(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Phantom Glimmer)

Well, this was a situation Rean and I found ourselves in. By the time we were boarded onto the Alliance Airship. Altina drop both me and Alfin to the deck. And right on time, Rean and Crow landed. Both exit their Divine Knights. And we were walking inside of the ships. Then soldiers from the provincial saluted us and then told us to follow them. We were in the guest area. It's quite fancy. Typical. So the soldier show us to our room. Rean and I share the same room as there are both beds while Princess Alfin room is elsewhere.

"Well... here we are, Rean." I sighed as I approached the window.

"Yeah..." Rean nodded as we both look at the window and see the sky.

"You know you're not alone in here, right?"

"Yeah. I'm glad you're here with me. And yet... i'm worried about...everything else."

"You and me both, Rean... You and me both."

As times flies to evening, Me and Rean were summoned to the main bridge where Rufus, Crow, Vita and Duke Cayenne himself.

"Rean Schwarzer...and Levi Sullivan." He said. "Truth be told, we don't want this war to drag on any more than you do."

"Really?" Rean responded.

I grunted silently.

"We only acted as we did due in part to our dearly departed chancellor's behavior being far too unreasonable to justify turning a blind eye." He continued. "He garnered the trust of His Majesty, and in turn, misused that trust. He flagrantly disregarded this nation's beloved culture and traditions, treating Erebonia as if it were his own personal property. Surely you two, noticed this."

"Well, I can't deny that there was something off about him, and the fact his methods are ruthless. But that doesn't excuse the fact that you alliance faction respond in extreme methods and get innocent lives involved." I responded.

"True...it was beyond reason. But as I said, the cause of our nation's ills is now gone. Now, all that remains is to turn back the hands of time just a touch, and the good old days of the Empire will be upon us once more. The key to this bright future lies in putting aside our differences and joining hands...am I wrong?"

"I'm afraid that yes, you are." Rean replied. "Do you honestly believe that people can so easily put aside their differences after all the alliance has done?! You occupied Heimdallr and effectively took everyone one of its citizens' hostage, imprisoned the Imperial family."

"Not to mentions that you nobles don't even like commoners gaining a position of powers, which is selfish amongst the likes of you. And by turning back that so call 'hands of time'. You nobles will hurt the commoners even more because of your abuses of power and title." I glared. "How could the Imperial Army ever bow down after what happened, even if the civilians are forced to?"

"My word, I'm afraid there's been a terrible misunderstanding." Cayenne said. "The Imperial family is simply under our loving protection! They certainly haven't been imprisoned. And I won't deny that many nobles are nasty sometimes, but I plan to bring out the good of the nobles and make the commoners happy. But that does bring to exactly why I want you to help us."

"It does?" Rean asked.

"Care to enlighten us?" I added.

"The Azure Knight is already on our side, but if we had the Ashen Knight and your unfathomed power as well, that would mean we'd have two of the Great Knights of Erebonian legend and the powers you possessed to put into play. " Cayenne answered. "Couple that with our Panzer Soldats, and the Imperial Army's armored divisions would cower before us. You may not find us winning the war ideal, but this union benefits everyone more than carrying on until our inevitable victory, hmm?"

I fell into silence.

"I don't think it's that simple." Rean said.

"I beg to differ. The presence of Soldat units on a battlefield makes a tremendous difference." Rufus intervened. "What they may lack in firepower and armor compared to tanks, they make up for in mobility and versatility. But more important than even those factors is the psychological impact they have on our opponents."

"We're only human. As such, we are as captivated as we are terrified of giant beings bearing human form." Vita added. "And if that's true, even for mass-produced Soldats made with modern technology, it will be all the more true for the Divine Knights of legend you and Crow possess."

Crow rubbed his head. "Can't argue with that logic."

"So what about my powers, where do I fit in all this?" I asked.

"This is where my idea for a proposal will come into play." Cayenne answered. "If you and Rean agree to join us, you will be welcomed with open arms. The Divine Knights will have their tasks while you can assist them. And I heard that you also are able to increase the Divine Knight's power. And we are rather curious how that works. Plus miss Clotilde added that you even hold the authority of the Divine Knights. But I will not pry. I will say it once more, Giliath Osborne is dead." Cayenne said. "And with his death, all that's left to be done is end this ridiculous war and return order to the empire. Only then will everything be as it should. That includes both your pleasant academy lives."

"We may sit on opposite sides of this conflict, but I still sit on Thor's board of directors." Rufus said. "And in that capacity, I suggest you both consider carefully the choice before you. After all, every soldier must decide for himself whether a cause is worth fighting, perhaps even dying, for. I look forward to hearing your answers."

Cyanne, Rufus, Vita and Crow then left, leaving me and Rean a little lost at what to think over, two guards then came over.

"Please come with us, Master Rean and Master Levi." One of them said.

"You will be escorted to your guest room." The other one added. "Food and refreshments will be provided for you there."

"Very well." I respond.

We then left and we return to the guest area. After we return. Rean and I begin to share dinner. The food is fancy for my liking.

"Feeling okay?" I asked in concern for Rean.

"Yeah... I'm fine." Rean answered as he sighed.

This is going to be one night.

Dateline, December 13th, 1204.

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Inner Twilight)

The next day came on by and Rean and I are in our guest room discussing. I could only look out the window with concern whilst Rean was thinking too much.

Not to mention I won't allow the Noble Alliance scum to win and let them know of my power. Including Ouroboros. That troublesome society.

I then heard the door being opened and turn to see who it was. "Keep rackin' your brains like that and smoke'll start coming out of your ears."

I see Crow and he was holding a small basket.

"Oh...it's you, Crow." I said disgustingly.

"What do you want?" Rean asked firmly.

"Hey, now. No need to give me that look." Crow replied. "I figured I was gonna find you busy thinking everything over like your life depended on it. And what do you know? I was right."

"How about you mind your own damn business?! I figured the glorious Azure Chevalier would be far too busy with the war to be hanging out around here."

"Control yourself, Rean." I advised. "Trust me, I don't like seeing that disgusting and smug look of his face and existence as you do. Espcually the betraying, but getting aggressive now isn't going to solve anything."

He sighed angrily.

"Sounds like you're keeping it cool, Levi." Crow said. "I'm a little envious of you on that one. And come on, you should stop freaking out about it so much and make a choice."

"This isn't something I can just decide by flipping a coin, Crow!" Rean exclaimed.

"Rean, I said control yourself!" I cut him off. "We have to keep our heads cool if we want to...huh, what's with the basket?"

"Grub of course." Crow answered. "It's a little early, but I brought you two your lunch, mind if I join in?"

Rean sighed. "Fine..."

Crow closed the door, placed the basket on the table and unpacked it to reveal three cups of drinks, three burgers and a plate of fries and sauces. Rean and I sat on one sofa and Crow sat on the other side.

"Hamburgers, fries, and onion rings, huh? Rean asked. "I was expecting something more fancy like I had last night."

I couldn't help but laughed. "Fancy food, hmm? Don't tell me you're more interested in eating something fancy-like."

"No, of course not. It just surprises me, that's all."

"I can't but wonder if EVERYTHING surprises you now and then. Don't you feel miss eating something that makes you feel like home?"

"Of course I do. We eaten a lot of different food that taste like home if you ask me."

"Oh yeah. Ah it takes me back. Too be honest. I'm on a debate."

"You are?"

"Yeah. I tried many different food during our field study. While I won't deny that pepperoni pizza is my favorite. But I'm debating on which food would be added to one of my favorites. So far we ate hamburgers and fries, steaks, sandwiches, sweets, fruits, Nord traditional meals, And yet there are others I haven't try yet. Like Seafood."

"Oh yeah, now that you mention it. You always were curious of many varieties of food."

"Man, look at you two go. Making me feel left out." Crow chuckled. "It's like you're ignoring my existence here."

"Do you hear something Rean?" I asked. "I could have sworn I heard a fly."

"Sheesh, Levi. Are you still mad at me?"

"Oh, I thought I was perfectly honest." I smiled. "After all, you done a lot of terrible things as C and you even betray my trust and hurt me. How can I not?"

"Man." Crow sighed as he scratch his hair. "I never figure you to be the type to hold grudes."

"To be honest. I was curious about that myself. I mean yeah I hate you for all you done and break my heart. And yet I hold no grudge against you."

"So basically, you're just trying to make me feel bad?"

"Pretty much. If you're saying it's not working, I'll just have to do something and make you."

"Alright, alright, I get it. But how about we eat. If we keep talking, our food is going to get cold."

"Oh, right. Sorry food!"

"The burger looks delicious." Rean comment.

"Cool. All right, dig in!" Crow smiled.

The three of us begin to eat the burger.

"Huh. This taste completely different but it's good. Oh, I see. It's got White fish in it. Ahh. It's a Fish burger, isn't it?" I asked

"Yep, that's the one." Crow replied. "Figured you might like them."

"The tartar sauce makes for an unusual extra flavoring, too." Rean added. Then he munch down. "This taste amazing."

"Agreed. This taste better then we had last night to be honest." I comment as I munch down.

"Yeah, I couldn't agree."

"Glad to hear it." Crow smiled. "Guess it was worth putting my cooking skills to the test after all."

"Wait, you made this?" Rean asked.

"Was my first time cooking in a while, too. Levi and Sharon could probably do better, though. But I wanted to give it a shot anyway. This stuff was like soul food back in Jurai where I grew up."

"Yeah, a valid point." I nodded. "Wait, Jurai? Wasn't that one of the locations you went to with Group B back in Augest? Oh yeah, that little spell Vita cast allow us to see what happened at Heimdallr. You were confronted by Claire and mention you from there, right?"

"Yep, well remembered. The Empire stitched it on nice and neat, without much opposition. Now, it's prospering as a special economic zone on the coast. Seemed like a pretty lovely place."

"So you ended up going back to your old hometown, then?" Rean asked.

"Yeah. By pre coincidence." Crow nodded. "It's changed a lot since I was last there, so it was kinda surreal being back again. But it was nostalgic in its own way, too."

"Feeling homesick, huh?" I sighed. "There is something I been meaning to ask. Why did you become a terrorist? It's obvious you hate Chancellor Osborne so much. That you are willing to take his life, no matter the cost. You must have a reason, right? What did he do to kindle that fire?"

"Yeah. I want to know that too." Rean nodded. "Tell us, Crow. Please. I want to know what it was that made you who you are now. What kind of place Jurai was, how you lived there. And what were you doing before you entered the academy and met Towa, Angelica, and George."

"Hah. Where's the fun in trying into a guy's past?" Crow asked. "Save all that talk for your number one in class you two. Who's the lucky girl, anyway? Alisa? Laura? Emma? Fie? And don't tell me it's Millium, because you know sh-"

I burst into laughter. "Bwahahaha! I can't deny is like a child, Crow. But trust me. I think I know who she has her eye set on."

"Let me guess, Jusis?"

"Yep. It will take a miracle for them if they begin dating."

