The next chapter is up! Enjoy :)
Once Berryblue escorted her back, Aimee wandered over to one of the windows in his Quarters. Instead of leaving though, Berryblue lingered and observed her. She could tell the young woman was clearly upset by the whole exchange.
"You know, he only said that to keep you safe." Berryblue stated.
Aimee sighed and turned her gaze from the window to the stout alien woman.
"That maybe, but I hate that they bartered over me as if I were an object and not an actual living being. I maybe limited to being on this ship, but I still like to think I have some rights. Especially, when it pertains to myself." Aimee replied.
"And you do. You may not realize it yet. But My Lord has come to care about you and your wellbeing." Berryblue said.
Aimee let out a bitter chuckle, "He has a funny way of showing it. It's either we're at each other's throats or he's distracting me with sex."
Berryblue leveled her with a look.
"These last several months, he has viewed you less as some plaything and more like a companion. I've known Frieza his whole life. I was his Tutor and his Nanny, and I helped raised him after his Mother passed away. And not once have I ever seen him act in a way like he does when he's around you. Your bringing out another side of him that has been lying dormant since he was a small child. Perhaps you don't see this change. But I clearly do." His subordinate stated.
A somber look formed on Aimee's face, "And yet, he still denies me of what I desire most. My freedom back and my life on Earth."
"It's not that he doesn't want to send you back, child. He's just having a difficult time letting you go. As I stated before, he cares about you. And this is what's making it harder for him to let you go." Berryblue said.
"Then what? I should just keep going on like nothing is wrong and that everything is great? I may as well live the rest of my life in a giant web of lies." Aimee replied.
There was a brief pause. Before either of them spoke again.
"Things have changed and they are still changing. You don't know for sure that this will be the rest of you're life. He maybe selfish, but even that part of him is beginning to crack. Frieza is not blind, he knows you're hurting. I do believe eventually he will abide by you're wishes and let you go home one day." The older woman stated.
Aimee turned to face her completely, "Why are you telling me all of this, Berryblue?"
The blue woman smirked at her. But it wasn't her usual creepy condescending smirk. It was one filled with reassurance.
"Because, a lot of these things are something he's afraid to admit. Both to himself and to you. I may not be his biological Mother. But that has never stopped me from viewing Frieza as a son. And like any Mother, I do know these things. He has never truly been happy in life. His Father has filled him with nothing but anger, rage, and resentment." She said.
"And you honestly believe that I make him happy? Me, some lowly human. A species he has viewed as mere insects." Aimee spat.
"I don't believe; I know." Berryblue replied.
Before either of them could say anything else, a voice came over the intercom in the room.
"Berryblue are you there? They currently need you down in the control room." Came Kikono's voice.
She gives Aimee one last look, before she turns and floats over to the intercom on the wall, and presses a button.
"I'll be there shortly. Thank you, Kikono." She replied.
Before she left the room, Berryblue said one last thing to Aimee on the way out.
"For what it's worth, I do enjoy our conversations whenever we do have them. And I can see why he has taken a shine to you." She admitted.
Aimee didn't say anything as she watched the small alien woman leave. She didn't know what to think of Frieza. After all these months with him, and there are still times she can't begin to figure him out. He's ruthless, this much she knows because she has seen it time in and time out. Yet, there were times the tyrant had showed her a different side of him. When he would tell her stories from his past about his childhood. Times like that where he completely let his guard down around her and show her a more humane and carefree side of himself.
All this overthinking wasn't doing her any good. Frieza hadn't come back yet, and she was starting to get a little stir crazy. Plus, she was starting to feel hungry. Aimee knew all she would have to do was hit a call button. But for some reason, she rather go out and get food herself. She was just sick and tired of having to be escorted all the time and just wanted to go wherever she pleased on board.
'Surely, by now his men know not to mess with me. They're stupid but not that stupid, knowing it would just invoke his wrath.' She thought.
"Screw it." She mumbled under her breath.
Aimee went over to the sliding door and let herself out. She knew her way around most of the ship by now and knew where the kitchen's were. So she trekked down the hall to the elevator and got on. She went down three floors and exited. It was a long stretch of a hall and the lighting was quite dim, giving it an eerie look.
As she walked down the hall, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. Aimee couldn't help but feel like she was being watched. She didn't want to look around and draw more attention to herself. So she decided to pick up the pace as she made her ways to the kitchens.
While passing a darkened corridor, someone stepped out and blocked her path, making her jump. She has seen many of his men in passing. But for some reason, this guy seemed very unfamiliar to her, and she didn't like the way he was looking at her either. Aimee tried to push her nerves down.
