I woke up to see that Dot isn't there anymore. 'She probanly woke up', I tought. Then I heard a whisper.
"Yakko...Yakko, wake up!"
Dot was trying to wake him up, but he wouldn't budge. Then she climbed up again.
"Wak, get down here! Yakko wouldn't wake up!"
I jumped up and quickly went down. When I came there, I saw Yakko laying on his back, not moving an inch. I gently shoock him.
"Yak, come on, wake up, please!", I whispered. Nothing.
My eyes widened and I gasped. I layed my head on his chest. Tears started rolling down my cheecks and I stepped back. Dot had teary eyes as well.
"Noooo!", was all we could get out.
I shut my eyes open and stared at the ceiling. My heart was pounding. I took a deep breath.
"It's just a dream...", I tought.
Then I turned to my right to see Dot staring right back at me. "Wak? You ok? I heard you shout..."
I hugged her. "Oh, sorry Dot. Did I scare you?" "Well...kind of. What happened?". I sighed. "I...had a nightmare"
"Oh...", said Dot and hugged back. "I know how you feel", she said, "I'm kinda worried too. Those toonists kinda scared me, I don't know...That's why I came here..."
"Aww, don't worry...", I said gently, "I hope it'll be fine", I smiled. She smiled back. Then she spoke up. "Wak...?" "Yeah?" "Can you...um...sing something...?"
I smiled. "Sure". I started singing the first song that came to my mind.
Twinkle, twinkle wishing star,
how I wonder where you are.
Out in space so bright and clear,
can you see me way down here?
Hm, I wonder...
Let me pick the star that's right
and pick the wishing star tonight.
Like finding a needle in a hay stack,
innie menee minie mole and jack.
Wishing star please hear my plea,
grant one wish, one wish for me.
"I wish Yakko gets better", said Dot. "Me too", I said.
...
"Yakko!"
I sat up straight and looked around. I was alone. Then I heard Dot call me, trying not to break down.
"Wakko! Come here, quickly!"
I slid down the ladder and ran out. I found Dot in the hall, half carrying Yakko. I gasped. "What happened?!". Her eyes were tearing up.
"He fainted! He fainted!"
I stopped for a moment to process what has just happened.
Sigh, don't worry, he just fainted, he'll be fine.
"Come on Dot!", I said, "We have to ger to Scratchy!"
I helped Dot carry Yakko as we ran to the psychiatry building. When we got there, I ran straight to the emergency room.
"What happened?", asked Hello Nurse, a worried expression on her face. "Yakko passed out", I said as me and Dot placed him on a bed that was there. "Don't worry, he'll be fine. Come sit here", said the nurse.
We sat across from the bed and waited. After a few minutes, Yakko stirred a little, turned to our side and opened his eyes.
"Huh...? What happened?", he asked. "Yakko!", me and Dot shouted and ran to him. The three of us hugged and smiled. "We're so glad you're ok!", said Dot. "Me too", said Yakko, "What happened?". "You...passed out", I said. "Oh... I'm sorry I scared you guys", he said. "Don't worry, it's ok", said Dot.
"Ok, I'm going to do a check up on your brother, you can wait outside, ok?", said Hello Nurse. Me and Dpt nodded and went outside. As we were waiting, I asked Dot what actually happened.
"Well, he woke me up and said that we woke him up when you had that nightmare and that he heard everything but didn't want to say anything so he woke me up and not you. And then he said that he wasn't feeling well and that he wanted me to help him walk to the living room so he can call Hello Nurse. So yes, we walked to the hall and then...", she trailed off as tears formed in her eyes. I wiped them off and hugged her. "Don't worry, it'll be fine", I said gently.
Just then Hello Nurse came out. "He's ok, he just has to rest for a while. You can come in now", she said. Me and Dot sighed in relief and went inside. We sat on the bed Yakko was on.
"How are you feeling?", asked Dot. "I'm fine, just a little sleepy. I think I should take a nap", said Yakko. "Can we come too??", I asked. He smiled, "Aww, sure". We climbed in, hugged and fell asleep.
After an hour or so, Hello Nurse came in to wake us up. "You can go home now", she said. And so we did.
When we came home, Yakko sat on the couch to check his temperature. We sat next to him.
"And??", me and Dot asked at the same time. Yakko sighed. "Still have it...", he said. We sighed in disappointment but also hope. "Guess I'll have to stay here, huh?", asked Yakko. "I'm staying with you!", said Dot and hugged him. Yakko chuckled, "Thanks for caring about me sis" "No problem Yak", she smiled. I smiled at them. "Well then", I said, "I'm going to make lunch". The nodded and I went to the kitchen.
The rest of the day went as usual. We had lunch and took care of eachother. We were glad it was ok. For now.
But then...
