Author's Notes: This Chapter is for the Draco/Hermione shippers. And yes I am one of them! Please don't come at me about the cannon part of James/Lilly. I was going off Snape's memories in Deathly Hallows. It felt like they fell in love while Lilly was either in first or second year.

Chapter 13: Draco/Hermione

After Dueling Club, Snape pulled Hermione aside to talk to her privately.

"I haven't told your mother or father anything yet. I wanted to talk to you before I said anything." Snape said.

Hermione sighed as she hung her head. "I know I shouldn't feel this way, but I do. We actually got to know each other that weekend, Severus. And he even defended me when the other Slytherins called me a mudblood."

"What you feel is perfectly normal, Hermione. Draco has a reputation due to his father being a Death Eater. However, he only is the way he is because of his father. Lucius is very nit picky on how he wants things done. Draco wants to please his father so he does whatever Lucius wants."

"The Malfoys are as close as my family is." Hermione blurted.

Snape smiled some as he nodded his head.

"If you would like, I can talk to your father."

Hermione's attention was brought over to a certain Slytherin 2nd year goofing off with his friends. Smiling, she shook her head.

"I will tell dad and mum later." Hermione said.

She then headed to Draco and his friends. Draco snaked an arm around Hermione's shoulders. He pulled her close to him. Making sure to place a kiss on her cheek.

Snape watched from a distance. Part of him was on edge by the idea of his Goddaughter being interested in boys so soon, but she was 12. Some of the 2nd years already were pairing off.

James and Lily were interested in one another by their second year. At least that was how it felt.
