Chapter 16: Camping With The Quints (Pt 2)
A/n: Alright, I have to explain myself. I decided to take a break from writing so I wouldn't get burnt out. I am extremely sorry because I know I wanted to continue this but I was too lazy and too burnt out to write more. Like I didn't even read any other fanfics during the short little break. That's how lazy and burnt out I was. Again, I am very sorry. Hopefully I'll make up for it by releasing more chapters but if not, then I'm probably being too lazy.
Also, I have fallen too deep into the vtuber/hololive rabbit hole. I've been watching a lot of Amelia and Gura. And I mean A LOT. I really like ame.
Okay then, let's get onto the story.
3rd Person Pov.
Fuutarou woke up to the smell of bacon frying on a pan somewhere. He sat up, rubbed his eyes and looked around the tent. The sun was shining through the mesh window that was open and the bed he was laying on was empty. Across the tent, there were two bodies still laying down sleeping. Fuutarou pulled off his covers and stood up next to his bed. He did a big stretch with his arms raised over his head and he closed his eyes while doing it. Once he was done, he grabbed a hoodie from his bag, unzipped the door to the tent, and took a step outside. He slipped on his slides and he made his way over to where the food was being cooked. As he approached the area, he could see Nino cooking some food with Yotsuba trying her hardest to cook right next to Nino. Itsuki was no where to be found near the little kitchen. Raiha and Isanari were also up and were sitting on some chairs talking. As Fuutarou reached the area where they were all staying, Yotsuba noticed him and yelled out loud,
"Ohaiyu Fuu!" Yotsuba greeted him.
"Ohaiyu Yotsuba." Fuutarou replied as he finally made it to them.
"How cute, she has a nickname for you Fuutarou." Isanari teased.
"Let me guess, everyone else also has one for you too, right?" Isanari asked.
"Uh, yeah. They all do." Fuutarou replied with a little hint of red on his cheeks. There was even some red on Nino's and Yotsuba's cheeks aswell.
"I want a nickname too!" Raiha yelled aloud.
"You dont need one, Raiha is just fine." Isanari told her.
"But... but.. Onii-chan gets one." Raiha looked at her dad with a pout.
"*sigh* Fine, I guess I'll come up with something." Isanari told her.
"Yayy!" Raiha said while jumping up out of her seat.
Fuutarou pulled up a seat next to his dad and opened up a water bottle that he grabbed from a cooler.
"So Yotsuba, what're you cooking?" Fuutarou asked.
"Some bacon." Yotsuba replied.
"I didn't think you could cook." Fuutarou said, smirking.
"I don't really. Bacons the only thing I know how to cook." Yotsuba sheepishly replied.
"Just like I thought." Fuutarou said.
"Hey! What's that supposed to mean!" Yotsuba pouted.
Fuutarou chuckled after that and took a swig of his water. As he drinking, Itsuki came back and her messy hair was sticking all over the place. The red strands were moving and going in all different directions.
"Ohaiyu Fuuta." Itsuki greeted groggily.
"Looks like you're not much of a morning person." Fuutarou stated. He let out a little smile.
"Leave me alone, I just woke up." Itsuki replied in a embarrassed tone.
"Where'd you even go anyways?" Fuutarou asked.
"The bathroom." Itsuki said.
"Looking like that?" Fuutarou said.
"Ugh, I'm going back to bed so I don't have to deal with your teasing." Itsuki replied with her eyelids half open.
Fuutarou watched Itsuki drag her feet all the way back to the tent and zip the cover open. She took a step inside, made her way to the air mattress, collapsed, and then took all the blankets to curl herself up.
Fuutarou looked away from the tent and looked towards Nino.
"How long has she been up?" Fuutarou asked.
"About 20 minutes or so." Nino replied.
"She's still groggy after that amount of time?" Fuutarou said, shocked.
"I guess so." Nino said.
The two sisters finished up their cooking after 15 minutes of working. All of their food was on plates in the middle of a table. There was a whole lot of American breakfast food to be paired with rice.
"Where'd you get all the food?" Fuutarou asked.
"I bought it at the store before coming here." Nino replied.
"Well it looks great. Thanks for making it." Fuutarou thanked her.
Nino blushed a little. "Thanks Fuu-Kun."
"Hey! I made some of the food!" Yotsuba chipped in.
