Chapter One:

Loki watched as the teenage Spider-Man (or as he called him fondly Spider-Boy or Spiderling) was being bodied by a few of his villains. He wasn't happy with that as the boy was going to have broken bones, bruises and possibly internal bleeding from the numerous times he was tossed and nearly impaled.

No, he wasn't happy with that at all and as he did a spell that would stop any internal injuries, the little Spider-Boy (or Spiderling depending on his mood) was going to have a very overprotective family if he had anything to say about it.

Slipping into the middle of the battle with some new villain, Loki himself used a spell that tossed the person off the roof and turned to the teen.

"Get home now and get checked out," Loki instructed the boy. "I have a feeling that you have quite a few injuries." Looking him over, he could see that the boy had some bruises on him as well as some other injuries.

The moment that the Spider-Boy was safely gone, Loki went over to the villain and made him disappear before teleporting away, going back to his apartment. His grin was wicked as he was going through a list of spells he could use on the little Spider-Boy and the only one he could find was quite…devious in a sense.

"This is the most devious of devious spells," he whispered as he looked around him. "How it hasn't happened in time memorial I'm surprised." The spell he was talking about was a simple yet complex spell itself.

The simple part of the spell is that it takes root in one person but the complex part of the spell is the one that is harder to get right-

It causes people to become paternal/maternal/almost family like to the person the spell is cast upon.

Here's where it gets tricky-depending on how many people are within the person's heart then they will be indefinitely affected. The person could have two people in their heart and everyone will end up in their space.

Rehearsing the spell in his head he went to the Spider-Boy while he was asleep and whispered the spell over the boy's sleeping form.

He had no idea what he just did.

Loki was watching in amusement as Bruce Banner was making the Spider-Boy breakfast while Tony was helping him with his homework. He could spy Natasha and Clint getting weapons ready to teach the boy how to use them.

He was chuckling as Thor was trying to use an iPad app to draw or design a weapon for the little Spiderling. He had to swallow his chuckle as Steve was tripping over his own feet as he went to get his breakfast.

"Bruce can you hurry up with the breakfast?" Happy asked Bruce. "It's almost time for Peter to go to school."

Bruce looked at the time and gave a few pancakes to Peter before giving him some money for lunch. Peter blinked at them and as he looked at his watch, he realized that he had thirty minutes until school starts.

"Thanks for the money and the pancakes Bruce," Peter said smiling at the doctor. "They're great."

Loki was smirking as he saw the doctor making chocolate chip pancakes, which he found to be hilarious.

Especially as he saw Tony taking plates of the pancakes, giving the plates to the three who were not eating.

Ned Leeds looked at MJ Watson who was curiously watching how Eugene Thompson-also known as-Flash-was apologizing to Peter who was warily accepting the apology that Flash was giving him.

Usually the three would try to ignore the popular jock but today he was just following them around like a puppy.

"What is going on?" Ned asked Peter as he went over to Peter's left side.

"The only thing I know is that everyone's been quite nice and it's freaking me out," Peter explained. "This morning Bruce made me pancakes and gave me money for lunch."

"So you're telling me Doctor Bruce Banner made you chocolate chip pancakes and gave you money?" MJ asked him in complete surprise. "What is going on?" Peter shrugged.

"I'm just as confused as you two," Peter said with a sigh. "I really am confused."

Loki was lounging on the couch and as he was watching the group flounder about, he began to laugh which caused Clint to try and shoot him with an arrow.

"How are you going to teach the little Spiderling if you can't hit me?" Loki drawled and Thor raised his hammer. "Have you wondered why you're all so protective of him?"

Tony eyed the god who was lounging and laughing at the moment.

"What did you do?" Steve asked coldly.

"I did a spell on the little Spiderling," he mused as he was stretching his arms over his head. "It makes everyone who is in his space protective of him. You are all basically parental towards him."

At once the Avengers were filled with fury before it calmed down. Thor was the first to react by punching him in the face while Natasha threw a few knives at him in her anger. Tony watched as Bruce was trying to calm down as no one wanted the 'big green one' to come out.

"How could you even do that?" Clint raged as he began to shoot him with arrows that Loki blocked easily.

Loki had just created shields to block the weapons that were being thrown at…though they couldn't save him from Thor who was punching him. Every punch that Thor gave him left a bruise and every time that Thor would pick him up a bruise in the form of a handprint around his throat and arms.

"The little Spiderling deserves some sort of protection…" Loki began. "However I didn't expect all of you to be this protective of him." He looked thoughtful. "I wonder how his enemies would react as well as his classmates."

