Summary: Chen Ge smiled. "Glad you asked. We're doing three AM challenges at my house, which is located in Jiujiang's New Century Park."

Chen Ge started the stream as he walked down the hallway of his house. He had decided to use the employee break room, as his room was too messy. "Hello. Welcome to my stream."

The number of people watching jumped up immediately. Messages started being spammed in the chat.

SpookyScarySkelet0ns: Boss Chen, what is it this time?

Purple Lavenders in the Field: O.O New live stream?

IAMGREATANDMIGHTY: NEW STREAM

Purple Lavenders in the Field: I realized who is hosting and have 110 dialed just in case…..

IAMGREATANDMIGHTY: NEW STREAM

SpookyScarySkelet0ns: Murder Mystery? Or another creepy short film?

IAMGREATANDMIGHTY: NEW STREAM

"Glad you asked." Chen Ge smiled. "We're doing three AM challenges at my house, which is located in Jiujiang's New Century Park." He would never pass up the chance to advertise.

IRegretChoosingForensicsAsMyMajor: Please tell me we aren't going to one of the scenarios...

ProudAlcoholic: O.o

Mr. Fool: Good afternoon, Host.

Chen Ge chuckled. "Don't worry. We're going to be in here most of the time." He unlocked the break room and stepped inside.

He set his phone on the table and sat down. "Okay. The chat is going to decide which challenge I do first. Bloody Mary or Playing Cards. I'll do the one that's chosen first, and the unchosen one last."

Little Sun: !

Diamond in the Rough: ! Host, do Bloody Mary!

Little Sun: Upstairs is right!

SpookyScarySkelet0ns: Upstairs is right! Bloody Mary!

IRegretChoosingForensicsAsMyMajor: *crying*

Proud Alcoholic: Bloody Mary!

Chen Ge raised his eyebrows at the flood of comments. "Bloody Mary it is then. I'll have to move to the bathroom." He rummaged through the junk cabinet and came up with a red candle and a lighter. "For those who don't know, you need a candle to play Bloody Mary."

Purple Lavenders in the Field: I'm getting flashbacks to Host's first video

Diamond in the Rough: Is this going to be another video like the mirror or bathroom one?

Better Luck Next Time: Just joined.

Chen Ge pulled out Xu Yin's tape recorder and the Pen Spirit, and slipped them in his pocket. He wasn't sure whether these things would work, but he wanted to take proper precautions.

Better Luck Next Time: What's going on?

ProudAlcoholic: Lighting a candle for the host :p

Purple Mage: Lighting a candle for the host + 1

Chen Ge rolled his eyes at the chat and ignored them as he lit the candle. He entered the bathroom and set it on the sink.

IAMGREATANDMIGHTY: Host is doing Bloody Mary

Purple Lavenders in the Field: Lighting a candle for the host +18

Better Luck Next Time: Thanks for the explanation :D

Diamond in the Rough: Lighting a candle for the host +19

Chen Ge stared at the mirror. He had gotten a new one, after his last two had broken under...unfortunate circumstances. "Bloody Mary. Bloody Mary."

He frowned. The temperature was dropping. "Bloody Mary."

Chen Ge waited for a moment then began to turn around three times while calling out, "Bloody Mary."

A drop of blood appeared on the mirror. In the mirror, the outline of a woman appeared. She reached towards the veil covering her face.

The shadows in the bathroom darkened and the room plunged into even more freezing temperatures.

The tape recorder in Chen He's pocket started to quietly play a tape. If one listened closely they might be able to hear the whisper that said, "I will hurt you."

The woman in the mirror stopped moving, hesitating at the presence of two entities more powerful than herself. She spotted the candle flickering on the sink despite the lack of wind; when the candle went out, the room would be plunged into complete darkness. She decided not to risk it, and immediately escaped.

Chen Ge stopped turning around and looked at the mirror. He saw nothing and sighed in faked disappointment. Xu Yin and Zhang Ya had scared off the ghost he called, but it seemed this ritual did work. He would try it again later.

"Unfortunately, I didn't get any response. As I go back to the break room, I'll tell you about the next game." Chen Ge quickly scrolled through the chat messages for the past five or so minutes.

Diamond in the Rough: Uhh….Host?

Purple Lavenders in the Field: Host?

