The next chapter is posted! Enjoy :)
"Wow, sounds like your Dad was pretty pissed about that." Aimee said.
If there is one thing, she wouldn't have pegged the Evil Emperor as a mischievous one in his youth. But from some of the stories he told her, he was quite the handful.
"Naturally. I did wreck a good portion of the palace with that little stunt. Ironically, it was Father's Study and the Banquet Hall that got the worst damage. Which were two of his favorite rooms in the entire palace. It was the first and last time he allowed me to practice some of my ki blast techniques that close to the palace. Safe to say, he wasn't a huge fan of the death blaster move.
Cooler didn't speak to me for the next several weeks after that. Because I also caused some damage to his quarters as well. And Mother made me do a lot of chores in the coming weeks as punishment. It certainly surprised me, because she wasn't one who punished us very often. I figured she was just angry, because I disobeyed her. She was always telling me not to train so close to the palace walls and that time; I didn't listen." Frieza stated.
"And here I thought I had some chaotic childhood stories, but that one definitely takes the cake." She replied.
He smirked at her, "Oh, and which stories are these? I have yet to hear them."
Aimee shrugs, "Like I said, nothing that extreme. That's for sure."
"Doesn't mean I wouldn't like to hear them though." The tyrant repeated.
She sighs, there were so many silly stories and memories. Though, there were a few that did stuck out the most. Aimee adjusted her position on the chair. Yes, he finally let her have her own seat. Instead of having her on his lap like he always did in the past. He could tell it made her day. But he was a little disappointed at the change in pace. He liked keeping her close, but lately he's been giving her some more free range.
She smiled and let out a little chuckle at the old memory that popped up in her head.
"It's no secret, I was a bit of a terror as a little kid. Especially, as a toddler. Once, when I was around two and half to three years old I recall a time we were visiting my Grandparents House. Mom and Dad were chatting it up in the living room. I got bored and decided to go bug Grandpa. Who was doing some last minute work on his computer in their bedroom.
The door was locked and I thought it be a good idea; to go run up and bang on the door and yell, than run away before the door opened. I must've did it a few times before he finally opened the door. I figured I could hang out in the living room with everyone else like nothing ever happened. But he knew better. Grandpa walked right up to me, pulled out my hand, then pulled out his partial dentures, and placed them in my hand.
Of course for any toddler who didn't know any better, I freaked out that he just put his teeth in my hand and started screaming in horror. Most Grandparents would've gotten mad and scolded their Grandkids for being bratty. But Grandpa figured he'd just even the score with that little stunt instead. Grandma lectured and nagged him about it afterwards for the rest of the visit. While my parents just gave me a disapproving look and asked if I learned my lesson. Because they knew what I was doing and had asked me to stop a couple of times. But I was just being a brat and didn't listen." Aimee said.
Frieza was chuckling halfway through her little story. Especially, the part where she mentioned he put his false teeth in her hand.
"I'd say you definitely deserved that impromptu scare. My Grandparents were long gone by the time I came along. But if I pulled something like that on my Father, I'd get a thrashing for it." He said.
"It definitely sounds like your Dad wasn't a very nice man." She stated.
The tyrant snorts, "That's putting it lightly. He was a real ornery bastard, bloated with self importance."
Aimee tilted her head to the side slightly.
"And your Mom, what was she like?" She asked.
The Galactic Emperor went dead silent and Aimee thought she had said something wrong. Perhaps, his Mom was a sore subject.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."
"It's alright. It's just...it's been a very long time since my Mother was ever mentioned. Probably because she has been dead since I was a small child." He said.
"Sorry to hear that. And I'm still sorry for bringing her up." Aimee said.
Frieza opened his mouth to speak, but the sliding doors to the room opened, and Kikono walked in. He wasn't alone either, a small group of people walked in behind him. With Berryblue trailing behind the group on the way in.
"My Lord, sorry for the interruption. But Shar is here." Kikono said.
