The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)

2 Days Later...

Aimee inhaled and slowly exhaled trying to remain as calm and relaxed as possible. If there was one thing she still had a hard time with; it was flying. That was a huge part of the reason why she didn't travel so much. It made her very nervous and it didn't help that she forgot to bring her melatonin with her. That way, she could've slept for at least half the eight hour plane ride.

"Why the hell did they just have to give me a window seat!? I doubt it was the only last minute open seat available." Aimee muttered, clearly annoyed.

"You could always watch another movie to keep you distracted. They have some good new releases in their selection." The old man sitting next to her said.

She turned her attention from the window to him.

"Because, when I did watch one movie earlier; it had a nasty plane crash featured in it. Which didn't help the situation at all." Aimee replied.

He shrugs his shoulders, "It's all fake movie graphics. Doesn't mean it's going to happen here. You have much better luck at getting into a car accident than a plane crash."

That hit a little too close to home for the young woman. Seeing as that's how both her parents died, when she was only eight years old. But Aimee knew the older gentleman was right. If you go by statistics; way more people do die in cars than on planes. Shit, more people die on the ground; period. So in a way, it was sort of a relief.

"Yeah, guess that's true. Plus, it helps that we are over water. Because we always have life jackets and boats. And I've always fared much better on a boat than in a plane. I also happen to be a pretty damn good navigator. I've learned from the best from a good friend back at home. Who happens to be a sea captain. He taught me how anything can become handy when you find yourself off route on the seas and what to look for." She stated.

The older man nodded, "Sounds like he is very sea worthy and has been doing it for a very long time."

"Well, his own Dad brought him out on his boat plenty of times since he was three. And Kaleo is now forty-three. So he's literally been on the sea all his life. He comes from a family of fishermen and navigators." She explained.

He smiled, "Sounds like you may also be rather sweet on him."

Aimee let out an awkward laugh, "Nah, we're really just friends. He was one of the first friends I've ever made when I moved myself out to Hawaii. He already has a family too. His Wife Leilani, is a real sweetheart, and the kids are great. They all also happen to be one of my neighbors." A funny look appeared on her face. "They both also try to play matchmaker with me. Informing me of some available guys back home that I would be interested in. Or so they say. But the last couple guys they tried to set me up with..."

She visibly shivered at that part. Which made the older man laugh.

"Yeah, even though they we have best friends. There are just some things they really should stay out of. Like you're love life. I was in a similar boat a very long time ago, before I met my wife. My best friend, Pete; he tried hooking me up with a few girls. And most of them were nice. But at the same time, they said and did things that were definitely cringe worthy." He added.

Turns out, talking to the older man; whom she learned is named Marcus, was a good distraction. It seemed like during those several hours, he pretty much told her his whole life story. How he met his Wife. About the four kids they had together. Plus, eleven grandkids, and apparently a twelfth one on the way.

It was a very pleasant conversation and Aimee could see how he spoke about his family; he truly loved them all. Yet, at the same time, it made her feel a sense of loneliness. After all, most of her friends and cousins were already married and popping out kids. Whereas; she was still very much a thirty-one year old loner. Who hasn't been in a relationship in close to five years now.

'At the rate I'm going; I may as well be the cat lady down the street. Or in my case; dogs. Seeing as I'm not too fond of cats and more of a dog person.' She thought to herself.

A few hours later; South City International...

Aimee exited the plane with a smile. The flight thankfully; went much more smoothly than she thought it would. That and she had great company during the flight.

She was drawn out of her revelry, when she felt a large heavy hand on her shoulder. Aimee looked over to see it was Marcus. He had a fatherly smile on his face.

"It was a pleasure talking with you, Aimee. And I hope you have a pleasant stay while you're here." He said.

She smiled back, "Yeah, you too. And thanks for keeping me distracted during the plane ride."

"That's the whole trick for us fearful fliers." He said with a wink.

Aimee's smile grew bigger at the remark. She would've never have guessed, that this man; who fought in wars when he was young. Was also afraid to fly. He certainly was good at hiding it; that's for sure.

"I can believe it." She replied.

They bid each other farewell. Before they went their separate ways.

Aimee grabbed her luggage and headed for the exit. She fished out her phone and checked for any new messages.

-'Hey, Hun. Sorry, but I got a bit tied up at home. But don't worry, I called ChiChi, and she said she was more than happy to pick you up. She will be at the pick up gate when you get there.'

