The next chapter is posted! Enjoy :)
1 Year Later...
"So, as soon as I got word she went missing, we went to work right away to track her whereabouts. It wasn't easy at first and all it did was worry me more. But soon enough, my subordinates and I finally got a tip on where she went. It was a rather ghastly world with equally bad inhabitants. I could only imagine how afraid she truly was.
It came as a relief when I found the one who had her taken from me and it didn't take much for me to get him to talk. He finally told me of where her final destination was. And I wasted no more time racing there to save her." Frieza paused momentarily, after all this time he feels he could never banish that awful memory from his mind.
"She...was in a very bad state when I found her. A very bad man had hurt her very badly. I was quick to dispatch of him, but feared I may have been too late. While rushing her back to the ship all I could think about is making her well again. It also turned out to be the first time in my life I was actually scared. And not for myself but for her. I couldn't begin to fathom losing her.
The doctors onboard my ship worked round the clock to make her better again. Even I had a hand in her recovery. And though I was relieved and elated that she had recovered and gotten better, it made me come to a certain realization. Which was; I had to send her back to Earth. Because I knew then that if she were to stay in space with me, there was a good chance she could've gotten hurt again or worse.
It was a very difficult decision to make. Our goodbye...was all the more painful. Because I believed at the time, that there was a very good chance that I may never see her again. That thought within itself hurt us both very much. But I just kept reminding myself that sending her back was for her safety and life. Even when she requested I come see her again, I couldn't say no to her and hurt her even more.
So, I told her I would. Even though as I said it, I knew it was a slim chance. For those next several months I kept dodging and running away from my emotions. Which still only managed to make things feel even worse. My most trusted subordinate who also was my caretaker growing up; Berryblue, was the one who finally talked sense into me and told me to stop running."
He chuckled, "That was the first time I actually thought she was going to slap me for acting like such a fool. And I wouldn't have blamed Berryblue if she did. I was being a fool and a coward. I realized I couldn't stay away anymore. So, I finally came back to Earth, and finally confessed to her how I really feel. That was the most special night we have shared. Because not only did we finally admitted our feelings for each other but...that night also ended up giving us 'You'."
Aimee smiled as Frieza finished and walked up to him.
"It's funny, I'm the one that is good at writing stories. Yet, you seem quite good at telling them." She stated.
He looked over his shoulder briefly and smiled. She leaned in and placed a soft kiss on his lips. One Frieza gladly reciprocated. When they pulled back, Aimee looked down, over his shoulder. He turned his attention back down too.
A pair of big crimson eyes stared back up at the couple.
Ever since the night Frieza came back. He made good on his word and stayed with Aimee. They knew it wouldn't be an easy adjustment at first. Since no one was really on board with that arrangement. It was nice of Bulma though to share the rest of Aimee's story with the rest of the Z-Fighters. She even went as far as telling them that if Frieza were to come to Earth, not to engage him in battle.
When he actually did come to Earth that night, he did have a small welcoming committee. Frieza was met with stern/disapproving looks of Gohan and Piccolo on his way to Aimee's. Luckily, only words were exchanged and not fists. At the time, Goku and Vegeta were still away on Lord Beerus's World and was unaware that Frieza had showed up.
With some heavy reluctance, the half saiyan youth and the namekian let him through. But not before they had parting words, stating that they will be watching him. And if he were to step one foot out of line, then they will be forced to take him out. Frieza had to bite his tongue at the aspect of those two thinking they did stand a chance against him. But he obliged them nonetheless. Knowing it wouldn't do him any good to disagree with them.
He was glad he was finally able to tell Aimee the words he'd been longing to tell her. It made his heart sore when she told him that she loved him back. That night gave them more than that though. Aimee became pregnant from the results of that magical night. And nine months later, they welcomed their child to the world.
The same beautiful baby girl, that was currently laying in Frieza's arms.
They named her Maya. And she was a perfect blend between her parents. She had human ears and feet and her Mother's medium brown hair. But she has her Father's off white complexion, dark nails and lips, and his eyes. She didn't have a tail. And just like Frieza, the child had an unusually high power level for one so young. She was the true product of their love and the very center of their Universe.
"So, did you like Daddy's story, Sweetie?" Aimee said, to their three month old.
The tiny child smiled, which then turned into a yawn. Then she cuddled into her Father's warm chest. Frieza smiled, leaned down slightly, and gently kissed the top of her head.
"Well, guess it's safe to say that your stories put her to sleep." Aimee teased.
The former tyrant gives her a playful look, before he lightly swats her ass with his tail. making her jump slightly in surprise and level him with a look. He just chuckles and pulls the young woman into his side, and kisses her cheek. Aimee wraps her arms around his waist and rest her cheek against his shoulder. Her gaze goes back down to their daughter, who is starting to nod off in his arms.
"At least she stayed awake through the whole story. Whereas; I can't help but feel you probably would've fell asleep about halfway through." He replied.
Aimee rolls her eyes, "Nah, I'd just fall asleep before you even start telling me a story. I'm not rude enough to fall asleep during you telling it." She ends with a shit eating grin. Causing him to chuckle at her antics.