The man known as 'Shar' stopped and bowed his head in greeting. The rest of his group followed and did the same. Frieza hopped out of his hover chair and approached them.
"Well, you have arrived much earlier than expected." Frieza said, when he came to a stop in front of the larger man.
"Forgive us for showing up on such short notice, Lord Frieza. But it was imperative that we speak to you right away about the latest shipments." Shar said.
"Go on." The tyrant replied.
"Some of the new weapons you have asked for, well it turned out to be a much bigger predicament to get ahold of them then we thought. We were eventually able to obtain a cargo full of them. But in doing so, I lost some of my best men. Ones that were irreplaceable. Because of this, our payment we request for the retrieval of such weapons has gone up." He explained.
Frieza rubs his chin, "I see, normally I'd say you get what was initially offered to you. But these new and improved pulse weapons are important for my men. And I'm aware that it would be a risky mission. So, what's the price?"
The bulky alien man caught movement out of the corner of his eye. His attention was then directed towards the young human woman, still sitting down the end of the long table.
"Well? Out with it. What is your price?" Frieza repeated.
Shar pointed a fat, grubby finger at Aimee.
"I say, what species is she?" He asks.
The tyrant redirects his attention back at Aimee. Who watched the exchange silently from her seat. Then Frieza turned back to the large alien man in front of him.
"A human." He replied.
Shar's eyes widened in interest.
"Human? Like those inhabitants from the planet called Earth in the Northern Quadrant?" He asks.
Frieza's not sure he likes where this conversation is going.
"Yes, what of it?" He asked.
"She has quite an exotic appearance." Shar replied. Before turning his attention back to the Galactic Emperor. "I do believe she will compensate nicely for payment."
Aimee's eyes widened in horror when she heard this and her gaze snapped sharply to Frieza. He narrowed his crimson eyes and stared down Shar.
"I said name your price. This is Not an exchange type of deal." The tyrant snapped.
"And I still need compensation for the men I lost. As I stated, I lost some of my best men during this skirmish." Shar shot back.
"Then I'm sure a couple of my men could fill in those slots just fine. I know quite a few who would be willing to take up those positions." Frieza stated.
"You would exchange me some of your men over this little human female? She must be quite the pet for you to want to do that." Shar replied.
Most feared speaking to the infamous Galactic Emperor this way. But Shar and Frieza go way back. They have been doing dealing together for decades. And he was one of the few dealers who were not expendable. Because Shar was very good at obtaining a lot of important facets over the years for the tyrant and Frieza always paid him handsomely for it.
Frieza glared at his old business friend.
"How many different ways must I put it? She. Is. Not. For. Sale." He grounded out.
Shar crossed his arms with a huff.
"Then we will be keeping the products and there will be no exchange." He said, with finality.
The tyrant clenched his jaw. He needed those pulse weapons for his troops. But, he finds himself unwilling to part with her. She has become more of a companion to him; rather than a plaything.
Shar could tell this ultimatum irked the Evil Emperor and smirked at him.
"You could have just about anything for payment. Why do you want the girl so much?" Frieza asked.
Shar shrugs, "As I said, she has quite a lovely appearance. It's been a while since I had a female as appealing as her."
But Frieza wasn't buying it. He knew there was more to it than just that. Shar was hiding something and he didn't trust him.
"If that is all, than I do believe we're done here. Take your leave and go, Shar." Frieza told him.
Shar was taken aback by the response.
"Your kidding. We bent over backwards to obtain these weapons and some of my men were killed as a result." He growled.
"That's not my problem. Now leave. Before you lose these men too." Frieza said, while gesturing to his small group of men behind him.
Shar clenched his fist in anger. But even he still knew not to cross the tyrant, because if there is one thing he knows; it's that Frieza always makes good on his threats.
"Fine. We will take the weapons elsewhere then." The larger alien man sharply turned around and Frieza's subordinate's escorted Shar and his men out of the Meeting Hall.