"Excuse me," She said. Trying to be polite.
When she tried to walk around him, he stepped her path again. To her shock he grabbed her arm.
"Hey, what are you doing!? Let me..."
She couldn't say anymore, because the mystery man quickly shoved a odd smelling cloth over her nose and mouth. Aimee let out a muffled shout and tried to pull away. But he held her in place as she continued to struggle. In her panic, she did the only thing that came to mind. She gave him a swift kick between his legs. It did the trick, as her attacker grunted in pain, dropped to his knees, and released his grip on her arm.
She clumsily backtracked, while doing so; her mind started to get hazy. Then Aimee started to get dizzy. She backed into something solid and whipped around to see what it was. Which was a bad idea, because she fell to the floor. Her body started to feel heavy and she started finding it hard to stay awake. When she did look up to what she backed into, she noticed it was another soldier.
"Wha...what do you want?" She asked.
He didn't answer her though. He just stood there, waiting for the effects from the drugged up cloth to kick in more. Aimee tried fighting to stay awake. She tried to get up, only to fall back down. Her legs felt like they stopped working altogether and she started to drag herself. She only made it a few feet and tried to yell out for help. Everything went black and she fell in a heap; unconscious.
The man's comrade came limping over. Something he thought was rather funny.
"How are you're nuts doing, Speck?" He teased.
"Oh fuck off! Let's just grab the little bitch and get out of here. Shar wants us to be quick before anyone notices she's missing." Speck snapped.
The other soldier just shrugs and picks Aimee up and tosses her over his shoulder like a small sack of potatoes. Luckily for them, the docking bay was only one floor down and there was currently a shift change going on. Which would make it easier for them to sneak on to a cruiser and go. People came and went from the ship quite often and didn't think much of it.
So they quickly made their way back down the empty dim hall. All while still looking around for anyone that maybe coming. There were plenty of darkened corridors for them to duck into if they see someone coming.
The men made it to the elevator and pressed the button.
Unbeknownst to them, someone did spot them. They had just exited the kitchens with a trey of food. As they made their way down the hall they saw the men in the hall a ways down. They were bickering quietly back and forth and they saw something lying on the floor by their feet between the two of them. The one watching them saw the bigger of the two haul up what was on the floor and witnessed him throwing it over his shoulder.
Their eyes widened in slight surprised when they recognized who it was. Then they watched as the two men quickly made their way back down the hall with Aimee in tow. They didn't make it in time, before the elevator doors closed. They had an idea of where the two soldiers were going. Unfortunately, by the time they made it back up to Frieza, it would've been too late, and they would've made it off with Aimee.
The men stayed out of sight as they made their way through the docking bay and to a cruiser. They pressed a few buttons on the side of one, and after a few moments the side door slid up, allowing them access. The one that had Aimee dropped her into one of the seats and buckled her in. Before they both took up the cockpit and started up the engines.
"Man, this was almost too easy." The bigger one said, with laughter in his voice.
"Yeah, easiest big pay we've ever scored yet, Cruz." Speck replied.
As they were taking off, the alarms started blaring. A computerized voice filled the area; 'WARNING: INTRUDER ALERT.' It kept repeating this, along with addressing personnel to make their way down to the docking bay.
"Shit! Gun it and let's get the hell out of here!" Speck yelled.
They headed for the doors to the exit of the large main ship. Normally, the doors sensors would go off and would open to allow the cruisers out. But for some reason that's not the case now.
"Dammit, why are they not opening!? Do something before we crash into them!" Speck continued to panic.
"Hold on! I got this!" Crus said.
He grabbed one of the center handles between the seats and pressed the button on top. A couple energy blasts shot off from the cruiser and blasted a rather large hole in the ship's doors. Then they gunned it out of there, just as the first group of soldiers made their way into the docking bay. It was a tight squeeze through the hole, and there was a sharp metallic sound with some sparks, as the cruiser squeezed through the hole and into space.
They made it out though and put the cruiser in hyper speed, all while setting the destination to their rendezvous point. Where they will meet up with their boss, Shar. Best of all, they had his prize sitting unconscious in the back seat.
Cruz pressed a button on the ship's intercom.
"Come in, Shar. This is Cruz speaking, come in." He stated.
There was a few moments of silence, before another voice came over the speaker.
"Yes, I hear you loud and clear. Did you complete you're mission?" Shar asked.
"Yes sir, we got the girl and are headed your way now. E.T.A about three hours." Cruz said.
"Excellent." Shar replied.
The two soldiers were a bit hesitant on what they were about to say next.
