The Sensha-Do club had gathered around to figure out what was happening. Some of the students were curious to say the least of what was going to happen. They had gathered in the garage as many of them had bundled up for this occasion. It was still snowing so many of their boots were covered in the white powder they tracked in from their walk outside. Anzu, Momo and Yuzu came in bundled up as well.

"Well Ooarai, we got some news. Ami has green-lit the experiment so we have some time to well… experiment. Naomi's shipment that she sent us gave us plenty of arms to experiment with and we should color code with the balloons to figure out who's who when the matches are conducted." Yuzu told the group about what they figured out as of recently.

"Hopefully they could come fast as I don't want to be standing here freezing my toes off." Aya told the group. She was feeling the chill of the winter weather already.

"Okay so to quickly wrap this up, we'll get everyone to choose what arms they want to use and which teams would participate. Turtle team has called for the Signals group as we are going to keep track of everyone plus I'm most likely busy with papers." Yuzu told the group. "Meeting dismissed." Yuzu was the first to walk away as the others followed behind. They were moreover curious about who they want to represent for their groups.

"Who wants to volunteer for this sport?" Miho asked her friends.

"Well we don't know how many people per snowmobile so we better choose carefully." Hana responded. There were five of them in their group and two students needed, Hana looked over to Mako as she was the driver for the Panzer 4, making her the perfect candidate.

"If you're going to ask me to drive, no." Mako responded. She walked away as she didn't want to participate in this sport. "I've got enough as it is and I don't need more." The others watched Mako disappear as they had lost their driver.

"Well if Mako doesn't want to participate, we lost our best driving candidate." Hana told the group. Yukari stepped up next and began speaking.

"If she doesn't want to participate, let me do it, I think I can handle the cold." Yukari volunteered, she was willing to try something new out and give it a chance.

"You are bold right there Yukari." Miho stated. Yukari nodded with approval as she was fired up with excitement.

"Yeah I'm willing to volunteer. Now all we need is a second volunteer to help us." Yukari responded. The remaining four girls began to think. Yukari was one but they now needed a second girl on their team to help them out if it meant getting them to the number they needed.

"So who else is willing to go up there?" Miho asked the others. Saori, Hana and Yukari thinked. Mako was out of the picture but they needed one other girl other than Yukari.

"I think you're the perfect candidate Miho." Saori told her as she had come to that conclusion. Miho seemed puzzled at first.

"Why is that?" Miho asked.

"You're an excellent commander for the Sensha-Do team and you've led us to victory before so you'll be a natural leader." Saori told Miho that she had confidence in her leading the team to victory. Anglerfish team had their volunteers.

"We should write this all down on a piece of paper to see who is going to volunteer." Hana suggested. Saori nodded as the group got back inside.

"Hopefully tomorrow should be clear so we can train." Yukari said about the weather. She wasn't used to a winter like this. "My feet feel numb from standing out there."

"Mine probably too. Let's just try warming ourselves up." Miho told the group. Saori went off to get a piece of paper and a pencil to write their names down for Momo.

"Momo established that they are the signals team so let's jot that down." Hana told Saori as she jotted Turtle team's names down as the signals team.

"So we got two volunteers, we also need to establish the other volunteers as well." Miho told them. She then turned to Hana and Saori.

"Hana, Saori, I want you two to go to the other teams to find some volunteers and write their names down. We also need to fill out the first aid group and the repair group." Miho gave the order to look for those that want to participate and put their skills to the test.

"Repair group is going to be a piece of cake. The Automotive club would tend to the repairs but I don't know who wants to act as medical staff." Hana told them. Miho nodded as she and Yukari began to walk away. They now needed to get a team together. Momo's idea was slowly taking shape.

The next morning, the skies were dull and gray but thankfully it had stopped snowing. Miho and the others were bundled up as they had jotted everyone's names down and which tank group would volunteer was going into which role. Momo had claimed the signals team as stated a few lines above if you were paying attention to this.

"Uh mister narrator, can you get back to the actual story, Miho has the paper for the volunteers." Momo told the person who was typing this to get back on track. That was a mistake on my end. Anyway, back to the story. Momo looked on when Miho handed her the slip of paper.

"Saori and Hana did most of the work to gather volunteers for the team. So we have five groups of volunteers. Group one is me and Yukari, the second group is Noriko and Akebi, third group is Riko and Takako, fourth group is Azusa and Aya and Fifth group is Nekota and Momoga. The Moral committee agreed to be the first aid group and the Automotive club volunteered to be the repair group." Miho told Momo who is going into what group respectively. Momo nodded.

