I woke up to the sun lightning our room from the window. It was a beautiful sunny day. I looked at the alarm clock. 7 am.

Then I remembered the events of the previous day. Today will be a better day. It was just a bad day. Like a bad dream. But as much as I wanted and tried to convince myself that, I still sensed that I'm only lying with every word I think. I somehow sensed that something's stil wrong and that my brother wasn't feeling well.

I got up and went to the kitchen to get breakfast. As I was eating, I was still surprised to see Dot come into the kitchen first. She usually came last because of her "cutie sleep". But this time...

"Where's Yakko?", I asked. "Still in bed", she said with a still sleepy expression on her face as she made herself breakfast and sat across from me. "Did you sleep well?", I asked her. "Yeah...", she said and yawned. "I doubt it", I said in a serious tone. "What? So I have to tell you that I didn't get my cutie sleep because I sensed that something's still wrong with Yakko??", she asked.

"Whoa, no, I mean- wait, you sensed it too??", I asked in surprise.

"Of course Wakko, how can't I?"

"Oh", I said quietly and in slight emberrisment.

We spent the rest of the breakfast in silence. Then I couldn't take it anymore. My apetite fell down from worry.

"Why aren't you eating?", asked me a clearly confused and slightly worried Dot. "I can't. I'm worried, Dot. Listen, I'm going to wake up Yakko, ok?", I said. Dot just looked at me with a worried expression and nodded. I got up and went to our room.

When I got to our bunk bed, I saw Yakko sleeping on the bottom bunk as usual. He was laying on his back, an expression of hurt on his face. I felt tears coming to my eyes. I squinted them to push the tears back and started backing away. But just then I heard Yakko wake up. "Morning Wak, what is it?", he asked as he looked at me. "Yakko!", I shouted and ran to him. "Whoa, easy there! What happened?", said Yakko as he put his hands on my shoulders. "You don't remember?!", I asked in utter surprise. "I- wait a minute! I do! Oh no! Aw man!", he said as he slapped himself. "So that's the reason why everything hurts me-" "WHAT?!", I was shoked, I jumped back.

Hello Nurse was right, it really is dangerous!

Oh, I just KNEW this will happen!

"Wakko! Telephone!", I heard Dot yell from the living room.

"I'll be back! Stay here, don't move!", I said to Yakko. "What? What's-", but before he could say anything else, I ran back to the living room. I quickly picked up. "Hello?" "Wakko, you guys come here, we have to discuss this crime from yesterdapy!", I heard Scratchensniff on the other side. "Ok, we're coming!", I said and quickly hung up.

"Dot! We have to hurry!", I said as I grabbed her hand and we ran out of the tower. "Who called?", she asked as we were running to the psychiatry building. "Scratchy", I said, "He said we have to discuss the crime from yesterday!". "And how's Yakko?!", she asked, worried. I sighed. By that time we were already in front of the building. "I'll tell Scratchy so you'll hear too, ok?", I said. "Why?" "Because, Dot, we have to hurry!" "Oh", she said and hung her head down, "Now I know how's Yakko feeling..."

We ran into the building and to Scratchy's office. I quickly knocked on the door.

"Come in!", I heard him say.

I ran in with Dot and went straight to him and Hello Nurse. "Scratchy! Yakko's not ok! He's laying in bed and he says that everithing hurts him! Hello Nurse, you were right! That stupid D.I.P. really is dangerous! Oh, how I knew this will happen! I knew!".

"Whoa, Wakko, calm down!", said Scratchensniff as he put his hands on my shoulders. "Now, sit down you two!", he said and me and Dot sat down at the desk across from Scratchy and Hello Nurse.

"Now", said Scratchy, "we are going to ask you some questions and you have to be very honest. It's just me and the nurse, so you don't have to hide anything, ja? No secrets, ok?". Me and Dot just nodded, both with worried faces. "Don't worry, we'll be as quick as possible so you can solve your problem with Yakko", said Hello Nurse.

"Ok, so, toonists, you say?", asked Scratchy.

"Yes, there are some people who just hate us for some stupid unknown reason!", said Dot. "And they're using D.I.P. to hurt us 'cause it's the only thing we can possibly die from!", I said.

"Wakko and Dot are right", said Hello Nurse, "So, have they tried to hurt you before?", she asked.

