I was awakened by Hermione gently shaking me. As Hermione opened the window, the morning sunlight warmed my body. "Morning, Hermione.. Er…What time is it right now?" I murmured. "It's 7:30. C'mon. The boys are waiting for us for breakfast." Hermione said. "Oh," I paused. "Right." I jumped from my bed, wore my slippers, and pulled the robe on. When we got out of the bedroom, Ron and Harry were already there. "Hi!" Ron grinned. I flipped my hair nonchalantly and the two boys were exchanging shy glances at each other. Hermione rolled her eyes and said she was starving.

The Great Hall was full of yawners and puffy eyed students eating their breakfast. I sat beside Harry and Hermione sat beside Ron, two facing two. I had 3 toasts, tea, then fried eggs. I was just blinking blankly while munching off the toasts and suddenly…thud! Something dropped right in front of my eyes. Ron gasped loudly. It was a letter. My owl, Frostine, was flying around me. Hermione didn't look surprised.

"Your pet owl is delivering letters from your parents." Hermione explained, nodding. "Go have a look." Ron suggested. I slowly grabbed the letter, opened it and saw my mum's neat handwriting. Three heads were getting closer to the letter. "Let me just read it." I said. The three heads retreated again.

Dear Jane,

How was your first day in Hogwarts? Have you had the feast? Did you also meet Nearly Headless Nick? I reckon you got sorted as Gryffindor, no doubt. Have you made any friends? How's Harry? Keep in mind that mummy is always wishing for the very best, dear. Letter me whenever you need something. I love you, Jane!

That was the letter mum sent. "Nearly Headless Nick." Ron repeated, grinning. Nick bulged out of nowhere, making us all jump. By that time, I was already awake completely. Nearly Headless Nick often made us smile or even laugh when we're in a bad mood. He's such a nice man. He said he knows my mum, Harry's mum, and even Ron's mum!

We had lessons, Draco being so cheeky, and finally had our free time to rest. We huddled around together and discussed today's lessons. While me and Ron hissed madly about Professor Snape's attitude, Hermione was reading A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Switch with Harry constantly groaning whenever Hermione asked him difficult questions.

Me and Ron played a clapping game and never stop laughing whenever I lose. The Clapping game is a game Ron made by the way. It's really simple. All you need is a bit of speed and skill. You will hold each other's hands and clap your palm when Ron or I say the word "milk bottle!". Ron's such a funny boy. I really like his sense of humor.

"May I join?" Harry whined. "No." Hermione stormed. "Let him join, Hermione." Ron said. "Fine…." Hermione reluctantly said. Harry happily sat between us. Ron thought of an idea for 3 people. "The player amount has to be even." Ron blinked. We all stared at Hermione. "What?" Hermione stared back at us. "Will you join us?" I asked, almost pleading. "Sure." Hermione hopped in between us. We played the game for about 30 minutes together. Ron, of course, was the best one.

Our eyes drooled and we went to our bedrooms to have a good night sleep.