"Good work Miho. Ami is on her way and we have the guns out for the five groups that will be volunteering. We need to figure out who is going to do the shooting and who is going to do the driving." Momo told Miho about what was bound to happen next. Then a cargo plane landed down right in front of them. The girls knew that this meant that Ami was here and she brought the equipment that they were going to need. "Speak of the devil." The door hatches opened as six machines were driven down from the cargo hatch and into the fluffy white snow. Ami came out on the last one as she was more than excited.

"Greetings students of Ooarai." Ami greeted them in a cheerful manner. Miho nodded and walked up to them to see what was going on.

"Oh Ami, I didn't know you were a talented driver." Miho began. Ami took off her helmet and continued to speak.

"Well I'm not compared to a tank, this is still pretty new for me." Ami replied. "How is your sister doing?" Ami asked Miho about her older sister specifically.

"She's doing fine though she's bummed out about not participating in Sensha-Do." Miho replied. Ami nodded with a smile.

"Maho has told me that Momo has established a new sport and she wants in." Ami told Miho about what was going on with the other schools. News was beginning to spread.

"Nice, we'll have some competition." Miho smiled with approval. Ami nodded.

"Yep though Kuromorimine is still gathering volunteers and we're still in the process of delivering the snowmobiles and the helmets." Ami told them. Momo was shocked when she heard the word.

"Helmets? What makes you think I'm going to put my head into something like that?" Momo asked as she was slightly irritated by the fact that she needed to put her head into a helmet.

"It's recommended that all students put their heads in helmets for their own safety." Ami replied. Miho nodded with approval.

"I'm glad that you're looking out for us." Miho told Ami. "When do you expect that we'll be getting ours?" Miho asked.

"When we make the winter Sensha-Do uniforms. They'll be measuring taking place later today and they need your head size as well." Ami told Miho that they needed to take a measurement of their heads.

"Okay that's nice." Miho replied.

"Now we have our groups established. We need to figure out who's going to drive and who's going to shoot." Ami decided to lay out who was going to be doing what.

"I'm going to shoot, don't mind me." Yukari told Ami as she walked forward. Miho knew that Yukari wanted to do the fun part and get all close to the enemy.

"Well I'm up for driving then." Miho told Ami. She walked forward and stood at the opposite end of Ami, they were being split into two groups.

"Okay Miho's group are going to be the drivers and Yukari's group are going to be the shooters." Ami decided to establish that. "Who's next?" She asked the rest of the volunteers.

"I'll do the shooting." Akebi told Noriko. Noriko nodded as she was now off doing the driving.

"Sharp shooting?" Takako asked Riko. Riko nodded her head no.

"You're taller than me, I don't want to be an inconvenience looking over you while you drive." Riko replied. Riko went over to the drivers as Takako went over to the gunner.

"We'll I'm off for some shooting." Azusa told Aya. she scurried her way over to the sharpshooter's side. Aya sighed as she walked over to the driver's side. Nekota and Momoga were the last ones to decide their roles.

"You have the experience of driving these snowmobiles, you drive." Momoga told Nekota that she should be driving.

"You drive the Chi-Nu better than me so you drive." Nekota told her friend. "Plus you're shorter so I don't want to be a hindrance to you."

"Want to flip a coin?" Momoga asked. Nekota nodded. "I call heads, if it lands on heads, you're driving." Momoga tossed the coin into the air and within moments it landed. Momoga picked up the coin.

"It landed on tails so you're driving." Nekota told her friend. She patted her on the head so they went to their respected groups. Yuzu and Momo were looking on as they were excited.

"Wow we actually have a reserve of students for once as these machines only take two riders." Yuzu told Momo that she was excited to have extras to interchange in case something went wrong.

"Of twelve." Momo replied. Yuzu looked at Momo.

"At least twelve is better than nothing." Yuzu was a bit annoyed with Momo as she finally had a reserve of students she wanted. Momo looked at her funny. Ami nodded as she knew enough was enough.

"Okay I don't want you girls to start fights so we can actually get to the good stuff." Ami began. "Yukari, Takako, Akebi, Aya and Nekota, you five come with me." Ami instructed them. She lead them out to the table where all the guns they got from yesterday were stored up. "You each get a full weapon and a secondary of your choice." Azusa walked up first and grabbed the Auto 5 shotgun as her first pick and the TT-33 as her secondary.

"I got what I wanted." Azusa told the others. She went back into line after slinging the shotgun over her back. Yukari went up next and took the M/21 LMG and a P08 Luger. Nekota went up next and grabbed the Grease Gun and the M1895 Nagant revolver. Akebi walked up next and took the Enfield Pattern 14 and an M1911, Takako went up last and took the M1 Garand and an M1911.

