After weeks of distractions and hours of thinking up original ideas, we're here. Welcome to "True", another story in my career that I worked on for the past couple of months. Enjoy! (Also, sorry if some chapters are a bit short.)
(The sun rises on the Rainbow Kingdom, and it shines on True and Bartleby's house. Inside, True has already prepared breakfast for both her and Bartleby.)
Bartleby: Another day in the Rainbow Kingdom!
True: Yep, that's what we usually say. I'm doing something different today, though.
Bartleby(with food stuffed in his mouth): Hm? What are you doing?
True: I'm going to take a stroll with Cumulo. I'll be back in half an hour. Watch the house for me, will y'a?
Bartleby: Of course!
True: Alright. See you later!
Bartleby: Be careful out there!
(As she opens the door, she pauses and looks at Bartleby.)
True: Don't worry. I will be.
(She exits the house, closing the door behind her. Outside, she walks to the center of the road.)
True: Oh, Cumulo!!!!
(Cumulo flies down and beams at her once she lands.)
True: No location today, Cumulo! Could you fly me around the Rainbow Kingdom, please?
(Cumulo lets out a confused squeak.)
True: I just want to get some fresh air.
(Cumulo lets out an understanding squeak, and True climbs on her. Cumulo takes off and flies above the city district. Cumulo then heads into the Neverending Forest. She passes by Urg and Yerk.)
True: Hi, Urg! Hi, Yerk!
Urg and Yerk: Hiii!
(True waves back, and the two exit the Neverending Forest. They then head for the Living Sea. Cumulo lowers herself a tiny bit, and True puts her hand as they fly across the big blue sea. Then the two pass by the yellow-fog-filled Soggy Bottom Swamp. They quickly zoom past the area as Glummy watches them fly by, this time not in glum, but in anger. He pops his head back into his stump, and sits in the corner.)
Glummy: There goes True again, the heeerroooo. Ugh, I'm getting tired of seeing her all the time, especially around those HAPPY citizens. Why can they just accept the TRUTH?!
(Glummy pauses for a moment.)
Glummy: Or maybe...they don't know the truth yet. Well...
(Glummy looks out the hole in his stump.)
Glummy: Someone's gotta teach it to them, eh?
(Glummy forms a evil smile on his face, then picks up his gloom scepter.)