"Hehe. I won't deny that."

"Come on guys." Rean sighed. "I'm serious, Crow. We really want to know. Think of telling me your past as paying off the interest you owe on that 50 mira. Because until I know-until WE know- we won't be able to move forward."

"You're really serious..."

"Trust me. He's always serious." I nodded. "He has been trying to get me to talk about my past. And recently. Now he and everyone know."

Crow got up and stood near the window.

"My past really isn't that big of a deal, you know. It's got nothing on yours, and Levi, that's for sure. Ifyou find yourself thinking, 'That's all?' when i'm done, well, I warned you. So, you really want to know?"

"Yeah. Nothing you say will change my mind." Rean answered. "Please. Tell us."

Crow sighed. "All right, you win. Like I said, it's just your run-of-the-mill sob story. pick up any history textbook, and you'll probably find a dozen others just like it. It's the kind of story that's so common, no one bothers to remember it. Like it never ever happened."

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - The Night Sky On That Day)

"Back in those days, Jurai was known as Jurai City. It was a city-state off the coast of northwest Zemuria that prospered through maritime trade with west Erebonia, and North Ambria, and Remiferia. It had a population of around 150,000 people, so it wasn't exactly a big place or anything. Because of that, the surrounding nations left it alone and let us live out our days in peace. We were pretty fortunate, all things considered. Until about 20 years ago. That was when the North Ambrian Disaster struck, and much of the Principality of North Ambria was turned to salt. As a result, trade on the worst west shore was reduced to virtually nothing. Day after day, Jurai's prosperity started to fade away. Still, it wasn't all bad. We had our fishing, our historic landmarks, our septium mines. We could make use of those to get trade going again, both to keep our state running and to help out North Ambria. In fact, the one who advocated that approach was the mayor- my grandfather. He was the last mayor Jurai City ever had. He was a stubborn old bastard, but he had this wry sense of humor and was well loved by everyone. I lost my mom and dad early, so he was my only living relative. Haha. He taught me just about everything a guy could know. He was like a mom, dad, and your old master rolled into one, I guess. Anyway, fast forward to ten years ago. Out of nowhere, we received this proposal from the Erebonian government. They said they wanted to extend a railway line from Heimdallr all the way to Jurai. e relived on the sea for trade before, but there wasn't any reason to believe we couldn't benefit from being connected to Heimdallr by rail. The proposal drew overwhelming support from the city's council, and as a result, my grandfather was forced to accept. Within a year, the city had all of its old life back and then some. The street were more bustling than ever. But keep in mind, this was a result of huge amounts of Imperial capital flowing into the city. Land and buildings we once treasured were bought up left and right. Everything became a target for investment; people only cared about money. Something similar supposedly happened in Crossbell, too, but unlike there, no opposition existed in Jurai. My grandfather sensed something was off, and he tried what he could to get the situation under control. Then one day, someone blew up the railway line leading to Jurai. Everyone demanded that it be repaired as quickly as possible-everyone except the Imperial government. Instead, they panned our national security arrangements for being insufficient and threatened to withdraw all Imperial capital. The city was left in an uproar like we'd never seen. Shares plummeted, and with no one able to certain the culprit's identity, chaos reigned. That was when he showed up. Chancellor Giliath Osborne, in his third year as representative of the Imperial government, personally came to Jurai. We then received a second proposal. The timing was too good to be true, really. Realizing this, my grandfather staunchly opposed the idea. He tried everything he could to convince the city council to reject the offer. Unfortunately, once you taste the sweet fruit of prosperity, it's hard to want to go back. The council, made of influential merchants in all their greed, jumped at the offer and tempted by the elimination of customs together with the tax breaks from being an SEZ, many of the citizens did, too. And during all that, they'd conveniently found a suspect behind the railway incident: My grandfather."

Crow wasn't kidding about his backstory. Still... for him to be wrongfully accused is just...unforgivable. Why would their own mayor do that. And even forced him to resigned and then become part of the Empire...

"Naturally, everyone knew my grandfather wasn't the one who did it. They knew who was really responsible. They just... turned a blind eye to the truth."

"So that's what let up to this... Those idiots back then were so full of greed... are disgusting human beings." I trailed off.

"What happen to him after that? Your grandfather." Rean asked.

"One day, he just up and died." Crow answered "Once he resigned, the whole affair with the railway getting blown up was all but forgotten. He lived comfortably in retirement for about half a year, fell ill, and that was that. He just... lost the will to go on, I guess. Like I said, he was the only family I had. I mean, I had plenty of friends even then, but I chose to leave it all behind. I was thirteen at the time. I wandered the land, doing whatever I had to get by. That was when I met old Cayenne, who happily indulged my hatred for the chancellor. And with his financial backing, I went out with the goal to find others who were just like me. That was the beginning of the Imperial Liberation Front. Gideon, Scarlet, and Vulcan were among those I' recruited. I'd also met Vita then. I only knew her as the woman who would often come to see Cayenne. She guided me to a place below the city of Ordis, and there slept the Azure Knight, Ordine. One after another, I overcame the same trials you did with your friends but alone. And once i'd proven myself worthy, Ordine accepted me as his Awakener. That was three years ago. I was sixteen. My preparation complete, I conceal my background and enrolled in a military academy near the capital. Everything I did, I did for the sole purpose of taking the chancellor's head."

So that's how it all started. The way I see it, it doesn't excuse his betrayal to Class VII, but I did understand why those events affected him. Guess I'll forgive him for now I suppose.

"I guess I understand now." I said.

"Come on, now. What's with the face?" Crow asked.

"Well, it is as my master said, the world itself is a cruel place." I answered. "Plus it's hard to think that the person who helped set up that whole concert was someone who had such a heartbreaking story. And if I'm being honest. I would most likely done the same. You would do anything and I mean EVERYTHING to get your revenge and avenge your grandfather."

"Hehe, I swear...I'm not trying to tell you both the chancellor was evil or anything. Still, there's no denying that he managed to outwit my grandfather. And he may have lost, but Pops always loved a good gamble. It's thanks to him that I'm pretty good at chess, card games...that kinda stuff. But… since you're here Levi. Is it true what Vita said? That you have the authority to sever my rights as Ordine Awakener? And you also remove my memory of what happen in Trista?"

"Yep. All through. I suppose I should return that memory back to you." I answered as I open my hand a small sphere appeared and then it went into Crow's head as he close his eyes for a few moments.

"Oh yeah. It's coming back to me. You were acting going to kill me. Are you still planning on it?"

"No. Not anymore."

Crow look surprised.

"I heard your story and it explains everything. So i'm going to let you live and atone for your sins. My master scolded me that I shouldn't kill you due to him reminding me something. However, I still plan on making you pay for your crimes. And I'm still planning on severing your right as Ordine's Awakener. But for now. I'll allow you to be Ordine's Awakener. Plus there is no denying that this country has many problems, and the chancellor is making things worst. I'm guessing you study those problem and become the clever and sneaky strategist. Still,I'm still pretty mad at you. If you want avoid my wrath, I suggest that you start thinking how you will make amends with not just me. But to everyone in Class VII."

"Levi..." Rean smiled.

Crow sighed as he scratch his head. "I honestly don't know how that's going to be possible. But If I want to avoid your wrath-

"Don't even say that you'll hide. I can find you, and I REALLLY mean it." I smirked.

Crow frowned as he turn around to the window. "That's going to be a tough one. But I'll tell you this, Levi. I've got a duty to clear up the mess left behind by my game. By thinking back how peaceful Jurai is. Which means ending this war and restoring peace." Then he turn around and wink. "So it's only when that's done that my game is truly over and I'll see what I can do." Then he patted Rean's head "Listen, Rean, Levi. I don't want whatever your decisions are to be influenced by my past, okay? Like Rufus said, you need to think long and hard what it is you're fighting for." Crow then went to the table and packed up the empty dishes and cups inside the basket. "Anyway, I think i've stuck around here for long enough. You both are going to be treated as visitors... well, sort of. It's about time for the higher-ups to head back to Heimdallr, so go ahead and pass the time however you want."

"However we want? What else can we even do here?" Rean asked.

Then I heard a small airship flew by. Rean and I looked through the window to see Cayenne, Rufus and Vita on the airship before it flew away. I honestly glare at Vita.

"There'll be no guards outside your room, so if you two wanna escape, be my guest." Crow said. "Just keep in mind that some members of Ouroboros and Zephyr are on board, too. Not to mention me, Scarlet and Vulcan. So if you're up for a gamble of your own, get ready to take all of us on."

"Sounds fun." Rean replied.

I chose to say nothing. Plus they are asking for the death wish regardless. Crow was quite bold too.

Crow then began to leave before he stopped near the door. "Oh yeah, one more thing. There's this real cute visitor in the guest of honor's room on the second floor. I think she'd perk right up if she saw you, so why not go pay her a visit? Just don't go making your girl jealous, 'key?" He winked.

"Crow, before you leave." I turn to him. "Remember this. Don't get cocky. Even if I do escape. I won't hesitate to strike anyone who gets in my way. Including taking your friends' lives. And Yours. So when I escape, the next time we meet, we will be enemies. So be prepared to be judged when I have you in the palm of my hand. Oh and, if you see Vita. Give her this message. "If we meet again. I will strike you down and tear you apart. Should you wish to avoid my wrath. You better find a way to make amends."

"Sure. Gotcha covered. It would be wise to take you seriously with your powers and threat like that. " Then Crow left our room.

(Trails of Cold Steel - Remains Sleeping Underground.)

"I'm guessing he means Princess Alfin. She did came with us after all. So then, shall we make a start on getting some info?" I asked.

"Yeah, we can make our choices after that." Rean answered. "You're not... actually going to strike him down, are you?"

"Of course not. That was just to scare him."

"I see. I'm glad..."

"Honestly, Rean... makes me wonder if i'm feeling emotionless again."

"Emotionless?"

"It's nothing. Shall we?"

We left our room, there were two doors on the opposite side. We went to the one on the right and Rean knocked.

"Hm? Come on in if you like." A familiar voice said behind that door.

"Exucse us."Rean said before we went in. When we were inside, we were met with a familiar woman.

"Hello there, you two." She greeted.

"Oh, Scarlet." I responded. "I was wondering if I would meet you again. Vulcan's here too, isn't he?"

She nodded. "I'd heard you both came on board yesterday, so I did wonder whether we would run into one another at time point."

"Last time we spoke was a month and a half ago near Trista, I think?" Rea recalled.

"Quite a memorable day for the both of us, wasn't it? There's no need to stand over there. Come and have a seat. I'll pour us some tea."

"Y-You really don't have to..."

But she ignore that as she got up and prepared tea.

"I don' think she heard you." I chuckled. "But there's no harm with having a little tea."

"Yeah. I guess."

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - The Warmth of Soaking One's Feet)

Plus this is a good chance to get some information. We sat by the sofas.

"These teas leaves really are wonderful, aren't they?" Scarlet asked. "Only the best for the airship of Erebonia's most powerful noble, I suppose."