They were all paling as they were thinking the same thing. Loki was smirking while looking beaten up.

"How many bullies does the little boy have?" Loki asked with a laugh. "How many of them will now be his friend?"

They realized that Peter's schoolmates who bullied him are going to be friendlier towards him.

Peter was hiding in a classroom, trying to get a hold of someone-anyone, really-as Flash was trying to catch him as well as tickle him.

The ringing on the other hand was nerve racking and made him think of a clock ticking until Happy answered it.

"Save me," Peter pleaded. "I am being chased-finally found sanctuary-by one of my class bullies."

"How do you want me to save you?" Happy asked.

"Bring me home," Peter whispered. "Have you been chased because people want to tickle you? It's not fun!"

"Kid you're on your own," Happy said and it sounded like he was yawning. "Sorry-I'm driving Tony to his workspace now."

The moment that Peter entered Avengers Tower the others were gearing up. Peter went to gear up as well but Tony and Steve stopped him.

It turned out that Tony was upgrading Steve's shield and making it able to have bullets not just bounce off it but fall to his feet.

"Come on guys," Peter said with a pout. "I can fight!" Even with the pout on his face that usually got him to help didn't work this time.

"After what Loki said what happened to you…nope," Steve said and Peter blinked. "You're not battling with us. Not this time kid, sorry."

"What do you mean?" Peter asked warily as he looked at Loki who was lounging and mimicking Hawkeye's outfit while keeping his helmet on.

"Loki you tell him while we deal with the mess," Tony told the god.

Peter was paling as he was sitting heavily on the couch, fear etched into his eyes. Loki sat across from him and was smirking.

"So you spelled me to have everyone be protective of me," Peter began. "Is there a way to undo this spell?"

"I can look it up for you," Loki began as he buffed his nails on his chest, "but why should I?" Peter glared.

"Since we're friends and you just ruined my life," Peter started, "you want to fix your mistake."

"I don't think I ruined your life kid," Loki said smirking as he stood up to get himself something to drink. "I think I made it better. Wouldn't your aunt want you protected and who better to protect you then the Avengers themselves?"

"What about my classmates?" Peter shouted. "I had to hide multiple times from Flash who wanted to tickle me! He usually hates me but suddenly he wants to tickle me? I hid in classrooms during lunch and ran to the next classes I needed before he could see me."

"Not my problem," Loki mused as he knocked back a drink. "You have some sort of protection from other school bullies at least."

"My life is ruined now," Peter groaned as he flopped on the couch as though he were in a theater class. "My life as we know it is ruined."

"Oh stop being a drama queen Spiderling," Loki chided. "Your life's not over. It's just gotten better in my opinion."

"Shows how much you know," Peter's voice was muffled. "You don't have teachers who give you praise and allow you to skip their class as they say they're going to be giving you straight As when your work is either an A- or B."

Loki blinked and looked thoughtful. Maybe he should rework the spell on the boy if his teachers were going to be doing that.

Before Peter could leave Loki used his magic to tickle the child, causing him to giggle, squirm and escape-or try to escape.

As the boy was sleeping Loki teleported into the room and placed a hand on his head while holding a spell book in his other hand.

Whispering the reworded spell, he was hoping that certain individuals (namely the teachers) wouldn't act like how they did the day before.

As Peter entered the school the next day with MJ on his left and Ned on his right he felt slightly wary as Flash appeared in front of him.

He wanted to hide but he couldn't, as Flash would possibly find him.

"How's my favorite friend doing today?" Flash tried to smile at him but it looked more like a sneer when he saw MJ and Ned.

"Your favorite friend will like to get to class," Peter said as he sidestepped him. "I can't be late for this class!"

MJ barely spared Flash a glance, as she was on Peter's arm, helping him get to the class while Ned was on his phone.

"Is that true that you can't be late to this class?" MJ asked and Peter nodded.

"I just can't be late if I want a good grade in Calculus," Peter said. "Tony and Bruce all but made me sign documents that said that I cannot be late to classes revolving around math and science or else I don't have a super cool internship with them."

MJ winced and Ned gulped thickly.

"That's harsh dude," Ned said sympathetically. "Really harsh. You love the internship."

"I know so I need to do my best with the math and science classes," Peter said. "I need to study harder than ever for them or no more internship."

Natasha looked at the weapons in her hands before turning her head to Steve who just appeared.

"Did you want to spar against me?" She asked. "I'll go easy on you grandpa." She chuckled at his glower at the 'grandpa' bit.

