Danny woke up the next morning when the students from the night before came flying into his room and startled him. Rubbing his eyes, he tried to suppress the torrent of ghostly swears that came flying to his mouth.

"Wassup?" he asked, cracking an eye open and seeing that all three of the students he had seen the day before were there. The one nearest him shrugged and replied, "Just thought we'd give you a Hogwarts welcome, that's all."

'Hogwarts welcome?' Danny thought, but said out loud, "And by that, you mean startling me and nearly causing me to use one of my parent's weapons?"

"Well, not like that." the red head said, backing away as Danny got up out of bed and stretched. Harry grinned and rolled his eyes at his friend and turned back to Danny, saying, "We just thought we'd take you to the Great Hall and show you around. If that's alright."

Before the boys could drag their friend out, she lifted an eyebrow and said, "Nothing made by muggles would work at Hogwarts. Electricity doesn't work here."

"Hermione," the first one, the raven-haired boy, began, before Danny interrupted him and said, "My parents work with Ectoplasm. So they'll have to work. If not, then it's out with something else."

"What do you mean by that?" Hermione asked, but instead of answering, Danny tapped his nose and said, "Can I get dressed now? Or are you going to watch me?"

Blushing, Hermione stuttered out an apology and left the room, leaving the boys alone. Looking at Danny as he snorted, the one who had gotten him out of bed cocked an eyebrow as Danny bit his lip and shook his head, saying, "Sorry. It's nothing to do with your friend asking what my parents had to do with the weapons. It's just she reminded me of my sister doing just that."

"Your sister's a know-it-all as well? My names Ron by the way and this is Harry." the red-head, Ron, asked, smirking at the silent nod from Danny as he dug out his jeans and popped into the bathroom, saying to the two behind him, "Psychologist wannabe." and shut the door.

Turning to his friend, Ron raised an eyebrow in question, as Harry rolled his eyes and said, "By the sounds of it, Danny's got a sister who wants to become a psychologist. And his parents built the weapons that he's brought?"

"And she's annoying but cool" Danny's voice came as they looked round and saw that he was dressed and leaning on the doorframe, smirking and arms crossed over his chest.

"I'm sorry. I have a sister too, so I know what it's like." Ron said, looking at the bag as Danny picked it up and put it on. Waving his hand, Danny said, "It's not all that bad. Besides, we have our moments. Like yesterday for instance."

"What happened yesterday?" Harry asked, looking at the boy as he shook his head and said, "Let's just say that my scientist parents are forgetful and leave it at that? Wasn't even their fault for what happened anyway, but it was their experiment that got mistook for proper milk."

The mention of weird milk had Harry and Ron blanching and looking at the ghost hunter as he turned back to them and shrugging as he said, "My fault really. I didn't look at the milk's color."

"How can your parents do that to milk?" Harry asked, looking disgusted as Danny shrugged and said, "Dunno. They do alot of things to food, like bringing it back to life. Like the Turkey for Thanksgiving three years ago now. Then there's the wieners that attack whenever my dad's been experimenting. He's the only one who'll eat ectoplasm-infused food. The rest of us fight it, my dad eats it."

"What happened?" Hermione asked, coming up to them as they emerged from the stairs. She had been sitting and working on her holiday work. Danny smiled in remembrance and said, "Someone had left the window open, and so the blasted thing escaped the house and ran down the street with all of the family chasing after it. People were looking out of their windows and watching that weird Fenton family running down the street, the RV careening round the corners and crashing into parked cars. I didn't hear the end of it at school for a month."

"Who was driving the what-d'you-ma-callit?" Ron asked, Danny shaking his head, still smiling, and replying, "My father. Only he can crash into parked cars when hunting or on patrol. And it's RV. Or to give it the proper name, The Fenton Ghost Assault Vehicle. And you really don't know what a RV is?"

"How's he kept his license if he's a bad driver then?" Harry said, opening the portaithole and stepping out as the others did and Ron shook his head. 'Danny's name rings a bell' he thought as Danny shrugged and shook his head.

"No idea really." he answered, "Mom's more gentle, but when she's pissed, that's when people better watch out cos she gets mad and hunts Phantom when he's done nothing."

"Who's Phantom?" The three of them asked at the same time as Danny laughed and tapped his nose, saying, "You'll see him soon."

"Your name rings a bell somewhere, Danny. I just can't think where though." Hermione said, looking at him as he bit his lip and looked down at the carpet, shivering. A hiccup later and Danny was shooting his head up and looking around, as if on the lookout for something, or someone when The Bloody Baron came out through the wall and straight towards them. Seeing the ghost, Danny seemed to relax and went forward towards him, saying, "What's up, Baron?"

"Nothing is up." The Baron said, "Just checking on how you are coping."

"I'm actually doing great, thanks." Danny said, looking up at the ghost and rubbing the back of his neck as the Baron nodded and went on his way.

"We're still going to the Great Hall, aren't we?" Hermione piped up, coming forwards as the muggle looked about him and looked at her, smiling. Seeing that they were still there, he nodded and said, "Best lead the way then."

"That's the first time I've heard him speak since we came here. You must have some kind of influence to make him do that." Hermione said, looking at her friends as they looked at the muggle boy who shrugged and dug his hands in his pockets, saying, "Ghost's attack my town every day, it might be because of that."