Purple Lavenders in the Field: Host?

Wall Fl0wer: I'm scared...

Diamond in the Rough: Did anyone else see a drop of blood on the mirror?

Purple Mage: Why is the candle flickering like that?

Better Luck Next Time: There's no wind? Why did the candle look like it was about to go out

IAMGREATANDMIGHTY: HOST THERE WAS SOMETHING IN THE MIRROR BEHIND YOU

Purple Lavender in the Field: Boss Chen, be careful!

IAMGREATANDMIGHTY: HOST THERE WAS SOMETHING IN THE MIRROR BEHIND YOU

IAMGREATANDMIGHTY: HOST THERE WAS SOMETHING IN THE MIRROR BEHIND YOU

I can't believe it's not oats: Ghost spotted? O.o

IAMGREATANDMIGHTY: HOST THERE WAS SOMETHING IN THE MIRROR BEHIND YOU

Little Sun: Was that actually Bloody Mary?

Mr. Fool: Hm. She disappeared.

Everydayiwakeup: She's gone now!

willingtostaneverymalegod: T_T I almost feared for Host's life

Sensible to a Fault: I doubt my eyes right now.

xxxFanaticalFanaticxxx: That was definitely Bloody Mary omg

Chen Ge didn't reply to anything that the chat said, pretending not to have seen the messages. However, he did make a mental note that he should clean the mirror before going to sleep. He sat down at the table in the break room again. "The next thing I'll be doing is calling some haunted and strange numbers."

There was a scratching sound at the door.

willingtostaneverymalegod: O.o

xxxFanaticalFanaticxxx: No

Sensible to a Fault: Why does this feel like a horror movie…..

xxxFanaticalFanaticxxx: Nooo

I can't believe its not oats: Host, don't open the door plz T_T

Chen Ge opened the door and looked down to see his cat. He let White Tiger in, then closed the door again. White Tiger followed after her owner and when Chen Ge sat down, his cat jumped onto his lap and curled up.

He glanced at his chat, most of them were cooing over White Tiger. Some people asked about the cat's name and gender, and how long Chen Ge had owned her.

Chen Ge gently tapped White Tiger's pink nose.

The cat blinked at the finger, then meowed at him in protest.

Chen Ge smiled. "White Tiger is a girl. I found her on the streets….two or three years ago. Some kids were harassing her and her kittens. Unfortunately, all of her kittens had died. I decided to take her in."

TraumatizedByMonocles: T_T whhyyyyy

ProudAlcoholic: Betrayed by the Host. #feels

Purple Lavender in the Field: Host...that's so sad

Diamond in the Rough: I'm legit crying rn

ProudAlcoholic: Betrayed by the Host. #feels

mygradepointaverageis0: glad you took Little Tiger in Boss T_T

ProudAlcoholic: Betrayed by the Host. #feels

Mushr00msrScary: Ugghhhh T_T My HEART

Don'tMindMe: Why is this so sad? I came for scares, not feels

Chen Ge chuckled. He pet White Tiger's back as he looked up numbers to call. He found one that looked promising and called it. He changed the volume to speaker phone so that the stream could hear the call.

He heard static.

No one picked up.

He ended the phone call. "Nothing," Chen Ge announced with visible disappointment. "Let's try another."

The call connected.

Chen Ge waited for a moment. "Hello?"

An elderly man spoke in Chinese, with a Japanese accent. "You have reached the phone of Mr. Sato. Please leave a message after the beep."

Chen Ge ended the call.

ProudAlcoholic: #sadness

Uncle Cookie: Nothing still?

mygradepointaverageis0: upstairs, at least host isn't faking

ProudAlcoholic: #sadness

Wall Fl0wer: I'm too anxious that someone will pick up….

I3Monocles: Host, you should try this number X-XXX-XXX-XXXX It's said to be really scary

Wall Fl0wer: I shouldn't watch three am challenges at three am

Chen Ge was about to look up another number but he looked back at the chat. "My thanks to I love Monocles. I'll try their number."

The number seemed familiar to him for some reason. He might have seen it while investigating some of the rituals, so he was open to calling it.

The other person picked up. He sounded cold as ice as he questioned, "Chen Ge? What is it?"