"I have to admit, the fragrance is like no tea I've ever had before." Rean replied as I take a sip. "You're right, though. It makes sense if it's something Duke Cayenne personally chose."

"If you ask me. I say he's all high-headed when it comes to being fancy showing off his noble status and money." I said as I sip the tea. "While the tea is exquisite and how you prepared is breathtaking. I always wondered what kind of sweets suits this."

"Hehe. Good question." Scarlet chuckled. "That reminds me, Rean. I was under the impression that your family is part of the nobility. Your father is a baron, isn't he?"

"He might be a noble, but generally, barons aren't all that wealthy. We live a relatively modest lifestyle." Rean explained.

"Heehee. Oh, really? I wouldn't have though it before, but maybe my family was actually more well off than yours."

"Is that so? You lost your hometown as I recalled. You have my deepest apologize for what the chancellor has done."

"There's no need to apologize. C told me that you were founded in Nord right. You lived in a peaceful life with your caretaking like those Nomads."

"Yeah. It was wonderful. If Osborne were to dare try to pull some crap. I would try and stop him. No matter what."

"If that were to happen. We would get along splendidly."

"What kind of family did you come from, Scarlet?" Rean asked.

"Oh, they weren't nobles if that's what you're wondering." Scarlet answered. "They were just relativity wealthy farmers. We were almost local celebrities in a way."

"Life as a farmer, I can understand that." I chuckled. "But it leaves me a question? Why did you join the Imperial Liberation Front?"

"He's not the only one." Rean added. "I'd heard that you lost your hometown because Osborne built a railway through it."

"Oh, did C tell you?" Scarlet asked. "No, I suppose it must have been V. He never was one to keep quiet about things."

"So, I mean, what happened?" Rean asked

"Some things are best left unsaid, I think. It's like you with your powers, Levi."

I sighed. "Yeah, can't deny that. I remember how Rean and the others was so curious about the mysterious handsome boy who is their classmates. They were so curious about my background, almost like one of those romantic or mystery novels.

"Hehe. I wouldn't be surprised that it would turn out to be."

"Same here. Still, I was able to tell my friends about my past, so they understand me better."

"Good to know."

Rean was unsure of himself and Scarlet noticed. "You both are so adorable. Now I know why C took a liking to you two." She said. "What do you say? How about you come and fight with me and the other big girls and boys? It'll be fun, I promise."

"Please stop teasing me." Rean sighed.

"We have a difficult decision to make." I added. "We can't decide it just yet."

"Of course, there's no need to rush." Scarlet replied. "Anyway, that's all I'm telling you for now. I'll give either you or both the full story if you decide to join us, sound fair?"

"We'll think about it. Thanks for the tea by the way. Aside from the high-quality tea leaves, you brew exceptionally." I said

"Heehee. You're very welcome."

"Oh, actually, I may ask as well as while I have the chance." Rean said. "Where did you learn how to use that weapon of yours, anyway? It's pretty unique."

"Oh that? I suppose it can't hurt to tell you. The Holy City of Arteria."

"THE Artetia? Where the High Seat of the Septian Church is?"

"That's the one. It's called a templar sword, and it's a traditional weapons in the church. A few years ago, I was studying to be a sister and was trained in how to use it there."

"Oh yeah, my master told me about it." I nodded. "That mean you were trained by the Gralritter?"

"That's right."

"The Gralritter?" Rean asked.

"Well think of them as soldiers of the church." I explain. "Well in any case. Thanks for the Tea."

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Remain Sleeping Underground)

Rean and I got up and we thanked her for the tea before leaving her room.

"She was a lot friendlier it seem" I said.

"Yeah, but I wonder what she plans to do now that the chancellor is gone." Rean added.

"Who knows."

We went to the door next to Scarlet's and knocked.

"Huh? It's open. C'mon in." A familiar deep voice said on the other side.

I know that voice.

"Excuse us." Rean said.

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Strain)

We enter the room and see Vulcan sitting on the sofa.

"Oh, it's you two. You finished talkin' with C?" Vulcan asked.

"His name's Crow, not C." Rean sighed "And he's never going to be anything else for me.

"Heh. Oh, I know his real name. But to us, He's always gonna be C. That's out leader. He might be young, but each an' everyone of us look up to him and respect him."

"Now now, you two." I sighed. "Yes, we respect Crow regardless of what should we call him."

"Anyway, take a seat. You both got a whole lotta questions, I bet."

"Does you asking that mean you're willing to answer them?" Rean asked.

"Heh. Depends on the questions."

We took a seat and we had a few questions for him.

"Just out of curiosity, how many members does the Imperial Liberation Front have left?" Rean asked. "I know the explosion back in the mine was staged, obviously."

"Sure was. Anyway, ten, give or take?" Vulcan responded. "We lost most of our members as soon as the war started kickin' into gear."

"Is that because the group's primary objective had been fulfilled?"

"Basically, yeah. We all came from different backgrounds, but the one thing we had in common was that we hated that bastard's guts. So after he'd kicked it, most of the guys didn't really have any reason for stickin' around. Can't say I blame 'em for callin' it quits."

"I see, I guess the feeling of the aftermath can be taken in many ways. Some decided to finally live out in peace, while some were on a journey. And others just... whatever they want." I said.

"Like Crow said that seeing this war through to its end was the last part of his 'game'. Are the members who haven't left sticking around for similar reasons?" Rean asked.

Valcan chuckled. "Interesting questions. Can't speak for the others, but me? I don't really care how this war goes. I mean, I'm a former jaeger who can hold his own in a fight. I've always lived for war. And teachin' those dumbasses in the provincial armies how to pilot Soldats is a job worth doin', even if it's a pain. If we disband, I'll find myself somethin' else to do."

"I see." Rean replied. " I can't defend the assassination of the chancellor or what you did near Trista... But i'd be happy if you chose to disband, at least."

"Heh, you're a funny kids." Valcan replied. "Bein' oddly nice to us after the shit we caused, don't think?"

"Perhaps. Life is full of surprises." I nodded. "The cycle of hatred has gone long enough though. However, the crimes you Imperial Liberation Front, and the alliance have committed will never vanish, but no one wants this war to continue on. Unless you guys WANT war, do you?"

"Hmph. That's enough of the niceties. If you've got time to worry about us, use it to worry about yourselves. Whether you choose to side with the alliance or go against 'em, you've got a tough road ahead, whether you like it or not. Make sure to think long an' hard before you decide. And if we end up as enemies again, show me what you both got. On the battlefield, I mean."

"Sure." I said as I got up.

Rean got up next. "Excuse us."

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Remain Sleeping Underground)

We felt that we couldn't get more out of him, so we left his room.

"He saw right through us." I look at Rean

"Yeah. Though he's not wrong." Rean nodded. "We should be worrying about ourselves right now."

"Yeah. Still... doesn't he seem... different?"

"Yeah... almost like he lost his spark. His sole objective in life seemed to be to get revenge for his old jaeger corps killed by Osborne."

"I'm guessing he's just like he others. He doesn't know what to do with himself. Now that he got his revenge."

"Yeah." Rean nodded.

We then walked across the hall area before we noticed Bleublanc without his mask.

"Good day to you, Rean Schwarzer and Levi Sullivan." He greeted.

"Ah, its Phantom Thief B." Levi replied before taking a seat. "Actually no, you're Bleublanc without the mask, right?"

"Haha, well remembered."

"You sure look... comfortable. What are you doing here?" Rean asked.

"Haha. Why wouldn't I be? I'm as much as a guest on this ship as the two of you. And who would deny themselves the pleasure of a ship so beautiful? The furnishings are immaculate, the food and wine are positively sumptuous, and I am of the firm belief that it's wasteful not to take advantage of the opportunities life presents you. Ah, and speaking of opportunities. Don't just stand there! Take a seat, and join me in having a drink. You two have been blessed with the rare chance to sit and chat with the most beloved thief of our time."

"Pttf... Hehehe..." I covered my mouth holding in my laughter.

"I can't believe that's how you describe yourself." Rean sweatdrop.

"Bwahahahah! 'beloved thief of our time'?! Ahahahaha! That's hilarious! I'm dying of laughter! Ahahahaha!"

"And there he goes." Rean then begin to think for a moment then. "Oh, what the hell? I'll have a drink. Nothing alcoholic though."

I calm my laughter. "Hahaha, same here."

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Strain)

Well after that good laugh of how Bleublanc describes himself which is the most ridiculous way. Rean and I sit down but i still feel irked to be in his presence. So after the butler got us our drinks.

"Funny. I didn't realize you'd met Prince Olivert." Rean said.

"Heh. Indeed. There are few even among royals whose palate is so refined as his. Between our shared love of beauty and fundamental difference of opinion on the nature of love. He forever remains an endless source of entertainment for me."

"I suddenly feel very sorry for him."

"But I did hear what happen in Liberl. It was spectacular." I said. "Although it was my first time reading news."

"I'd heard there were problems with orbal technology in southern Erebonia at the time, but I had no idea that was why."

"That magnificent floating city was quite the sight to behold, let me tell you. Oh, how I wish I could have shown it to you two! It would have changed your view of the world completely."

"Floating City? Wait, you mean the Liber Ark don't you?" I asked

"Oho. I had the assumption that you have never heard of it."

"Well, I have never seen it in person. But I have heard of it. The Liber Ark... The floating city that a faction of the ancient Zemurian civilization lived on before it settled on the land below and founded the kingdom of Liberl. It was granted and powered by the Aureole. The Sept Terrion of Space."

"Haha. I'm quite impressed that you know about it's existence, Levi Sullivan. There aren't many who know about it and known of it existence."

"Well, it was part of my education. But I had no idea that the ancient floating city would appear in Liberl. I'm guessing your group have something to do with it?"

"Haha! Why of course! A thief of my caliber can steal much more than objects. There, I was able to steal much of your time... and your interest. Perhaps I stole your heart as well?"

I burst into laugher. "Ahahahaha! Are you trying to kill me?! Ahahahahah! Like hell that will ever happen! You're funny, I'll give you that. But there is no way in hell that will ever happen. It's not like I'm interested in you or a thief. I just don't have a type, nor experience in romance."

"Oh is that so? Worry not dear Sullivan. Love is a mysterious and beautiful thing in the world. Love is power, just as love is an powerful emotion that make you feel warm. Loves in all form. There is no doubt a young man like yourself who's beauty is that of an angel would have many admires."

"Well I can't deny that either. Back in my school life. I gain a lot of attention by both boys and girls. Many girls wonder which house I belong too. And boys seem to either mistaken me for a girl or just flirted with me."

"Well you cannot blame them. Many might say you were their love at first sight. You never experience love yourself?"

"Sadly no. I don't know what love is. There are some emotions that remain alien to me."

"I honestly can't believe the two of you are having a friendly conversation like it was normal." Rean sweatdrop.

