Miraculous:
Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir
Chapter Thirteen: This Time It's Personal
Marinette POV
"Ugh! This one isn't right either!" Marinette grumbled in the changing room.
Alya laughed from outside the door. "I can understand why you want the perfect bathing suit, but honestly girl, you have nothing to worry about! Adrien is going to love anything you wear!"
"You don't understand!" Marinette replied. "Other people will be at the beach and if they figure out we're together, then they're going to judge what I'm wearing being with him! I could make him look bad if it's in the wrong style!"
"You should get something that compliments your body shape," Alya went through the pile of choices Marinette had dragged into the changing area with her and held up one. "This one would work for you and, if I'm right, which I almost always am, then it'll keep his teenage boy eyes wanting more! Like a tantalizing snack just out of reach."
Marinette opened the door and poked her head out and regarded Alya with a frown. "You make it sound like I'm a macaron or something."
Alya handed her the selection and winked. "Even better tasting than passion fruit."
When Marinette caught her meaning, her face lit up a dark red. She quickly took the bathing suit and ducked back away in her stall. After some fidgeting, Marinette stood in front of the mirror. "Well, it works. It's not very sexy but…if you think he'll like it."
"Oh, we'll like it."
Adrien POV
"Plagg, I cannot take that much camembert with me to the beach. Even if Marinette knows about you, the others are definitely going to notice if several pounds of stinky cheese are heating up in the sun at the beach!" Adrien told his kwami.
"Then put the duffel bag in the shade. I'll shrivel up and pass away if I run out and then how will you save people if you can't transform?" argued the creature of ultimate destruction.
Adrien rolled his eyes. "It's the beach. We shouldn't actually need to save anyone. Lila's been quiet and my Father and Nathalie are doing fine. What is there to worry about?"
"Ah, but it's when its quiet that other dangers and evil villains decide to rise up and take the mantle when there's a power vacuum." Plagg shrugged and flew into the duffel bag. "But what do I know? I've only been around since the beginning of time."
Normally Plagg is pretty laid back. If his instinct is one of caution, maybe I should listen… Adrien grabbed his duffel bags (One for the cheese, one for his swim gear) and went out into the hallway. Leaving his bags in the foyer for his driver, he went to the back yard where the family pool was grabbed the pool ring buoy to bring with him. Even if he didn't need to transform into Cat Noir, if someone were in trouble, he'd be able to save them as Adrien. It doesn't hurt to be careful.
His driver took him to the train station where he met up with Marinette and the gang. Everyone but Lila, Chloe, and Sabrina was there. Lila, for obvious reasons had declined, and Chloe said her skin couldn't handle that much sun. She then subsequently restricted Sabrina from going and said they would be going to the club where the indoor pool and complimentary pool boys would see to their every need.
Nino waved when Adrien got there and Marinette and Alya giggled at something they were talking about between themselves. Adrien was so excited the night before that he almost couldn't sleep. He'd never been with Marinette to the beach, even in the fake Paris. It was a new chapter in their relationship story. After high-fiving Nino, he greeted Marinette with a kiss on the cheek and took hold of her hand. She blushed and smiled, looking away in embarrassment.
She's so cute. It was a little embarrassing for him to be so public with his affections, but he'd made himself a promise to take every moment they had showing Marinette how much she meant to him. He, out of everyone, knew their time was finite and he didn't want to take anything for granted. He hadn't told her about the other timeline and suspected he probably wasn't supposed to. "Are you ready to have some fun?" he asked.
"Absolutely," she grinned wider.
Over time, he'd noticed it was easier for Marinette to talk around him. He'd always played off her original reaction to him as her being one of his fans. Now that they were a couple, he wanted her to be comfortable around him no matter what. That being said, today was going to be a challenge, he already knew.
In his circles of modeling, he'd heard several of the female models he worked with speaking about bathing suits and how much thought went into what they wore. He knew Marinette would be beautiful in anything she wore. She had a sense in fashion that was innate and original. He wouldn't be surprised if she'd made her own bathing suit. He hadn't been lying or exaggerating when he'd said she had real talent in fashion design. In a few years, Adrien was sure she'd give his father a run for his money.
The group found seats on the train and while Marinette looked out the window, Adrien looked over at their hands still interlaced. He was happy with its simplicity. He wanted more moments like this.
"Adrien?"
