Season One, Episode One

Surprise everyone! I have decided to start episode one off introducing you to our four newest members! With certain things happening, I unfortunately decided to change the year from 2022, to 2030 for plots wise for a certain character, whom surrogate mother is an original Glee Club member. I hope you understand. Today's episode Will will post the four members first chosen for Glee Club after most of the school auditions, but don't worry to people who're still submitting, your character should be introduced next episode. They have their first meeting and things don't look to good, most of the members fight over solos, and Will has to teach them how to appreciate what they get, and that without them there would be no song to sing. They also will be singing a certain song dedicated to 2009-2015 Glee Club. Let's be divine , shall we?

Will Schuester's usual Tuesday morning routine included getting Daniel, Claire, and Chris up from bed and preparing their lunches for school. Emma was doing her usual routine too. Which included making the beds and getting ready for work. The Schuester family have never been happier over the last fifteen years, and they were a very close-knit family who always came to each other.

"Emma, can we discuss the glee club auditions?" Will questioned his wife as he looked over the cast list in his hand. Will was overwhelmed with the wonderful, and sometimes horrible auditions over the last twenty-four hours.

"Sure Will, how did they go?" Emma replied as she finished cooking, turning off the gas stove and placing the eggs on some plates. Emma has shown great improvements with her OCD over the last decade and a half. But even she had her moments every now and then.

"I'm stuck on some kids, and I know you were only able to see a bit of the auditions because you had to pick up Claire and Chris…" Will sipped his cup of coffee, tapping his pencil on the sheet of paper absentmindedly.

"Well, from all the auditions I did see, there were some standouts. Nathan Markus, and also Emily Dalton had beautiful voices. Their song choices were distinctly different and beautifully sung." Emma pointed out as she recalled the auditions from the day before.

"I couldn't agree more honey. I just hope Sue doesn't mind us selecting them." Will sighed with slight annoyance. Even though Sue's opinion on the glee club changed drastically, she still maintained her indifferent attitude towards the club.

"I'm sure she'll be fine with it. Besides, you clearly dealt with her for fifteen years. I'm sure you'll find your way," Emma chuckled softly as she kissed Will affectionately.

"You're right. I might do some more auditions over the next week privately, but right I have to go honey. I'll see you at school after you drop off the kids." Will chuckled and embraced Emma's kiss and kissed her back. He grabbed his list and finished up finalizing it.

William McKinley High School

As Will arrived at McKinley High School, banners hung from the school's headlights and read "Congrats Cheerios on the national win!" in red and white bolded letters. It was going to be a great day, hopefully. Will sighed at the site of the banner and pulled up into a parking spot.

Students eagerly watched Will as he walked down to halls, holding the list containing the glee club's newest members. Eventually, the students started to crowd around and followed Will to the extracurricular board in the middle of the hallway. Will noticed the crowd, but tried his best to ignore them until he got to the board.

"Good luck to everyone who auditioned. I can't wait for this season." Will announced to those gathered behind him as he placed the list on the board.

The students quickly crowded the list. Nathan and Emily were both wearing their Cheerios uniform with pride as they tried to make their way through the multitudes of students trying to get a glance at the list. Most of the students have already left disappointed on not being selected.

"I got in!" Nathan covered his mouth in shock unable to cope with being one of five selected to be part of the New Directions. "What about you Emily?"

"Yes, I did! Oh bless the good lord above! I'm so keen that we get to be together in two clubs." Emily cheered breathlessly.

She then frowned, turning to ask Nathan, "hold on, what even is a glee club? Like, what did I just audition for anyways?"

"It's a show choir, "Nathan tried to explain as simply as possible, "we perform songs and go to competitions and such." He tried, he really did but glee club was a complex thing to understand.

"W-what?! I didn't know that it was that sort of affair. I mean, I'm not a singer, I'm a dancer. And not on God's green earth do I want to sing in front of a crowd!" Emily squawked, her panic causing a scene in front of the crowd.

"Emily, look at me! We can do it together. You have a beautiful voice, one that I love and so did Mr. Schue." Nathan put his hands on Emily's shoulders as he reassured her softly. "He sure wouldn't have picked you if you couldn't sing. You have the voice of an angel, so please stay. Let's do this together," he finished calmly as he tried to convince her not to leave this opportunity.

"I- alright fine. We can do it… together even." Emily shot a small smile at Nathan, feeling a bit calmer. She was still uncertain of this road that she had chosen to go down, but Emily liked Nathan, and with someone like him beside her she knew that she would be alright in the end.

And as the crowd started to die down, the chosen five remained, waiting for something to happen. Evan was in shock that he was selected, while Mirabelle and Sarah knew they'd get in because they were certain of their capabilities.

Choir Room, Fourth Period

The choir room had changed over the last fifteen years. They had completely redesigned the room with sofas, tables, and even ping pong tables for students, however none of the new changes really made students care more the choir room.

"So anyone going to tell me what the hell is going on? It's not like Mr. Schue to be late on the first day of practice." Mirabelle snapped loudly, her tone laced with annoyance. "Like, who in the hell is late to the first day of practice?" She continued protesting aloud.

"Maybe he's with some other students, or helping Mrs. Schuester?" Emily suggested softly, only irritating Mirabelle further.

"Ugh, whatever you say Miss. Happy Toes." Mirabelle snickered.

Emily went to reply but stopped as Mr. Schuester quickly walked into the room holding the list of song selections for the lesson.