"Oh yeah... come to think of it. It does feel weird. Espcually with a wanted criminal. Waaait... are you trying to gain some intels about me Bleublanc?"

"Who can say. I can't deny that you have a mysterious background, who beauty of an angel, and powers who illuminate as light itself."

"Okay then mind if I ask you a question." Rean asked. "You wouldn't happen to know where Prince Olivert is now, would you? Last I checked, he wasn't actively fighting against the alliance."

"Haha. I imagine Duke Cayenne would welcome a man like the prince with open arms into the alliance... if he so wished to join. To my knowledge, he was always wary of the chancellor himself. But I digress. I'm afraid not even I know where he is at the moment. However, i'm inclined to believe that wherever he's hiding, the Crimson Wings is there with him."

"So the Courageous is missing, too, then."

"Although, the duke's got nerve if he expect Prince Olivert to side with him after he imprisoned the rest of the Imperial family." I stated.

"But think: these kinds of things are simply what the great nobles of this country have always done." Bleublanc pointed out. "The War of the Lions, too, was brought about by numerous families of some standing backing potential successors to the throne. Emperor Dreichels, as a late arrival to the war, was a mere exception to the rule."

"Well, I can't deny that. Honestly. The class system of Erebonia caused problems like that. Nobles, commoners? I would like it better if nobles weren't so disgusting and disgraceful with their titles and power and treat commoners like they're nothing but bugs on a windshield. I would like them to be honorable and treat commoners with respect and love."

"That is what Duke Cayenne is planning to do. Although I have my doubts. But back to Prince Olivert. Does he think himself as the second coming of Dreichels?"

"I don't think he does." Rean answered. " From what I can tell, he intends to try and end this war in a slightly different way from Dreichels."

"Oh? Do tell." Bleublanc amused.

"Sorry, but we should be going." Rean said as he got up and I got up. "Thanks for all the interesting stories. They helped me work through things in my head a bit."

"Same here." I nodded.

And for some reason, he put his mask back on. "Haha. I'm pleased to hear it. I will be waiting at the edge of his seat to hear which path you two choose. Join us, and you'll be warmly welcomed. Naturally, I'm fascinated by you as the Ashen Knight's pilot, but i'm even more fascinated with that brute strength of yours, Rean. I would love the chance to see the power of an ogre up close. As well as that power of light within you, Levi."

"It would blind you." I bluntly said.

"I doubt it's half as interesting as what you're thinking." Rean sighed. "Anyway, if you excuse us."

(Trails of Cold Steel - Remain Sleeping Underground)

After our discussion with Bleublanc was over, we went over to the four rooms, we went to the bottom left. Rean went inside right away.

Wait... shouldn't Rean supposed to knock then just-

"Wh-Who goes there?!" A familiar female voice shout on the other side of the door.

There it is. I knocked on the door.

"Is everything okay in there, Rean?" I called out

"Oh, isn't that your friend, Rean?" The familiar voice asked. "Please come in!"

I opened the door and went in, closing the door behind me and seeing Duvalie and Rean.

"Well, at least you have the proper manners to enter a lady's room." Duvalie said.

"Oh, I remember you. You were that cocky girl in armor. Duvalie the Swift, no? From Ouroboros?" I asked

"C-Cocky!? The nerve!"

"Oh really? I seem to recall that you were smirking at Laura when she ask you a question. And then when you replied you won't tell her and claim that she would be in agonize in pain by thinking. And when it backfired, you end up losing your composer."

Duvalie grumbled.

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Spirit Cavern)

"All right. I think that's enough of the teasing. I apologize for my friend who walk into your room unannounced."

"Hmph. I suppose I'll accept your apology since you seem to have better manners than him. Now then, what do you two want? Have you both come to tell me that you'll be fighting on our side after all?"

"I wouldn't jump to conclusion if I were you."

"Levi's right. Please don't." Rean nodded. "Besides, it's not like you're working with the alliance because you agree with what they're doing.

Duvalie nodded. "Oh naturally. Lady Clotilde seems to have a purpose of her own, ut for my part, I have no obligation to help the alliance Whatsoever.. I'm simply cooperating because I was told doing so was necessary to the plan." Duvalie answered

"Plan? Just so we're clear, that lord you keep mentioning isn't Vita Clotilde, is it?"

"No. She may be an Anguis like her, but my lord is the Seventh, not the Second. She is the leader of the Stahlritter, the great light which guides us. Gallant yet beautiful, proud yet merciful. She's the strongest knight of all! And oh, she's simply DIVINE!"

"You idolize your lord, don't you?" I asked

"Why of course." Duvalie proudly admits it with a smirk on her face.

"Wait I'm confused…" I said.

"About what?"

"If your lord is a woman… then you shouldn't you call her Lady instead?"

"That did concern me back but my lord insist it."

That doesn't give much answers. But I'll take what I can get.

"So the head of the Stalritter is also a woman?" Rean asked

"She certainly is. And if you must know, a hundred swordsman of your strength couldn't hope to equal her. No. A thousand! Even ten thousand of you wouldn't be able to so much as scratch her!"

"Is it because her title as the 'Steel Maiden?" I asked

"That's correct. It's a fitting title for my lord."

"How interesting."

This lord of hers is an interesting character. Still, Stalritter, Eisenritter. Doesn't that sound like Lianne Sandlot?

"Heehee. I see I've got both of you thinking."

"You're saying not even thousands of soldiers can't take her, right. I was just curious how strong she is. If she is that strong as Mcburn. Then that mean I have another person I plan on reaching the heights of strength and skill."

Duvalie smirked. "Well you can certainly try. But my Lord's strength is unrivaled. And with that, I believe that's enough idle chatter. If you haven't made the decision to fight on our side yet, then we remain neutral. That is, until you decide not to fight with us, in which case we remain enemies. As such, we shouldn't be standing here being friendly with one another."

"All right, Fair enough." I replied. "Let's go, Rean."

"Umm, right." Rean added. "Sorry for bothering you. Actually, there was one more thing I wanted to ask. You're not an Enforcer like Bleublanc or Sharon, right? Is there any reason for that?"

I recalled Master told me about Enforcers. They are selected by the Grandmaster of Ouroboros. And in order to be selected as one and given a number, they needed something that is a 'darkness' to them. Basically. It means that the Enforcer must have a dark past or trauma they experience that made a deep impacted in their life. Otherwise whoever doesn't is ineligible to become an Enforcer.

"B-But just so we're clear, there is NO correlation between having a number and one's strength, all right! I'm quite strong!" Duvalie stated

"We believe you. After all, you did earn your title by your strength and speed alone, by the guidance of your lord of course." I nodded.

"And it makes perfect sense." Rean nodded. "You don't strike me as someone who's carrying any kind of 'darkness' with you. You're refreshing... sincere. Like someone who hates anything that strays from the path of righteousness."

And then she blushed? Oh my, she is!

"I'll th-thank you not to spout such nauseating drivel in my presence!" Duvalie blushed in embarrassment.

I chuckled. "Alright, alright. Let's go, Rean." I then grab Rean by hand and then drag him out of Duvalie's room.

(Trails of Cold Steel ost Remain Sleeping Underground)

Then Duvalie close her door.

She sure has her own reasons, but I got the impression that she would tell more if we joined.

"The Steel Maiden..." I close my eyes and think. That's the name of Ouroboros strongest members.

"You're thinking about her, too, huh?" Rean asked.

"Yeah. The Eirsenritter, the Stalritter..."

"I wonder... Could the Steel Maiden have some connection to the Lance Maiden?"

"Good question. We don't know until we met this 'Steel Maiden' in person."

"Do you think the woman who helped us during our field study back then was her?" Rean asked

"That's another good question... but..." I close my eyes. "Could it be...?"

"Be what?"

"Oh, it's nothing." I answered. Could this Steel Maiden be the same person back in my childhood and the same in Lohemgrin castle?

"Hey um... Levi." Rean asked as he look done. "Your hand."

I look down and see the holding hands.

"Oh, sorry." I let go of his hand. "Okay. Let's discuss this another time. Otherwise Duvalie might overheard us."

"Yeah."

We went to the door in front of Duvalie's room. Just before we were going to nock.

"Hmm? We got a visitor?" A familiar voice on the other side ask

"Come on in." said the other familiar voice

They sense us?

"Excuse us." Rean said and then we begin to enter the room.

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Law of the Battlefield)

In the room were the two jaeger men we battled before, Xeno and Leo.

"Haha. Figured it was you two, 'sup?" Xeno asked.

"Have a seat." Leo added. "Bourbon?...I suppose not."

"I'm afraid we're not old enough to drink yet..." I replied.

"How can you guys be so friendly, though?" Rean asked. "I mean, we're on opposing sides and all."

Xeno chuckled. "Why wouldn't we be? It's not like we're on a battlefield right now. We're jaegers. Nothing usunual about us tryin' to cut some throats one day, then sittin' in a bar with the same guys the next."

"Of course, if you would rather fight with us, that can be arranged." Leo are replied

"Yeah. as MUCH as I would love to. No." I shrug. "I'm pretty sure I can take the both of you on but I don't know Rean can keep up."

"And i'm still curious how strong you are as well, Levi." Rean sighed.

"So far it's debatable. But I think I'm on par with Rufus. But I can't be for sure, since we were holding back a bit."

"Oh yeah, it does look like that." Xeno replied.

"Agreed. Although both of you were holding back. The sight you both was indeed a sight to behold." Leo nodded. "It would be a worthy fight if we were to go on our full strength."

"In any case, come on, sit down with us."

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Iron Command)

We took a seat on the chairs.

"So How is Fie doing in the academy? What's her school life going?" Xeno asked

"Fie is doing wonderful." I answered. "Back then when she and I first met. We were the only two who dodge the trap let by our instructor."

"Yeah. Fie is also the youngest among all of us. Despite that, she helped us a lot too. At first, she was being a solo fighter and like to takes nap. But soon she begin to warm up to us." Rean added

"She's an incredible fighter. With both speed and strength. She truly earn her title as Sylphid. She also became close friends with two of our classmates, Laura and Emma."

"She's also a member of the Gardening Club. During our Midterm exam. She score in 72nd place in out of 100."

"Heh. Oh yeah?" Xeno asked after hearing about Fie's progress. " Ranking 72nd for a year in an academy full of big-shot students ain't half bad. Brings a tear to my eye to see our little Fie putting her heart into her education."

"And don't forget, she was the youngest of her classmates, too." Leo added. "The boss was right when he said that she can do anything she puts her mind to."

"You got that right. Maybe joining the Gardening Club'll make her a bit more ladylike, too...ah who am I kidding?"

"She's still young. She has plenty of time to develop on that front if she so pleases."

'They really adore her, huh?' I whisper to Rean.

'Yeah. Like two proud parents talking about their child.' Rean whisper. 'And yet...'

'Yeah...'

"If you don't mind me asking, why DID you leave Fie behind?" Rean asked. "After your boss was killed in a battle with his sworn enemy, I mean."