"Yes", said Dot sadly, "They kiddnaped Wakko once to do some stupid and dangerous experiments on him and after we saved him he was in the hospital and he almost died from inkloss". I still remember that time. It was awful, really.

"Oh, I remember that", said Scratchy with a sad expression on his face.

"Ok, I'll call the police to tell them everything", he said. "You can go home now to take care of your brother. Remember, he has to stay in bed until it stops hurting, ok? Here's some medicine to help him", said Hello Nurse as she gave us some medicine. I took it and nodded. "You can call me if something goes wrong, ok?", she asked.

"Ok, thank you, bye!", I said quickly and ran out with Dot.

When we came to the tower, we ran straight to our room. "Yakko!", Dot ran to the bottom bunk and flung her arms around him. "Hey, sis! You ok?", said Yakko as he returned the hug. He was sill laying on his back. "Well, I did tell you not to move, but have you at least turned around??", I asked. "Oh, Wakko", Yakko chuckled, "Don't worry, I have". Dot stepped back. "Yakko, we were so worried about you!", she said. "Yeah. Listen, we have just been at Scratchy's and he said he's going to call the police about yesterday. Hello Nurse said you have to stay in bed until it stops hurting. Here, she gave you some medicine", I said as I put the medicine on the nightstand.

"Aww, how nice of her!", said Yakko as he wiggled his eyebrows. I smiled. He was still our happy brother with a strong sense of humor. That gave me hope. He took one little box of medicine and started reading. "Ok Yakko, I'm going to get you something to eat, since you haven't eaten anything yet. I'll be back ok?", I said. He just nodded and smiled. I smiled back and went to the kitchen.

As I was making Yakko a sandwich, I found myself overthinking what was happening at the moment. I usually don't overthink anything. I don't care, I'm a happy-go-lucky toon. But this time it was different. It was kinda weird and...

Just forget it, it's not good to overthink anyway. It'll be fine, you still have hope.

I went back to our room. "There you go Yak", I said and placed the plate with a sandwich on it on the nightstand. "Thanks", said Yakko smiling. "Can you sit up?", Dot asked. He shock his head. "Sorry, still hurts", he said. "Hey, I have an idea!", I said and took one piece of the sandwich. I gave it to Yakko. "Thanks Wak!", he said cheerfuly as he took the piece and started eating.

As Yakko ate his breakfast, we chatted. About everything.

"So, how are you feeling?", I asked Yakko.

"Much better then before, thanks", said Yakko, "But as I said, it still hurts, so I can't get up yet".

"Can you still move?", asked Dot.

"Yes", he said, "But I feel better when I lay on the back".

"And what about the medicine?", I asked, "What have you read?"

"Well, this one little box is for once a day, and the other is for an emergency", said Yakko. "Listen, guys", he said and we looked at him, "Don't go anywhere except the store and at Scratchy's. Not because of me, I can handle myself, but because of those toonists, who knows where they hide and what's going to happen". "Sure thing Yak!", I said. "We'll be careful, don't worry", said Dot with a smile.

The rest of the day went without any events. We just chatted for hours, had lunch, then me and Dot went to take a nap and Yakko took his medicine. In the evening, me and Dot were watching tv when she spoke up.

"I wonder how Yakko's feeling".

"Me too", I said, "Let's go and see".

We turned off the tv and went to our room. "Hey Yak!", Dot greeted. "Hi guys, how are you?", Yakko said, smiling. "We wanted to ask you first", I said. He chuckled, "I'm fine, sibs", he said.

Dot sighed, "It's kinda boring without you, you know".

"I know how you're feeling, sister sibling", said Yakko, "I'm bored too, even more, I have to just lay here and do nothing but feel pain until it stops".

"Hey, at least you got a little better", I said.

"You're right Wak", he said. We stood there in silence until Yakko suddenly snapped his fingers.

"I have an idea!", he said. We looked at him with wide eyes. He continiued, "Since it's time to go to bed," he stopped just to make sure we weren't groaning out of protest, but we were excitedly listening as tough we knew his idea, so he continiued, "You should get ready and then you can come here", he tapped his hands on each side. We knew exactly what he meant. "Yayy!!", we squeled out of joy and hurried to get ready.

When we got back, Dot layed on Yakko's left, and me on his right. We hugged him and he hugged us back. "Night Yakko", we said at the same time. "Night sibs, sleep tight", he said and we fell asleep with big smiles on our faces.