They move their conversation to the living room couch. Aimee motioned for him to hand baby Maya over to her. Frieza carefully placed the tiny infant into her Mother's arms. A wide, loving smile was ever present on her face as she held her daughter close. And softly kissed her little cheek. He observed the scene between the two of them. To think, this wouldn't have happened had he not summoned up the courage to come back to her. And now, he cannot simply imagine a life without Aimee and their daughter in it.
"I couple years back, I would've never imagined that this is where life would've taken us." Aimee said.
She turned her gaze towards him, "But I'm glad it did."
Frieza smiles and pulls her and Maya into his embrace.
"Me too. And I'm finding that the love between us only grows stronger everyday we're here together." He says, against the side of her head.
Aimee smiles, "Well, we do have this little peanut to remind us of that everyday."
She gestures down to baby Maya. Who finally fell asleep a couple minutes prior.
His smile widens, "Indeed."
Aimee tilts her head up from his shoulder to look at him.
"So, what's this Goku told us earlier about another Fighting Expo between our Universe and the Sixth?" She inquired.
Frieza snorts, "It's as the bumbling fool said, the Sixth Universe's Destroyer goaded Lord Beerus into another competition between our fighters and theirs. Of course, I'm not entirely sure what it entails. Seeing as I was supposedly still dead during the first Expo Fight between the two Universes. Goku was a bit vague in explaining it. He said, the only difference between this next fight and the last is there will be more fighters in this one.
Apparently the first Expo Matches featured only five fighters from each Universe. But this next one coming up, Lord Beerus's brother demanded on ten fighters this time. Of course, I was...what's that term you like to seldom use from time to time? Voluntold? I believe I was voluntold to join these matches."
"Don't act so indifferent about it. Admit it, your looking forward to these Expo Matches." She says, in a slight singsong voice.
He gives her a knowing smirk, "I just think you like to watch me spar."
He playfully puffs out his chest at the end of that statement, causing her to laugh.
"Yeah ok, better recheck that statement. I think it's more or less that you like to show off." Aimee teases.
"I do not." He purposely says, in a whiny voice making her laugh again.
"Ok, joking aside and back to the matches. Why wouldn't you want to participate?" She asks.
Frieza shrugs, "I guess, it's because I've given a lot of my time to being a full time Father and helping you out with Maya. That training hasn't really passed my mind these last several months since her birth. It just really isn't my top priority right now. Helping you take care of our child is." He admits.
Aimee gives him a soft smile. A part of her knew that was his biggest reason. She recalls a time many months prior when Frieza declined training with Goku and Vegeta for the time being. He did do some sparring with them while Aimee was still in her first and second trimester of her pregnancy. Even then, it wasn't a frequent thing with him.
Then Frieza dropped it completely when Aimee hit her final trimester and following their daughter's birth. Preferring to spend more time with his new family instead. She could understand that, but she also knew he was a fighter. And Aimee didn't want to keep him from doing something he enjoyed and was good at. She lightly ran her fingers over top of Maya's head.
"I still think it's something to look forward to. You are a fighter after all. And I'm sure in some sense you were pretty happy that they thought to add you to their team." Aimee replied.
"In a way, it's like deja vu. Reminds me of when they put our team of misfits together for the Tournament of Power. That was quite amusing." He said, with a hint of sarcasm.
"True, but this time it really is just for fun. With no cataclysmic undertones." She says.
"You make a point there. Though it's not entirely factual. If Lord Beerus and his Brother have an argument and try to go at each other, in which they do have a tendency to do. It could cause mayhem." He replies.
Frieza closes his eyes and leans his head back with a small smirk.
"But your right. It doesn't hurt to join in on friendly competition. Well, if you can call it that. Can only hope Lord Champa doesn't volunteer that nauseating bastard Frost as one of his fighters again." He says, with a cringe.
Aimee turns her attention back to Maya.
"It be a nice big outing for her. She may enjoy it." She said.
Frieza's red orbs turn back to Aimee, then the tiny infant girl still in her arms.
"This is true, I heard Bulma say that all the families went as spectators, and they all had a good time." He stated.
Aimee went to say something when she heard a slight whimper followed by a very forceful fart. Frieza saw Maya make a face as she forced it out. The stench that followed concluded it was more than a fart. The young woman gave him a pointed look.
"I did the last two. This one is yours." She punctuated, as she handed the squirmy uncomfortable infant back to her Father.
Frieza took her with a groan. He knew this was a bad one too. Aimee just smirked and gestured to the changing table on the other side of the living room against the far wall. The former tyrant knew she got a kick out of his misery changing diapers. Especially, ones full of shit. But he learned long ago that you had to take child rearing in stride, both the good and the bad.
He finally got up and started walking over to the changing table.
"Just don't let me catch you trying to record this endeavor on your phone again. Otherwise I will confiscate it, put it on silent, and hide it." Frieza threatened.
Aimee snickers remembering the failed attempts at recording the infamous Evil Emperor at diaper changing. But she will humor him and give him a pass this time. Though she holds no such promises for the future.
This was just another day in the life of raising an infant for them. And in truth, they enjoyed every moment of it.
Hope everyone enjoyed this cute fluffy chapter. Sadly, this story will soon be coming to an end very soon. With the Epilogue possibly being the next chapter. Until Next Time ;)