That's understandable, when you're not only the richest person in the world. But also one of the busiest. Aimee still finds it amazing that she can juggle her work and two kids. Especially, since it seems like her Husband doesn't seem very helpful when it comes to the kids. Always going off to train and all.

She texted Bulma back on the way out.

-'It's cool, I'll see ya later!'

Aimee went through the doors and looked around. She didn't see ChiChi at first. Then she saw someone jumping up and down, waving their hands, off to her left. She smiled, when she noticed it was Goten. He may have been a toddler, the last she saw him and that was on a Zoom Call. But that hair and whimsical smile was a huge giveaway. A total spitting image of his Dad.

ChiChi popped out from the small crowd behind him. She too, smiled and waved. Aimee wasted no more time and went over to the pair. She greeted them both with a huge.

"Hey, guys. It's great to see you again." Aimee said, as she pulled back from the hug.

"It's great to see you too, Sweetie. How was you're flight?" ChiChi asked.

"It surprisingly went very smoothly. I managed to not make a break for the bathroom and puke. Like I did, during my last flight to the Poconos." She joked.

Goten tilted his head in confusion.

"Why would you puke?" He asked.

Aimee ruffled his hair, "Because, I'm afraid to fly. It makes me very nervous. I always worry we'll crash."

He blinked a few times, "Really? I can understand if someone is carrying you while they fly maybe a little scary. But you're safe and secure in a plane. So how's it really all that scary?"

ChiChi shakes her head with a small smile. Goten and his one-hundred questions. It's always been that way with him.

"Because Goten, it is an innate fear that some people cannot just get over. No matter how safe and secure something maybe." His Mom replied.

"Yes, exactly. Perhaps, one day I will try and get over this fear. Which has become more of a nuisance for me more than anything. Because it's really limiting my options on traveling. And traveling is something that I really would like to eventually do more of in the future." Aimee added.

The dark haired youth seemed satisfied with both their answers. ChiChi started leading her towards her parked car. Goten helped Aimee load her luggage into the trunk, before they hopped in.

It was going to be a good twenty-minute drive or so.

"Was Bulma able to contact you and tell you she got hung up earlier?" ChiChi asked.

Aimee nodded, "Yeah, and it's totally fine. Running the business she runs while taking care of two kids. I don't know how she does it. But I admire her for it."

ChiChi gave her a knowing smirk, "Especially, when you're kids are part saiyan. And you're practically the richest woman in the world."

"You handle extremely well too though, ChiChi." The younger woman said.

ChiChi snorted and rolled her eyes slightly.

"Well, Goku is almost always off training. Though, I cannot say I'm not use to it. He's only been doing it since our eldest son Gohan was little. Still, there are times I wish he would spend a little more time with his family. Even more so now that he's a Grandfather." She said.

That's right! Gohan is a Dad now! How times have changed. Aimee still remembers when he was a young kid. She could almost barely wrap her head around the fact that he defeated that psychotic android; Cell as a kid. That's when she learned never to underestimate the power of a saiyan after that. It's crazy enough that they are aliens, that so happen to look a lot like humans. But this outrageous strength of theirs; was even more intense to process.

"And how is Gohan adjusting to Fatherhood?" She asks.

ChiChi gives her a megawatt smile.

"Oh! He's handling it like a pro! And Videl is an excellent Mom too! They've been over the moon, since they became parents. Pan is such a beautiful and happy baby." The older woman gushed, as she talked about her Granddaughter.

Aimee smiled back, "She certainly adorable, from what I've seen in the pics. She looks a lot like Gohan too."

"Yeah, and in many ways; she's a lot like he was as a baby. I swear, it's like a blast from the past every time I see her. I mean, it still feels like yesterday; since I was changing Gohan's diapers. And now he's a Father!" ChiChi stated.

"Goku must've been excited too. It's still hard to believe you guys are Grandparents. Because it also feels like yesterday, when Gohan was just a kid. Plus, you two still are and still look very young for you're ages. I doubt anyone who gave you and Goku a second glance, would've thought you two as Grandparents." Aimee replied.

ChiChi blushed slightly and waved her hand.

"You're too kind, Aimee. But even I seem to have noticed a couple tiny wrinkles starting to settle in around my face. Though, I blame Goku for that. With everything this world has been through and him always fighting off the threats, I'm surprised I don't have a full head of grey hair yet." She admitted.

The young woman in the passenger seat chuckled a little at that remark. Yeah, when you're Husband is in every sense of the word; a Super Hero. Then of course it would make anyone's family a worried mess.