"Oh, Fie told you about that?" Xeno responded. "Sounds like you're closer to her than I thought you were."

"I trust this is simply me being paranoid." Leo glared at us. "But you two haven't tried making any moves on her, have you?"

That took us by surprise.

"No, of course not!" Rean exclaimed. "I wouldn't dream of it!"

"Same here!" I exclaimed

"We just want to know why you'd abandon her when she obviously means so much to the two of you!" Rean said. "She thought of you like family. Why did you leave her all alone?"

"Well...we had our reasons let's leave it at that." Xeno answered. "I know you wanna know, but we're not the ones you should be telling that to."

"We'll be sure to tell Fie our reasons in due time." Leo said. "Until then, leave the issue be."

"All right, I can accept that." Rean replied. "Still, she's our classmates, and in that sense, she's like family to me-to us- too. And we feel that way about her just as strongly as you do, if not more so. We want to be perfectly clear on that."

Xeno chuckled. "Fighting words right there."

"Still, we'll remember you said that." Leo nodded. "Returning to the matter at hand, Rean. You're sure you haven't tried to make ANY moves on her?"

"C'mon, spit it out!"

They sure are acting like her fathers. How lucky Fie is.

"We swear for Aidios sake." I sighed.

And so once we convince them that. We left their room

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Remain Sleeping Underground)

"I was hoping to get a bit more out of them about what Zephyr is up to." Rean sighed

"Yeah... But all we did was talk about Fie the whole time." I also sighed then smiled. "Still. At least we know they still really care about so."

"Yeah. It wasn't a waste of time.

We resume and then we begin to head to the door next to Duvalie. We sense someone is inside. I'm guessing it's one of the people who attack Ymir. I knock on the door but no one answered. Rean grab the doorknob and see it's open.

"Huh? It's open."

"Looks like it." I said. Then Rean went in. "Wait, Re-" But too late. "-an... Oh boy." I had a bad feeling about this.

"It's empty... Weird. We could've sworn we sense someone in here." Rean said.

Then something got his attention and then he approached it and the door close. "I think it would be best for me to wait out here." One minute later. "Huh... Nothing happened. Guess I'll-" I heard a commotion. "There it is..." and knocked on the door. "Rean, are you okay in there?" I asked.

"Hm?" A familiar voice replied. Oh it's Altina

"Oh...it's Altina...may I come in?"

"Yes...you may." Altina answered

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Strain)

I entered the room to find Rean on one knee and the Black Doll present. I sweatdrop as I palmface.

"Yep. I knew it. I knew something like this would happen. I did say you have a knack of getting into trouble." I sighed. "Rean. I know I'm new to society, but even I have common sense than just waltz into someone's house. And in this case, their room. You also realize we're in the guest area, right? This is what happened when you enter someone's room without permission. We're not at your family home, you know."

"Ha ha, laugh it up." Rean frowned. "Oh, whatever. I suppose it's my own fault for coming in without permission."

"Altina, I deeply apologize for my friend's actions. I want to let you know that I will not commit any action that treads the line of perverted desires or temptation."

"Hmm, very well, I accept your belief." Altina replied. "But as for your friend. You claim to have no inappropriate motives for sneaking into this room?"

"Not claim! I really didn't!" Rean exclaimed

"But once you walked in, you fell victim to temptation and choose to act in accordance to your desires."

"Rean... did you really..." I blink.

"No! No, I didn't! Levi, you know I would never do such a thing, would you!?"

"I was making a joke." Altina interrupt.

"That was a joke?" I blink and then. "Pttf... Ahah... Hahahahahaha!" I burst into laughter. "Oh, this is hilarious! Altina actually got you! Baaahahahahah!"

"Well, at least your friend understand my sense of humor."

"Levi laugh easily." Rean frowned.

"You're making it sound... tahahaha! like it's a bad thing... hahaha!" I couldn't stop laughing and then I calm down the laughter. "Phew. That was priceless. Altina, thank you for that."

"Your welcome." Altina replied.

"Still. I vouch for Rean. He wouldn't do something like being a... how you call it... a pedophile?"

"Levi! Don't say things like that!" Rean exclaimed. "I would never! Nevernevernever!"

"Okay calm down! I know you wouldn't! I'm sorry I brought it up."

"If I may." Altina interrupts. "Had you any intention of harming me, Claiomh Solais would have attacked you. That he didn't proves your innocence."

"Oh, right..." Rean sigh of relief.

I approached Rean and help him up. "You feeling okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine." Then he look mad at me. "But did you serious have to bring THAT word?!"

"I'm sorry okay! Look, if it make you feel any better. I will make it up to you. I swear! You can hit me or even do anything to me! But it was your own fault that you barge in here! You even admit it!"

Rean sighed. "It's fine. You're right. I know you didn't mean it. Just try not to make it out like i'm some sort of pervert."

"Of course. Just be careful and be more aware. You can be dense and oblivious many times and times like this. Otherwise, other people would think that. It really is a good thing that I came with you. Someone has got to look out for you. Don't worry, just like back in Roer, I'll clear the misunderstanding."

"Thank you, Levi. Honestly... I really made quite a mess, huh?"

"You did. But I'll do my best to clean it up. In any case. Altina was just joking, so your name is cleared."

"Yeah, you're right. Anyways, as Levi pointed out my name is cleared. I'll see you some other time, probably."

I was surprised by that. Altina was too.

"If that's what you want to do, you didn't come to ask me anything, then?" Altina asked

(Trails of Cold Steel II - Phantom Glimmer)

"Well, no. Honestly, we didn't even know you were in here. We do have a lot we LIKE to ask you, though. But okay, if you're offering. What are your reasons for helping the alliance?" Rean asked. "Why do you have a puppet just like Millium's? Just who are you?"

"The answer to your first question is: that I was ordered to do so. As all information regarding Claiomh Solais is confidential, I am unable to answer your second question. And as for the last one, I am unable to fully comprehend the depth of your question."

Rean sighed. "Oh, forget it..."

"Why don't you let me do it." I told Rean. "Altina, I believe what he meant to say is where did you originally hail from before you were recruited to join the alliance?"

"The Black Workshop." She answered. "That's the name of the place I belonged to. It was they who loaned me to the Noble Alliance."

"I see...and did Millium come from The Black Workshop as well?"

Altina hummed. "Unless you choose to join the alliance, that is the most I'm able to disclose with you."

"Fair enough."

"The name doesn't ring any bells..." Rean hummed. "And loaned? That makes it sound like... I suppose it's none of our business."

And then Rean petted Alina's head like he does with Elise. Rean smiled at her a little. "Thanks for telling us. I'll be sure to remember that name."

"I can't see you doing so holding any real purpose for you." Altina said

"Alright, let's leave this room before you make a second mistake." I said

"Alright...see you around, Altina." Rean waved

"Yes, we shall meet again whether as allies or enemies." Altina replied. "Incidentally, did you have any untowards motives behind what you just did?

Rean sighed. "No, I did not."

(Trails of Cold Steel - Remains Sleeping Underground)

We left the room and I sighed.

"That was certainly something." I sighed.

"Yeah..." Rean nodded. "The Black Workshop... Loaned... Sounds like stuff worth remembering."

"Yeah." I nodded "We should ask Millium about it too."

"Yeah."

We went to the last door and Rean suddenly clutched his chest while I felt that presence again before.

"You okay?" I asked in concern.

"Y-Yeah... i'm fine." Rean answered as he refocused and we knocked before entering the room.

"Huh?" A voice asked.

Yep, that sounds like McBurn.

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Practical Exam)

"Oh it's you two." Mcburn said. "Forgot you both were staying here too."

"Yeah..."

I notice Rean look lost in thoughts. Did that heartbeat reaction he did reacted?

"So, what's up? I couldn't give a damn whether you join the alliance or not, to be honest."

"Oh, we didn't come here for any specific reasons." But then he notice something. Could we sit and talk to you for while."

He sighed. "What a pain in the ass…" Mcburn then turn to me. "Well… almost a pain in the ass."

We each sat on a chair and McBurn sat on the sofa.

"So, what do you wanna ask?" McBurn asked.

"When we ran into each other back near Bareahard, you asked a weird question." Rean answered. "Something about being mixed?"

"Oh, that?"

"I didn't have the chance to figure out what that meant at the time… but what DID you mean?"

"Don't know if I can even explain that one. It's just something you feel. What we've got mixed into us is obviously different in strength and nature. It's kinda hard to put into words."

Ahh… I think I understand… So Mcburn is someone who is 'Mixed' from something that is outside of this world. But for Rean… hmm…

"Yeah, seems that way." Rean replied. "I know you're not trying to confuse us on purpose, but I really can't wrap my head around what you're saying."

Mcburn sighed "Just watch."

McBurn held up his hand with two fingers up and a flick of flame appeared.

"There's no trick to it." McBurn said. "I'm not using an orbment, it's not magic and I'm not using an artifact, either. I just will fire to appear and it does."

"So it's just a totally unnatural ability?" Rean asked.

Ahh... So this is what Master meant. By unnatural and mixed.

The fire from his fingers disappeared and he put his arm down. "Yeah, I guess you could say that. Something that just gives you results without the processes you'd actually have to go through to obtain them. You got one too, right?"

"Well..."

"It's the same kinda thing. People who can do things like that usually have something 'mixed' into them. Something foreign- unnatural- mixed into their body itself, different to the church's Stigmas. Looks like a pretty small part of it in your case, though."

"Oh..." Rean rested his hand on his chest.

"There, huh?" Mcburn asked "Alright. Now it's my question for your silver hair friend."

"What do you want to know?" I asked

"I'll ask again. Are you like me?" Mcburn asked

I close my eyes and try to think carefully for a few moments.

"I'm waiting for an answer."

"I'm not exactly 'Mixed' like you. I was born with it." I answered

"Born with it?" Mcburn eyebrow but look like he click "Ohh… I get it now."

"So… what are you two talking about?" Rean asked

"It's something you can't understand."

Did… did he cover for me?

"Anyway, I couldn't tell you how, where, or why whatever it is got mixed into you. Sure you've got more questions, but sorry, I can't answer them."

"No it's okay, you've told us enough already." Rean replied. "I feel like I understand myself a little better now, actually."

"Heh. Good for you, I guess? So, we done now?"

"Yeah. Thanks for your time." As Rean and I got up." Oh yeah. So how much of you is unnatural?" Rean asked.

McBurn smirked at us. "All of me."

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Remain Sleeping Underground)

I blinked. Just as I was going to leave with Rean.

"Oh, Silver hair."

I turn around and see Mcburn smirked.

"I'm not exactly done with you just yet. Your friend can wait outside. I still got questions for you."

I sighed and then turn to Rean.

"Okay. I'll wait outside." Rean nodded and then exit the room and then sit back down. Then I snap my finger and a sound barrier appeared.

"Anything else?" I asked.

"Yes. So if you're not like me… then what are you?" Mcburn asked

"Honestly. Not even I know. I was told I was born with it. I can only remember when I first woke up. I was seven years old. What happen when I was six years old or younger, they're all blank."