"Okay you girls happy with your choices?" Ami asked if they were more than willing to stick to the guns they wanted.

"Yes we are." Azusa told Ami. Ami nodded and she turned to the drivers who were standing in the way.

"Okay we have five handguns left over. This will be your backup or you want to get a sneaky elimination on a weakened opponent. Take whichever handgun you feel pleased with." Ami instructed. Aya went up first, grabbing the Webley revolver. Miho went up next and picked up a TT-33, Noriko was up and she grabbed an M1911, Riko walked up and took the P08 Luger, Momoga was last as she took the M1911 as it was the only thing that was left.

"You're happy with the choices you've made?" Ami would ask the drivers.

"Yes ma'am." They responded. Ami nodded as they could get onto the exciting part. Learning how to fire and aim the guns.

"Good, follow me." Ami instructed. The girls walked outward as they were going to begin their training.

Yukari, Akebi, Takako, Azusa and Nekota made their way to the range as they were going to be taught how to fire their new weapons.

"Now the key of the sport is to eliminate the enemies' balloons before they could eliminate yours but the question is, how do you accomplish such a task? Simple, you fire the guns you have." Ami began. She began passing out the magazines of ammo to the girls except for Azusa who was armed with shotgun shells. "Now load up your guns." The five girls loaded up their weapons as Akebi injected a stripper clip and Azusa loaded the shells in. "Now the targets of today are these empty cans that we have laying around, imagine if they are the enemy."

Akebi was the first to fire, she nailed the can in the center, the can fell over as the rest of the girls fired their guns, Yukari went prone and aimed down her sights as she felt like she could be more accurate, they all fired one or two rounds at a time and took pauses to adjust their range. Azusa fired the Auto 5 multiple times in rapid succession, taking out five cans with fast shots while aiming down her sights. She took the time to reload all the shells while the others kept firing sporadically and reloading every few shots. Ami looked at Azusa who knocked down all the cans at once.

"Wow I've never seen you fire and take out the cans in quick succession. I think you can serve as something special." Ami told Azusa as she was impressed.

"Thank you, I have five more shells loaded up and ready to go." Azusa responded. Ami smiled as they knocked down the last of the cans.

"Awesome. I think your shooting can be a lot better, but there is room for improvement. Nekota, you said you had driving experience with these machines?" Ami asked her. Nekota looked up from the Grease Gun's iron sights.

"A bit. I haven't driven one in years so I'll try my best." Nekota told Ami. She walked over to one of the Snowmobiles and began studying it. She then hopped on one to see which was which. She grabbed the right lever and pushed on it, the snowmobile began rolling forward. She released the gas and it came to a stop. She pushed the left lever as it was the brakes. Then she pulled out the safety which caused the snowmobile to stop altogether. Now she was getting the hang of it once again as she placed the safety back on. She then walked over to the drivers.

"Okay I sense the shooters have got the hang of it, now let's see if the drivers could test out their skills." Nekota began. She walked over to her machine and began instructing them. "The right lever is to accelerate, the left lever is to stop. The red button cuts all power off to the engine so don't push it. Always have your safety strap on so when you disconnect, it cuts the power off to the engine all together. Anyone need me to go over it again or are we good?" She was waiting for the others to raise their hands. "Yes Aya?"

"Since we're using our right hands on the gas, does it mean we have to shoot with our left hand?" Aya asked.

"Yes, yes it does." Nekota responded. Ami walked over and she began to speak, taking over for Nekota.

"Attach the safety straps to your jacket and no speed above twenty as you're still so new to this. I don't want you to drive at reckless speeds and get into an accident." Ami told the crowd. "Midiriko, you will be participating as well as the first aid group also needs to drive." Ami told one of the girls of Mallard team that they needed driving practice as well.

"I'll drive to the best of my ability. I was listening to what Nekota was saying." Midoriko responded. The six girls made their way to the snowmobiles and hopped on. They were going to take a practice drive around the ring that the rest of Rabbit team and Leopon team had dug out since this morning. The track wasn't that big but it was moreover designed to get the girls used to the bearings of the new machines. They then boarded and began driving their machines up to the starting range. Nekota looked on with Momo and Ami as the latter began explaining what was going to happen.