"Alright then, you too Yotsuba. You did well too." Fuutarou complimented her.
"Yay!" Yotsuba said excitedly while having a slight blush.
"Hey Fuu-Kun." Nino got Fuutarou's attention.
"Yes Nino?" Fuutarou asked.
"Could you wake up everyone else? I would appreciate it." Nino asked and stated.
"Sure, I'll go right now." Fuutarou told her.
"Thanks Fuu-Kun." Nino said as Fuutarou walked away from the table.
Fuutarou made his way over to the tent and opened it up. He decided to go to Itsuki first as she was the only one on a bed by herself.
He made it to the side where Itsuki was facing and kneeled down. He put a hand on her shoulder and shook it.
"Hey Itsuki, wake up." Fuutarou whispered.
"Give me a few more minutes." Itsuki mumbled.
"Oh come on. There's some American food on the table for breakfast." Fuutarou told her.
Itsuki's eyes shot wide open as the mention of American food.
"What'd you say?" Itsuki asked.
"There's some American food on the table?" Fuutarou repeated himself.
"Yes! Yes that! Oh man, I love American Food!" Itsuki yelled while standing up and practically running out of the tent.
"It's like she's never had American food." Fuutarou said to himself, "Wait, I've never had any either. She said she has. So does she have the upper hand on me??"
Fuutarou snapped out of his thought as he noticed Miku and Ichika were waking up.
"Ohaiyu Miku, Ichika." Fuutarou greeted them.
"Ohaiyu." Miku yawned.
"Ohaiyu." Ichika also greeted.
Fuutarou went to stand at the foot of their bed.
"Come on, get up. We have a breakfast to eat." Fuutarou told them.
"Alright I'm getting up." Ichika said.
Fuutarou grabbed two hoodies and tossed them at the two sisters.
"I'll see you outside." Fuutarou said while stepping outside. He then walked back to the table where the breakfast was.
After sometime, everyone was done eating the breakfast that Yotsuba and Nino prepared. During the breakfast, they all decided to go fishing once everyone was ready. Fuutarou got up from the table, and walked back to the tent to change into some other clothes than what he had on now. Once he was done, he stepped out and walked back to the table.
"You girls can go change if you want," Fuutarou told them, "The tents free."
The 5 sisters then stood up, said goodbye to Fuutarou, and made their way to the tent.

Fuutarou felt a tug on his fishing rod. He then started to reel the line in to get the fish. The fish was fighting back a lot and Isanari had to come and help Fuutarou out. Together, the two of them were pulling on the rod, trying to get the fish out of the water. After some pulling and tugging, the father and son pulled a big fish out of the water. The fish was so big, Fuutarou and Isanari had to carry it together in their arms. The quints and Raiha noticed and immediately came towards them to see the big fish.
"Woah, it's so big!" Yotsuba said. (Not meant sexually)
"Yeah, that thing is huge." Nino added. (Same thing as above)
"That can last us a whole week or more!" Itsuki chirped.
Fuutarou looked at his dad, "Do you think they're gonna let us keep this big thing?"
"The only rule they had was no catching small fish and if you get a big fish, that's the only big sized fish you can get for the rest of day." Isanari replied.
"This lake has a large amount of the big fish, so, they want them gone." Isanari added.
"Alright then, how are we gonna fit this in our cooler?" Fuutarou asked.
"Well we're in luck! I conveniently brought a large cooler that matches the exact measurements of this fish!" Isanari said aloud.
"Isn't that kinda cliche for our readers?" Fuutarou sweat dropped.
"A little bit I guess. But it'll be ok, they'll understand." Isanari said.
As the two guys were putting the fish in the cooler, Ichika pulled the sisters and Raiha together.
"It's getting a bit boring watching them fish, right?" Ichika asked in a whisper.
"A bit yeah, but it's nice to see Fuu-Kun having fun." Nino replied, "Also why are we whispering?"
"Well, I feel like we should have some fun. Together, let's all run and hide in those woods over there and see if Fuutarou can find us." Ichika suggested.
"I think that would be fun." Miku replied.
"It would be better than sitting here all day." Itsuki said.
"But what if Fuu can't find us? What if he gets really worried?" Yotsuba asked.
"He will. I have faith in him as our boyfriend. Also, he's like the smartest guy in the world." Ichika told her.
"I guess so, I'm in." Yotauba responded.