He blinked out of his thoughts and turned to smile at Marinette. "What's up?"
She looked worriedly at him, "You were spacing out and I was wondering if you were picking up on something I wasn't?"
He smiled warmly and rested his forehead against hers. That's just like her. When things are quiet, she's waiting for something bad to happen. She's been guardian for so long and has had to keep up her defenses, that she can't allow herself to relax. "Nothing's wrong. Don't worry. I want you to relax today and have fun. You have me now, as a fellow guardian, you don't have to be on guard all the time. Let me take some of the burden from you, okay? As your boyfriend?"
Her cheeks tinted again, and he realized he liked making her react that way. She eventually nodded with a smile and rested her head on his shoulder. "Thank you, Adrien. I guess I am always on edge. I just always feel like I'm being watched. That the enemy wants to find a moment of weakness to destroy everything I love and hold dear."
He tightened his hold on her hand in reassurance. "We won't let that happen. We're stronger together."
Unknown POV
Unknown to Marinette, someone was watching them. Someone who knew exactly who she really was and who Adrien really was. They had been patient and carefully planning their moves. Today was just them testing the waters. To give Paris's favorite heroes a little push to see how they would react. The real battle wouldn't start for a little while…
Marinette POV
Adrien and Nino ditched their tops as soon as their feet hit the sand and Marinette thought her heart would beat out of her chest it was pounding so hard. I've seen him at school without his shirt on before. Why is it so hard to breath now that we're at the beach? She looked at the coastline and saw lots of couples playing in the water. One guy grabbed his girlfriend, picked her up, and threw her back into deeper water, making her squeal with surprise. Marinette's face heated up and she realized why she was so nervous. That's a lot of skin touching skin.
That thought reminded her that technically her and Adrien had been completely naked in each other's arms. Of course, back then, there had been more at stake. "Maybe I should keep all of my clothes on…"
"Oh no, you put way too much effort and thought into this," Alya grabbed her by the hand and went to the girl's bathroom. "We are doing this girl and Adrien is going to pass out from how good you look!"
"Alya!" Marinette struggled but looking over, it appeared Adrien hadn't heard her. Reluctantly, she went into the restroom…
Adrien POV
Adrien and Nino went to set up a tent in an open spot of beach while the girls changed. They were weighing down the poles with stakes when Nino elbowed Adrien and wiggled his eyebrow. "Are you looking forward to seeing Marinette in a swimsuit?"
Adrien's mouth fell open in shock. "Ugh, well I guess, but I'm sure she'll look fine."
Nino blew out air in a raspberry. "You don't get it man. Most of the time, girls have all that skin covered up. When they're at the beach though, everything's up for grabs! Haha, pun intended."
"W-what!?" Adrien missed the stake and hit his thumb. "Ow!"
Nino laughed. "Think about it. Girls wearing bathing suits is like…"
"You don't need to finish that sentence, Nino. Thanks, I got the picture." Adrien glared at him and sucked on his thumb.
"I'm just sayin' man. Alya's always more playful when she's wearing a bathing suit. You should have seen her the last time we went to the pool. Thighs, waist, it's all out there, dude."
The more he talked, the more Adrien's mind entered the gutter. Just then, the fates must have been laughing because Alya and Marinette returned and for Adrien, the world stood still. Marinette wore a cute little, white halter top that tied behind her neck and had pink flowers with black stems and leaves and a mere flap covering her stomach and lower back with two slits on her sides. Her bottom had the same color arrangement and had a flap in front and behind. When the wind blew, his eyes caught more skin and he instantly felt something dribble out of his nose.
"What?" Adrien checked his nose and saw that he had a nosebleed. When did that happen!?
Nino, however, offered him a tissue and gave him a knowing smirk. "Don't worry. It happens to the best of us."
Adrien, blushing with untold embarrassment, turned around to handle his…issue. When he was proper again, he turned back around praying Marinette hadn't seen such a reaction. Just what is wrong with me? He regarded Marinette anew and could see she was super self-conscious being before him. He came up to her and took hold of one of her hands before leaning in to whisper in her ear, "You have nothing to worry about. You look amazing."
She seemed to have heard him, but the close proximity of his now bare chest froze her head in its position. Getting an idea, he pointed to the center of her chest, just below her collarbone.
"Hey, what's that?" When she blinked and looked down, he ran his finger up her nose making her jump with a smile. When she finally met his eyes, he grinned at her. "Let's have some fun today, okay?"