"I see…Well, there is no doubt you're human. Yet you are similar situation as I am. But you were told? By who?"

"From my master."

"I see. And who is your master?"

"A hermit who found and raised me. He taught me everything. and guided me to use my powers. In fact. He also told me about you."

Mcburn look surprised. "Is that so? That means he knows me. Where is he?"

"You won't find him. He's good at hiding. And I doubt where he raised me won't do you any good either." I answered

"I see. Interesting. Alright. That's enough for now. You and I have something in common it seems. In a way, we're sort of akin to each other."

"Yeah… except I'm fully human… while you… well… Half of you is. And half of you are not of this world."

"Hehe. So you notice. Were you told by your master?"

"Yes and no." I answered. "I figured out what you and my master mean by 'mixed' as I look at you.. or rather... examine you. But why exactly someone like you… who is from the Beyond doing here?"

"That's actually a good question. Still, it does make me happy to know that there is someone else within this world who is not bound by the law of this world."

"I guess so."

"So what is your power?"

"Otherworldly magic, and Light, I will only tell you those. And I would appreciate if you don't tell anyone. I had a feeling it will be discovered eventually."

"Heh. Alright. Looking forward to seeing you again. And who knows. Maybe I might even call you my little bro."

"Little bro, huh? Heh… for some reason. I like it."

And then dispel the barrier and then exit his room and sigh of relief.

"Are you all right?" Rean asked in concern. "He didn't do anything to you, did he?"

"No, I'm all right." I answered as I smiled. "All he did was ask some questions about me and who I am."

"So you told him your secret?"

"Just only the magic and my power. Not the whole story as I told you and the others."

I should leave that part out that I know of Mcburn. It's for the best.

"But what about you?" I asked.

"Well... His circumstances seem very different from mine." Rean answered as he touch his chest. "Guess all i can do is remember what he said. Maybe there will come a time when it'll all make sense. I'm sure one day, I'll found out what this power of mine is. What the story behind me being given this power as a kid is. One day..."

"Yeah. Same with me to find out who I am. Well, that should be all of the members we can speak to." I said. "Shall we go to the second floor?"

"Yeah, let's go and see who it is." Rean replied.

We went to the main hall and up the stairs before crossing the floor way. We saw a door at the end, Rean knocked it.

"Yes? Who is it? Please come in." Said the familiar voice on the other side.

"That voice..." I turn to Rean in surprised.

"Excuse us." Rean nodded

We entered to see a massive guest room and a familiar person.

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Reunion)

"It seems I was right that this might be your room." I sigh with relief.

"Levi? Rean?!" Alfin responded.

"I had a feeling it was you, but I didn't dare to hope." Rean said.

Alfin rushed over and hugged Rean.

"Oh Rean… I'm so glad you're okay with Levi… when I was taken into this room… I thought I would never see you two again! This all feels like a dream..."

"It's not a dream." I replied. "It's reality and relieved to see you're okay."

"I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of this." Rean apologized. "If I hadn't been so weak and careless, none of this would've happened."

"You mustn't apologize." Alfin responded. "Simply being able to see you and Levi again is more than I could've hoped for."

After Alfin hugged Rean. Then she hug me.

"It's all right, Alfin." I replied back with a hug and petted her hair. "I know it was scary. But it was only for a short time. But we're both here for you now."

"Yeah." Rean nodded. "Though I might not be the most reliable person for the job. But I'm not going anywhere. Neither will Levi."

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Wholehearted Feeling)

"Yes... You're right." Afin replied as she calm down a bit and smiled. "Still. It is a great relief. I have been coop up in here for the rest of the day. What about the two of you?"

"Well, we were able to move around. Get some information. And here we are. Honestly, the nerve of him about joining the alliance." I answered. "Still... you have an idea what would that trash Cayenne would want from you?"

"I believe he's using me to suppress potential rebellion in areas occupied by the alliance, by having me address the people and calm then down."

"Figured. The scum."

"That is what he discuss with me. Still. The people all across Erebonia are uneasy about this war, and as princess, I should do what's within my power to help calm their nerves."

"But at the expense of your own feelings?" Rean asked as he place his hands on Alfin shoulders as he smile. "I know you want to help, but you can't be happy about being used as the alliance's puppet to deceive them. Plus, you've been forcibly separated from your family, your best friend..."

"Yes, but..." Alfin sadden but smiled as she sighed. "Oh, why bother? You see through everything, don't you, Rean? Anyway, putting my feelings aside. What do you plan to do now? I presume you don't intend to actually do what Duke Cayenne tells you to."

"Well..." Rean trailed off. "I'm... really not sure what to do. The longer this war goes on, the more people will suffer because of it. But even so, I don't feel as through siding with the Noble Alliance is the right course of action. And the same goes for the Imperial Army. I can't in good conscience side with them, either. There's so much to think about. You're going to be used as a puppet against your will. I have to act somehow to change things."

"That wasn't your fault, Rean."

"Ever since I was taken in by my family all those years ago. I tried to be a brother figure to her. I became the person I am today because of them. They've always loved me like they would a real son, and she's always treated me like a real older brother. You saw that power of mine, didn't you? And what I look like when I use it."

"Well... um... yes, I did." Alfin sighed.

That time those jaegers scum of Albarea send to adduct the princess.

"Back when I was a kid, something just like that happened. I ended up using it right there in front of her. She should've been terrified of me, but if she was, she never once let it show. She treated me exactly the same as before. And that was when I swore, deep within my heart: No matter what happened, no matter what I had to do, I would always protect her. And that's why I can't help but wonder... I can't help but wonder if now's the time to live up to that promise. If I should put her before everything else. Even if I have to ignore or outright betray my own personal beliefs in the process."

"Rean..." I trailed off as I close my eyes. Thinking what to say.

"As your honorary little sister, I order you to get a hold of yourself!" Alfin suddenly burst that out.

(Trails of Cold Steel ost II - To the Irreplaceable People)

Alfin the hug Rean from behind.

"Y-Your Highness?" Rean asked in confusion.

"I know Elise far better than you think I do! In fact, I'd even go as far to say I know her BETTER than you! Rean, she's already told me so much about what happened eight years ago. She told me about how that snowy day was what inspirited you to take up the sword. She told me how traumatic that moment was for you- how what happened stays with you even now! And she even told me that, while she hated how she felt, she felt the tiniest bit happy because of it! Becuase it meant that your attention, your guilt, and your sense of responsibility were directly towards her and no one else! And she knew more than anyone how selfish that was. She may have had other reasons for choosing to go to St. Astraia. But her main reason was that she didn't want you to keep feeling guilty because of her. More than anything else, she wanted to free you of your burdens."

Rean stood there in silent. She's right Rean. I had this burden of mine. Heck, even I was scared. And yet. It was because of my feeling, the help. I was able to use that power within me for good.

"You should know, when you joined Thors and were making new friends, and you finally seemed to be moving forward, she felt a little jealous, and even a little lonely at being left behind, but she was so very, very happy for you, too. So please, Rean. Please, don't use Elise to justify not choosing your place in this war. Because I know for a fact: she wants you, of all people, to carve your own path and find true happiness!"

She's right. After listening in more of Rean's feelings about his power, his burden, we really are two peas in a pod Rean. I was like you too. But... that all changed.

"How could I have been so blind?" Rean asked himself. "All this time, I thought I was trying to protect her... and it's been the other way around since the start. And that's not just true for her, either. Mom, Dad, Master Ka-fai. All my friends at Thors... They've been supporting me this whole time. How could I have missed something so obvious?"

"It's because you were too busy thinking about your burden too much." I said with a smile as I take Rean hand and smile "You were so focused on protecting others, that you stopped thinking about how relationships go both ways. Others try to support you, just as you are trying to support them. Do you remember what I've told you about my past? My burden? I was just like you. I was scared of these powers of mine. That I wasn't human. The power I hold... It is something beyond understanding. I feared all my life what would happen to me. I was so blinded as you are, so scared as you are. But... that all changed when the love and support of you... everyone in Class Vll, and even my master... everyone who supported me, just as they supported you. They, even my master, help me realize that there is no need to be so afraid anyone. No matter what they think of me, they will always see me, as me. And relieve that burden. Their love, and our bonds with them cleared our minds. No matter how strong the power we hold, as long as we think about them, the burden we had, can be finally be lifted. And we can use that power, for good. We're still us Rean. We're part of Class VII and always will be. Didn't you say that to me?"

Rean was speechless at first but he smiled in joy. "You're right... You're right, Levi. We really are two peas in a pod."

After this walk and the help of Alfin, Rean realized what he had been ignoring all this time. And because of that, I sense something different within Rean too. That dark power within him. It changed. Almost like the bonds purges that darkness with light.

"Are you, all right?" Alfin asked

Rean turn to Alfin. "I'm fine. And I got you and Levi to thank for that. Forget honorary- you sounded just like my real sister for a minute. So, thank you."

"I see." Alfin then looked at me. "What about you, Levi?"

"Me?" I asked

"Yes, you don't plan to follow Duke Cayenne's orders, are you?"

I pouted "Of course not. I'm not exactly pleased about the Noble Alliance, and siding with the Imperial Army would be more troublesome."

"I see..." Alfin said

"So obviously I'm not joining either side like Rean."

"Oh, that's wonderful!" Alfins cheered

"I had a hunch that would be the case." Rean smiled

"A hunch, huh? Are you trying to steal from me?" I joked

"Haha, of course not." Rean chuckled

"I think we been here long enough Rean."

"Yeah, I think it's time we get going. We wouldn't want your classmate waiting any longer than we already have."

"A pity, but you're right. Heehee. I was rather hoping we could say like this a little while longer, but I suppose all good things have to come to an end. Take care of yourself, Rean, Levi." Alfins replied as Rean shake his head and I chuckled. "What's with the head shaking and laugh?"

"I said It's time 'we' get going, didn't I? I don't mean Levi and myself. There's no way we'll leaving my sister's best friend imprisoned in a place like this. We WILL get the three of us off this ship. So, stay close to me." Rean answered

Woooooow Rean. That was so cheesy and Bold.

Right!" Alfins cheered

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Remain Sleeping Underground.)

"So, do you have an escape plan?"

"Well, I could teleport us out of here, but we can't leave Valimar behind." I answered. "Valimar is on the deck, right?" I asked as he look at Rean.

"Yeah. He's chained up there, but if we can get to him, I'm sure you can teleport us out of here. Do you think you can teleport us to the deck?"

"Yeah, I can.

"All right, then. Heehee. I never imagined I'd be running away from here with you two at my side… Elise is going to be SO envious." Alfins wink

"Ooh yeah. It almost feels like one of those spy or adventure novels where two handsome boys escape with a beautiful girl and galloping on horseback away from an evil fortress." I smirked

"Ohh you're absolutely right~"

"Haha… Anyway, let's get going." Rean nervous laugh. "Levi, if you would."

