"Where did you hear that term?"

'Damn, he can be scary when he's mad.' Harry thought as he saw his best friend since First Year pinned against the wall with a bunch of his robes in Danny's fist. Ron was staring into the haunted-looking eyes as he struggled to form words under the glare and eventually let a small whimper escape as Harry spoke for him, "We all heard it. During the fight, that box ghost bloke said something to Phantom and he cursed to Merlin's grave and back."

"Yeah, well, don't mention it again, okay? If he'd have heard that, he wouldn't like it." Danny answered, letting go of the robes and stepping back as Harry relaxed, having tensed up at the reaction from the ghost hunter. The other Gryffindors soon relaxed as well as Danny scowled slightly and looked at them all, saying, "I'm sorry for overreacting like that. It's just, my friends and I were Phantom's first supporters when he came out the first time. He's had a lot of prejudice since then and not all of the town likes him."

"I guess that means a lot then if someone says the word?" Harry asked as Ron walked back to them and straightened his robes out a little as the ghost hunter nodded silently and looked north into the dark corridor ahead.

"Actually, that word is hardly ever used in the Ghost World. Only the Ghost Zone Prison warden, Walker, is after Phantom then it's used. I seriously have no idea why Boxy would use it." Danny shrugged, looking back at the passageway so the group couldn't see his flashing eyes as he thought of the ghost who had tried to throw him and his escorts into the prison the first day that he had set out to try and sort Peeves out. It was taking a lot longer than he had expected. The poltergeist was using all the tricks that he knew of to try and stay out of sight.

"I suppose you know where we are, do you?" Ron whispered to Harry who shook his head as Danny bit his lip and looked at him as he said, "I've never seen it under the cloak or on the map. Could have been a passage that the Marauders didn't know about."

"We can ask when we next see them," Ron answered before he was nudged by Hermione as she pointed to a confused-looking Danny Fenton as he shook his head and turned around again, pretending not to have heard their little conversation. Not a second later and Danny was alert again and looking ahead, muttering under his breath, some of the words reaching their ears, such as, 'Clockwork', 'Test', 'Sam...this', 'Jazz' and the tip being 'FentonSmoker'.

"You okay, Danny?" Colins voice piped as they all saw him pulling something out and point it in front of his chest. Looking back, he looked to have faintly glowing green eyes and when he blinked, the glow was gone and he was nodding slightly before he answered, "Just thought I heard something up ahead. Come on, let's head back."

"You're the one who brought us here," Harry said, turning tail as they headed back the way they had come and soon saw the light of the Entrance Hall coming up on them.

"And I didn't know about it. It was just a random passageway."

Harry saw Hermione nod and walk slightly behind them all, a look telling him that it was back to the library again and soon.

TIME SKIP

Sure enough, the two-thirds of the Golden Trio found themselves back in the library and trying to find out what the word, Halfa, meant, and why their guest had done what he had done. So far hey had gotten nothing, and were getting tired. It was nearly curfew and Ron had refused to come with them to search for a reason.

Hermione looked up from the book she currently was reading and over to Harry as he sighed and shook his head, looking up at her and said, "There's nothing in the books about Halfas or why Danny would have reacted like that."

"You get the feeling that he's hiding something from us? And that it involves this Amity Park he spoke about?" Hermione asked, closing the book, much to the boy's surprise as he shrugged and said, "I'd say that I'd write home and ask Dudley, but they'd be a bit suspicious about it. Not to mention that I don't write home anyways, so they'd definitely be suspicious about the circumstances."

Hermione looked up at him as he said this and immediately raised an eyebrow as Harry stopped speaking and looked at her with his mouth half open, shutting it and staring at her as she crossed her arms and asked, "Why would you want to write home to your cousin? You don't talk about him or your aunt and uncle throughout the year, so why suddenly bring him up?"

"He likes comic books, and he has a computer in his bedroom. He might know what a Halfa is." Harry explained, looking down as Hermoine scrutinised her best friend and nodded, answering, "Write to him in the morning."

"Hermione, you're seriously suggesting that I bring Dudley into this?"

"He's a muggle, isn't he? He likes comic books, right? And you said that he has a computer. He may be able to help us. Besides, you brought him into this conversation." Hermione told him as they stood and went to put their books back, speaking quietly as they entered the nearly empty library, letting go of the books and watched them float off to their shelves. Looking back, Harry saw the book that he had seen before and went over to it, picking it up and dusting it slightly off, revealing the title, Ghostly book of Ghost's.

"Ghostly book of Ghost's?" Harry muttered, walking over to Hermione and tapping her on the shoulder as he held the book out for her to see. Looking around and seeing the book in front of her, she shrugged and whispered, "Never heard of it. Who's it by?"

"Doesn't say. You think that it may tell us about Halfa's?"

"None of the other books have. And we don't have the time to go over it, we've less than fifteen minutes to get back to Gryffindor Tower." Hermione answered, looking about the library as the other students packed up and started to leave. Looking down at his hands as a tingly feeling came through him, he saw that not only was there no book and his hands, he could see the floor through it. Gulping, he looked at Hermione as she gasped and stepped back, colliding into someone stood behind her and screaming out loud as she spun and drew her wand, pointing it at a very confused looking and battered Phantom as he stood back and held his hands out for them to see.

"Phantom? What are you doing here?" Hermione asked, watching the ghost as he looked over at Harry and narrowed his eyes, before saying, "Thought I sensed something while on patrol."

"I can't turn back to normal." Harry muttered, glaring down at the book as Phantom raised an eyebrow and chewed his lip as the ghost looked at him and snorted as he sighted the slightly glowing book and said, "Let go of the book and you'll return to tangibility."

Knitting his eyebrows together, Harry looked down and let the book go, the tingling feeling leaving him as soon as the book left his hand, falling to the floor and going straight through it as the two wizards watched, and looked back at Phantom, only to find that he was gone again.

And this is now finished, at last. Took a while, but I got there eventually. I am so sorry for those who thought that I wouldn't update. I've been busy as of late and had to put my stories onto the back burner.

Anyway, I should be able to think up a new chapter soon.

Until next time, Hermione Jean Burton xxx