"Okay."
The group started out by running to the water. They stayed in the shallows as they got used to the chill. They played with a ball and frisbee and Nino had brought. Alya insisted on pictures which they gladly took.
Adrien came up to her and winked. "Make sure to send me copies."
Alya winked back. "You got it."
They took a break and ate lunch, followed up by some volleyball. Alya and Nino played against Adrien and Marinette. While Alya and Nino had made plays with cooperation—being a couple longer than their competition—Adrien and Marinette won out with endurance. They could jump higher and hit harder from all of their time as Paris' finest.
Marinette and Adrien shared a high five. Normally Adrien was careful not to outshine those around him. He was always extra sensitive about causing those around him discomfort. He was good at a lot of things but wanted to enjoy sports and the like the same as everyone else. Here, he felt his competitive streak show up, and while Marinette was by his side, he took gentle pride in winning together.
"That was crazy!" Marinette giggled. "How do you all feel about cooling off in the water again?"
"Sure, sounds good," Alya agreed. "Before that though, Nino and I are going to go get some ice cream to bring back. You guys did win after all, so it'll be our treat."
"Thanks guys. That's really nice of you," Marinette beamed.
"Yeah, you guys get started without us and we'll come back to rejoin you." Nino waved and walked away with an arm around Alya's shoulders.
"Something tells me they're leaving to go get more than ice cream." Marinette narrowed her eyes at the two.
"Well, I'm not complaining. We could use some time along together, too." Before Marinette could ask him what he meant by that, Adrien reached over and quickly scooped up his girlfriend in his arms. She squealed and grabbed a hold of his neck on instinct, her cheeks a deep pink.
Adrien laughed to himself and easily ran with her in his arms towards the water. Once he was in the ocean to knee height, he dipped down with her at his side and threw her as far as he could into the deeper water. She went flying with a scream and splashed a few feet away. He laughed at her expense, but her retaliation came quicker than he was expected. She popped back up out of the water and tackled him down into the cold waves. They rolled and both came up laughing, still in each other's arms.
Marinette POV
Marinette splashed and dove under the water, completely enjoying her time with Adrien. When he caught her in the water and wrapped his arms around her waist, his warm skin made her shiver with pleasure, but she was trying her best to not let it show. Him being at ease with her in a bathing suit really helped her nerves. She was able to just have fun with him.
While they were playing, Marinette felt a wave flow from shore back out into the ocean. It pushed against her stomach and she frowned. When did it become deep enough for the water to reach my stomach? Looking around, she'd lost track of how far out she was. Adrien looked over at her in confusion just as another wave made her lose her footing on the sand floor.
A ringing from shore sounded and Marinette's eyes met Adrien's with growing fear. It was the riptide alarm. A riptide was a portion of shore that pulled more away from shore instead of crashing against it. Adrien understood the situation in an instant and immediately started to try and reach Marinette. Another wave and she could no longer touch the floor. "Adrien!"
"Hang on! I'm coming!"
Marinette knew how to swim but it was as if she'd forgotten. She felt an unusual wave of fear slam into her and her mind went blank. Panic set in and she started flailing her arms so that Adrien wouldn't lose sight of her. The seafloor must have dipped down because Marinette felt something latch onto her ankle a second before she was dragged under.
If she had been thinking, she could have transformed earlier—Tikki hanging out back in her purse at the tent, but unable to speak the incantation, she was helpless. This is it. I'm gonna drown.
Adrien POV
Adrien couldn't get any closer to her. Whatever water had wrapped around her to pull her away was nowhere to be found when he wanted to use it to close the distance between them. An idea came to mind and he looked around. "Plagg!" His little friend heard him and thankfully took a second to signal Tikki before both came over. They moved so fast that no normal person would be able to track them, even in broad daylight. "Plagg, claws out! Power up!" Then he quickly ducked beneath the waves, leaving a worried Tikki hovering over the waves.
His water suit enabled him to breath underwater, but it was so dark he couldn't see which surprised him because there should have been some light breaking through the surface. Nothing but darkness surrounded him.
I'm running out of time! He growled and swam around, trying to see any sign of Marinette in the swirling water around him. Suddenly something slammed into him. He gasped and looked around, but the blur was gone. Again, something came in at him from below on his right side, hit him, then ducked out again. He could've sworn he heard some kind of male laughter right before something bit his arm and spun him around. As quickly as it got him, it let go.