"Okay so this track is designed for practice, there are three targets each with five balloons, you're only allowed to pop your color designated balloon." Ami began. The rest of the students were attaching the safety keys to their jackets so in case something did go wrong, the safety would pop out and the snowmobile would stop completely. Each balloon was colored according to each of the drivers. Noriko's was red, Miho's was Blue, Aya's was Yellow, Riko's was white and Momoga's was pink. "Remember this isn't a race, we don't want accidents on the first day. Now let's see how well you would be driving. Go." Ami told them to not go too fast as they were still beginners. Miho and Aya went first followed by the others, they were driving at a slow speed as they wanted to be safe. Aya whipped out her Webley and fired it on the yellow balloon, popping that first with Miho whipping out her handgun and firing next, she popped her color designated balloon, the others followed along and fired on the move. Ami observed as she began clapping.

"Very nice work they're doing so far." Nekota told Ami she was impressed with how well they were driving.

"Yeah I'm making them go slow as they don't have helmets on. We will get them helmets in the future when we measure their heads." Ami was fully aware of the fact that the students didn't have helmets thus she was having them go slowly to avoid any accidents. Nekota looked on as Aya was the first to finish and she came around to the end of the finish line. Miho followed up next along with the others. Momoga popped her last balloon and she drove up to the finish line. "Well done. The driving could use some work but an excellent first drive around." Ami finished clapping as she knew that they needed to do something else. She turned and whispered into Nekota's ear.

"Oh good idea, just have them keep going slow, we're probably going to need their head size for the helmets." Ami responded. The girls then came up as Ami looked at the sharpshooters as she had new orders for them. "Get on with your partner, we're going to have a bit of a match." Ami was doing this practice match just to gauge their skills against each other with the rules that Momo had put into place. The others nodded and they began to head to their partner's snowmobile and mounted on them. The first practice match was going to begin.

Miho was driving slowly with Yukari as three blue balloons were tied to strings and were riding on the rear of the snowmobile. The colors they had shot at earlier were their color code for what they were looking for.

"So we need to look for Cherry, Strawberry, Banana and Pineapple?" Yukari asked. Miho looked at her friend as if she was correct.

"So you labeled them by fruit and not by color. Are you sure you're chewing Dubble Bubble bubblegum balls?" Miho asked. Yukari looked at her.

"No." Yukari responded. She blew a bubble out as the blue colored gum came up before the bubble popped. Yukari then took the bubblegum back into her mouth and continued chewing. Miho stopped the snowmobile before she turned to Yukari. She had caught her friend red handed.

"Spit." Miho calmly told her friend. Yukari then spat the gum out into Miho's hand as she inspected it. "Blueberry huh, I think you popped one into your mouth for enjoyment. But we shouldn't be chewing as that might draw the enemy to us."

"Well we do have the tracker wristbands so if any of us get hurt or the balloons are shot it can be signaled back to Momo." Yukari told Miho. Little did they know that being idle was going to make them a target to Noriko and Akebi as they were sneaking up on them. They stopped as Akebi turned.

"Well they're distracted, let's see if I can get the first shot." Akebi told Noriko. Noriko nodded as Akebi lined the Enfield pattern 14 to her right eye and fired. Pop! Miho turned as Akebi had popped their first balloon.

"Contact!" Yukari shouted. She fired her M/21 BAR at the direction that Noriko and Akebi were at. Akebi cycled the bolt when two of their balloons popped in return.

"Drive away!" Akebi shouted. Noriko revved the engine before driving away on the dime. Yukari reloaded as Miho spotted that they were down on their last balloon before they were making a break for it.

"They're getting away, let's go after them." Yukari told Miho. Miho just nodded before she began to drive away. She hoped to get them out while they were on the run. Miho chased them down as Akebi fired blindly behind her in an attempt to pop another balloon with her handgun. Miho tried her best to evade while getting closer to them. She finally caught up and took out her pistol. She fired twice before popping the last balloon that Duck team had. Noriko and Akebi's team were out for the match.

"That's the first one. Let's see if we can find the rest." Miho tucked her pistol away into her pocket before she drove off. Akebi watched as they drove away.

"Well at least I got one." Akebi told Noriko. Noriko wasn't pleased with her.

Miho spotted Hippo team and Anteater team had teamed up for the time being as they were being chased down by Rabbit team with Azusa pulling out the shotgun.

"Hey there's the rest of them. Let's see if we can drive alongside and fire at them." Miho told Yukari, then they drove closer to the group as Azusa was under intense fire from Nekota and Takako.

"Man I wasn't expecting to be fighting them both at the same time. But hey they're running from us." Azusa told Aya. Aya nodded before she whipped out the Webley and fired a second shot, popping another balloon from Hippo team. Hippo team was down to one left.

"Faster Riko faster." Takako called out. She fired the M1 Garand at Rabbit team to no such luck.

"We can't, we don't have helmets." Riko told her friend. Azusa looked at her friend as she was ready.

