(I am sensing a pattern in my SI/OC fics lmaoo)

She was fine, living her life as a regular adult. Saved up enough money for a quaint little house in the busy streets of Tokyo and worked in the nearby bank. Asuna's life was boring to be honest, but life was good, even if sometimes she wished for a break in her routine consisting of work, eat, sleep. She dreamed little fantasies of adventure, fantasies she wished she could live in…

And one day she stumbled upon a thing that would change her life.

she found anime. But it was more like anime had found her, fulfilling her desperate wishes even if It was just barely more than before. Filling her with emotion that she would never be able to feel without it (she felt so alone ever since day one, and she didn't even realize it).

Then the fire happened, dreams were shattered, families torn apart, debt piled so high that people marched in the streets—shameless.

It was a accident

A gas truck driving out of control, crashing on the nearest building, a great fire erupted.

The precautions were not enough

Explosions crackled joyfully through the air like some sort of twisted firework party, screams echoed in the burning building as everything fell.

And Asuna was in the middle of it all

She didn't feel fear, and she stood still in the flames and chaos, relishing in the feel of danger and alarm, trembling in ecstasy of the adrenaline in her veins. And in the burning building Kiyoshi finally understood. She would do anything for this feeling, even if it meant murder.

she slipped into darkness without fear, like the world was all just a lucid dream and she was just waking up.

She woke up in a rough threaded bed, feeling refreshed for the first time, even if her bruised and scarred body threatened to weight her down. She clambered from her bed and stood up shakily on her surprisingly small feet, she studies her stubby toes and brought out her hands, pale, chubby, tinny digits greeted her eyes. She started to tremble in excitement, "no…way" she murmured hoarsely in an unexpected high voice "I am…reborn…and as a boy?"

She…no…its he now, didn't care that he probably killed the host of his current body, he didn't feel anything, only a tingle of pity. he quickly adjusted to this new life style as a street rat, (he learned after that the city he lived in for his first month was called meteor city) Asuna didn't feel frustrated at all, in fact he was enjoying this change of routine, it was new, and Asuna craved it. he found herself understanding the new language a few days after the rebirth, like he was learning it all his life (he didn't know that the previous host affected so much on his mindset, and how muscle memory limited him) he stole what could be stolen, he lived off the crumbs and trash, shamelessly lying and stealing. But it was only a matter of time before the local authorities began to investigate, Asuna needed to leave.

And it was only then he saw a huge flying blimp with two giant 'X' es crossed over each other, and he realized how much trouble is was in, and how blessed he was to survive this long.

he was reborn into her favorite anime—Hunter x hunter…

This was it, his chance of greatness.

But things quickly escalated.

he was caught

He was going for a last supply run before it happened, but before he could slip away a gang of tattooed men cornered him in a alleyway "well well, isn't this the little street rat that everyone's been complaining about?" The leader jeered, roughly pushing Asuna to the lumpy ground, "turns out its just a kid!" Another one added, grabbing Asuna's face and forcing him to look back up. He didn't reply under the heavy scrutiny as he was busily thinking of a way out, carefully maintaining is usual blank face. The goonie tched under his breath and threw the boy's face down, swooping low, the man stepped on the back of Asuna's head and pressed.

"Nnn—" Asuna gasped as his breath was forced out of him "just—just leave me alone!" Asuna sputtered angrily against the ground as he struggled to regain his breath when the pressure finally lifted, "ho? Looks like the worm can speak!" Another one joined, with a mop of messy greenish bleached hair hanging from his scalp "he's a pretty one isn't he?" He added, inspecting the boy from up to bottom, a lecherous grin slowly started to form on his crooked features, Asuna shivered uncontrollably as he was studied, like a object to sell and buy.

He backed up on a wall, trying to get as far away as he could from the gang but was suddenly lifted up by the collar of his worn shirt by the green haired goon. He presented Asuna to the rest of the group and smirked "this little boy would earn us a lot of money~" he continued to hold Asuna as if he weighed nothing more than a feather, though the few beads of sweat that rolled down his crooked face gave him away. "Remember the dealer from before? I remember he had a thing for young boys" the smirk curved into a perfect arc that stretched from side to side, and that was all Asuna saw before his world erupted in white.
