Emily's House

Emily was cleaning her room because she was expecting company. Nathan was coming over, and she didn't want to have a dirty room. After vacuuming for what seemed like forever, Emily's doorbell rang.

"I'll get it!" Emily shrieked from upstairs and rushed downstairs to open the front door.

"Hey Emily, ready for our sleepover?" Nathan shot Emily a smile as he waved at her. Emily nodded with a smile, and Nathan carried in big luggage of clothing.

"You really need that, Nathan? You're only staying for one night." Emily said, her voice laced with laughter.

"Hey- everyone needs a clothing change at least twice a day!" Nathan shot her a look as the duo both laughed.

"Follow me upstairs." Emily waved Nathan over as they ran upstairs. Emily's parents were out on a date, so Emily and Nathan were the only two at the home.Emilyopened the door to her room, both of them sat on Emily's bed.

"So, Emily, how's your first couple weeks of school going?" Nathan asked Emily while he fixed his hair.

"It's going alright, I guess. I just wish I had more friends, you know?"

"Well guess what? I've decided to make you my new project!" Nathan giggled as he pulled out his makeup kit.

"You really don't have to do that." Emily protests as she watches Nathan take out his makeup kit.

"I know, that's what makes me so nice." Nathan said with a grin. He takes out a makeup brush and begins to sing.

"Whenever I see someone less fortunate than I

(And let's face it, who isn't less fortunate than I?)

My tender heart tends to start to bleed

And when someone needs a makeover

I simply have to take over

I know I know exactly what they need"

Nathan hops behind Emily on the bed and starts applying makeup to her face.

"And even in your case

Though it's the toughest case I've yet to face,

Don't worry, I'm determined to succeed

Follow my lead, and yes, indeed, you will be...

Popular!"

Nathan starts combing Emily's hair as he starts dancing around the arena, just enjoying himself singing. Emily watches, trying not to laugh.

"I'll help you be popular!

You'll hang with the right cohorts

You'll be good at sports

Know the slang you've got to know

So let's start

'Cause you've got an awfully long way to go…

Don't be offended by my frank analysis

Thinkof it as personality dialysis

Now that I've chosen to become a pal, sister and adviser

There's nobody wiser

Not when it comes to...

Popular"

Nathan starts taking out more and more makeup, and starts braiding Emily's hair beautifully.

"I know about popular

And with an assist from me

To be who you'll be

Instead of dreary, who you were... well, are

There's nothing that can stop you

From becoming popu-ler...lar…

La la, la la!

Nathan began to jump around the room, frolicking. Emily could help but laugh as Nathan bounced around.

"We're gonna make youpop-u-lar...

When I see depressing creatures

With unprepossessing features

I remind them on their own behalf to think of

Celebrated heads of state

Or 'specially great communicators

Didthey have brains or knowledge?

Don't make me laugh!

They were popular!

Please, it's all about popular!

It's not about aptitude

It's the way you're viewed

So it's very shrewd to be

Very, very popular like me!"

"You look beautiful. God damn I'm magical, aren't I?" Nathan grins as finishes applying Emily's makeup and finishes braiding her hair and hands her a mirror.

"And though you protest

Your disinterest

I know clandestinely

You're gonna grin and bear it

Your new found popularity

Ohh!

La la, la la!

You'll be popular

Just not quite as popular as me!"

Nathan throws his hands up in the air while hitting the final high note and bounces off Emily's bed to finish off the song.

"That was quite a performance." Emily giggled as she looked at herself in the mirror. "Nathan, I know you worked hard, but this makeup isn't my style." Emily sighed as she placed the mirror down.

"I understand, but hey, I did an outstanding performance." Nathan said accepting as he undid Emily's makeup and hair.

"Hey Nathan, I have a question for you." Emily asked as she cooperated with Nathan removing the makeup off her face.

"A question? Hit me." Nathan responded, completely wiping off all of Emily's makeup.

"Do you like Evan? Like do you love him" Emily asked with curiosity. Nathan's eyes widened as she asked. "That is, if you want to tell me."

"No, it's fine. Um, yes, I do. I've always had a crush on him ever since seventh grade. I know it's weird." Nathan tentatively grabbed the mirror, placing back frowned.

"No it's not. And to answer your question, yes, I do." Nathan said, his cheeks blush bright red.

"Oh, I knew it! Since you've been so helpful to me, I want to be helpful to you. We are going to win Evan over for you." Emily said, clashing her hands together with a smile.

"W-what? No, we couldn't possibly do that-" Nathan started blabbering, only to be cut off by Emily.

"Come on, please?" Emily pleads.

"Fine. What do you get in mind?" Nathan curiously asked.

William McKinley High

"Welcome back to another meeting of Glee Club! Now, I'll like to give a warm welcome to our newest members Lorenzo, Billie, and Adam." Mr. Schue welcomes the new members to the glee club, while current members introduced themselves.

Once the students finished introducing themselves, Mr. Schue walked his way to the whiteboard and effortlessly wrote the word "Pop".