"Hello everyone, sorry I'm late. I was discussing something with Miss. Pillsbury," Will apologized quickly as he made his way over to the whiteboard. Grabbing the blue marker, he effortlessly wrote out "Dedication" on the board, complete with a full stop.

"Now, I'm sure you are all questioning why just I wrote 'Dedication' on the whiteboard. Well, in honor of the 2009-2015 glee club we will be singing 'Don't Stop Believin'!" Will excitedly told his students, only to receive a mixed reaction from them.

"So, we are doing a tribute per say?" Nathan asked out loud.

"Yes, exactly Nathan. I will be selecting two soloists for the performance as well. The question is, who do I give those solos to?" Will questioned aloud as he looked at his students.

"Obviously the solo should go to me." Sarah chirped enthusiastically.

"No way, Little Miss. Wannabe Rachel Berry. I want a solo." Nathan said with a glare as he fixed his sweater's collar.

"Why would you get it Gay Boy?" Mirabelle hissed at Nathan, completely annoyed with the situation.

"I think we should…" Emily started, only to be interrupted again.

"Enough! You all need to learn patience. You will all get a solo eventually!" Will yelled at his students causing them to go quite as the bell rang for fifth period.

Sue Sylvester's Office

Things had changed since Sue became the Vice President of the United States of America. She had helped make a new law that helped out people with physical disabilities financially. And of course, she had also managed to lecture her way into coaching the Cheerios. Today, however, she was annoyed to hear from a little birdie that two of her best Cheerios were selected for the glee club. Now, she had absolutely no problem with the glee club. Mostly. Kinda. For losers who weren't also some of her best cheerleaders. Now that was an entirely different story for Coach Sylvester.

"So, you're in glee club now?" Sue asked Nathan and Emily directly as they sat down in her office.

"Well- we joined because-" Nathan tried to make an excuse, it was cut off by Emily.

"We want to spy on them Coach! To make sure that absolutely everything is under control," Emily lied effortlessly in her earnest and adorable British accent as she clasped her hands together in her lap. But it was all a desperate attempt to save her and Nathan from the possibility of being kicked off the Cheerios.

"All right, that's good. You'll be perfect for the task Lillibet, and Flannel here can assist you. I expect updates daily, got it?" Nathan frowned at Sylvester's nickname for Emily, but Emily herself remained indifferent. Sue herself seemed to believe Emily's lie as she stood up menacingly.

"Now I have to go to a meeting, so get to

it." The coach strode out of the room.

Nathan softly breathed a sigh of relief. "Thanks Emily, you didn't have to lie for us."

"Nathan, don't worry about it." She cooed softly. "We both are a team, and we have to stick up for each other. Besides, I've always wanted to be a double agent." Emily smiled childishly as she got up from her seat and held out her hand to Nathan. "Come on, let's get to practice."

"Let's." Nathan grinned at Emily and took her hand as she dragged him down the halls to the glee club.

Choir Room, Six Period

"Who do you think is getting the solos?" Evan asked as he walked into the room with Sarah.

"Hopefully me, I really want to show my full potential with this solo." Sarah smiled as she took her seat beside him and waited for everyone to arrive.

Once everyone was finally seated, Mr. Schue turned around to the students.

"I've decided that we are going to sing together. You guys need to work together, if we want to be a good team that will win nationals." Will spoke out turning down solos to each of the members. The kids sulked, looking at each other with annoyance and disappointed. But they all understood that Will was right, if they didn't get along then there would be no glee club.

Finn Hudson Auditorium

The band prepared to play as the newest members of the glee club got onto the stage. Taking each other's hands hesitantly, the band kicked in with the opening chords of the song.

The group nervously began to sing, especially since this was their first performance together. All of them wanted to be here on the stage and that is what mattered. As they harmoniously began to sing the song. All of their vocals combined reminded Will of the original group, how they all wanted to have fun and be together. Will taught them how to work together, just how he did with the original group.

"Just a small town girl

Livin' in a lonely world

She took the midnight train going anywhere

Just a city boy

Born and raised in South Detroit

He took the midnight train going anywhere

A singer in a smokey room

A smell of wine and cheap perfume

For a smile they can share the night

It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waitin'

Up and down the boulevard

Their shadows searchin' in the night

Streetlights, people

Livin' just to find emotion

Hidin', somewhere in the night

Workin' hard to get my fill

Everybody wants a thrill

Payin' anything to roll the dice

Just one more time

Some'll win, some will lose

Some are born to sing the blues

Whoa, the movie never ends

It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waitin'

Up and down the boulevard

Their shadows searchin' in the night

Streetlights, people

Livin' just to find emotion

Hidin', somewhere in the night

Don't stop believin'

Hold on to that feelin'

Streetlights, people

Don't stop believin'

Hold on

Streetlights, people

Don't stop believin'

Hold on to that feelin'

Streetlights, people"

The group was shining like the stars that they were, and they all knew it. Will felt tears slip down his cheeks, knowing that he wasn't crying because of how good they sounded together and how well they co-operated in that moment, but also how fifteen years of magic seemed to lure in them. He knew deep down that each one of those students were going to make it far in life, that they'd stay strong even when times became hard. And that they were all a family in the end, and remain always. Will couldn't wait, not just for what the students before him had in store for that year, but also for what they had in store for the long lives ahead of them just like those he had coached in the past. He just knew it.
