McCoy made his way down to Engineering, where else was Scotty going to be? With his hypo tightly in hand.

When McCoy walked in, he just yelled out the Scotsman's name, hoping that for once he would listen.

But as normal the only Engineer who replied was Keenser, even then it was only a grunt, which came from above.

McCoy looked up and glared at the little alien, "Get down before you fall down and break ya neck!" He roared.

The Engineer quickly scrambled down and ran over to McCoy, with yet another grunt.

"Keenser, where's Scotty?" McCoy asked, hoping to get a reply which he'll understand.

"Office." Replied Keenser, for once he used a word instead of just grunting. "Thanks."

Now knowing where Scotty was basically hiding, McCoy set off. Again.

McCoy clutched his hypo tightly, he would use it if Scotty was going to be a gigantic child, as normal.

Thankfully, the CEO's office wasn't that far from Engineering. So McCoy was there in no time.

He didn't bother knocking, Scotty told him not to bother.

"Scotty." McCoy called when he walked through the door, "Hello McCoy, what can I do for you?"

The Scotsman was sitting at his desk doing his paper work, which was slightly strange.

Normally Scotty did that during the night, when it was quieter.

"I came to give you a look over, just to make sure you didn't hurt yourself earlier."

"No need Doc, I'm fine." Scotty said quickly, too quickly for McCoy's liking.

He crossed his arms and just stared at the Engineer, "You must think I'm stupid."

"Sometimes I do if I'm honest, but believe me I'm fine. It's not the first time I've taken a wee tumble."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Questioned McCoy, he was more referring to the last part.

Scotty smiled brightly at him, "I'm Scottish Leonard, I've stumbled and tumbled my way out of many bars after a few too many."

McCoy had a feeling that statement was most likely true, he had seen Scotty drunk several times during their missions.

But he hadn't really seen him fall over, normally he was quite steady on his feet. It was the talking he wasn't good at while drunk.

A rush of funny memories came to McCoy's mind of the fun times he had spent with a slightly tipsy Scotsman.

He quickly pushed those memories aside, despite them being funny this was a serious moment.

"Come on Scotty, just let me give you a quick look over, just to make sure."

But it seemed like Scotty wasn't having any of it, "Trust me Leonard, I'm fine. Fit as a fiddle, besides I would tell ya if I wasn't."

That wasn't true, McCoy knew that for certain.

Scotty never admitted when he was hurt or ill, that was down to how stubborn he was.

"OK, but you better come and see me if something does happen. I'll be off, see ya later for a drink?" "Aye Doctor, that ya will."

McCoy smiled before leaving, still not convinced that the ships CEO was well or even fit to work.