"Pop music has a big influence around the world. Today's assignment, I would like to prepare a song that in the pop genre." Mr. Schue said, smiling at his students. Most of them couldn't help but smile excitedly.

"Mr. Schue? I think I have a song we can all do together." Sarah raised her hand and stood up from her seat and walked to the center of the choir room. "Hit it."

"I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone

I crashed my car into the bridge, I watched, I let it burn

I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs

I crashed my car into the bridge"

Sarah sings the starting verse by herself, interacting with her surroundings and moving around.

"I don't care, I love it

I don't care

I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone

I crashed my car into the bridge, I watched, I let it burn

I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs

I crashed my car into the bridge

I don't care, I love it

I don't care"

Everyone finally joins in and dances around. Nathan sings along with Emily besides him, while Billie and Lorenzo dances around awkwardly but enjoyed themselves singing. Mirabelle was dancing around and singing like she was a punk rock queen, and Adam and Evan dances with Sarah as they sang.

"You're on a different road, I'm in the Milky Way

You want me down on Earth, but I am up in space

You're so damn hard to please, wegottakill this switch

You're from the '70s, but I'm a '90s bitch

I love it

I love it

I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone

I crashed my car into the bridge, I watched, I let it burn

I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs

I crashed my car into the bridge

I don't care, I love it

I don't care, I love it, I love it

I don't care, I love it

I don't care

You're on a different road, I'm in the Milky Way

You want me down on Earth, but I am up in space

You're so damn hard to please, wegottakill this switch

You're from the '70s, but I'm a '90s bitch

I don't care, I love it

I don't care, I love it, I love it

I don't care, I love it

I don't care, I love it, I love it

I don't care

I love it"

"Good job, everyone, I'll see you all at lunch." Mr. Schue bursts out in laughter as the group finishes the musical number, and they headed out the room.

Main Hallway

"Ok, Nathan, you got this. Do exactly what I told you to do. Be yourself." Emily fixes Nathan's hair with a comb as she warmly tutors him and advises him on what to do.

"I don't know if I can do it! What if he says no?" Nathan's voice is laced with panic as he watches Evan put his books into his locker.

"Trust me, you can believe in yourself. I know you're very capable of it." Emily comforts Nathan with her sweet Australian accent in efforts to calm him down.

"Ok, I can do it." Nathan sighs and hugs Emily. He then walks down to Evan's locker just in time for him to close it.

"Oh, hey Nathan. What do you need?" Evan smiled at Nathan awkwardly as he prepared to head to football practice.

"Umm, I was wondering if you'll like to hang out, sometime this weekend-?" Nathan awkwardly asks, but is abruptly cut off by Parker Adair throwing a cherryslushieinto Nathan's face, clearly about to cry of embarrassment Nathan storms off, Emily hot on his heals.

Lunch Room

Billie was sitting alone at a lunch table. She thought joining glee club would help her make friends, as well as improve her singing. At least it was for one of those reasons. Adam, Sarah, and Mirabelle approached Billie and sat next to her.

"What? You guys don't have to do this." Billie protests as they sat next to her.

"Yes we do, you are our friend." Adam calmly says. Both Sarah and Mirabelle nod in agreement.

"And besides, you look like a loser sitting alone." Mirabelle jokingly giggled, making Billie roll her eyes jokingly.

"Yeah, what Adam and Mirabelle said. Except for the part that you are a loser." Sarah said, smiling in agreeance, making Billie smiles slightly.

"Alright, you can sit with me." Billie said, nodding in approval of them sitting with her.

"Billie, tell us about yourself." Sarah said, curiously wondering about Billie more.

"Well, I like classical rock music, tattoos, piercing, and that's really all." Billie tells them, but it was obviously she had more to say.

"You sure that's all?" Sarah persists to hear more from Billie.

"That's all." Billie abruptly says in annoyance to Sarah. She was hiding something, she didn't want to tell them about her life. This wasn't fucking story of my life. Or was it because she didn't like her life? Ever since her mother died, her life went to hell.

"I have to go. I'll see you guys at practice." Billie says, frowning and gets up to leave the cafeteria. Leaving the three at the table in awkward silence.

Girl's Bathroom

"Nathan don't cry. You know that wasn't supposed to happen." Emily tried comforting Nathan while taking some paper towels to wipe theslushieoff Nathan's face. All Nathan could so was cry.

"I've never been more embarrassed. Now he's for sure not going to want to hang out with me after that fiasco." Nathan sniffs while Emily continued to wipe theslushieresidue off his face.

"Look, that wasn't your fault, he still might want to go out with you." Emily insisted after finishing cleaning Nathan's face.

"You really think so?" Nathan asked while wiping his tears away with his sleeve.

"I know so. Now let's get to practice. Mr. Schue is waiting on us."

"Alright let's go." Nathan said with a smile on his face as the two headed off to the choir room.

