To Avel, it was very unusual for a Lis to live at an altitude high enough to not be reached by Kkulf Kkulf or even one of it's tentacles.
The Rising Dragon Island was the name of this island and around 125,000 dragons lived on the island's surface. The island was around 35km in diameter, with mountains that are around 1.5km tall to above. It was a perfect haven for the dragons that lived here.
It was created around KuKu0080 or 113 years earlier by one of the four KingDragons that led a force of 200 thousand dragons against the Demon King while Kkulf Kkulf waged war against all of the dragons all by itself.
Naturally, several thousand dragons died, and the island's creation by the efforts of one of the KingDragons with the help of several tens of thousands of dragons was finished.
Taking that away from the current situation, Avel slowly approached the Lis, who was frozen in fear, just like all of them should.
However, Maggihwa mentioned something about the Lis's outstanding intelligence, therefore Avel thought it was impossible, yet he was curious.
"Little one, do not fear me. I am only here because of my own interests and curiosity, that includes you, little one." Avel said while trying not to sound menacing, and Kayblis listened while still being cautious.
"Lisbeth... was it? I am the Shadow Dragon, Avel. You were surprised when I suddenly appeared earlier, right? Even if you cannot talk, you can use gestures if you need to communicate." Avel continued as his four eyes were locked on to Kayblis, even if the said Lis didn't even like the said name as it was feminine.
Several questions were asked towards him, and Avel started to know the Lis better. He used simple questions that didn't rely the answerer to speak anything.
Eventually, Avel started to warn Kayblis after he had fired his questions.
"Little one belonging to the Antagonist Race, hear this: Do not ally yourself to Demon King Kkulf Kkulf, or else we will become your enemies and hunt you down until you're dead." Avel then picked up Kayblis and sent him back to Maggihwa's house.
Kayblis also considered the pros and cons, but he just doesn't like to die without a real goal that would be achieved by him.
Therefore, he started planning to leave this island, though because of the height, there's a huge chance he might die. Due to it, he would gamble onto his Race's evolutionary traits and characteristics.
During that time, Kayblis spent a lot of time practicing magic in complete secret, and also trying to find out how would he will himself to evolve.
Occasionally, he would have time to observe the dragons and their movements, learning several things about them.
But, no matter how fascinating their acts were, Kayblis couldn't deny one fact: they're very prideful about themselves.
He also noticed that he was never attacked nor being toyed on simply because Magihwa was one of the strongest and most valuable dragons besides the KingDragon of the Rising Dragon Island.
And, there are still decisions he should make after one year of staying and training around the island. The training included moving at various speeds around the island for an entire hour, strengthening his body by doing push-ups, sit-ups, and other various exercises.
He had been careful in doing everything else, so he should be fine, right?
Well, about that...
... He only remembered that he's several kilometers above ground once he was at the edge of the floating island.
