We left Coral with Annabeth while me, Damian, and Percy went off to Camp Jupiter's arena-like place.
"So why is he coming?" Percy whispered to me.
"I can hear you," Damian grumbled.
"Sorry," Percy said, "it's just, I was hoping to talk to Trish alone."
"Whatever you say to me you can say to Damian," I told Percy.
"Wait, are you two… dating?" Percy asked.
"No," we both answered.
"Are you sure?"
"Percy drop it," I exclaimed.
"Fine."
As we walked to the arena thingy, I noticed that Camp Jupiter had changed like Camp Half Blood did. It was like a war had been raging for years and finally it went silent.
As if reading my mind, Percy said, "the same thing happened here that happened to Camp half blood. Monsters attacked almost everyday, trying to find you."
"I am so sorry," I muttered.
"It's nothing to be sorry about Trish," Damian said, "it wasn't your fault you got kidnapped."
"It is my fault though, if I had just listened to everyone and had not brought Coral with me none of this would have happened."
"Don't think like that Trish," Percy comforted, "it doesn't help, I should know. If you read those books that the oracle wrote, you know what happened to Nico's sister don't you?"
"Yeah."
"Well for months I thought it was my fault, like if I just had done something differently, would she still be alive? Would Nico still be the excited little boy he used to be? I've thought about it hundreds of times, and let me tell you it does not help."
Once we got to the arena, Percy put on armor and got riptide out. "So two swords now, I wonder how this is going to go," Percy smiled.
I pulled out Stygian and καλοσύνη and readied them at my sides. "It's definitely different, fighting with both of them," I said.
I watched as Percy readied Riptide and charged at me. I blocked his first attack with Stygian them tried to get him with καλοσύνη but he backed away too fast. I tried to swing once again but Percy was too fast.
Percy then swung at me and I've seen him fight enough times to know what he was trying to do, he was trying to disarm me of one of my swords. I quickly looked around me and noticed a beat up shield laying on the other side of the arena. I willed it to come over to me. When the shield came right for him, Percy had no clue what was happening since he didn't know yet that I was training to control my curse with my mind.
It hit him in the head with a clank and knocked him on the ground. I took that opening to kick Riptide out of Percy's hand and point καλοσύνη at his head.
"What in Hades' name just happened?" Percy questioned.
"Nico taught me a trick," I smiled. I put my swords away and helped Percy to his feet.
"But what was that?" He asked.
"She's been learning how to use her curse with her mind," Damian said from over on a bench.
"That's awesome!" Percy exclaimed.
"It's not that awesome when I get just as tired from doing that as fighting a thousand monsters at once. It puts a lot of stress on my brain," I explained.
For the next few rounds, I decided to take my cloak off. These rounds weren't as exciting since Percy said I wasn't allowed to use my curse but we still had a great time. At one point, Damian joined us and the three of us spared each other. It was chaotic at first but we got a hold of it eventually. It wasn't until the sun went down till we headed back to the Jackson estate (that's what I like to call it), Annabeth took me and Damian to a guest bedroom and he slept on the floor while I slept in the bed. No turquoise remember.
Even though Percy missed bath time, Annabeth didn't seem angry, the only thing she seemed bothered by was the bump now forming on Percy's forehead from where I hit him with the shield.
I said no turquoise, but halfway through the night, I found myself laying on the floor in Damian's arms. Plus turquoise is a nice color don't you think?
