Roy and Riza had arrived in Ishval, walking along a large bridge.

"Riza." Roy asked.

"Yes, Roy?" Riza asked.

"I wonder if that Xin Xaibao character is." Roy said.

"Hopefully he's long gone by now." Riza said. "Scar is waiting across the bridge." After Roy and Riza crossed the bridge, they saw Scar in his royal Ishvalan white robes with his daughter, Princess Adya. Adya was seen with brown Ishvalan skin, grey hair in a ponytail, and red eyes. She wore white robes with purple trim and a white tiara with amethyst jewels.

"Hello, Mustang." Scar said.

"Scar, you haven't changed a bit, aside from becoming the king of Ishval." Roy said.

"Roy, this is my daughter, Adya." Scar said.

"Then who was the mother?" Riza asked.

"A beautiful woman who I met after the Amestrian occupation ended. She is watching the throne while I am away."

"That's good." Roy said.

"Listen, I have an assignment for you." The Princess told Roy.

"What is it?" Roy asked.

"There is a notorious gang known as the Jaeger Brothers who own a ranch along the mountains. They are meeting with the Lightning's soldiers in the ranch."

"So I have got to break up that deal?" Roy asked.

"Exactly." The Princess said. "Go!" Roy and Riza went to the ranch to break up the deal.

When they arrived at the ranch, there were some men in white suits and black shirts that were meeting with the Lightning's Amestrian soldiers. Roy and Riza approached the soldiers quietly.

"Don't shoot until I give the signal." Roy whispered. Riza aimed her pistol at the grey coats.

"NOW!" Roy shouted. Riza shot at the soldier, killing him. The other soldiers as well as the Jaeger Brothers started firing at Roy and Riza. Roy used his Flame Alchemy to roast the Jaeger Brothers, but he burned the entire orchard. Riza took care of the rest of the soldiers.

"Well now, I see the Flame Alchemist is on the move." Xin Xaibao said as he appeared. He used his alkahestry to pin Roy down to the soil.

"Never more shall you use your destructive power again, because this is what alchemists are capable of!" He forced Roy to destroy his gate, as a blue light lit up on Xin's gauntlet.

"Two down, three to go." Xin said. "I better head back to Xing so I can kill two birds with one stone!" He laughed maniacally and ran away.

"Roy, are you ok?" Riza cried, comforting Roy.

"I am fine." Roy said. I cannot transmute anymore, but I will find a way around it."

"Let's just hope Al and Mei are safe." Riza said.

"They should be." Roy said. "Xing is a powerful nation, so they should be heavily guarded." Roy and Riza carried on back to see the Princess. When they got to see Adya, Roy had some unsettling news to bring.

"Did you break up the deal?" Anya said.

"Yes." Roy answered. "But I lost my alchemy in the process."

"That's terrible!" Anya said. "If the Lightning wants Ishval, he's going to fight long and hard to take it from us, because we're not holding back!" The flag of Ishval, a golden sun and crossed swords on a white field was flying in the Ishvalan base across the bridge where they reencountered Scar.
