The next chapter is posted! Enjoy :)

As the rest of the girls dug into their food, Geeta was not feeling very hungry. She finds herself wondering if she crossed the line too much with the tyrant. Even if he did need to come to the truth with certain things.

He can lie and deny it all he wants. But no one ever goes through that kind of trouble for someone if they didn't care about them. Plus, she's still unsure what's going to happen with her and the others. They were provided with room and board, clothes, and food. Yet, they haven't been provided with straight answers for their fates. Going home still seemed like a pipe dream for all of them. They already assume that this is where they will remain.

Down in Med Bay...

The Head Doctor Anuk, was currently looking at some tissue samples under a microscope. When he heard one of the machines to the tanks start beeping. He turned from his work and saw that it was the tank Aimee was in. A green light started flashing off to it's side, signaling that she was healed, and ready to be let out. He did a quick glance at her vitals. Before he went over to the intercom.

"Lord Frieza, she's done in the healing tank. We're going to remove her from it and place her in one of the beds." Anuk announced.

At first, he didn't receive an answer back. Several moments went by without an answer. When Anuk eventually opened his mouth to speak again, that's when the tyrant's voice was finally heard over the intercom.

"I'll be right down." Frieza replied.

That's the only response the doctor got, before the line was cut off. Was it him or did his Lord sound...out of it? Guess Anuk will know for sure when Frieza comes down to the Med Bay. In the mean time, he will ask one of the others to help Aimee out of the tank. He spotted one of his colleagues that currently wasn't busy.

"Rumi, come give me a hand with the human." He said.

The one known as 'Rumi' nodded and headed over to the tank Aimee was still currently occupying. He pressed a series of buttons and soon the tank beeped a couple times, before the fluids started to drain out. It drained within several seconds. Anuk carefully removed the breathing apparatus from her face. She was still out and not conscious. Something that came no surprise to him. Both men then carefully eased her out of the tank and placed her on a nearby bed.

Anuk held her up slightly so that Rumi could wrap a blanket around her wet body. Then they finally laid her down on the bed and waited for Frieza to come.

Frieza walked in not a couple minutes later and approached them. He was concerned when he noticed Aimee was not awake. She appeared to be fully healed. So why was she still out? He turned his attention to the doctors.

"What's her status report?" The tyrant asked.

"Her wounds have been fully healed. For the most part, she is out of the woods." Anuk replied.

"What do you mean? For the most part?" Frieza asks.

"There is a reason why she is still out and in a weakened state. While the regeneration tank healed her wounds the tanks cannot replenish lost blood. This is something that either her body will do on it's own or she may still require a blood transfusion. The only problem with that is that there aren't many races with compatible blood for humans. But as we stated, her body could replenish blood on it's own. It will just take more time in doing so." Anuk explained.

Frieza looked back at Aimee. She still appeared quite pale and frail as she laid there wrapped in the blanket. He brushed some wet hair off the side of her cheek.

"And you say, it would be difficult to perform a blood transfusion. Because there is no one here that is compatible." The tyrant said, while still keeping his gaze on her prone form.

Anuk was a bit hesitant with what he had to say next. But if his Lord really wanted her to get better and fast; he may as well tell him.

"I know of at least one here that is very compatible to her kind, My Lord." He says.

"Who?" Frieza asks.

Anuk shares a brief glance with Rumi, before turning back to address the Galactic Emperor.

"You, My Lord. We have you and you're family's blood samples on file. Apparently, yours is highly compatible to a number of species. Hers included. When we took a blood sample from her and compared it to yours it turns out that the platelets, plasma, and cells were quite similar. Enough to be a match. This is...if your willing to be her donor." He says, with hesitance.

The doctors were unsure he would go for it. They figured the tyrant wouldn't have a good reason to do so. So it came to a surprise with what he said next.

"What do you need me to do?" Frieza asked.

Anuk, who was still a bit shocked; cleared his throat.

"I will need to procure an intravenous tube between the two of you. During that time, you will have to stay by her bedside. The process could take anywhere between 2-4 hours." He stated.

"How soon can we start?" The tyrant asks.

"Whenever your ready, My Lord." He replied.

"Then let's get started." Frieza says.

Rumi pulled up a seat next to Aimee's bedside and had Frieza sit. While Anuk went and retrieved a couple intravenous tubes and needles. He came over and instructed Frieza to hold out his arm, then wiped it clean with antiseptic wipes. Rumi tied a tourniquet around the tyrant's arm. It was a bit tricky finding a vein through the thick skin. When they finally did, the next challenge was getting the needle through his tough skin; without breaking it.

Even when Anuk was sinking it into his skin with some applied pressure, Frieza didn't even flinch. During that time, Rumi had wrapped a tourniquet around Aimee's arm. Finding her veins were much easier and quicker, just as it was inserting the other end of the needle and tube in. Each tube was hooked up to a bag by the bed. So that his blood could pass through it and into her.