"Well time for them to feel some gnawing from a flemish giant." Azusa told the group. She had the Auto 5 out which would be devastating to the enemy at close range. Azusa lined up her sights on Anteater team's balloons. Azusa fired three shots in rapid succession, knocking Anteater team out rapidly. The second team was down as Momoga pulled over with Nekota.

"Well we tried." Momoga told her friend. Nekota just nodded as there were still three teams left. Hippo team was going to take on Anglerfish team thinking they were going to be easier to take out and hopefully bait Rabbit team into a trap. Miho slowed to a stop as Yukari got off to begin firing on Hippo team's one balloon. Aya decided to take a different approach instead of following Hippo team straight into the trap.

"Where are you going?" Azusa asked Aya. She wasn't sure what kind of trick she had in mind.

"We're going somewhere different to claim victory." Aya responded. She was bringing them right behind Miho and Yukari as they had stopped to trap Hippo team. Riko and Takako rounded the corner before Yukari began opening fire on them. Takako tried firing back but Yukari was a moment ahead of her, popping Hippo team's last balloon.

"So is that it?" Yukari asked.

"Well I'm not sure, we spotted Rabbit team but we don't know where they have gone off to." Miho replied. What they didn't know was the fact that they were right behind them. Azusa climbed off of the snowmobile and fired the last two shots at Anglerfish team that were sitting there idly. Within moments, they heard two loud pops and they looked behind them. They had been knocked out as Rabbit team stood there, with their three yellow balloons still intact.

"They were right behind us?" Yukari asked with disbelief. They must have flanked around.

"Yeah I think you've sat there giving us the opportunity to finish you off." Aya responded. She got off of her snowmobile before crumbling down into the snow.

"Are you alright?" Azusa asked her friend.

"I think I banged my knee." Aya responded as her knee cap was bruised from something that Miho and Yukari weren't aware of. Within moments, the Morals committee had arrived carrying the first aid equipment while detaching the safety key from Aya's jacket.

"Tell me where it hurts." Midoriko asked. She pulled out an ace bandage and some ice to help the patient.

"I wish I was playing with you but I banged my knee." Aya responded. She showed them the bruise that she acquired from the sport. Midoriko placed the ice on the bruised knee cap before she began wrapping the ace bandage around it tightly.

"We'll get you back, just don't panic." Midoriko told her as they helped Aya back to her feet. Momo and Ami were watching this as the former was amazed.

"Azusa and Aya won flawlessly and they actually have it in them." Momo began.

"Yeah they do. I wonder if these tactics you've learned could apply to Sensha-Do?" Ami asked Momo how their skills could be used to help them in the matches against the other schools.

"Good question, looks like we're going to have to take some notes during these next few weeks." Momo replied. She didn't have a definite answer but this would be great starting ground on making and tweaking new tactics they learn from this sport and apply it to the one they're currently doing.

"I just hope Aya's okay." Momo sighed as she watched her get taken away on a stretcher.

The blizzard-like snow returned later that evening and they managed to wrap up and clean up the field of play. Momo had gathered everyone back into the gym to see what their biggest strengths and weaknesses were as well as naming their snow craft.

"Azusa, Aya, you two managed to surprise me. Not only did you win with no strikes of your own but you managed to take out two teams. Duck and Anteater teams needed refinement as they didn't get the chance to fight back and neither did Hippo team. We can still practice although we need the Skidoo helmets as well as the craft we're using." Momo assessed the group on what their strengths were and what they needed to work on. "Maple High has agreed to a skirmish tomorrow at Noon so we're getting up early and measuring ourselves again for the winter uniforms but we need to designate new teams for ourselves."

"Can we name the snowmobile teams after our tanks?" Miho asked, she didn't want any changes as their former team names were fine.

"No. No. That'll be very obvious, we need new names for us." Momo replied. Aya was looking at her phone as her leg was still bandaged up. She then noticed something and she had an idea.

"Wait, is this fanfic named Gone to the Snow Girls? If it is, I have the best idea on how we should name ourselves. I'm going to name our snowmobiles, Shiloh, Shelby, Oakley, Memphis, Kira and Mallard team can be named Eleanor." Aya suggested. Momo smiled as she liked those names.

"Spot on Aya but the question is, if the first aid team is called Eleanor, who should be assigned the rest of the names?" Momo asked. This was something they were going to have to decide tomorrow. They got the practice of fighting among themselves down, now they needed to team up and fight another school.

[A/N]: A lot of stuff happens in this chapter, them testing their snowmobiles, them firing their designated weapons they chose and finally to round it all off, a practice match among themselves.

About the five remaining names, who should get what name? I would like to hear your suggestions. See you later.