"Well, it must put you're mind at ease then, that there haven't been any global threats as of late." Aimee said.

"Somewhat, that whole debacle with that Tournament of Power and that other crazy saiyan; was really not all that long ago. It's really only been around three months since that fight in Antarctica with the renegade saiyan Frieza brought to Earth. I can't help but feel it's only a matter of time, before we face the next threat. Whatever it may be. Either that or it happened so much in the past that I'm almost always anticipating it now." ChiChi explained.

They switched topics along the way. Aimee told ChiChi what she has been up to lately and about her latest books. That's when Goten piped in and told the young writer that he has a few of her books and he thoroughly enjoys them. Of course, she was quite flattered, but surprised a child his age was reading books that were mainly for kids fourteen years and older.

She figured ChiChi may have had a hand in that. Aimee knew that high education was very important to the older woman. She never wanted anything less than the best education for both of her sons. So maybe it isn't all that surprising that Goten is reading at grade school level.

As they drew closer to their destination, Aimee brought up another topic at hand.

"Hey, if Bulma is very busy right now. You think maybe I should go and see her later at a better time?" She asks.

ChiChi shrugs, "We can always call her and see what the update is. Or if you want, I bring you to my place. Dad is currently there and I'm sure he'd be happy to see you. He'd probably want to know how you're Grandparents are doing, seeing as the became close over the years. You may even catch Goku. Because, I honestly never know anymore when he may just pop in."

"That be great, Thanks ChiChi." Aimee replied.

"Oh! Oh! And I can show you some of my favorite spots in the woods where Trunks and I like to play!" Goten said, with excitement.

Aimee chuckled at his enthusiasm.

"Yeah, I'd like that; Goten. I love the outdoors and I really enjoy the woods. You know, my Grandparents live near a heavily wooded area. I use to go out there a lot as a kid to play too. I especially enjoyed camping out there with my friends. It was fun, setting up a fire, and roasting hotdogs over the flames. Then have s'mores later for dessert." She explained.

"Awesome! That does sound like a lot of fun. I only went ever went fishing a couple times with Dad and Gohan. Eventually, I'd like to try and get them to go camping. There are plenty of great spots to set up camp." He paused for a moment, and leaned in to whisper in Aimee's ear. "There are also some pretty cool caves that Trunks and I found a while back that we can explore."

ChiChi almost slammed on the breaks at hearing bits of that last remark. She gave him a slight glare in the rearview mirror.

"You better not have, Goten. You know I don't like you going in caves. They are too dangerous and there could be large and dangerous beasts living in them. Plus, some of them are so large, you could end up getting lost." His Mom lectured.

The youngster had a somber look on his face after being scolded. Aimee looked over her shoulder at him with a reassuring smile.

"It's all good, Goten. I'd be just as thrilled to see some of you're favorite spots. Maybe even see some good trails that go through the woods. I understand that there are plenty of good ones around the base of Mt. Pouzu. Maybe we can explore those." She said, trying to cheer him up.

It must've did the trick, because the sad look on his face was replaced with a bright smile.

"Ok! I've seen most of them already. But that doesn't make them any less fun. I'll just show you the best ones." He explained.

Before long, they have made it to the Son Residence. Aimee was surprised at seeing the brand new house that they now live in. 'Damn, there really is going to be a hell of a lot more catching up to do while I'm here. Good thing I'll be sticking around for a while. It be great to see everyone again. And I could always try to do some writing while here too. A change of scenery may help with it.'

They were greeted at the door by ChiChi's Dad. Who was excited to see Some of his oldest friend's Granddaughter again. Aimee blushed when he told her how much she has grown. Seeing as he's known her since she was a kid herself.

They took the rest of the conversation inside. Where Aimee was nice enough to get her Grandparents on the phone, so they can talk with the old Ox King and his family. ChiChi found it amusing, seeing how excited her Dad became at being able to talk with his old friends again. They have always tried to stay in touch over the years. But everyone has always been just so busy. Her Grandparents only retired a short few years prior.

It was nice, that this visit was turning out to be a great idea. It reminded Aimee on how much she missed all her friends here. It made her even more determined to come and visit more often. She already couldn't wait to meet up with the rest of the gang.

Sorry, if it seems like a slow start. But I don't necessarily like to rush into a story either. At least, not without building it up a little more first. Frieza should be making an appearance soon in future chapters. Until Next Time ;)