"We've had a slight issue though. We unfortunately didn't make it out as smoothly as we thought we would. Someone hit the alarm as we were taking off. They also locked the exit doors on the main ship. We had to blast a hole through them to get us out. But don't worry, they still don't know who we are or where we are going." Speck said.
"But the fact that someone set off the alarms means you were seen." Shar said, in irritation.
"I don't see how, we made sure no one saw us and that we weren't being followed." Cruz added.
"Someone must have. They don't just sound the alarms for no good reason." Shar replied.
"We're sorry, sir. But still, we did make it out, and with the girl." Cruz said.
"Are you sure no one saw which way you headed or where you're going? As you know, I don't like surprises. Don't want to see a whole Frieza Force fleet show up not long after you land at the rendezvous point. Even worse if Frieza himself shows up." Shar explained.
"I don't believe they know where we're going. As soon as we cleared the main ship's exit doors, we put the ship in hyper speed. We doubt anyone saw which way we went." Cruz said.
"Fine, just get her here. Have you given her enough of the drug to keep her out for a while longer?" Shar asks.
"Yes, sir. There shouldn't be anymore issues. We will be seeing you shortly." Speck replied.
"Good, I'll be in contact with you once you land." Shar said.
The line went out afterwards. The cockpit was silent for a little while afterwards. Aimee still remained knocked out for the rest of the trip. Completely unaware that she now has even bigger problems and new horrors ahead of her.
Meanwhile back on the Main Ship...
"My Lord, whoever they were, they did some pretty extensive damage to the docking bay's exit doors." A soldier said.
"What I like to know was how they were able to slip pass a good portion of our troops completely unnoticed." Frieza snapped.
The soldier he was addressing looks like he was about to shit himself, trying to figure out what to say that won't piss off the tyrant even further.
"I'm...I'm sorry, Lord Frieza. But these guys must've known when we do shift change down in the docking bay. During those times is when we have the least amount of people in there." He explained.
Frieza pinches the bridge of his nose in frustration.
"I don't want to hear anymore petty excuses. Just get some of our best repairmen down there to fix those doors and whatever else maybe damaged." He ordered.
"Ye yes, My Lord." The soldier stuttered and quickly retreated from the room.
As he was leaving, Berryblue entered the Main Room.
"My Lord, I'm afraid I have bad news. Whoever these men were, they took Aimee with them." She said.
Frieza was certainly unprepared for this kind of news.
"What!?" He spat.
"I was on my way back from the kitchens. When I spotted two men down the sparsely lit hall. They were chatting about something and as I drew a little closer, I saw something lying on the floor by their feet. When one of them picked it up. That's when I noticed it was her. From what I could see, she was unconscious, for she wasn't moving at all. I tried to follow them without being seen. By the time I got to the elevator, they have already made their way down." She explained.
A feeling of dread settled into his stomach at hearing this. Gone. She was gone. Someone had taken her. He needed to find out who and where they may have gone.
"You didn't get a good look at them." He asked, in a flat voice.
Berryblue shook her head, "I'm afraid not. They were wearing our uniforms. But I couldn't make out who they were. They were away down the hall and as we all know, the lighting on that floor is rather poor. But we do have the surveillance on each floor, including that one."
"Pull it up. The sooner we can figure out who they are, the better. There are also trackers on each cruiser. We just need to pinpoint the location of the one they had taken." Frieza stated.
"We will get to work on that surveillance footage and that cruiser's tracker right away." Berryblue assured him.
All he could do was nod, "Good, you may go now. We don't have anymore time to waste. I'll be in the control room shortly to look through all the footage within the last couple hours."
Berryblue bowed her head, "Yes, My Lord."
She floated over to the sliding doors, but stopped before them, and spoke again.
"Don't worry, Lord Frieza. We will find her and get her back." Berryblue said.
He didn't say anything as she left the room. Frieza walked over to one of the many windows in the room and stared out into the vastness of space. On the outside he tried to remained composed. But on the inside, he was very worried. He may even daresay he was scared. Here he was, a Galactic Emperor with his own Empire, and an unfathomable amount of power. Yet, this slip of a human woman had seemingly wormed her way into his cold heart.
Now, she was gone. Someone had kidnapped her and taken her god knows where. A part of him blamed himself for this. Frieza knew he really messed up with Aimee earlier. He didn't blame her for being upset, he even found himself wanting to apologize to her afterwards.
He slammed his fist into the metal wall by the window. When he pulled back, there was a nice size dent in the wall. He will find her. If he had to search all over the known Universe, he will. And when he finds out who had taken Aimee, he will make them pay.
"Aimee, just hang on." He said.
Until Next Time ;)