"Of course." I wink.

I begin to cast the magic circle and then teleported us to the deck. Then we arrived at the deck. However, I notice two presence. Damn!

"That's the Ashen Knight?" Alfin asked

"And we have two company." I sighed

Then two figures came out from hiding.

"Isn't that…?" Alfin asked "Crow… and…"

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Law of the Battlefield)

"Mcburn… how nice of both of you to join us in the deck." I replied.

"Well to be honest. I had a feeling you would use your powers to take the shortcut." Crow replied.

"Is that right? I suppose it does sound predictable. But I'm surprised that Mcburn here is with you. Is this him being your backup because you're too much of a forward to face me?"

"Ouch. Though I suppose I can't blame you for thinking that. Actually, this guy just wanted to have a nice chat with me. So it's pretty much a coincidence."

"I highly doubt that. But once again. You will stand in our way."

"Levi. Guard princess Alfin, I'll handle this." Rean said as he stop forward and draw his Tachi.

"Got it. Alfin." Levi said with his eyes close.

"All right." Alfin nodded

Me and Alfins step back.

"Can't say I'm not curious to see what that power of yours can do… But I think you get priority here, right?" Mcburn asked

"Yeah, let me have this one." Crow nodded as he brought his Duel saber.

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Blue Destination)

"This is your first time fighting me without the mask on, I think." Crow smirk. "With our Divine Knights, I came out on top. But let's see who wins when it's just the two of us."

"Sounds good to me." Rean nodded. "Although Levi bested you once in the catacombs below Heimdallr. But it's just you and me now. Ad this time, I'll be the victor!"

"Hah. Go ahead and try."

Rean and Crow begin to power up and they charge at each other and clash as we watch Rean and Crow fighting. Both of then clash and land some heavy hit on each other, and then Rean use his powerful crafts and landed a powerful blow on Crow, as Crow did the same thing in return. Rean then launched a powerful craft on Crow and then defeated him as Crow's duel saber was lunched away from him.

"He did it." I smiled

"Hah. You actually did it. I sure wasn't expecting you to beat me one on one. " Crow replied

"You fought pretty well yourself. It couldn't have been easy to last as long as you did against me like this." Rean said

Considering what we been through. It made sense Rean's skills has been hone. But then I sense many presences behind us.

"Oh geez… it seem we got more company…" I muttered and turned around and see everyone else we talk, except Scarlet and Vulcan to arrived.

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Seriousness)

I guess the fighting caught their attention.

"I was wondering what was the commotion was all about." Duvalie replied. "But how did you manage to sneak past us?"

"I'm guessing this must be Silver hair's doing." Xeno said

Great. We're surrounded.

"That wasn't a bad fight. Even if you lost, At least you tried, I guess." Mcburn said

I guess I have no choice but to use my powers aft- Hmm? I then felt something coming but with the presence of my classmates and the others. I smirked. I didn't expect this but perfect timing.

"Well... Look like I don't have to use my powers after all." I smirked

Then Crow look into the sky. "Look sharp!

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Awakening)

Then the Crimson Wings appeared and jumped out first was Sara, Claire, Toval and Sharon

"Sorry for the wait, Rean!" Sara wink

"Heh. Yo! We're here to save the day." Toval stated

You caught us all off guard back in Ymir…" Claire smirked

"So this time, we topped to take the initiative ourselves." Smirked Sharon

"We meet again, Severing Chains. And I see you've brought the Purple Lighting with you!" Bleublanc cheered

"She brought more than that. Check out the icy maiden and that Big-shot- arts user from the Bracer Guild." Xeno said.

"We couldn't ask for a more impressive group. However…" Leonidas said

"Here it come again." Altina report

The Crimson wings came back and this time who jump off was Viscount Arseid.

"Y-Your Lordship!" Rean exclaimed

"Uncle Victor!" Alfins cheered

"I wasn't expecting that." I smirked

"It's good to see you again, Rean, Levi. And it relieves me to see you're none the worse for wear, your highness." The Viscount respond

"Ugh… The Raident Blademaster is here, too!?" Duvalie muttered

"Well… You're strong. Very Strong." Smirked Mcburn

"That's quite the nod coming from the Blazing Demon himself. I can see now why you're considered one of the fiercest in Ouroboros. And why some even claim you to be the Steel Maiden's Equal." Viscount Arsied respond

"Well, I know who I'm gonna be fi-" "Don't you go forgetting about us, now!" Another voice called out

Then finally came in was my classmates. And prince Olivert.

"Look who finally show up." I chuckled.

"You're all here, too?!" Rean asked

"Are you okay, Rean?" Alisa asked

"L-Looks like we've landed in the middle of something pretty crazy." Elliot stated

"And not a moment too soon." Gaius nodded

"You came!" Alfin cheered

"I'm glad to see you all right. You certainly seem to have kept yourself busy Enjoying your scandalous elopement with Rean, or Levi, or both are you?" Olivert asked

Alfin sniffed with joy. "Rean gave me the time of my life."

And the rest of my classmates and I sweatdrop.

"You guys were having that much 'fun' huh?" Fie Grin

"And with our princess, Rean?" Laura asked

"Seriously, we really need to keep him on a leash."I smirked

"To think, we were so worried about you." Machias sighed

"You're not supposed to take it literally! And Levi, You're not supposed to agree with them when you were with me the entire time!" Rean exclaimed

"So this is what you throw me out of Valimar for? Doesn't look very fun." Celice scoff

Crow chuckled

"Crow… you're here." Emma said

"It feels like it's been ages since we last saw you." Jusis added

"You're lookin' spiffy, Crow!" Millium added

"I'm hangin' in there. Sure wasn't expecting all of you to show up, though… how're we even gonna settle this?" Crow asked

"That IS the question, isn't it?" Instructor Sara asked

"I'd roughly estimate both sides to be of equal strength…" Claire stated

"Yeah? So we'd probably just end up at a stalemate, huh?" Toval asked

"Well, that's doesn't sound like much fun at all. What say we just forgo the fighting and have ourselves a party instead?" Oliver asked

"Huh, for once I would like that." I said

"Hahaha! I could never turn down a party!" Bleublanc cheered

"Teehee. That sounds simply wonderful." Sharon cooed

"I'll bring the booze." Xeno replied

"I'll bring the snacks." I replied

"No, No, NO! Can't ONE of you take this a little more seriously?!" Duvalie shout.

"This is getting us nowhere." Altina bluntly said

"Every party needs a pooper, that's why they invited you. Party poooper. Party Poooper." I sing while blunt face to Duvalie

"Why you little-!" Duvalie anime tickmark.

Then a bird chirp and it reveal to be a blue azure bird.

"Look who decided to show up." Celine muttered

"Grianos! ...Vita!" Emma trailed off

Then a projection of Vita emerge from the blue bird.

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost Phantom Glimmer)

"Welcome aboard the Pantagruel Emma. Your overall ability as a witch might still be lacking, but that transportation spell was exceptional. I must apologize for the untimely intrusion. As displeased as a few of you might be by this idea, I think it best if we let one another peacefully go our separate ways this time. I'll be the one who bears the burnt of Duke Cayenne's anger." Vita said

"Vita…" Emma trailed off

What is she up too?

"Bah… I can't say I understand why we should…" Duvalie said

"It's not our place to question the orders of our clients." Leonidas nodded

"Eh, whatever. Give me something to look forward to later." Mcburn nodded

And then we begin to head our ways as the chain of Valimar is removed and then Rean enter Valimar and Crow enter Ordine.

"Okay. See ya, Fie." Xeno said.

"Next time we meet, it will be as enemies." Leo added

"Yep. I know." Fie nodded as she smile.

"Aww... I was hoping we'd be able to talk some more."Millium frown

"I expect we will have multiple opportunities to do so in the near future." Altina repleid

"Well, catch you later, Phantom Thief." Toval said.

"Or not." Instructor Sara replied. "You do know that no one likes your stupid pranks, right?"

"Tut tut! There's no need to be so harsh!" Bleublanc respond. "It's a shame we couldn't resume our debate on the nature of beauty this time, my most worthy rival."

"I could wax eloquent about beauty till i'm old and gray, but honestly, I think it's about time we settled things between us." Olivert chuckled.

"Next time we meet, Radiant Blademaster and his daughter, it will be to battle!" Duvalie announced

"Well, I certainly have no objection to that." Laura replied

"You seem to bear some manner of ill will against my household. I don't know your reason. But should we be granted the opportunity, I would gladly settle things with you in battle." Viscount Arseid said

I did see that Duvalie flinched "Y-Yes, well... L-Let's not be too hasty! I can wait..."

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Foward, Relendlessly)

"You've definitely grown, but you've still got plenty of room for improvement-especially when it comes to piloting Valimar." Crow said. "So unless you're up for another beatdown, I suggest you get to work on fixing that."

"Yeah. I know." Rean nodded. "Oh, just to confirm, YOU were the one who told Toval where I was, right?"

Toval did mention someone contact him and told him where Rean was... Is that really Crow?

"Oh, now that you mention it, he does have the same voice as that mystery caller!" Toval said. "I did think he sounded familiar... That must've been because I'd heard it during your concern at the festival."

"Damn. Look like the jig is up." Crow chuckled.

"You really did that?" Elliot asked with a smile

"Oh, Crow... There's no shame in admitting that you care, you know."

Then Crow pulled out that duel saber from his Divine Knight. "And if I might be so bold as to offer a word of advise: Get Valimar a better sword. One like yours. If you think you're such hot stuff you can beat me without your Eight Leaves training, you're in for a world of hurt."

He's right. Valimar needs a better weapon. And since Rean is an Eight Leaves practitioner, he needs a Tachi weapon for Valimar.

"All right. I'll take your advice." Rean nodded "And when I've got myself one, I'll finally take everything back. The academy, and even you, Crow."

"Hah. If that's how you want it. I'd like to see you try!" Crow smirked.

"So, later everyone. We'll meet again." I nodded. "Oh, and Crow. Remember what I said the next time we meet. And give my message to that bitch."

And so. Emma teleported us to the Courageous as Toval and the others jumped into the Courageous. And then we left the Panegual.

Phew! Finally. It took a lot longer then I thought. Still. Now for the next chapter! Oh right. I made a different Scene IF they escape in a different way then Levi's magic. If you don't want to see that, Feel free to ignore it and to the next chapter.

(Trails of Cold Steel ost Remain Sleeping Underground)

Rean, Alfins and I exit her chamber and then begin to head downstairs quietly and then we begin to enter our guest rooms and then we found a vent. Rean then look and see. "Thought so, It's a vent." Rean said

"Lucky us." I said

"Well, that's convenient. Might it lead to somewhere else on the ship, you think?" Alfins asked

"Most likely, Still…" Rean trailed off

"Rean, now isn't the time to be a gentleman." I sighed

"Well, I can't very well ask a princess to crawl through a vent…"

"Nonsense, Rean. Of course you can! I'm ready to begin our great escape!" Alfins cheered

Rean sweatdrop. "But it's going to be all dark inside… and probably filthy, too."

