"That damn friend of yours!" She joked.

"That damn cousin of yours!"

"He feels entitled to get in her life just because he found out about her before us." Rose crossed her arms.

"Or maybe he feels entitled because he is her godfather, who knows?" he joked too "Well, is there something more you need from me?"

"No, it seems like you got it all." she said, nodding her head and Scorpius smiled dragging his chair back to leave the table

"No, wait, I remembered something."

"What is it?" He looked at her alarmed.

"This" she said and pulled him by the tie to give him a proper kiss.

Yeah, Scorpius was an easygoing person, anything was fine, no, rephrasing that, anything Rose was involved with or approved of was fine.

Before her, Scorpius was mostly lost, adrift. He needed Rose to find him, love him and bring him to her side that was safe and sound, his home.

If Scorpius still went with the flow, it was surely Rose who pointed the way he was supposed to go and he couldn't be happier any other way.