"There. Everything is set, Lord Frieza. We will continue to monitor you both through this. With time, she will soon awaken." Anuk told him.

The tyrant nods in understanding. The two doctors exchanged a few more words with him. Until they had to attend to some others that just came in. Frieza looks back to Aimee. He moves his seat closer to her side. Then slowly reaches inside a gap in the blanket and gently grasps her hand, and rubs his thumb over her knuckles.

Her head turns in her sleep and is now facing him completely. She does seem a little better, minus the slightly pallid look of her skin. He's much relieved that he was able to save her just in time. Otherwise, it could've been a different outcome. One that he didn't want to even think of. He will never admit it out loud. But when she was bleeding out while he rushed them back to the ship, for the first time in a long time; Frieza was scared.

Perhaps that servant girl was right. He can't keep denying how he feels about Aimee. It was all right there in front of him, clear as day. Does it really matter that much if it makes him appear weak? For the longest time it did matter to him. The only thing that changed that, is seeing her lying prone and near death's door earlier.

"I hope you awaken soon. At least so I can tell you...how sorry I truly am." Frieza said, barely above a whisper.

Her eyes moved slightly underneath her eyelids and her fingers twitched a little. But Aimee still slept. There was just so much he wanted to tell her. And yet, still unsure of how and where to start when she does come to and is feeling better. Right now though, her health is top priority. His train of thought was broken, when the doors slid open, and a familiar figure floated in.

"How is she, My Lord?" Berryblue asks, as she floats over to him.

He sighs, "Well, her wounds have healed. But her blood count was still quite low."

His subordinate then notices that both Frieza and Aimee were hooked up to an I.V. which was connected to a bag.

"So your doing a blood transfusion. I'd say I'm surprised your a match. But then your race was one of the very few that was highly compatible with several other races." She said.

She can see the tyrant appears to be rather conflicted about something. Berryblue has no doubt the cause of it was lying in bed right next to where he was sitting.

"You still seem troubled, My Lord." She states.

"Yes, though something tells me you know why." He says.

"Indeed. But I will not add to your internal conflict. Some things are meant to be handled on their own. I believe this is one of them." Berryblue said.

Frieza didn't reply for a while afterwards. They just stayed there in silence. Eventually, his voice cut through the silence. In what sounded like an out of place question for him.

"Berryblue, do you...think my latest actions have been considered weak?" He asks.

The tyrant talked so low when he asked. Because he didn't want others around to hear their conversation. Frieza knew it may have not been the right time or place to ask this. But he felt like it was something he needed to know now.

The short blue alien woman shakes her head.

"Of course not." She replies.

He gave her a somewhat quizzical look. Not expecting that reply.

"Why is that?" Frieza asked.

She closes her eyes and lets out a drawn out sigh.

"You were always under the impression that having emotions is a weakness. Something to be frowned upon or even disgusted by. This is something that your Father instilled in you from a very young age." She pauses, opens her eyes, and gazes at him.

"But just because King Cold told you this, it doesn't mean he was right. He may have been very powerful in his prime. It still didn't mean he always had the right answers or logic. I watched as he slowly turned you and your brother into emotionless machines. Sadly, so did your Mother. And when she tried to put a stop to it...well, you know what happened. And I won't divulge into such a painful time for you."

Frieza let out a slight bitter chuckle at her words.

"You don't have to dance around the topic, Berryblue. I was there, it happened, and nothing will change that." He replied.

"Then you will believe me when I tell you that your Mother wanted the very best for you. She wanted you to think for yourself and have your own ideas. And not let your Father pollute your mind and have full control over you and everything you do. If you truly want to think for yourself, then this is the time to do so. In the end, the choice is yours, and yours alone. I nor anyone else can make that choice for you. Your Father has also done enough of that for you in the past. Now, your free to make your own path and future." She stated.

Berryblue's gaze drifts to Aimee. Before going back to the tyrant.

"And it can be with whomever you want." She added.

Anuk came over, thus cutting their conversation short.

"Forgive me, but Lieutenant Kikono just called. And they need you down in the Control Room, Miss Berryblue." The Doctor said.

"Of course." She replied.

Berryblue turned around and started heading for the sliding doors. But before she left, she looked over her shoulder, back at Frieza.

"Just remember, don't let what others think, cloud your choices and decisions." She said, before she finally left.

Frieza stared at the sliding doors for the next several moments. Before he slowly turned his gaze back to Aimee. He felt like he knew what he wanted to say to her. The one thing that weighed down on him is how she will feel about what he tells her. Either way, he was done with his denial, and just about ready to tell the truth. Now, all he had to do; is wait.

Sorry, if these last couple chapters seem to be dragging a bit. But it's all part of building up the suspense. These feelings and emotions are still completely new and alien to the Evil Emperor. After all, a cold blooded sociopath like him can't suddenly come to terms with this over night. But at least now we know he is starting to accept them. Hopefully, the next chapter or two can finally start bringing everything full circle. I'm sure everyone will also be curious about how Aimee feels too. Until Next Time ;)