"A little darkness and dirt never hurt anyone. I had to travel through some fairly narrow underground passages when escaping from Heimdallr, too." Alfin replied. "All right! How about I go first? I'm smaller than you two, after all."

"No! Definitely not!" Rean exclaimed "Well, as long as you're all right with it… but Me and Levi be going first. Like I said before, stay close to me."

"Yes princess, stay close to Rean, cling to his arms as he takes you away." I joked

"Not helping Levi. " Rean sighed.

"All right, then." Alfin nodded

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Silent Exhalation)

Then we begin to remove the plate on the vent and then we begin to crawl into it. For a vent it's surprisingly clean.

"I'm surprised. It's not dirty at all in here." Alfin said.

"Must be because it's newly built or something." I replied

Then we pass a corner and Rean guesses we pass the guest area. Then we made it to the end and I place back the plate of the vent.

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost The Giant Silver Ship.)

"Whew… looks like we we're in the clear for that part of the ship, at least." Rean sighed

"My, that was intense. As Levi said. It's like I've stepped right into the world of one of those spy novels that are so popular these days." Alfin wink.

"Haha. Anyway, here's hoping we can make it to the deck without getting caug-" "Oh crap. We got company." I alerted them as he sense two Provincial army soldiers as they enter.

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - To Become the Foundation of the World)

Then we caught them by surprise and Knock them out.

"That should do it." I said as I put my Glaive away. "You okay Alfin?"

"Y-Yes, I'm fine. Thanks to the two of you, of course." Alfin nodded. "Let's be going. I'll be sure to stay very close to you two!"

"Good. All right, here we go!" Rean nodded

Then we begin to head to the opposite route and rush our way out of there. We encounter Archaisms too. We destroy them.

"Were they... mechanical monsters?" Alfin gulp.

"They're called Archaisms." Rean explain.

"They're machine created by Ouroboros." I added

We then make our escape and make sure we stay quiet…

"I don't suppose escaping through the windows would be an option." Alfin trailed off

"Not unless you want to fly. Which we can if we use my magic." I answered

"Ooh~"

"Yeah. Let's find a better option for now." Rean sweatdrop.

But then we two soldiers and a monster charge at us. But we defeated them.

"I'm shocked how skilled you are with arts…" Rean said to Alfins

"Yeah, you're one powerful mage Alfins." I added

"Heehee. You're two are so sweet." Alfin giggled

We continue to head to the open pathway and hope we won't cause an alarm. Then we continue to head to stairway and see a gate and then we were stopped by two familiar foes. Duvalie and Bleublanc

"How did you get ahead of us?" Rean asked

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Law of the Battlefield)

"Haha, I'll freely admit, I wasn't actually expecting you to join the alliance… But not even in my wildest dreams did I imagine you two try to flee the ship with our dearest princess!" Bleublanc answered

"You two are a bold one, I'll give you that." Duvalie added

"Bold, huh? I guess we are rather bold, aren't we Rean?" I asked as I smirked and draw my Glaive

"I suppose that is bold. But I wasn't expecting to run into either of you on the way out, either. You guys aren't called the Phantom Thief and Duvalie the Swift for nothing." Rean answered

"Hmph. Trying to praise us won't get us to let you pass." Duvalie replied

"Princess Alfin is one of this nation's most precious treasures. You surely couldn't have thought that I, the Phantom Thief, would allow you to steal her from us, could you?" Blueblanc asked

"I'm not being 'stolen' by anyone. If anything, I was the one who whispered sweet nothings into their ears and tempted them to run away with me." Alfins respond.

Rean and I sweatdropped of her bold words.

"Oh, my! What a passionate young lady you are! Forgive me for being so presumptuous. You've no doubt taken after your brother in more ways than one." Blueblanc replied

"I'd like to believe that I'm not QUITE the oddball he is. I couldn't agree more with his belief that love is the truest form of beauty, however." Alfin smiled

"Really now?" Bleublanc amused

"Teeheehee!"Alfins giggled

"Wow, these two are getting along." I sweatdrop

"Getting along too much if you ask me." Rean sweatdrop

"I think that's enough messing around for one day! You're an Enforcer, Bleublanc. Take your work seriously and BEHAVE." Duvalie scolded

"Haha. I think the number of Enforcers who take things seriously are in the minority, I'm afraid. Still, you're right about us having played around for long enough." Bleublanc respond and then draw his staff. "I find the many mysteries surrounding the both of you fascinating, but there's a certain appeal to them remaining forever unsolved, too."

Duvalie draw her sword and shield. "You may think you're a swordsman and spearman, but allow me to show you how little you truly know."

"My, My. What a cocky arrogant little girl you are Duvalie? You make me laugh if you think you can put us in our place. But rather, I think is you two who know little." I smirked

"But are you sure you two can take them?" Alfin asked

"We'll be fine. Don't worry about us. But Levi, watch the princess for me. The gap in skill between us is small enough that I should be able to force our way through." Rean nodded

"Oh?" Bleublanc amused

"Small?! The difference in our strength is like Night and day, you boor! And if you're foolish enough to be unable to see that… Then allow me to make you realize you folly and pay for your arrogance!" Duvalie growled

"The one being foolish and arrogant is YOU." Rean said and then he place his hand on his chest and then his black beastly aura came out.

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Blue Destination)

"W-Wait! Are you planning to use that power?!" I exclaimed

"I owe me being able to do this to you, your highness, You, Levi and Elise. No… Everyone who's done anything to aid us in coming this far deserves thanks." Rean replied and then hair color turn to white like it did before. "Raaaaaah!"

"Wh-What's happened to him!?" Duvalie exclaimed

"Could this be your Ogre power?" Bleublanc asked

"Eight Leaves, One Blade school, Intermediate Level…. I, Rean Schwarzer, will be your opponent! "

Rean than charge with incredible speed and launch a powerful Craft on them. It was far stronger than it was before. Rean then able to push them back with ease too. So this is his Ogre power? That's an interesting name.

"How can this be happening?! What IS he!?" Duvalie exclaimed

"Hahaha. Splendid! Simply Splendid! So you finally conquered your power and make it your own, did you? You continue to fascinate me, Rean!" Bleublanc praised

"Whoa…" I trailed off

"Rean…" Alfins trailed off as well.

"Forgive me, your highness." Rean said

"What for?" Alfin asked

Rean put away his sword and then he suddenly pick up Alfins Bridal style.

"Levi, follow me." Rean said.

"R-Right!" I nodded

Then Rean and I jump to the vents and hop next to the next exit and ran away.

"Haaaha! That was awesome!" I cheered. "So that master your Orge power huh?"

"Yeah. I'll be honest. I'm glad you were able to follow me. Otherwise, I might do the same to do." Rean said

"Well, aren't you charming." I smirked "Still. I'm so glad I was able to do the stuns you did to follow you as we ran. That's exactly why I train everyday."

"Me too. Remind me to follow in your footsteps. We'll make out way directly to the deck. Are you all right, Your highness?" Rean asked

"Y-Yes! Perfectly! My heart just feels as if it's about to burst…" Alfins cooed

"That doesn't sound very fun…" Rean trailed off.

"For goodness sake, Rean, that was a-" I sighed

"C'mon. Is now really the time to be flirting with each other?" A familiar voice asked

And up and Xeno and Leonidas.

"Oh boy…" I sweatdrop.

"You're here too?!" Rean asked

Then Xeno and Leonidas ready to block our path with their weapons.

"Heh. You've got some real guts, Kiddos. But you ain't getting pass us." Leo smirked

"Zephyr's guard shall not be easily broke-" Leoniads was caught off as Rean and I created many after images of ourselves and then jump over them and pass through them.

"Later!" I wave back as we continue to ran further

"I'm sorry about that, your highness!" Rean apologize.

"I-I'm fine! Don't worry about me! But.. umm… can I hold onto you a little tighter?" Alfins smiled and blushed

"Of course." Rean answered

Oh Rean… how gullible can you be?

Then me and Rean sense someone up head and it's Altina.

"Targets in sight. Commencing capture. My suspicions outlining you as indecent person seem to have been confirmed." Altina flatface said

I burst into laughter. "Bahahahaha!"

"Can you not make me out to be some kind of pervert all the time, please?!" Rean muttered

As Altina charge to attack. Rean suddenly place Alfins over his shoulder and then draw his Tachi and them push Altina out of the way and onto the wall. Then back onto his arms again as we ran.

"Wow Rean. That waaaay bolder then I thought." I replied.

"…" Alfin stay silent

"I'm so sorry, your highness… I didn't really have any have any choice but to do that, but I realize that's no excuse." Rean apologize.

"I-I know you didn't… But she… she seemed even younger than me. How could you, Rean?! That truly IS indecent!" Alfin pouted

Rean sweatdropped. "Umm… try not to pay any attention to what she says about me."

I couldn't help but laugh at this. Oh Rean. I was so right to come with you. You are so dense.

"There's the exit! " Rean said as he look ahead.

"Don't change the subject!" Alins pouted

Then we arrived at the deck. However, I notice two presence. Damn!

"That's the Ashen Knight?" Alfin asked

"And we have two company." I sighed

Then two figures came out from hiding.

"Isn't that…?" Alfin asked "Crow… and…"

(Trails of Cold Steel II ost - Law of the Battlefield)

"Mcburn… how nice of both of you to join us in the deck." I replied.

Rean then put Alfins down.

"Huh. So that's how it manifests from you." Mcburn asked

"You've finally mastered that power you got, huh? Still, you're one busy guy, you know that? One minute you're in the dumps, the next you've got one of the cutest girls In the country cheerin' you up." Crow chuckled

"Um, hello? What am I, Chop Liver?" I muttered

"Haha…. Well, I can't deny it. But she wasn't the only one. There was my sister, our classmates… even you, in a sense." Rean replied

"Come on…" Crow chuckled as he scratch the back of his head.

"Can't say I'm not curious to see what that power of yours can do… But I think you get priority here, right?" Mcburn asked

"Yeah, let me have this one." Crow nodded as he brought his Duel saber.

"Levi. Guard Princess Alfin, I'll handle this." Rean said.

"Got it. Alfins." Levi said with his eyes close.

"All right." Alfin nodded

Me and Rean then step back

But then Rean was on his knees and his Orge power shut off as I sense many presence behind us.

"Oh geez… it seem we wasted enough time…" I look back and then see the others who tried to stop us.

(Trails of Cold Steel ost - Seriousness)

"Well, aren't you Mr. Popular?" Xeno said

"But I think you may have been slightly too reckless this time." Leonidas said

"That wasn't a bad fight. Even if you lost, at least you tried, I guess." Mcburn said

I then felt something coming but with presence of my classmates and the others. I smirked. I didn't expected this but perfect timing.

"Hehe. Looks like our ride is here." I smirked

Well, that's the end of that extra scene IF they didn't use Levi's magic.
