"The wedding was lovely," Minerva Potter commented to Daphne Greengrass' mother as she watched George Weasley dance with Jasmine in his arms. Her daughter's giggles were music to her ears.
"Daphne certainly looked like the next Lady of the House," Andromeda offered as she watched Hermione dance with Teddy tucked safely in her arms. "You should be very proud of her!"
"We are," Adorabella Greengrass replied. "She was devastated when she found out she was barren last year. I feared for her sanity when the vultures started circulating and attempting to gain her hand as a second wife. We are beyond grateful for Arthur Weasley and his suggestion."
"How did Daphne respond when she found out about the betrothal?" Minerva asked curiously as she took a sip of her wine. "It must have been suprising to find out she was betrothed to a female."
"She was suprised of course," Adorabella answered then laughed. "Then Daphne commented on how fertile Weasley witches are. Florian made her day when he informed her Ginny would submit to a full physical before the wedding and would birth her two heirs."
"I imagine having children became increasingly important to her after Cyrus' accident," Andromeda said delicately. It had devastated the pureblood community when the young heir had his broom accident.
"Yes," managed Adorabella sadly. "Daphne pulled away from us when he died. We hope children of her own will heal her hurts. His death devastated us but it crushed Daphne."
"Maybe Daphne will speak with George," Minerva said as she watched him. "I don't think he has dealt with losing Fred. I imagine losing a twin is rather debilitating."
"I shall mention it to Daphne later," promised Adorabella. "I suspect she will be keeping close to Ginny for a bit. She made a very potent fertility potion this week."
"I may have told Ginny about the married quarters and modified schedule for pregnant students," Minerva admitted with a grin. "I believe Hermione mentioned having multiple children at once so Ginny could try for her dream career."
"It doesn't hurt that you own 30 percent of the Montrose Magpies and they are losing their seeker in a few years either I suppose," Andromeda said with a raised eyebrow.
"There's no need to look the gift horse in the mouth, is there?" Minerva offered and all three women broke out into laughter.
"You sat your NEWTs?" Minerva asked suprised as he gave her the unopened, certified envelope with his results.
"I did," Harry admitted with a shrug. "I couldn't very well be married to the Headmistress of Hogwarts and not have NEWTs on record. I imagine that would hinder your reputation as an educator a bit. Hermione and I arranged to take them privately. It's amazing what they will do for the Defeater of Voldemort."
Minerva snorted and shook her head at him. "You are something special Harry Potter," she whispered as she pressed a kiss to his lips. She opened the envelope and smiled brightly at the results. "You took all of them?"
"Well Hermione wanted to take them all and they wouldn't let her unless I did as well," he justified. "How badly did I do?"
"You passed them all," Minerva answered with pride. "You managed Outstanding in Defense, Potions, Charms and Transfiguration as well as earning your Mastery in Defense. I guess with your results and your ultimate defeat of Voldemort it wouldn't be too far of a jump."
"Is that common?" Harry asked confused. He hadn't realized that was a possibility.
"Not unheard of," she answered. "Not widely done though. The Defense position is still unfilled."
Harry sighed before giving her a look. "I'm not going to be given any time off, am I?
"It's doubtful," she remarked with a grin. "Once these results are made public, the offers will start rolling in for the Defeater of Voldemort."
"Well I guess I accept the position," he answered and then pulled her near. "I can at least take advantage of the Headmistress in this arrangement." Minerva's laughter echoed throughout the room.
Minerva groaned as Harry latched onto her neck and sucked hard. He pulled her back against him and kneaded her breasts through her robes. "Harry," she moaned needy as her body set ablaze for him.
He chuckled before apparating them into their bedroom. He spun her around and kissed her passionately. "Gods how I love you MinaLove!" he exclaimed and pushed her on the bed. "You have been featured in my every thought today."
"What was I doing in your thoughts?" she asked playfully.
"Writhing in pleasure beneath me," he whispered sultry.
Minerva moaned at the thought and soaked her panties from his tone of voice. "Let's get to it then," she whispered as she pulled him on top of her and kissed him fiercely.
"Where are we going?" Minerva asked her husband as they walked from Hogwarts towards Hogsmeade.