"They can't attack a town. It's impossible." Ron exclaimed, looking at Danny as he sighed and muttered something in a completely different language and said out loud, "Then there must be more kinds of ghost's around, cos the one's that do attack us, they cause a lot of damage when they're fighting our town ghost."

"I still say it's impossible for there to be more than one type of ghost in the entire world." Ron said, shaking his head and looking at Harry as he looked to Hermione, who in turn looked at Danny, who turned pink and looked to his feet as he said, "Believe what you want. I know there's more than one type of ghost in the world."

By the time, they reached the Great Hall, at least three more of the Hogwarts ghost's had come and inquired as to how Danny was settling, Moaning Myrtle being one of them and Danny had spoken to them as if he knew them. Looking at Danny as he shrugged, they went through the doors and started moving towards the Gryffindor table Harry spotted the Defense against the Dark Arts professor, Delores Umbridge, at the Staff table and speaking with Dumbledore as Danny bit his lip and looked in the same direction as Harry and asked, "Who's the toad in pink?"

"That toad as you put it is the Defense Professor, Professor Umbridge, Danny." Harry said as they sat down near Neville, who immediately spotted the newcomer and came over to greet him.

"Morning Neville." Hermione greeted, smiling at the chubby teenager as he sat down and waved at them, turning to Harry and said, "The others want to know if we're doing a meeting tonight."

"We may as well do an assessment. We can bring Danny here with us." Ron said, looking at the muggle as he bit his lip and wondered what they were talking about. Harry shook his head and replied, "We want Peeves to be sorted out, not endanger Danny's life."

"Harry's right, Ron." Hermione and Neville said, looking at the redhead as his ears turned red, "Danny probably won't even know what we're saying."

"What do you mean by that?" Danny piped, crossing his arms and looking at them as they looked at each other, and Hermione sighed before saying, "What I mean is, you probably won't be able to understand us when we're casting spells. It's a lot to take in."

"Hermione, I live in Amity Park and with my ghost hunter parents. If I can handle their experiments, then I can handle a bunch of kids throwing bolts of light at each other. Kapeesh." Danny replied, leaning on the table as Hermione looked aghast at him and shut her mouth as Neville said, "It's not the lights you have to worry about. It'll be the spells that we cast, that you'll have to worry about and what they do. Sorry, my name's Neville by the way."

"Danny Fenton." Danny said, holding out his hand and smiling as Neville took it and shook his hand. HPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHPDPHP

"So how does Phantom come into this?" Harry asked, walking down the hallway with Hermione. They were on their way to the library, to get some research on the ghost they had seen the night before. Coughing as the Baron came floating by, Hermione watched him go by and as soon as the coast was clear, she answered, "Because, We haven't even heard of him and isn't it odd that Danny just happened to show up at the same time as Phantom?"

"It is odd, yeah. But, if the ghost's don't want to tell us how they know a teenager of their own kind, then they don't have to. Seems logical to me, 'Mione. Phantom could have just asked Danny to come with him when he came from where ever it is the ghost's live." Harry said, shivering as they approached their destination, "'Sides, I feel like there's something about Danny, he wouldn't say how he got here. Then there's that feeling of security whenever we're around him."

"You felt it too?" His friend asked, stepping through the doors and going over to their table and sitting down, whispering, "I felt it as soon as he stepped through the portrait hole last night. I'll get some books on ghosts and we can research ghosts."

"Fine then, but don't forget about the DA, 'Mione. We do have to plan for the meeting." Harry hissed, looking up as the librarian, Madam Pince, walked by and looked at them and walked away, muttering to herself as she went. Crossing her heart, Hermione went off to find some books on ghosts, leaving Harry to wait and grab a book from the shelf behind him, shivering as he did so.

Opening the book on a random page, Harry read the page as Hermione came back with three books in her arms and plonked them on the table beside them, saying, "These were all the books I could find on ghosts."

"Actually, I think I found another one, 'Mione. It was right there and just caught my eye." Harry said, staring at the books in front of them as Hermione stared at the page he had been reading, "Listen to this: 'The Ghost Zone. A vast dimension where the imprints of the dead and departed souls reside. Very few dare to enter this plane of existence. Believed to be ruled by a king, the Ghost Zone is home to many Muggle and Wizard ghosts, all of which live in their own little realms, also known as lairs, and every now and then a floating island. The inhabitants occasionally venture out into the Living Realm through natural portals and are sometimes seen to be frightening the Living as they go by. However, there are many different types of muggle ghost.' It doesn't say anything else about the Ghost Zone though, or anything about the ghosts."

"Ok, that's weird. But how did Danny get here? Phantom had to have come through this Ghost Zone place." Hermione said, leaning her head on her hands and looking down at the book in front of her and shutting it and looking up at her friend in front of her as he shrugged and said, "Maybe he was asked by the ghost's to come as some kind of support."

"Maybe. We can't be too sure." Hermione said, looking at the book in front of her and reopening it again, reading the page as Harry sat down again and began reading the book he had picked up.

Ok, I think that this is a good place to leave it, don't you?

Read, Review and Hey, I'll upgrade sometime in the next month or so. I got a lot on my plate at the moment, what with trying to find a job and all that. Also, with The Master and The Keeper, I didn't mean to put that chapter up, that was the one I was supposed to be rewriting. Sorry for everyone who thought it was a good chapter.

Anyway, Till next time then.