Chen Ge relaxed at the voice he heard. He laughed. "Sorry, Zhang Wenyu. I called you by accident." He had put the number in correctly, but it turned out to be his friend. He couldn't just say that he was familiar with a ghost or something to explain how Zhang Wenyu greeted him. "How are you doing? Actually, nevermind, I should just let you get back to sleep."

"It's fine. I'm doing well." Zhang Wenyu paused. There was a hint of suspicion and concern in his voice. "Are you sure it is really nothing?'

"Yes, really," Chen Ge assured. "I'm livestreaming calling some weird numbers and I must have accidentally hit the autocomplete for yours when I was typing one in."

"Ah. I see. Well, have a good night."

"Thanks. You too." Chen Ge hung up and looked up another number. He ignored the chat, where one or two people had noticed that he didn't try calling the number given by I3Monocles again.

"Hello?"

The call didn't connect.

"It didn't work," Chen Ge informed his viewers.

The door knob to the breakroom turned.

Unrepentant AWS Hans Stan: Place your bets now.

xxxFanaticalFanaticxxx: O.O/ I'm ready with a stick

Unrepentant AWS Hans Stan: Killer? Ghost kid? A second cat?

Chen Ge stiffened. He had a moment of regret over leaving his hammer in his backpack. Instead, he wrapped his fingers around the broken and taped together pen in his pocket.

The door opened...and a young teenager walked in. Fan Yu muttered a tired, "Hi," and continued towards the microwave in the corner.

"Why are you up so late?" Chen Ge asked, concerned. He wasn't sure if it was nightmares or just teenage rebellion. However, the latter seemed rather unlikely for Fan Yu.

"I'm hungry," Fan Yu simply stated. He pulled out instant ramen and a ceramic bowl. The teenager went over to the sink and filled up the ceramic bowl, then stuck everything in the microwave. He didn't have enough energy to make anything more taxing than instant ramen.

Chen Ge nodded. That seemed about right. "Go to sleep after you eat then," he reminded. He waited until Fan Yu nodded, then went back to finding a fifth and final number. "One more, then we'll move on," he informed his chat.

He called a fifth number, but it went to voicemail again. "Alright, we're going to do a game called Playing Cards now."

"Do you want any ramen?" Fan Yu asked. He pulled out his bowl and grabbed a spoon, before sitting at the table.

"I'm fine, but thanks." Chen Ge was reading over the rules for Playing Cards, just to check he was going to do things correctly. "First, we have a deck of playing cards." He pulled out a deck and put it on the table. "We can have more players for this game, so I'll message my friend and see if Xu Yin wants to join in." He pretended to message someone and waited for a moment. The recorder in his pocket started playing, and he heard a whispered, "Yes". "Yeah, he's awake. His room is down the hallway, so he should be here in a minute."

Chen Ge talked with Fan Yu and the chat; the chat kept calling Fan Yu a 'pure goth child'. The tape recorder in his pocket started playing louder, although there was only static now.

The door opened and closed. Xu Yin hadn't entered through the door, but he opened and closed it to make the appropriate sounds so that it would seem like he did. He wore a red shirt and had messy black hair.

"Xu Yin, good to see you," Chen Ge warmly greeted. "You can spectate, or you can participate if you want."

Xu Yin nodded, but didn't verbally reply. He sat next to Fan Yu, opposite Chen Ge.

Chen Ge took no offense; he knew that speaking took a lot of effort for Xu Yin. He was used to this friend of his.

willingtostaneverymalegod: Who is this? #simping

Wall Fl0wer: #simping +1

SpookyScarySkelet0ns: Isn't that the male lead from the horror short?

Better Luck Next Time: #simping +2

SpookyScarySkelet0ns: Host called him Xu Yin, yeah?

Purple Lavender in the Field: Upstairs, you're right

Chen Ge huffed in amusement at the chat response. "They like you. Mind waving for the chat, Xu Yin?"

Xu Yin shyly waved at the camera.

Brudder19: Ahh...he's cute

xxxFanaticalFanaticxxx: Pure bean

mygradepointaverageis0: #simping +39

TraumatizedByMonocles: He's shy lol

Chen Ge read the instructions he had to the chat. "To play this game you need: a standard deck of 52 playing cards with the jokers removed, salt, a candle, a lighter, and a dark quiet room." He already had the candle and lighter he had found to play Bloody Mary, so he set them on the table beside the deck of cards. There were salt and pepper shakers on the table, so he simply moved the salt shaker into the cluster of objects for the game.

