Finally, today is the day! Mum bought me a snowy owl a few days ago, to deliver letters. I named her Frostine. She flapped her wings several times inside the cage, sending a few feathers. Mum said the funnest thing to do was riding a broom. My heart was thrilled. As usual, I wore a black shirt, plaid jacket, and jeans. A headband hung on my head, and my hair was tied low. I let out some side bangs so I won't look too common. Mum asked me to do the weirdest thing I knew. She asked me to run to the platform between 9 and 10. I told her no, but mum just smiled.

She made me see some children running to the wall… and they actually vanished! "Welcome to the Wizard World, Jane." Mum winked. I gulped, held my cart tight, breathed, closed my eyes, and crossed the wall. I ran and ran for about 5 seconds. No thud nor bang was felt. I opened my eyes cautiously. I…was on platform 9 ¾? I blinked. Mum followed back, never losing her happy mood. Then, I spotted Harry. I awkwardly said hi to him. Harry smiled big as he eyed me. He drove his cart beside me. "Hello, Harry dear." Mum cheerfully said.

"Hello, Mrs…er.." Harry's voice got smaller. "Call me Mrs. Davies, dear." Mum finally said. "Well, yes. Hello, Mrs. Davies." Harry said again. Mum gave him another smile and soothed my hair. The train arrived and it was time to say goodbye to mum. I hugged her really tight, never letting it go. A little tear welled on my eyes but now I am 11. I shall not cry anymore like a baby. I swallowed down the tear and buried my eyes on my mom's warm chest. "I am going to miss you so much, mum." I croaked, trying hard not to cry. "Oh dear…my little girl goes to Hogwarts…Mummy is so proud of you, sweetheart." Mum's voice wasn't really cheerful like before.

Mum and I shared another tight hug. Mum pecked me several times, and promised to send me a letter as frequently as she could and I promised the same. Before I went inside the train, mum hung a necklace on my neck. "For some purposes, princess." Mum just said that. Only that. I kissed mum on her cheeks once more and waved goodbye. Mum pushed some galleons of money in my pocket until it was full. "I made a bank book for you. Go to Gringotts and just say my name. Here's the key. Keep it safe, lovely." Mum nodded. "OK mum, thank you." I said bravely. Harry was waiting for me. "I will never forget your mother, dear boy. You can ask for my help anytime. Farewell, kids!" Mum shouted as we got on the train.

Harry and I grinned at each other, still excited. When we tried to put out bags and stuff, two very tall red-haired boys came towards us. "Hello, Harry. Need any help?" their voices were definitely older than us, but there were some playful tunes to it. "I would really appreciate it, George and Fred." Harry answered. I watched the two boys, so-called George and Fred, moving Harry's stuff. Harry thanked them when the two boys were done. I looked at my loaded stuff and gazed at the two boys. They grabbed my things and helped me. I didn't know what to say. "T…Thanks, I've only got galleons. Let me serve you with some of my money, please."I politely said as I placed about 3 galleons each on their long palms.

They didn't move at all. They were just staring at the money like they got gold. They cheered and gave me a high five. I smiled at them and they walked away, still leaping. Harry sat on the train and I sat beside him, not opposite of him. When I sat down, I accidentally touched Harry's hands. His hands were unexpectedly soft. Harry jumped and stared at me. I quickly moved my hands and apologized to him. "S…Sorry, Harry. An accident. You've got soft skin." I remarked. Harry looked away and kind of blushed.

We shared our life stories as the train traveled, making some rattling noises. Harry did have a miserable life. Suddenly, another red haired boy peered at us. "Ron!" Harry happily waved. "Harry." Ron smiled at Harry and gave me a curious glance. "May I sit with you two? Who are you, by the way?" Ron's eyes never got away from me. "Sure, Ron. She's a friend of mine." Harry said. "H…Hi. My name is Jane. Jane Davies. My mum was friends with Harry's mother. My dad is a muggle and my mum's a witch."I introduced briefly. "Nice to meet you! I am Ron, from Weasley."Ron's cheerful voice was making the awkwardness break. "Nice to see you, too." I said.

We also met a girl named Hermione Granger. She was often bossy and smart. But I liked her. She wasn't hateable. Hermione was a muggle, so I often related what she talked. Ron, who wasn't a muggle often got himself mixed up by the word: televisions or phone. Hermione had frizzy, brown, untamable hair and brown eyes. She wasn't exactly pretty but she was a fair-looking girl. "You're quite a beauty, Jane." Hermione often said that to me. Ron and Harry always agreed to it. The boys would always snigger to each other, telling silly jokes. All boys are the same either on muggle world or wizard world, Hermione said it to me. I nodded in agreement.

Me and Harry bought some snacks from the lady who sells snacks. We bought almost everything on the cart. Me and Harry paid half. Hermione and Ron had no money to spare but we happily gave them as much as they wanted. My most favorite one was the Jelly Slug. It was basically a jelly that looked like a snake. Ron never stopped eating Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. It was like a jelly bean in the muggle world. "George swear he got a booger flavor once." Ron nodded. Hermione gagged. Harry mostly ate the Chocolate Frog that has a picture of Hogwarts professors that actually moved!

After all those fun events on the train, we changed our clothes. We wore a neat plain sweater and a black robe. For girls, we needed to use a gray skirt and a black socks with mary jane shoes. Boys used uniform-looking pants and a leather shoe. Ron also told me about his brothers and a little sister. I was impressed by how many brothers he had!

Surprisingly, Hagrid greeted us. Me and Harry were chatting with Hagrid while Ron and Hermione helplessly gaped at us. Harry introduced Hagrid to Ron and Hermione. Ron was often gasping for Hagrid's tallness. We had to ride a boat so we could reach the school building. We had no time, that was for sure. Hagrid impatiently hauled us to the lake. Harry and Ron were busy giving the last look at the train. I pushed my body between them and gently crossed their arms together. To my surprise, they didn't object when I touched them. I ran to Hermione with two boys.

"C'mon, you both. We have no time." Hermione reprimanded them. We meekly rode the boat and arrived at the…castle?! Hagrid said it was a school, not a castle. It was a really huge and old fashioned looking school. Hagrid opened a really huge gate of the castle for us and we entered. There were about 40 new kids like me.

Many boys didn't stop looking at me. There was this boy who had a white looking blonde hair who kept giving me uncomfortable creepy smirks. I leaned beside Harry whenever I felt uncomfortable. It was like me and Harry became best friends.

Then, an old woman with a tight bun entered inside the gate. She looked quite strict but also kind in some parts. She told us about house things and stuff. We entered the Great Hall. It. Was. Amazing. To make things short, we all got sorted to Gryffindor and yeah. We had some dinner and went to our common room where we could chat.

And the other boys would keep staring at me nonstop. We had some hot cocoa and marshmallows. Ron almost finished the whole packet of marshmallow but I stopped him from getting diabetes. We brushed our teeth and went to sleep. Harry's brilliant green eyes and Ron's friendly grin was the last thing I remember before closing my eyes for a sleep.
