Hello everyone.
When I posted the last chapter, I received a review complaining about my problems with capitalizing certain words or names.
This is not due to lack of attention, but I am using a program on my phone that allows me to speak into it and it will type everything out.
I apologize for any mistakes that this causes.
The rest of the summer was rather uneventful.
Harry returned to the Dursley's, who locked him in his room just like they did the first time around.
He managed to convince uncle Vernon to take him to the train as he did in the first timeline.
Harry was already thinking of what he wanted to do once he got to Hogwarts.
He still wanted to be sorted into Gryffindor, because if he was put in Slytherin, that would arouse too much suspicion from Dumbledore.
Harry desperately wanted to avoid the real dark Lord paying such close attention to him from the start.
He wondered what to do about Malfoy and Snape.
While Snape had appeared to be a good man in his last moments, that was back when Harry still believed that Dumbledore had been the good guy.
Now that he knew the truth, it was very possible that Snape had been a dark wizard all along that Dumbledore had sacrificed when he no longer served his purposes.
Uncle Vernon reluctantly took him to the train station.
He dropped Harry off at the barrier between platforms nine and 10.
He laughed at him, saying that there was no platform 9 3/4 anywhere in sight.
Harry turned to the man with a mischievous glint in his eyes, and said, "I know what I'm doing. Just watch very closely."
Harry ran at full speed through the barrier between the platforms.
Of course, he passed right through onto platform 9 3/4.
The only disadvantage to this was that he didn't get to see the expression on his uncles face.
Hairy saw the Hogwarts Express, and quickly got on.
He quickly found an empty compartment, and sat down.
There was a knock on the door.
Harry opened it to find a small redheaded boy standing on the other side.
Harry already knew who this boy was.
It was Ron.
"May I sit here?" Ron asked.
Harry was glad to see his old friend again.
"Yeah." Hairy agreed.
"I'm Ron Weasley."
"I'm Harry Potter. Nice to meet you."
Ron's eyes widened. "Do you mean the Harry Potter? The one who defeated you know who? The boy who lived? "
"No. "Harry said. "I'm a completely different Harry Potter. I have never heard of the boy who lived up until this minute. I'm Muggle born and I've never heard of magic till my 11th birthday."
Harry laughed at the confused expression on Ron's face.
"Of course I'm that Harry Potter. How many other harry potters are there out in the world?"
Ron, looking embarrassed, immediately change the subject.
"So what house do you think you're gonna be sorted into?"
"I was thinking of going for Gryffindor." Harry said.
"Me too. My entire family is from there."
There was another knock on their compartment door.
Harry went to answer it, wondering who this could be.
Then he remembered. This was about the time when Draco Malfoy came in with his two minions by his side.
Harry open the door, and wasn't surprised to see Draco.
However, he certainly was surprised to see that none of Draco's followers were surrounding him. He was completely alone. Not only that, he looked incredibly nervous.
"May I sit here?" Draco asked.
Hairy spotted Ron getting up from the seat, walking over to Draco, and giving him a huge smile and a pat on the back.
"Draco! Come in! Harry, this is my good friend, Draco Malfoy."
Harry was confused.
Has he actually gone into some sort of alternate past? Were there more differences than what he first expected? Would this be harder than he thought?
Draco walked in, and they eventually got snacks.
The same thing happened with Hermione, with the only difference being that Draco was there and playfully punched Ron in the shoulder when he said that he hoped he wouldn't be sorted into the same house as her.
"So how did you two become friends? "Harry asked.
"Our parents have always been great friends." Ron said. "Draco's father actually went undercover in the dark Lord's inner circle. He pretended to be a death eater, but he was actually passing information to Dumbledore."
If he hadn't known what he knew now, Harry would've thought that was a good thing. But now that he knew that Tom Riddle was actually the good guy and Dumbledore was the dark lord, he wasn't so sure that he liked this new change.
It was entirely possible that all of Dumbledore's followers were being tricked and manipulated, and were truly good people.
They got to Hogwarts.
When they entered the great Hall, the sorting began as usual.
However, things changed when Draco's name was called.
In the first timeline, the hat had barely touched his head before shouting, "Slytherin!"
But this time was a little bit different.
Draco had the hat placed on his head. He waited a few seconds.
Then the hat shouted, "Gryffindor!"
Draco smiled as the Gryffindor table clapped.
Harry waited a while longer, but then it was his turn.