He cried out as an intense hopelessness penetrated and surrounded him. Marinette was here somewhere, drowning, and he couldn't see her. Couldn't save her. His blood in the water was going to attract sharks soon, complicated their problem. She's dying. She's gone. I can't save her… His emotions getting the better of him, he didn't even realize that as Cat Noir, he should have been able to see through the darkness. Something was interfering with his powers.
"Plagg, claws in." He undid his transformation and swam back up to the surface. He took a deep breath of air when he came up and Plagg coughed next to him.
"Don't ever undo a transformation when you're still underwater again! I can phase through anything, but I do not like getting wet!"
"Adrien, where is she!? Where's Marinette!?" Tikki demanded.
"I can't find her. She's going to drown. I'm so useless."
"Adrien!" It was Nino. He called out to his best friend and threw him the lifesaver that Adrien had thought to bring. Somehow his friends had been watching to try and find a way to help. "To your left! She's to your left!"
Adrien grabbed the string of the buoy and used it to keep track of where the surface was. The next big wave that blocked him from Nino's view, he said, "Plagg, claws out. Power up!" He dove beneath the surface again and this time he caught sight of her. She was almost unconscious and sinking fast. He easily swam over to her and once he had a hand around her waist, that thing returned and sliced behind his back.
Marinette grabbed his right hand and touched her fingernails to his palm, spreading them outwards. Catching her drift, he called out, "Cataclysm!" and shot out a ball of destructive energy into the center of an open space near them. The water was blasted away from the center of his attack and Marinette took that time to dive in.
Within the bubble, she took a deep breath and called out, "Tikki, spots on! Power up!" Tikki responded and was absorbed into the miraculous earrings. Once surrounded by her water suit, Marinette took shaky, bracing breathes.
Adrien came up and hugged her around the shoulders. "Milady, are you okay? What happened?"
"It took me a minute to figure it out. The riptide was pretty random but when I suddenly forgot how to swim and was simultaneously attacked beneath the water, I knew it had to be a supervillain."
"But how? Who's making them?"
"I'm not sure, but he's still here." She looked around and after a moment of not finding them, she took out her yoyo.
"Will that work underwater?"
She shook her head. "No, but I've got a plan." She hit the center button and her power of exorcism let out a bright beam of light that shone and cut through the water. Shining it around, she followed a small trail of bubbles and quickly found their adversary. "What is that!?"
The creature looked like a crocodile, but the coloring was wrong. Instead of green or black skin, it was spotted on the tips of its scales with a bright yellow. It moved so fast; it was next to impossible to track. All she was catching was the tail end. "Cat Noir, if he wants to bite, then let's give him something he can bite on!"
"I got it!" He unhooked his pole and with his cat-like eyes followed their enemy. Even while he was trying to time his strike, dark thoughts entered his psyche. A new villain, we don't even know his powers. We can win like this. We need to run. Yet with his Ladybug by his side, he tried to shake those feelings off and focus on what he could do. I can't do anything. I'm fooling myself into thinking I can.
"Cat Noir, now!"
Ladybug's voice shocked him into action and he extended his pole, catching the creature right between its jaws. At least, that's what it looked like. A second later, the creature twisted and let go, disappearing into the darkness.
"Looks like we're gonna need a little help. Lucky charm!" Spun her yoyo between her fingers and created an object out of thin air. It was a pair of headphones. She looked around and smiled when her eyes fell upon Cat Noir. "Here, these are for you."
Ladybug POV
She explained the plan to him while at the same time kept an eye open for their mystery attacker. "Think you can do it?"
"If it's your plan, I'm sure it'll work." Cat Noir put the headphones on while Ladybug swam around to hold onto his left hand. The timing would have to be perfect, so she anticipated ahead of time and squeeze his hand, giving him enough time to fire off a second cataclysm. This one was larger than the first. It created a sonic boom that disoriented their crocodile and sent them spinning away.
After a few minutes, when there were no more attacks, Ladybug took the headphones back. "I think the fight's over for now. Miraculous Ladybug!" Instantly, Cat Noir's expression changed after the ladybugs encircled him and healed his wounds. She could see his head cleared as well and he hugged Ladybug tenderly. "I about lost hope that I'd ever find you. I thought you'd drowned."
