"No purple," someone whispered, they then snickered.
I sat straight up in bed, confused about what was going on. Once I was able to make out my surroundings, I noticed Leo was sitting at the edge of the bed staring at us. I kind of jumped at the sudden sight of him, which woke Damian up.
"What?" Daiman said as he sat up, confused and half asleep, "it's something wrong? Is everything okay?"
"Everything is fine Damian, it's just your stupid brother," I growled, then pushed Leo off the bed. He hit the ground with a thud, causing Damian to fully wake up.
We both peered over the edge of the bed at the now laughing Leo as he lay on the floor.
"What the heck does no purple mean?" I asked. Damian shrugged.
"You've never heard that expression before?" Leo said as he sat up.
"No."
"Boys are blue and girls are pink, blue and pink make purple, so no purple," Leo explained.
"Can I be green?" I asked as I climbed down the ladder, off the bunk beds, "I don't like pink."
"Sure," Leo said, "no turquoise then."
"I'm pretty sure-, Okay never mind," Damian said as he climbed down as well.
"So what were you doing up there?" Leo asked me.
"We came back late last night and Coral was spread out in our bed and I didn't want to wake her. I didn't want to, but Damian suggested that I could sleep on the top bunk."
"I thought you don't like the top bunk," Calypso said as she and Coral walked in with a tray of food.
"Ooo, food," Leo said as he went up to Cal and grabbed the tray out of her hands.
"Exactly why I didn't want to," I explained to Calypso.
"You were fine though," Damian said as he too went to take some food.
We all sat down on the floor and ate breakfast while talking about past adventures.
"So it got stuck in Chiron's tail?" I said while trying my best not to laugh, but failed.
"Yeah, I pulled the arrow back and before I knew it Chiron was right up in my face handing me my arrow," Damian laughed.
It got silent for a moment before Calypso spoke.
"So Trish, how long have you been out of that ice?" Calypso asked.
"Uh, maybe three weeks, I think," I responded.
"Well you look like you're doing really well considering you were a popsicle for five years," Leo laughed.
Everyone got deathly silent.
"A popsicle," I repeated.
"I-I'm sorry Trish, I didn't mean it."
Leo said.
"That's what you call being stuck in ice for five years. A popsicle? I'll show you a popsicle." All of the water from several cups that we'd been drinking from flows towards Leo, drenching him in water. I made a shrinking gesture and all the water instantly turned to ice. I left the room, leaving a shocked, ice covered, Leo. I left the door open, knowing that Damian was going to follow.
I walked out to the caboose to see the worker from yesterday with a cigarette in his mouth.
"Oh hey," he said.
"Uh, Hi."
"You seem to come out here a lot," he said.
"Well when you're traveling with three friends and your seven year old baby sister in one room, it can get a bit crowded. Plus stress is bad for me."
"Bad how?"
"Health reasons," I lied.
Just then Damian walked out. "Hey are you okay?" He asked me.
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"I'm sure Leo didn't mean it," Damian tried to make me feel better, it didn't help.
"Yet he still said it," I said.
"Trish you're overreacting," Damian said, wrong answer.
I turned to the guy with the cigarette, "Hey, how would you feel to come out of a coma after five years just to find out your best friend is dead, and your friend calls you a vegetable?"
"I'd be pretty mad," he said as a puff of smoke came out of his mouth.
I turned to Damian, "see."
"Well I'll let you two discuss this, I need to get back to work," he went to walk back through the door, "oh and no one but me ever comes out here so you should be good as long as you don't do anything stupid."
"Thanks." Then he walked through the door and shut it.
I stood with my arms crossed, looking out at the tracks we were leaving behind.
Damian wrapped one arm around me. "How did you do that anyway?" He asked, "Cover Leo in ice I mean."
"It's simply, I just pulled the water molecules closer together, hardening it, which makes ice. Basic science really."
"You will never cease to amaze me," Damian said as he kissed the top of my head.
"Thanks." Then I decide to say what had been in my mind all day. "Do you know if your mom was some kind of Oracle?"
"Trish-,"
"I'm serious." I said, "I know you don't want to talk about her, and neither do I, but what I'm saying needs to be said. She knew we would meet, she knew about me."
"What?" Damian let go of me and stared at me.
"W-What she said to you. 'Earthly equivalent to order and chaos.' There was a book written about me, before even the Immortals were alive, and it called me the earthly equivalent to order and chaos. That's what my two sides are, order and chaos."
"Why didn't you mention that yesterday?" Damian asked.
"Would you really have wanted me to mention it yesterday? Anyways, Annabeth will know."
"How do you know?"
"Because she has the book."
Thanks for reading! AN: just a reminder that I may not be able to post in the next few days but I will try my best to get at least a few chapters ready to be posted. Stay safe!