Once the doors slid shut behind them, Frieza turned his attention behind him to Aimee. She was no longer at one of the many seats at the long table. Instead her back was to him, as she stared out of one of the many windows in the large room.
As he approached her, he heard a shaky sigh come from the young woman. Frieza stood next to Aimee by the window and saw a couple tears roll down her cheeks.
"Is that what I am now? Being labeled a 'Plaything' was bad enough. Now you compare me to some unsellable object instead." She spat.
He sighs, "No, your not. But I had to make it clear to him one way or another that he cannot have you. I don't know what it is. But there was something else behind his words, besides simply just wanting you for himself. Something far more dangerous."
Aimee gave him a bittersweet smile, "Yeah, because there is nothing dangerous about being stuck aboard this ship. Need I remind you that your own men kidnapped me from Earth."
Of course, she was still upset about that. Frieza believed it was something that she may never get over. But the way he see's it, he just let go of one huge deal; just to spare her. A deal that has spanned on for the last few months and only came to fruition a mere few hours ago. They were weapons his men could've really benefitted from too.
"In what way am I a danger to you? Last I recall, I haven't attempted to harm or kill you since you're stay here." He replied.
She turned her gaze from the view to finally face him.
"Were you not paying attention to what I just said!? You took me from my home! I had a life, a job, and a family! And you took me from them!" Aimee said, her voice rising with each sentence.
Frieza opened his mouth to speak. The doors at the back of the room slid open, effectively cutting him off again. Berryblue floated in.
"My Lord, I have come to inform you that Shar and his men have been escorted off of the ship." She said.
"Very good. I doubt we will be seeing him anytime soon with any future dealings." He stated.
Aimee made her way over to his subordinate, before he could say something to her.
"Berryblue, will you please escort me back to his Quarters?" She asks.
The stout blue woman looked over at the tyrant. Who stood there for a moment staring, before he reluctantly nodded. Berryblue looked his way for a moment longer, than turned her attention back to Aimee.
"Of course." She said, then gestured for the young woman to follow her.
Frieza watched her go. Once he was alone, he turned back to the window. His mind clouded with conflict. He will be the first to admit things have been different since she has been with him. That difference; mainly being with him. He still can't believe he just turned down one of his dealings for her. Just what was becoming of him?
Meanwhile in a smaller ship not far from Frieza's Main Ship...
"Come in Tarro, come in." Shar said, through the ship's intercom.
"Tarro here. What is it you want, Shar?" Came a disembodied voice over the intercom.
"I have both bad news and good news in regards to my dealings with Emperor Frieza." He said.
"Well, spit it out! What did you do wrong now!?" Asked the irate voice.
"Bad news is, he turned down the high powered pulse weapons my men and I worked hard to obtain. So unfortunately, this means no payment." Shar started.
"You imbecile! We needed that payment to boost up profits for our other more Important Job!" They roared.
"Let me finish! There is good news! He has something of way more value aboard his ship. A human female all the way from the planet Earth in the Northern Quadrant. She is quite the beauty too. If we can obtain her, she will easily make up for the profit we just lost from the failed dealings. " Shar explained.
"Did you say a human?" The voice asked.
"Indeed, we don't have one of those for our collection. It will certainly bring more variety to the selection we already have." Shar added.
"And for a hefty price from some of our top buyers." They said.
Shar grinned, "Exactly."
"Do you have a thorough plan on how to obtain her? Pilfering anything from under Lord Frieza's nose would be no easy task." They stated.
"I do. Unbeknownst to his Lord, I do have some infiltrators on the inside. All I need, is to contact them and relay the instructions. If all goes accordingly, we shall have her within the next twenty-four hours." Shar explained.
There was a brief pause, before they finally spoke.
"Excellent. Please inform me as soon as you have her." They said.
"Understood." Shar said, right before the line cut out.
Shar leaned back in his seat as his grin widened. 'Yes, if we play our cards right; she will be worth a fortune.' He thought, in excitement.
Looks like a sinister plot is afoot. And it's not looking good for our favorite pair. Until Next Time ;)
