"For once I'm happy that I let you drag me off on an away mission Jim, this place is stunning."

McCoy said as he glanced around at the beautiful scenery which surrounded him, nature was everywhere he looked.

"Glad you like it Bones, just don't go getting attacked by any plants now, I know how much nature hates you."

Kirk did have a point. It seemed that whenever the Doctor came close to any form of flora, he got attacked.

It was kinda funny to watch, but Kirk knew better than to laugh when these events took place. Mainly since he knew that McCoy would jab a hypo into his neck.

McCoy just rolled his eyes, "It's not just me who gets attacked by plants Jim, our Scotsman does too."

"That's true, talking of our Scotsman. Where has Scotty got to?" Kirk asked as he looked around, hoping to see a glimmer of red.

"You know Scotty, he can't stay still. He's most likely off exploring somewhere, but he'll be fine."

Kirk had never heard McCoy sound so calm, normally he was panicking by now. "What's gotten into ya Bones, finally letting ya hair down?"

It was clear by the look on the CMO's face that he didn't really appreciate his Captain's comment.

"Not in the slightest Jim, I can guarantee that something is going to happen. I just hope…"

McCoy's response was interrupted by a loud scream, one which seemed to echo through the air.

"Did you hear that?" McCoy knew that was a stupid question, but he just wanted to be sure. "I sure did Bones, come on."

Kirk had took off like a bullet, followed closely behind by McCoy. The scream which they had heard was very familiar, it was one of the crew for sure.

But it wasn't just any member of the crew, it was a certain Scotsman who had cried out.

"Scotty! Where are you?" Kirk yelled, but only a mutter came back. So Kirk called out to him again, at least this time he got an answer.

Even if Kirk could barely hear it, "Down here Jim." "Where's here?" Questioned McCoy as he took a step.

Sadly, it seemed McCoy had taken a step in the wrong direction, since he suddenly slid down a steep embankment.

When the Doctor finally came to a stop, he heard someone muttering next to him. Turned out to be Scotty and he didn't sound happy.

"You mind speaking in English?!" McCoy asked as he slowly stood up, "I said 'Ouch! You landed on my foot' Surely you understood that?"

McCoy rolled his eyes, "I'm a Doctor Scotty, not a translator. I speak English, anyway are you alright?"

Scotty smiled faintly at him, "I'm fine, just a few bumps that's all." McCoy helped the Scotsman to his feet.

"Here, let me help you up." Kirk called as he dangled his hand down to them, before helping the pair back up the embankment.

"You gave us quite the scare with that scream of yours Scotty." Kirk stated, "Sorry Jim, didn't mean to. That fall just caught me off guard, that's all."

In a way, both McCoy and Kirk were kinda annoyed that they didn't get to see the Scotsman take his tumble, it would have made their trip even better.

McCoy then noticed Scotty standing a bit lob sided, as if he had a bad foot or ankle. "Are you sure you're alright Scotty?"

Scotty nodded his head quickly, "I'm perfectly alright Leonard, no need for ya to worry. Like I said, just a few bumps."

"You're standing a bit strangely." Stated Kirk, but it seemed like Scotty hadn't even noticed. "Don't worry Jim. I always do that."

Kirk wasn't sure how true that statement was, he had known the Scotsman for a while and had never seen him do that.

"Well if you say you're alright then I will believe that, come on, let's get back up to the ship. I think we've had enough excitement for one day."

McCoy nodded his head in agreement, "For once I agree with you Jim, get that Hobgoblin to beam us back up."

Kirk pulled his communicator off his belt and flicked it open, "Spock, we're ready to beam back."

"Right away Captain." The Vulcan replied from the other end.

McCoy was staring at Scotty, he agreed with Kirk when he said he was standing strangely, but chose not to say anything.

When they were back on the Enterprise, McCoy wanted to drag Scotty to Sick Bay to give him a look over.

But the Scotsman had simply vanished, had he really left the room without McCoy seeing?

"Bloody hell, is Scotty secretly a dam wizard?!" McCoy asked, Kirk just looked at him, a confused look plastered on his face.

"What in god's name are you going on about?" Kirk asked, "How did he sneak out without me seeing him leave?"

Kirk couldn't help but smile, "He's only a wizard when it comes to Engineering Bones, he must have gone back to work."

McCoy just rolled his eyes as he headed towards the door, "You may or may not get reports of me dragging Scotty to Sick Bay Jim."

Kirk didn't get a chance to reply since the doors had already closed, so instead he just burst into laughter, before heading off to the bridge.