Fan Yu finished his instant ramen, and got up. He threw the plastic bowl into the trash can and waved goodbye before leaving to go to sleep.

"We're going to invite the spirits to talk to us. The cards will tell us what the response to our invitation and questions are." Chen Ge turned off the light, and used his bright phone screen to make his way back to the table. "If you get a heart, 'yes'. If you get a spade, 'no'. If you get a club, 'I don't know'. If you get a diamond, 'maybe'. Ready?" He saw a flood of thumbs up and ok signs. "Good. Let's start then." He set his phone on the table and adjusted his camera to show the cards. Chen Ge lit the candle, and then glanced at the chat once more before he started.

Purple Lavender in the Field: Wow, you all simp over new guy

Purple Lavender in the Field: but miss that Host is also cute smh

Better Luck Next Time: Upstairs is right. Host is cute

Wall Fl0wer: Host is cute +1

willingtostaneverymalegod: Host is cute + 2

mygradepointaverageis0: host is cute + 3

Chen Ge felt the room grow cold as he read the messages.

A woman with black hair and a red dress was suddenly sitting at the table, next to Chen Ge. She had placed her hand over his.

"Hello Zhang Ya," Chen Ge greeted, unruffled by the ghost's appearance. He held her hand, not caring that her pale fingers were cold as ice, and the contact seemed to leech away his warmth. He smiled at her. "Everyone, this is my fiance. Zhang Ya, do you want to play with us?"

Zhang Ya nodded. There was a soft expression on her face, along with a slight blush.

Better Luck Next Time: New CP o.o

Purple Lavender in the Field: Yeah...I ship it

mygradepointaverageis0: sunshine man x dark lady

xxxFanaticalFanaticxxx: Most goth couple

Brudder19: Haunted house owner x goth lady? Valid

Mushr00msrScary: What can we call this cp, ideas?

Chen Ge sprinkled salt on the cards. He shuffled through the cards. "Okay, now both of you need to shuffle the cards too." He put the deck on the table and Zhang Ya picked them up. The man waited for the two ghosts to shuffle, then dealt eighteen cards out into the center. Chen Ge arrayed them into three columns and three rows, with each place having two cards.

Chen Ge was curious as to how playing with two ghosts would affect things. "Are the spirits willing to speak to us tonight?" He hovered his hand over each pile, waiting to feel heat emanating from one of the cards. He felt warmth underneath his palm and turned it over.

The card was a diamond which meant the reply was a 'maybe'.

Chen Ge dealt another card to replace the one he picked, then glanced at the chat. "Do you live here?" He flipped a card. It was a spade, a 'no'.

It was Xu Yin's turn next. He decided to play it safe. "Will the next movie be successful?" He whispered. He picked a card.

It was a club, therefore it means 'I don't know'.

"Am I going to marry soon?" Zhang Ya asked. She picked a heart, 'yes'. She smiled, satisfied with the answer.

It was a heart, a 'yes'.

mygradepointaverageis0: O.O :D

xxxFanaticalFanaticxxx: So….how long until the wedding?

Chen Ge shook his head at their excited spectators, but he still had a smile on his face. He was glad that the chat seemed to have jumped onboard with his and Zhang Ya's relationship, instead of causing trouble. He skimmed through the chat and found an okay question. "Will I die of natural causes?" He had picked a spade, 'no'. Chen Ge did not look disturbed at this response, but his stream was freaking out.

Xu Yin hesitated, then questioned, "Will I have a good day tomorrow?" He picked a heart, 'yes'.

Zhang Ya hovered her hand over the cards. She wasn't sure what to ask, so she casually said, "Will I star in the next movie short?" She flipped the card over and got a club.

Chen Ge bluntly said, "Will I die soon?" He waited for heat underneath his palm for a while. His palm started burning and he turned over the card to reveal a heart. "Huh. Well, Xu Yin, your turn."

A/N

110 is the Chinese version of 911 basically

CP is couple. Just think of it as another word for ship.

There's a few Lord of the Mysteries and Trash of the Count's Family references in the usernames.

I remembered about this oneshot and decided to post it.