She hugged him back. "I know. We'll talk more but first, I don't know about you, but I'm about done with the water. Let's head back to shore."
"Okay."
Adrien POV
Alya and Nino immediately rushed the two as they came out of the water, hugging their respective best friends first, then switching targets as they hugged the other. Both shot off questions like crazy, but it was Adrien who held up a hand. "We're okay for now, but Marinette is really dehydrated, and I don't feel much better. Do you think you could get us some water?"
"Actually, more than water, I think I need to see one of the lifeguards." Marinette held up her hand which was shaking like a leaf. "Best to get checked out to make sure everything's okay."
"On it!" Both exclaimed and took off once more down the beach.
When they were out of immediately eyesight, Adrien and Marinette turned and clung to each other again with abandon. Marinette wept in clear distress now that the threat seemed to have been dealt with. "I was so scared, Adrien! I couldn't speak to transform, I couldn't swim, all I saw was darkness and I was sinking so slowly to my own death. I couldn't see you anywhere!"
"Shh, shh, I know. I'm so sorry! I tried to find you, but it was like all of the hope and light within me was sucked away. I was so lost and depressed. I didn't think I'd ever find you!" Adrien squeezed harder, feeling his girlfriend shake beneath his arms.
Marinette sniffed and pulled away a little. Tikki and Plagg both hid in her hair to prevent Nino and Alya from spotting them when they came back to shore. Now little Tikki petted her owner's cheek affectionately. "It was the power of a miraculous. I'm almost positive. However, I couldn't tell you which one."
"The power definitely effected emotions somewhat. Bravery was replaced with fear in Marinette, so much that she forgot how to swim, while hope was replaced with hopelessness and despair in Adrien," Plagg deduced.
"But none of our brothers or sisters have that ability," Tikki said.
"Sure, but our miraculous box isn't the only keeper of kwami, is it, Sugarcube?"
Marinette narrowed her eyes and tightened her hold on Adrien. "This wasn't a true fight. He was toying with us."
"I got that feeling, too." Adrien hugged her again and rubbed her back. "We'll go home and regroup. Think this through so the next time he strikes, we'll be in a better position to fight."
Marinette looked up into his eyes sadly. "But we just got through a supervillain. I don't know if I have it in me to take on another one. I wish they'd just leave us alone."
"I know but together, there's nothing we can't do and no villain we can't defeat. I believe that with every fiber of my being. So don't go giving up on us yet, okay?" He rubbed her nose with his and kissed it, making her smile.
"How is it you know exactly what to say to me at just the right time to make me feel like I can take on the world?" Marinette giggled. "Like you did the first time we took on Hawkmoth?"
Adrien shrugged. "Around you, the right words just come to me. Guess that's the benefit of being soul mates." This caused both of them to blush. I'm such a sap sometimes but for her, it's worth it.
Unknown POV
"Oh, that was too much fun!" A person, covered in shadow, spun around in an office chair before leaning back. "Honestly, I could've finished them both if I'd wanted to." He shook his head and use a tissue to check his ear again to see if the bleeding had stopped. "Of course, that little concussion blast he set off really messed with my head. One of the disadvantages of being part underwater creature I guess. Meh, it's whatever. This fight is only starting and it won't finish until I take everything away from him, including his miraculous!"
He tapped on his computer which showed surveillance footage of Lila speaking angrily to her mirror. "She's such a dope thinking that witch is ever going to reach out to her again. However, her personality is hardly one that I can overlook when it's going to be so easy to manipulate. Cat Noir has his Ladybug. This way I'll have a partner to ensure a complete and total victory!"
Marinette POV
Adrien insisted on giving Marinette a ride home with his bodyguard from the train station. He said he wanted just a few more minutes with her to make sure she was alright. When he walked her up to the steps of the bakery, he continued to hold onto her hand. "If you don't feel like you can sleep tonight, call me, okay? I'm here for you."
Marinette smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Adrien. I'm okay, now. It would have been nice to get a somewhat longer break between supervillains, but I suppose, this is what it means to be a hero, right?"
"But you're also a girl. A simple, amazing, and beautiful teenage girl and I'm going to remind you of that every second I can." He hugged her and she melted into his warmth.
"Maybe…maybe you could visit me for a little bit in black leather, with ears and a tail? I could snag a few macarons and take them up to the rooftop for a midnight snack tonight?"