Harry smiled at her before answering, "I may have hired Goblin contractors to build that cottage you described. I also offered a bonus if they finished it before school was in session and could keep it a secret from you."
Minerva stared at him wide-eyed before grinning at him. "You are amazing Harry," she said with a smile.
They walked up to a quaint stone cottage decorated with colorful flowers and plants surrounding it. There was a wrap around porch with delicate wooden railing around it. She imagined Harry and her could snuggle on the swing she spied in the corner and the children could safely run around the porch happily. "It's lovely," she breathed in awe.
"You haven't seen the inside yet," he teased as he tugged her towards the front door. She laughed musically as he swept her into his arms and carried her across the threshold reminding her of something Dougal would have done back in the 50s.
"Amazing," she breathed as she glimpsed the living room. Lovely shades of greens, purples and earth tones featured throughout the room. A couple of wooden bookshelves were tucked into the corner of the room. One with muggle literature and the other with Magic inspired ones. She noted the bottom shelf of both bookshelves held children's books and smiled at Harry. A wooden chest by the window held various toys for the children. The comfortable looking couch and sofa was parallel to the fireplace and had a nearby coffee table. "Absolutely amazing," she said with a happy smile.
The walls were filled with pictures of their family she noted. She smiled when she saw a couple of Teddy and Andromeda. Harry had been serious about making Teddy an older brother to the twins. She spied an adorable picture of Teddy and the twins napping together in Jamie's crib in Caithness in a place of honor. "Kreacher captured that one," offered Harry. "Seems he loves to take pictures."
Minerva grinned, "Maybe we should buy him a better quality camera."
"Maybe we should," Harry said with a playful grin as he grasped his wife's hand gently. "Shall we see the rest Lady Potter?"
Minerva smiled as he led her through a tour of the kitchen, office and half bath downstairs. Upstairs had a guest room, bedrooms for Teddy, Jamie, and Jasmine and each had small private bathrooms. There was a family room that had a large window with a great view of the streets of Hogsmeade. The last one held their bedroom. It was larger than the rest of the rooms and held the largest bed she had ever seen.
Minerva looked at Harry in question prompting him to laugh. "I figured as the babies grew they would eventually find their way in our bed," he answered with a smile.
Minerva nodded at that. "They most likely will," she replied. "I imagine I shall enjoy our time alone in there as well."
Harry smiled at his wife and kissed her gently. "I imagine so," he agreed as he tugged her towards the bathroom.
Minerva smiled as she saw the double sink with plenty of space. A huge walk in shower and rather large sunk in soaker tub were present. The toilet was hidden behind a divider which she appreciated. "It's lovely," she breathed.
Harry moved their joined hands to the stone wall above the tub and pressed them firmly against it. Her breath hitched as the room darkened and candlelight errupted throughout the room. The tub instantly filled with steamy water. "How did you manage that?" she questioned in awe.
"It's a Goblin secret apparently," he answered with a smirk. "They were impressed I walked in the bank after the war. Hermione and I were unarmed and each carried a dragon egg. We asked for an audience with the leader in their language. They forgave us for the break in of the bank when we explained why we did it. It seems we impressed them somewhat and now are able to access little known protections and charms."
"Should I ask where you managed to get dragon eggs?"
Harry looked at her sheepishly. "Probably not," he admitted. "We may have broken a law or two."
Minerva shook her head at him but her subtle smile informed him she wasn't disappointed in him. "It's lovely," she whispered. "You designed it better than I ever could have."
"I just added to your original plans," he argued. "There's one more thing I want to show you." He tugged her to a stone wall in their bedroom and placed her hand on it. "Say show me Hogwarts."
Minerva raised her eyebrow in suprise but did as he asked. Her mouth dropped open as the wall was replaced with a large glass window and a lovely view of Hogwarts from the cliff side appeared. "It's breathtaking," she whispered emotionally.
"I may have purchased a couple more acres of land so we could cut a few trees down to get that view," he admitted with a grin. "I shall always consider Hogwarts special and I am confident you feel the same."
Minerva turned teary eyes to him and smiled radiantly. "How did I get so lucky in life to find you Harry Potter?"
He grinned before countering, "I'm the lucky one." He wrapped her up in his arms and kissed her passionately which suited her just fine.