He walked up to the stool, and Professor McGonagall placed the hat on his head.
"Very interesting." The hat said.
Harry was instantly panicked. If the hat told Dumbledore everything that he knew, then, of course, some accident would conveniently happened to Harry causing him to tragically die.
"Do not fear, young Mr. Potter. I have known about the headmasters manipulations and plots for a while. Seeing as how I am just a simple hat, there is nothing I can do about it. I only exist to sort you into your houses. I can read your mind. You were a time traveler. Last time I sorted you into Gryffindor. You specifically told me not to put you into Slytherin."
"And I stand by it. I don't think Slytherin is evil anymore. It's just that I don't want Dumbledore to be suspicious of me."
"That is a valid point. Very well then. Gryffindor!"
The entire Gryffindor table clapped. Fred and George, like the first time, began chanting, "we have got Potter! We've got Potter! "
Harry saw that Draco is the most excited of them all. He had a wide grin on his face, and he gave harry a big hi5 when he sat down.
Harry could tell that things would certainly be different. As of now, it was looking like it would be different in a good way.
Supper was free of surprises and quite uneventful.
However, after spending so much time with the Dursley's, who only let him eat leftovers, Harry was very glad to be enjoying a Hogwarts feast once again.
The concept was slightly weird that he was literally eating food that he had already eaten once before.
It was very weird when he thought about it that way.
Dumbledore got up to make the beginning of year announcements.
The forest was for bidden. The third floor corridor was out of bounds. All that stuff.
However, things certainly took a turn for the strange when Dumbledore said, "I am pleased to announce to everyone that we have a new defence against the dark arts professor. Please welcome Professor Lucius Malfoy."
Harry wondered if Professor Malfoy had Tom Riddle's face on the back of his head. If so, then he could cast the counter curse to the imperious curse.
He made a mental note to try and talk to Professor Malfoy, although he could not tell him everything.
The next day was potion's class.
Harry expected everything to be as it was the first time around.
What actually happened with something beyond what he could've imagined.
Harry walked into Professor Snape's classroom.
Snape saw him, and to Harry's surprise, gave a warm smile and a wave in his direction. "Come sit down, Mr. Potter."
Now he was getting really confused.
First the Malfoy family, and now Snape.
What was next?
Harry has expected Hermione to stand up and declare how much she hated books.
But of course that wouldn't happen. There's obviously no such thing as a world where Hermione could hate reading books.
Harry found that unlike the first time around, his favourite class seems to be defence against the dark arts.
Professor Malfoy was an excellent teacher. He was very much unlike his previous self in Harry's former timeline.
He happily awarded points to Gryffindor. He even made a comment about how he himself came from Gryffindor.
Harry wondered about what was going on.
He certainly had a few more allies in his mission to bring down Dumbledore.
It was on one day in late November when he finally got his answer.
Professor Malfoy instructed Harry to stay after class.
Harry saw Snape walking in.
Malfoy took out his wand and immediately cast a silencing charm on the room.
"Your no doubt wondering what is happening. "He said.
"Yes I am. "Harry said. "Wait a minute. What makes you think I think wondering about anything?"
Snape laughed and said, "this is certainly different from your old timeline."
Harry's eyes widened. "How do you know?" He asked.
"The man who gave you that time turner was a friend of ours." Snape explained. "His position as a mind healer was the cover. In reality, the three of us, along with a couple of others, are part of a group called the reality keepers."
"Do I know any other reality keepers? "Harry asked.
"A lot of the death eaters are actually reality keepers." Snape said. "Is Tom is free of the Imperius curse then we will initiate him."
Hairy heard of familiar voice coming from the back of Malfoy's head. "Let me speak to him."
Malfoy turned around and took off the hat he was wearing.
The snake like face of Lord Voldemort was on the back of his head.
"Do not fear, Potter. I, the primary soul of Tom Riddle, have been freed from the imperious curse. However, the rest of my soul has not."
Are we going to find a way to bring you back? "Harry asked.
"Yes. Lucius tells me that in the first timeline I tried to steal the philosopher stone yet I was unsuccessful. I will attempt stealing it again, but I hope that you will help me this time. Then I could have my body back. Then we will lift the curse off of the diary. Then I will re-absorb that part of myself. Then we will go on from there."
Harry thought this was a good plan.
Lucius spoke up. I will have to wait till the end of the year again when Dumbledore is away."
With a good plan, they all left to carry on as normal.
