I am actually listening to John Dreamer's True Strength as I write this.
The next five minutes saw the Amity Parkers choosing the Houses as they heard what Gryffindor was like as well as hearing what the other Houses were like. The three students tried their best to tell the muggles what each of the four Houses were like, even going so far as leaving Harry to tell what Slytherin was like, while Danny made a face at the description of the Snake House, much to Hermione's confusion when he explained in a discreet manner. Whilst this was happening, Danny was talking to the other two and his friends about the accident that had made him a Half-Ghost-Human. Ron had seemed confused to what he meant by the Lab, until Tucker had kindly said, "The basement we'd been in before coming here."
Whispers broke out when Harry had finished explaining Slytherin's most prominent traits, causing the larger majority to huddle together as one, nerds and Jocks alike in one big circle as they chose which house to stay in. It was a sight that had the Fentons and their two best friends stunned into staring as Dash and Paulina chose Ravenclaw, the rest of the A-List doing the same. The rest seemed to agree as Danny looked at Harry and smirked, saying, "You must really hate Slytherin if Jocks, A-Listers and Nerds from a muggle town in America are coming together to choose where to stay."
"You have no idea." Harry replied, pulling a face as Hermione scoffed and added, "That's only because of the Rivalry between our two Houses. A rivalry that's been going on since the dawn of Hogwarts itself."
"We know about all this, 'Mione. We were there in Second Year, remember?" Ron sighed, rolling his eyes as some of the Nerds chose to stay in the House of the brainiacs, Ravenclaw, while others chose Hufflepuff as the house they would stay in. That left one girl out as she shook her head and chose to remain silent when Danny asked where she wanted to go. The dark-skinned girl crossed her arms when Harry went over to her and quietly asked where she preferred to stay, staying silent as Dumbledore clasped his hands in front of him, startling a flash of green out of Danny as he spun around, saying, "If you have chosen, my Heads of Houses will show you to your different Houses. Someone from the Kitchens will bring breakfast to your respective Houses when you have rested enough to face the rest of the students. Or if you would prefer to join us fr breakfast, I will ask a prefect from each house to show you around. Be mindful of our poltergeist, Peeves," At this, the unchosen girl looked sharply up and startled Harry into stepping back with a sharp glare, "He will stop at nothing to cause mayhem and chaos. Our ghosts are also very helpful and friendly if you have any questions. You may also find that your own Phantom has come here for the time being."
"So this is where he disappeared to." The girl piped up, Danny looking guiltily at her as she continued, "Everyone here thought that he had gone to the Ghost Zone to rest for the Easter Vacation. He never said where he was going, never even thought to tell the Red Huntress what he was doing."
"Val," Tucker started, 'Val' shaking her head when she added, "Don't, Tucker Foley. Ju-just don't give me any of this 'Phantom's good as any other person' nonsense. We all know he's a good-for-nothing ghost and will stay that way until he gets tired and goes back to where he came from."
"Is that what you think of Phantom?" Harry asked, startled at the reaction as the girl 'harrumphed' and refused to look at her peers and the adults, everyone else looking angered as Danny looked down and was pulled into his sister's side in comfort. Seizing his chance, Harry added, "Phantom has been nothing but a huge help to our school in getting Peeves somewhat under control again. We have even seen the other more shyer side to the muggle ghost, perhaps more than the rest of the school and he's actually a good guy to be around. What is it about him that you hate?"
Val scoffed and refused to say, instead turning away from the Wizard and walking forwards and towards the other ten that had chosen to go into Gryffindor, the rest of the group following the Heads of Houses to find where the Common Rooms were situated. That only left the Gryffindors and the Team Phantom alone with the braver teens as the door shut behind the last teen to go through. Looking at the raven-haired wizard, Jazz smiled softly and nodded in thanks when McGonagall cleared her throat and said, "I believe that you can show everyone where Gryffindor Tower is, you three. We can talk about your actions when you wake up later. I will have a word with your teachers later so they know that you won't be in classes."
Nodding and gulping, Hermione beckoned the rest of the group to follow her and her friends as they led the way out of the office and into the main school as Danny perked up and walked with his friends, chatting with Harry as he hung back. The rest of the group listened intently as they spoke about the map and what the Trio had seen.
"I thought it was just the power that the scroll had." Harry said, Danny rolling his eyes as he replied, "It was actually the Ghost Zone, Harry."
"He's got a point though, Danny." Jazz piped up, "The Ghost-"
"Don't go all psychologist, Jazz." Danny groaned, "You'll scare everyone."
