Adam Newman smirked as he stared down his older brother Nick. "Did you think Rafe was an isolated incident?"

Nick sputtered, his mouth hanging open with dozens of unspoken words just out of his grasp. Adam reveled in his brother's shock and disgust. He had never been one of the Newmans, not really. Even that deflated blowup doll Abby had been accepted more by the family than Adam.

"You disgust me," Victoria snarled as she pulled back her arm to slap Adam. He just laughed and stepped back out of her reach. "That is our nephew! What is wrong with you?! Disgusting freak."

Stepping up beside his uncle, Noah put a hand on his shoulder and stared at his dad. "After everything you've done, Dad, you don't get to judge anyone. Adam and I are happy. Why isn't that enough for you?"

For a moment, Nick Newman looked as if he were fighting back the urge to vomit, but he lost the battle and spewed his half-digested lunch all over the floor. Everyone jumped back a bit to avoid the mess. Sadly, Victoria wasn't fast enough and her left foot was covered in the chunky fluid.

"If only this were the most disgusting thing to happen today," Victoria grumbled as she tried and failed to shake her foot clean. She looked into Adam's eyes and made a sour face. "You are going to burn in hell for this."

Laughing, Adam reached up so that his hand was on his own shoulder, fingertips brushing those of his nephew Noah. Noah gave the shoulder a comforting squeeze. Taking delight in the discomfort of his siblings, Adam turned to Noah and placed a finger below his chin, lifting his head up so that they were looking into each other's eyes.

"Don't you touch my son!" Nick screamed as he recovered from his bout of sickness and leapt over the mess to tackle Adam to the floor. Adam just laughed as Nick swung wildly at his face.

"Stop it!" Noah yelled as he pulled his dad off his uncle and threw him to the floor. "You hate him, but I don't. And I shouldn't have to!"

"He's warped your head, Son!" Nick exclaimed as he climbed to his feet. "You can't possibly think that this... This is all just a ploy of his to mess with the rest of the family. You're just a pawn in a very sick game he's playing."

Smirking, Adam reached up and Noah helped him to his feet. They faced Nick together, but it was Noah who spoke first. "You have it all wrong, Dad. This isn't a game."

"The truth is that your son chased me, dear brother," Adam said as he grabbed for Noah's hand, intertwining their fingers. He lifted Noah's hand to his lips and kissed it. His eyes were locked onto his brother. "He seduced me. Brought me into his life of his own free will. And now that I'm in it, I have no plans to leave."

"It's the truth," Noah interjected before his father could react. "I came to Adam. After what happened with Chelsea, I wanted to warn him away from Mom. But there was... I pulled to him like a magnet. I got lost in his eyes every time I looked at him. And he has a hell of an ass. I get why mom never left him alone."

"That's enough!" Victoria screeched as she stepped forward and ripped Adam and Noah apart. "This isn't just wrong. It's illegal. I'm going to see you fry for this, Adam."

"And I'll go down, too," Noah reminded his aunt as he pushed her away.

She stumbled and fell into the puddle of Nick's vomit. Nobody helped her up, so she picked herself up. Victoria huffed, scowled, and cast a threatening look at Adam before leaving the conference room.

"Son, she's right. This is a crime. And I can't protect you if you don't stop saying these things." Nick ran his hand through his hair and pleaded with his son. "He isn't worth your time or your freedom. He's a monster. I don't care if you're gay or whatever. Just not with him. He's your uncle! It's not okay and never will be. What would your mom say if she knew?"

"Why don't you tell her?" Adam chimed in, putting an arm around Noah's shoulder and pulling him close. "I mean, she's obviously going to find out when you call the cops on your own son solely because of who he loves."

"THIS ISN'T LOVE!" Nick roared as he punched a hole in the drywall. "This is my brother ruining my son's life."

"My life isn't ruined, Dad," Noah tried to reason. He leaned into Adam's embrace, which just seemed to make Nick even more upset. "Adam is good for me. You know I haven't been with anyone in a long time. I've been lonely. He makes me feel better."

"That is enough," boomed an authoritative voice, causing everyone to look at the door. Victoria entered the room on the heels of her father Victor Newman. "Adam, Son, is what your sister told me the truth?"

"Depends on what she said," Adam answered as he puffed out his chest and tightened his grip on Noah.

Breaking away from his uncle, Noah crossed the room until he was looking his grandfather in the face. Without wavering, he answered in the affirmative. "I love him."

"You two will stop this foolishness this instant!" Victor demanded, before looking at Nick and the hole in the wall he had made. "And you will NOT damage this building anymore with your childish outbursts. Be a man and bring your son to his senses."

"Go to hell," Noah spat, flecks of saliva landing on his grandfather's face. "You don't get to tell me what to do or who to love. I'm not afraid of you."

Victor punched Noah in the face and he fell to the floor. Nick and Adam both rushed to Noah's side, but Noah chose his lover over his father.

"You will regret that, old man," Adam hissed as he stood between Noah and the rest of the room. "If you ever touch him again, I'll kill you."

Victoria stepped up to Adam and snarled. "You're a diseased rodent who needs to be put down. You never were a part of this family and you never will be. Not after this. You've crossed so many lines you can't even see them anymore!"

Adam pushed her away and Victor threw a punch at his younger son. Adam responded by punching Victor back, so Nick grabbed him by the back of his shirt and threw Adam onto the conference room table. Nick wrapped his hands around Adam's throat and began to squeeze.

"You will NOT destroy this family. You will NOT destroy my son!" Nick growled as Adam pushed at his face with one hand while trying to free his neck with the other. "You have done nothing but bring shame to the Newman name."

Noah pulled his dad off of Adam and pushed him back, giving everyone much needed space. "That is ENOUGH! I don't know if you all forgot this, but I'm an adult. I can make my own choices and I owe nothing to any of you. I love this man and I will gladly go to prison for him. Your threats and your violence won't change anything."

Placing a hand on Noah's shoulder, Adam smiled. "It's a bluff. They won't call the cops. Sure, Victoria might, because she hates me more than she cares about you, but she's too afraid of the other two. Your dad won't send you to prison to spite me and good ole Victor knows that sending his grandson to prison will do him no favours with his beloved ex-stripper. We're good, Noah."

Hopping down from the table, Adam grabbed Noah's hand and they walked past the offended trio. Stopping at the doorway to the Newman Enterprises conference room, Noah took a deep breath and looked at his father. "You can either accept this or forget me. Either way, I'll be fine."

And with that, they left.
