Ch 3: Contemplation
Mr. Grinch was sat on the bed next to a cracked window; his slender, hairy, green legs limply crossed, a cigarette hanging from his fingers. The smoke half swirled out the window and half wandered towards the ceiling. and both frowned heavily upon smoking indoors, but was too worn from the days... *Events* to care. And Ms Ketchum... wasn't home?
*Where is she*, wondered. Suddenly he started to panic. He opened his mouth to silently express his worry, but the Grinch was quicker.
"Dont worry your handsome head. Ms. Ketchum has the strength of 1000 Gyarados. Whatever is keeping her is nothing to worry about," he exhaled a stream of menthol cigarette smoke, "I'm sure whatever is keeping her is nothing worth worrying your head over."
wasn't sure. Until yesterday, he would have believed that. Ms. Ketchum returned home late fairly often and he never thought much of it. But after learning that his lover has been spending the last... Who knows how long, making sweet, pokemalistic love to , he didn't know what to feel. Who knows what kind of Lucario could be machoking her right now.
The Grinch stretched his arm out towards , the last of his cigarette smoldering towards the end of his fingers. stared blankly at the smoke dispersing into the room.
"Don't just sit there," demanded the Grinch, and caught on.
Mime took the dying cigarette from the mossy hand. The Grinch turned his back away, and , though nervous and unsure, put it out on the grinche's shoulder.
"Euhhghhggghhhh,' the Grinch groaned, his hairy pickle becoming plump." told me you were a worrier. Perhaps I can ease your troubled ."
A slim green asparagus finger slid up slender thigh and teased his pokeballs. Mimes mind replayed the days events: a rotting lickitung. Droopy testacruels. Suffocating, sweaty miltanks bouncing amongst his face.
Suddenly, heard the front door open. And the grinch? He suddenly wasn't there. Mime covered up and made his way into the Hall.
"Hello, mimey," said, "I'm sorry I'm so late, but my son called!'
And sure enough, Ash Ketchum followed in behind her, "heya, !"
"Anyway, go unpack and get to sleep, Ash. It's so nice to have you home!," exclaimed, "we'll see you in the morning."