"Come on and let's battle," he said as he flexed his hands when Loki appeared in between them. "Or not." He eyed the god who was holding a book in his hand. "What have you done this time?"

"I may have fixed the Spiderling's school problem but that's it," Loki sighed. "His teachers won't just be giving him straight As for no reason but everything else that has happened-such as everyone wanting to protect him and such-still is happening."

Steve ended up punching him. The god ended up taking a few steps back and blinked. He could have stopped it but he was surprised about it.

"I half thought you would be happy to know that not everyone wants to make sure that the Spiderling is truly protected," Loki snapped and turned to Natasha. "If his teachers were willing to let him skip class and give him straight As what would you have done?" She sighed. "I didn't think the spell would do that so I had to rework the spell. It's not affecting the teachers."

"Well that's good," Natasha sighed, as he was right. "Very good."

Peter wasn't sure why he decided to hide in the advance chemistry class when his cellphone went off. Looking at the caller ID and seeing his Aunt May's face he answered it as well as put it on speakerphone.

"Hey Aunt May," he said smiling as he managed to get some of his homework done. "What's going on?"

"You know that Happy and I have another date tonight," his aunt's voice was calm over the phone, "so tonight you're going to be staying at Stark Towers so be on your best behavior."

"I always am," he promised. "I swear."

"Your friend Loki said that you had some horrible injuries some days ago so don't go out into the field or else."

He sighed and mentally wanted to kill Loki for talking to Aunt May.

"They wouldn't let me last night so I did all my work and had it checked over by everyone," he was letting out a breath. "I think the same thing is going to happen tonight so you don't need to worry."

"Good." The joy in her voice when she said 'good' made him wince as he wanted to contribute to the team.

Peter was sitting in his room in Stark Tower again since he couldn't go out into the field for the second time (he was certain that his aunt was the reason) when the door opened to reveal a wounded Clint.

"Do you have any peroxide or something?" He asked as he looked at the en suite bathroom with the door open.

"Under the bathroom sink as well as some gauze," Peter told him. "Do you want me to-" Clint shook his head.

"All of us are injured at the moment," he winced. "We all have some horrible injury or something close to it."

He got off his bed and raced into the bathroom to get the hydrogen peroxide and the gauze. Returning to Clint's side he handed him the gauze and the hydrogen peroxide.

"I can help with the healing," he said with a nod. "If I can't help with the battling then at least allow me to help with the wounds you all got."

Clint sighed and nodded.

"Come on kid," Clint grumbled. "We can put your healer tendencies to good use." Leading him out of the room Peter saw that quite a few of them were bloody and Peter went to work.

He had hand towels that he drenched in water and with a bottle of hydrogen peroxide he gently added a little bit of it to their wounds, cleaned them up and wrapped them.

"How did you all get this injured and where's Loki?" Tony shrugged.

"I have no idea," Tony grumbled when Loki appeared. "Where were you?"

"Having a meeting with some friends," Loki huffed. "Now what happened here?"

As Peter slept he had no idea that Loki was researching the spell-seeing if there was a way to reverse it. His eyes were scanning the words, the fine prints and everything else when he stopped and blinked.

"Now this is an interesting clause," he mused. "This has to be one of the most interesting clauses I've ever read." He was now chuckling as he read it again.

There is no way to undo this spell unless the person who cast the spell upon themselves is killed.

"I didn't spell myself so…it looks like little Spiderling will have to play drama queen."

This day as Peter entered the school-Ned was sick with a cold and MJ had a funeral for an aunt she had to go to, the boy was nervous walking inside. He was trying to be invisible but it didn't work as Flash found him.

"So where are the other two who follow you around?" He asked as he stood in front of him.

"Sick and a funeral," Peter said with a slight quiver in his throat. "But I can't be late otherwise Tony Stark and Doctor Bruce Banner will terminate my internship with them." The threat of being terminated and having his tech taken away was hanging over his head.

"Why don't you just go away Flashy boy?" Peter turned around to see the other popular jock Quentin Brown there. "I'll take him to his class." Grabbing the boy's arm, he led him to Calculus and he ruffled his hair. "I hope that your internship doesn't suffer if you fail."

Peter sighed. He had loved spreading the rumor that he was in an internship when the truth was that he was a superhero-he was, after all, Spider-Man.

"Are you good in Calculus?" Peter asked him and Quentin nodded. "I help you with science because you suck, you help me with math." Quentin grinned.

"Thanks Parker," Quentin said with a nod. "I really need the help with it."

"I should thank you as you helping me with math."
