Al and Mei were out at a ski resort in Xing, ready to go on a skiing date together. They went to the ski rental shop, knocking on the door.
"Prince Al, it's an honor to meet you." The attendant said.
"Thanks." Alphonse said. "What happened to the snow?"
"The snow will not come." The man said.
"But why?" Mei cried in her soft squeaky voice.
"The Dragon Lady has left a curse on this land." The man said. "Her forces burned down all the snow and destroyed the Arctic Core in this town so that there is eternal summer." The man explained. "Oyashima overrun this village and has claimed it as the first Oyashiman Colony in Xing." Al saw the Oyashiman flag, a yellow lotus seal on a black background flying over the town hall, as well as the Oyashiman soldiers in dark blue uniforms were marching in formation and some were just mingling with each other.
"There has to be a way to create a new Arctic Core!" Al said.
"I am afraid there is not." The man said. Creating an Arctic Core requires a Boreas Crystal, which can only be found atop the ColdHill Mountain."
"Where is that?" Mei asked. The man pointed to the mountain, a mountain so tall and steep it was only accessible by chairlifts. Al and Mei went on the chairlift to the mountain, and found a cave right up top.
"This must be where the Boreas Crystals are." Mei said. She led Alphonse into the cave, only to find it guarded by a big polar bear dog.
"Who goes there?" The dog said.
"A chimera that understands human speech?" Alphonse asked. "What the actual fuck?"
"I once was a loyal Oyashiman soldier, but I was ordered to kill innocent Xingese women and children, so I refused." The dog said. "As punishment I was fused together with a polar bear and a dog to make myself this unholy abomination that I am now."
"Maybe I can use Xingese Alkahestry to separate you." Mei requested.
"Nothing can save me now." The dog said. "I was forced to guard the Boreas Crystals to keep someone from creating an Arctic Core, but my job is too boring." The dog cried. "All I want to do is die."
"We need those crystals to make a new Arctic Core, so we will take one." Mei said.
"Where was the Arctic Core stored?" Al asked.
"In the Oda Laboratory south of here." The dog answered. "Use your alkahestry, it will come in handy." The polar bear dog sighed as Al and Mei left to continue to the lab. When they got to the lab, it was overrun by Oyashiman soldiers.
"Princess Mei, take this!" An Oyashiman sniper shouted, shooting at Mei. It hit her as she dropped the crystal. Al picked up the crystal and made a shield with alchemy. He fired shots from the shield by growing cannon turrets from the shield, taking out the soldiers.
"Mei, are you all right?" Al said. He healed Mei's wound with alchemy.
"Never better." Mei said. "The Arctic Core Generator should be on the bottom floor." Al and Mei went down to the basement floor and saw the Arctic Core Generator, looking empty. Mei was using her alkahestry to make the new Arctic Core. When more Oyashimans arrived, Mei threw the core into the generator, creating a new age of white winter pleasure. Al and Mei were successful in restoring winter, but they had other problems on their hands. Xin Xaibao was with a squad of Oyashiman soldiers, greeting them as they just got out the door.
"You're not going anywhere." Xin said.
"Teaming up with the enemies of your own people?" Alphonse questioned. "That's low, even for you."
"We'll see about that." Xin had cornered Al and Mei. The soldiers pinned them down with their swords, aiding Xin in forcing Al and Mei to commit human transmutation. Al and Mei's gates were removed, as a yellow light and a pink light lit up on Xin's gauntlet.
"Only one more to go, and the Lightninggeddon will be unleashed!" Xin said. "Lord Lightning will be proud."
Meanwhile, The Lightning appeared at the ColdHill Cave with Xin Xaibao.
"Here are four of the five sacrifices needed to resurrect the Lightninggeddon." Xin said. He handed the gauntlet to the Lightning.
"Your services are no longer required, Xin." The Lightning said. "I will find the last one myself." Lightning drew his Lightning Blade and impaled Xin, killing him. He stabbed the chimera, killing it too.
"Useless Chimera." The Lightning said. "Always created just to be killed. What a waste." The Lightning went on his search for the final sacrifice.