Sue Sylvester's Office

"Oh how my rage grows like the stench of Will's passion for glee. It was one thing not having my two most valuable Cheerios on the club, it's another when it is. Now I hear Flannel got aslushiein his face? That was partly my fault because I tipped Parker to do it. I shouldn't have done it, but fear is like milk to children. They need it. I will surely get the glee club shut down by the end of the season, permanently. All they have to do is lose at one of the loser competitions. Watch out, Will, because Sue Sylvester is back for revenge." Will writes down into her diary and reads out loud. She really did hate the glee club even more. She was out for blood, but how was she going to do it?

Choir Room

"Alright everyone, I've heard you've all prepared a song together. I'll love to hear it!" Mr. Schue says as Sue entered the choir room to speak to Will.

"Will, I would like to speak to you outside. Now." Sue asks him as Will nods and heads out.

"I just talked toFiggins, well sorta. I blackmailed him into removing the budget for glee club. This is what you get for taking my cheerleaders away, and this is just the beginning. Once you lose, the club will permanently be shut down." Sue says trying to intimidate Will.

"Sue, you always do this. You better stay out of our way." Will gets up in Sue's face with rage.

"Your breath stinks of happiness." Sue snickers as she leaves Will. The students watch as Will and Sue fought, but kept quiet.

"Mr.SchueI prepared a song for this week if I may?" Nathan raised his hand. "Sure go ahead." Will responds with a smile.

Nathan stepped down from the chairs and begins to sing when the band starts playing to beat to Call Me Maybe

"I threw a wish in the well

Don't ask me, I'll never tell

I looked to you as it fell

And now you're in my way

I trade my soul for a wish

Pennies and dimes for a kiss

I wasn't looking for this

But now you're in my way

Your stare was holdin'

Ripped jeans, skin was showin'

Hot night, wind was blowin'

Where you think you're going, baby?

Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

It's hard to look right at you, baby

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

And all the other boys try to chase me

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

You took your time with the call

I took no time with the fall

You gave me nothing at all

But still, you're in my way

I beg and borrow and steal

At first sight, and it's real

I didn't know I would feel it

But it's in my way

Your stare was holdin'

Ripped jeans, skin was showin'

Hot night, wind was blowin'

Where you think you're going, baby?

Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

It's hard to look right at you, baby

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

And all the other boys try to chase me

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad

I missed you so bad, I missed you so, so bad

Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad

And you should know that

I missed you so, so bad

(Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad)

It's hard to look right at you, baby

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

And all the other boys try to chase me

But here's my number, so call me, maybe

Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad

I missed you so bad, I missed you so, so bad

Before you came into my life, I missed you so bad

And you should know that

So call me maybe"

Nathan finishes singing and dancing around the room with claps from around the room. Evan blushes bright red, while Nathan's blushes in his seat.

"Thank you, Nathan. Now let's do our group number, shall we? Hit it!" Mr. Schue says as the band began playing to Teenage Dream. The group stands up and dances together rhythmically while their voices joined together like one.

"You think I'm pretty without any makeup on

You think I'm funny when I tell the punch line wrong

I know you get me, so I let my walls come down, down

Before you met me

I was alright, but things were kinda heavy

You brought me to life, now every February

You'll be my Valentine, Valentine

Let's go all the way tonight

No regrets, just love

We can dance, until we die

You and I, will be young forever

You make me

Feel like I'm livin' a teenage dream

The way you turn me on, I can't sleep

Let's run away and don't ever look back, don't ever look back

My heart stops

When you look at me, just one touch

Now, baby, I believe this is real

So take a chance and don't ever look back, don't ever look back

We drove to Cali and got drunk on the beach

Got a motel and built a fort out of sheets

I finally found you, my missing puzzle piece

I'm complete

Let's go all the way tonight

No regrets, just love

We can dance until we die

You and I, will be young forever

You make me

Feel like I'm livin' a teenage dream

The way you turn me on, I can't sleep

Let's run away and don't ever look back, don't ever look back

My heart stops

When you look at me, just one touch

Now baby I believe this is real

So take a chance and don't ever look back, don't ever look back

I'maget your heart racing in my skin-tight jeans

Be your teenage dream tonight

Let you put your hands on me in my skin-tight jeans

Be your teenage dream tonight

Tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight

You make me

Feel like I'm livin' a teenage dream

The way you turn me on, I can't sleep

Let's run away and don't ever look back, don't ever look back no

My heart stops

When you look at me, just one touch

Now, baby, I believe this is real oh

So take a chance and don't ever look back, don't ever look back

I'maget your heart racing in my skin-tight jeans

Be your teenage dream tonight

Let you put your hands on me in my skin-tight jeans

Be your teenage dreamtonight

Tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight, tonight'

Once they finished singing the song, all the group could do was laugh.

Main Hallway

Nathan was packing his bag up as the final ball rang. He was feeling much better since being slushed. After finishing packing his bag up, Evan approached him, and handed him a piece of paper with his phone number.

"Call me." He whispered before exiting the room.

Nathan blushed bright red as he saw the number. Oh god, he was going to need to tell Emily.

Now I know Nathan was focused on more, but that is totally going to change. Next chapter we will focus mostly on Billie and Emily, but of course everyone else will be involved in the episode. It's just those two will have more "screen time". So tell me what you think about this episode?
