I do not own the PJO characters. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, it's been a crazy few weeks.

"Look I don't want to talk about this now," I said, "I need to ask Melody some questions."

"Fine, but I still don't want to go there."

I ignored Damian as I walked into the room where Will was giving the girl I found in the woods, a check up.

"How is she?" I asked Will as I walked in.

"She's completely healthy with only a few scraps and bruises, nothing you can't fix," Will said.

I walked over to Melody and gave her a small smile. "How old are you Melody?" I said sweetly.

She held up four fingers. I raised my eyebrows, "your only four!" She nodded.

I took a deep breath. "May I ask you a question?" I asked. She nodded once again. "Where did you get that band? I know it was from the Immortals, but how did you get it?"

"My mother gave it to me, then had me go to you. She said that I would be safer with you." Melody explained quietly.

"And who might your mother be?" Will asked her.

"Nemesis."

I was silent for a few moments. This is Nemesis's child, maybe this was her way of making peace with me? Was she trying to trick me? I took a deep breath. Just because her mother is Nemesis, that doesn't mean that Melody would hate me too. People aren't their parents.

"Okay Melody, how about we go get you some new clothes and introduce you to some really nice people?" I said as I took her small hand.

"Okay!" she said excitedly.

I lifted her up off the bed she was sitting on and walked out of the room with her holding my hand. As we were walking out of the infirmary, Will called after me.

"You left your cloak in the room, you probably need it."

"Yeah," I said as I took it out of his hands, "thanks." I draped it over my shoulders and looked down at the little girl who was staring at me.

She smiled and said, "you're missing something." She let go of my hand and walked over to Damian who still had that metal band in his hands. She grabbed it from him and brought it over to me. She pulled me down so that I was kneeling on the ground and she placed it around my head, then pulled my hair down so that it had fallen down my back. "There," she beamed.

I smiled back at her, she definitely was not her mother.

I looked up at Damian with a smile still plastered on my face. He stared at me for a second before turning his head, a frown on his face. I stood back up, a smile still on my face. But this time, it was fake.

"Okay Melody, I need to talk to someone first, then we can do whatever you want."

"Okay," she said quietly.

After a few minutes of searching, we finally found out where Hazel was. It wasn't too hard, it isn't everyday that an Immortal and a praetor visit camp. Everyone was talking about them.

Melody must have noticed everyone looking at me with hateful expressions because she asked me why they were staring like that.

"Oh, that. Well most people here don't like me, they think I'm a danger and want me gone."

"That's not right," she frowned.

"You said it."

Hazel was exactly where everyone said she was. In the Hades cabin hanging out with Nico. "Hey," I said as I walked into the cabin without even knocking. Good thing I didn't because they were in the middle of an intense game of mythomagic.

"Oh hey Trish," Nico said as he laid down a card. "What's with the fancy crown?"

I ignored him. "Hazel you need to leave. Frank needs help with something, I don't know what. It didn't seem too urgent though." I explained.

"Okay," she said, not even looking away from the cards in her hand. "I'll grab my stuff and we can leave."

"Oh, uh, we're not coming back with you right now, we need to take care of something." I looked over at Damian who still wasn't looking me in the face.

He muttered something but I couldn't make out what he said. All I heard was "I ing."

"What?"

"I said, I'm not going." Damian repeated.

My face fell. "What?"

"I can't go see her with you," he said.

I stood there shocked. "B-but you said you would never leave me," I stuttered.

"I'm sorry, but I just can't see her."

"Damian, I'll be with you. I told you that she can't hurt you as long as I'm with you."

"We should probably give them some space," Hazel whispered to Nico as she pulled him out the door.

His mouth pulled into a frown. "I'm sorry Trish, but I can't." Then he walked out the door.

I stepped out of the Hades cabin and watched Damian walk off, he just walked off. Just like that. I stood there for awhile staring into space, still shocked by what just happened.

I saw Nico and Will walk up beside me in my peripheral vision. "Are you okay?" Nico asked, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"He left me, he left me." Was all I was able to say.

"Trish you're overreacting, it's not like he never wants to see you again, he just doesn't want to see his mother. You're going to be okay." Will said.

"No Will, I'm not going to be okay!" I yelled. "He's the only reason why I haven't been blowing up at people, why I've been able to keep my cool this long. Where is he? I've made up my mind, I'm not going to his mothers. I'd rather live knowing that I could have helped her and didn't than without him. Where is he?"

"Trish, calm down. He already left five minutes ago."

"He- he left?" My eyes became blurry with tears and my head spun.

"Are you okay?" Will asked. I didn't respond so he waved his hand in front of my face.

"Let's take her back to her cabin, let her rest," Nico suggested.

As they were pulling me towards my cabin I collapsed like a sack of potatoes. I just kneeled in the grass, unable to move or speak. "Trish, come on, your acting like it's the end of the world," Nico said as he went to pull me up, and he would have been able to if I hadn't knocked him on the ground.

He stumbled into the grass in front of me, his eyes met mine and a wave of panic washed over me. "You need to run," I whispered, "I-I can't s-stop it without him."

"Trish you're going to be fine, you haven't exploded in a while, ever since…" it must have hit him because his face lit up.

"Since the ice," I finished, "since Damian. But all of it is going to come rushing back. Jamie dying, the stress, the anger, all of it. Everyone either needs to leave or get me out of here."

"How do you know?" Will asked.

I looked up at him with sadness in my eyes. "I can feel it coming."

I noticed that people had started to gather to see why I was on the ground.

"Everyone needs to leave!" Will yelled.

"Why?" Someone asked.

"She's unstable, it's not safe!" Yelled Nico.

"She's fine," I heard Jazmin yell from the crowd, "she said she would never hurt us. Isn't that right, Trishy?"

"Don't call me that," I said, suddenly out of breath. Sharp pain shot through my head and I gasped, I clutched my head as it began to throb. Even more people started to gather.

"Leave," I croaked, my voice now hoarse.

"How about no," Jazmin said, "we had a deal, we'll leave you alone and you can't hurt us."

"I don't want to hurt you," I growled.

"Then prove it," she sneered.

"Leave her alone!" A little girl screamed. Melody pushed her way through the crowd.

Jazmin let out a laugh. "Aren't you a cutie, how about you leave us big kids to deal with this ourselves."

"No," Melody growled.

Jazmin's smile melted off her face. "No? Hm. Who do you think you are little girl?"

"I am the child of Nemesis," she stated, "and Trish has done nothing wrong to anyone here."

"Yes she has!" Jazmin argued.

"Really? Name one?"

"She blew up the pavilion," Jazmin said, putting her hands on her hips and holding her head a little higher.

"Only because she was provoked. Afterwards she fixed her mistake and apologized, that is no reason." Melody really wasn't letting Jazmin off the hook.

"Well then, um," Jazmin was speechless, her mouth gaped open.

"Exactly, she has done nothing wrong except save your sorry butts and try to live her life. She doesn't deserve this. You might think that she's a danger to you, when really you're the danger to her. All she's doing is trying to keep her gift from the gods under control and you're making it harder."

As Melody finished, I groaned in pain and gripped my knees. Suddenly I could no longer hold it in. The air turned cold and the sky pitch black. My curse was taking control. Wind blew around me, making it hard to hear. I glowed with a sickly yellow color and around me, people were trying not to float up in the air.

Even over the roaring wind, I was able to hear an oddly familiar voice. I looked up to see Jamie walking towards me.