Everyone agreed to play a little game of hide and seek. The quints quietly sneaked away with Raiha shortly trailing behind them. The group successfully made it to a part of the woods and started to run around, looking for a spot to hide. After a short period of time, everyone found a spot to hide in that wasn't too far apart from each other. The quints and Raiha were now patiently waiting for Fuutarou to start searching for them.

Fuutarou looked up from the cooler and noticed something was missing. He looked around but then decided to shake it off so he could fish more. He grabbed his pole and walked back over to the lawn chair that he was sitting in. Fuutarou cast his rod and just sat there waiting for a bite.

About 3-4 hours have passed and Fuutarou still hasn't been seen by the quints or Raiha. The sun was setting and it was starting to get a little chilly. 2-3 hours earlier, the quints decided to get out of their spots and look for a place where they could all stay together. After some time, they found a shack and that where they've been staying for the past few hours.
"Where's Fuuta?" Itsuki asked.
"Hold on, let me check our fishing spot." Ichika said while standing up to go to the front of the woods to look at Fuutarou's fishing spot.
Ichika walked out of the shack and followed a path back to the front of the woods. As she made it to the entrance, she looked to where Fuutarou would be. As she did, she noticed one missing thing. Fuutarou wasn't there anymore.
Her eyes went wide as she realized that Fuutarou had left. The car they drove in to get here, wasn't parked in the lot anymore. She quickly ran back to the shack and broke the news.
"He what?!?" Nino yelled aloud.
"Yeah, he and Mr. Uesugi aren't there anymore." Ichika told them again.
"I don't believe you, I'm going to go check it out myself." Nino said while standing up.
"I'm coming too." Miku said.
"Me too." Yotsuba added.
"I will come as well." Itsuki also added.
"Ooh ooh, me too!" Raina chirped.
The group walked out of the shack and made their way to the front of the woods.
"You are right." Nino said shocked.
"Why'd he leave us?" Miku said sadly with tears forming in her eyes.
"He must've forgot about us. He probably doesn't love us anymore." Yotsuba quietly said.
"Hey let's all not be down. He must've been really tired or something, we'll just go back to camp and see if he's there." Ichika told them.
Deep down she also was sad about Fuutarou leaving them.
The group decided to call a taxi that was just for the campsites. The car drove all the way to the campsite and as they were pulling in, the girls could see Isanari cooking something. The car stopped and the quints and Raiha stepped out. They thanked the driver, gave him a tip, and walked away. Isanari noticed them approaching.
"Took you girls long enough, where'd you even go anyways?" Isanari asked.
"That's what we were going to ask you." Nino replied.
"We got tired so we decided to leave." Isanari responded.
"You didn't even notice we were gone?" Itsuki asked.
"Oh we did, we just thought you were off to do some girl stuff." Isanari told them.
'So that's why Fuutarou never came for us.' The quints thought. He really had no reason to. They didn't leave a note or anything letting him know. So its not really his fault. But from another perspective, it could've been seen as he doesn't care about his girlfriends and sister. Either way, Fuutarou didn't know that he had to find them.
"If you're looking for Fuutarou, he's in the tent." Isanari said while jerking his thumb in the direction of Fuutarou and the quints tent.
The group (excluding Isanari) walked over to the tent, opened it, and stepped inside. As they did, they noticed a sleeping Fuutarou on the bed.
"He told me he didn't get much sleep last night." Isanari said while approaching the group from outside.
"What?" Yotsuba and Itsuki asked.
"He told me he was up all night because you two (he then pointed at Itsuki and Yotsuba) were hugging him too tight and there was no moving you." Isanari said.
There was some silence between all of them.
"You hugged Fuutarou in his sleep?!?" Nino said shocked.
"Hey, you do it too!" Itsuki replied back.
"You have a point." Nino mumbled.
"Well that explains why he forgot about us." Ichika said.
"Yeah, we'll just let him rest." Mika said.
There was some more silence.
"Fuuta took a shower right? There no fish slime all over the bed, right?" Itsuki asked.
"Yeah, he did take a shower." Isanari told her.
"Thank goodness." Itsuki said relieved.
The day was now coming to a close. This was the groups last day camping and there was so much they missed out on. (Really I just didn't want to write it.) They all had dinner and went to bed for the last time in that campsite.
"Good night Fuuta/Fuu-Kun/Fuutarou."