Adrien tried to withhold his absolute excitement and enthusiasm at the suggestion but failed miserably when he practically bounced on the balls of his feet. He cleared his throat and looked away nonchalantly. "I think I could put in a good word with a close friend of mine to make that happen."
Marinette giggled and eventually let go to go into the house. She headed up to her room after announcing to her parents that she was home. They were watching a movie in the family room, so she let them be. She could give them a recap, minus certain details, tomorrow.
When she was back in her room, she watched as Tikki phased out of her bag into the open air. "Are you okay, Marinette?"
"Honestly? Not really, but how else should I be feeling? Hawkmoth, then Lila, then Etain. I know Bunnyx mentioned other villains I was going to be defeating but did I really have to fight them consecutively?"
"I know it's a lot, but I want you to know you're not alone. It's like Adrien said. You have a fellow guardian now, as well as the other kwami. We'll get past this the way we always have. Your perfect track record won't be broken by some nutball with fancy jewelry."
"It's not just some fancy jewelry, though, right? It's a miraculous," Marinette corrected. "Did you have a chance to think about which one it might be?"
"I did and the only one I can think of is Chima, he's a crocodile kwami. His power works similar to Reverser."
"Crocodile? But I've never seen one of those in the miraculous box or the book."
"Right because the book you have only pertains to your miraculous box," Tikki pointed out. "As you found out in New York, there are other miraculous boxes, other kwami. Remember Master Fu mentioned when he was training in Tibet, there were other miraculous boxes and guardians? I'm afraid something must have happened to the guardian in Africa. That's where Chima comes from."
Marinette took everything she was being told and slowly her eyes widened as she looked at her partner. "If Chima was compromised, what about the other kwami…?"
Tikki nodded sadly. "It's a very real possibility. I sincerely hope that's not the case. With Hawkmoth, he only came across two miraculous that he could corrupt. We may just be dealing with a single theft. Worst case scenario…"
"We're dealing with an entire box or stolen miraculous." Marinette felt her chest tighten and she grabbed her stomach as whatever was in it threatened to come out. "Tikki, Adrien and I were attacked in our civilian forms…"
Again, her kwami nodded. "Which means whoever you're going up against…knows exactly who you really are."
Cat Noir POV
When Cat Noir arrived at Marinette's rooftop, his girlfriend showed none of the distress she originally felt but when he looked closely, he saw her smile didn't reach her eyes. To her left, he saw the plate of promised macarons that begged his attention. Instead, he hugged her and could feel her tremble again, same as on the beach. It hurt him to his core. "Hey, what's wrong, gorgeous? Who do I have to beat up that would make such an angel like you cry?"
She gave a shaky laugh but didn't lift her head from his shoulder. "Sweet talker."
His ears drooped and his tail came up to wrap around her waist. "Are you still upset about earlier?"
She didn't answer at first. Instead, she just tightened her hold on him. "Let's…not talk about it right now, okay? Just for tonight, I want to forget about it all."
Adrien purred and after getting an idea, he picked her up and placed her down on her lounge chair. He knelt besides her and before she could ask him what he was doing, he planted a kiss on her lips. He immediately felt her body's tension relax. Cat Noir raised one clawed hand and caressed her cheek with unbelievable tenderness before reaching behind her head to deepen the kiss. He heard her moan and it caused him to shiver with pleasure.
He pulled away to give her a chance to breath before he ducked into her hair and began covering her neck in kisses.
"C-Cat Noir…w-what are you…?" her voice was breathy and rugged, and he found it gave him a new kind of thrill.
"You wanted to forget, right?" he purred and kissed her again, leaning her back completely against the lounge chair. Her hands came up and he was pleased when her hands kneaded the tight muscle hidden beneath the black leather of his arms. There was a spark of heat there that didn't escape him. He was a gentleman, of course, so he wouldn't do anything uncouth but as Cat Noir much of normal Adrien-like propriety went flying out by the wayside. "I must do as Milady wishes," he said as they broke, "Though you never said how you wanted to forget."
He may not always be able to ease her worries as Ladybug or as the guardian, but he could help in other ways. He would be there for her in whatever capacity she needed until they had a for sure target. Then he would make the person rue the day they'd tried to murder his beloved girlfriend and lady. Plagg's power of destruction was safer in his hands, but threaten Marinette and all bets were off. Cat Noir would cataclysm whatever he had to in order to protect her.
This isn't over…