"I do not go psychologist."
"You do too. Don't deny it, Jazz." Danny replied, smirking when she made to take a swipe at him and dodged her hand as she scowled. Ron laughed slightly as he watched the brother and sister make mock-glares at each other and nudged Harry as they started to walk through the halls. The paintings on the walls sleepily watched the group as they all walked past, giving the Amity Parkers a creepy feeling to the whole place, a feeling that had them all shivering when they walked past.
Time skip
"This place is amazing."
"You actually sleep here? COOL!" Harry smiled at the comments coming from the Americans as they looked around Gryffindor Common Room and looked at the three students as they stood to one side, Hermione actively speaking to Sam who seemed to have calmed down and was even nodding and replying as the goth smirked and shook her head before she said, "That's Boxy for you. Always trying to be the biggest baddest ghost when he's really just a nuisance."
"You actually fight him then?"
"We like to say it's more, 'misplaced aggression'. Or Danny does." Sam replied, laughing slightly when they gained a horrified look in their faces adding, "Oh don't worry, we don't do it all the time. It's usually a twist of the thermos as we carry on with our lives. It's just when he-"
"Shouts out his name for everyone to hear?" Harry asked, "We already encountered him. Caused quite the ruckus in the Great Hall as well."
Harry's words brought everyone's attention to them as Ron snorted, quickly looking down as Hermione rolled her eyes and clapped her hands in front of her, saying loudly, "I'm sure you're wanting to sleep now. Harry, Ron and I can show you where you'll be staying. So, if the girls could follow me and the boys can follow Harry and Ron."
"So, where're we gonna be staying? You'll have your own rooms to go to, won't you?"
"They're more dormitories than actual individual rooms." Ron smirked as the group of boys looked at him and shrugged as Danny rolled his eyes and walked up the dorm stairs in front of them, but not before giving Jazz and Sam a hug, the rest making 'Ooh'ing sounds, much to his disdain as he said, "Shut up!"
After that display, everyone went their separate ways, boys to the set of stairs Danny had gone up and the girls following Hermione as she beckoned them to come, talking to Jazz as they went. Catching up to the boy Wizards, Tucker saw that Harry was still holding onto his wand, albeit loosely and asked why.
"He's being paranoid." Ron replied, nudging his friends as he made to glare at the red-head, "The past four years haven't exactly been normal for us. In fact, none of our years have been normal, except for this one. So far."
"So far? Ron, we have a madman on the loose who now knows where Phantom lives. That same madman who knows Danny's weaknesses." Harry hissed as they came up to a door that Danny had left open for them to enter and stopped in front of it, Danny sitting on one of the six beds and just starting to clean some ectoplasm off one of the weapons he had brought with him. Beside him was a rattling and shouting thermos that was making it's way to the side of the bed as the ghost inside tried to escape its prison. Picking it up and plonking it back in the middle of the bed as it shouted again, Danny looked up and said, "It's safe to come in. I'm not going to blast you to the ceiling."
"You wouldn't be able to anyway, Fenton." Someone replied as they walked in and Harry sent a nod to the Hunter and his friend, both wizards walking away and to their own dorm room.
"So, how did Danny become Danny Phantom?" Ron asked as they shut the door quietly and made their way to their beds. Harry chuckled as he answered, "Cliche Laborotory accident, Ron. He got his powers in an accident. Tucker was there, he can tell you everything."
"Oh. G'night Harry."
"G'night Ron."
Later that morning
The Great Hall was fuller when the Hogwarts Inquisitor walked in the next morning, with children walking in a large group only to stand at the very front of the Staff Table itself. The group at the front were not wearing the regulation school robes but rather a collection of muggle clothing that looked to have been ragged, burnt and then slept in. Listening in on their conversations, she heard that they had American accents and all seemed to want to stand in little groups of their own, sometimes talking to one another if there was a need to.
"My dearest children, I hope that you found your chosen House to your liking." Dumbledore greeted them all, everyone of them nodding as the students looked confused when he nodded and turned to the rest of them and spoke, "Last night, at approximately seven in the evening in Amity Park, Illinois, America, the group you see before you was attacked by none other than Lord Voldemort. It is unclear why he decided to show himself to this town, however, it can be made quite clear that they have not had the best introduction to our world-"
"WAIT! They're muggles?!"
Bit rushed, but it'll be edited when I have room to frigging breathe! I have to get to work now.
