A/N: I hope you like it :)
When Levy woke up that morning she had a strange feeling. It felt like a premonition that something important would happen today. She had never felt that way and normally it was Cana who could tell fortunes. Trying to ignore the feeling Levy got ready and made her way to the guild.
When she arrived at the guild Levy sat down in the usual corner she had began to share with Gajeel and Lily. The dragon slayer was already there and greeted her with a smirk. It had become their place in the guild and Levy was looking forward to spend the day with him. Sometimes Levy made him iron with the o in the word representing a heart. It seemed that her iron dragon slayer was ignorant to it and the meaning behind it, but Levy was almost glad for that. This was a way she could show her affection without actually telling him how she felt about him.
The resent friendly fight between the male guild mates had ended a few minutes ago, thanks to Erza, and now a peaceful atmosphere was settling over the guild. Gajeel, who of course had also taken part in the fight, was now sitting next to her, snacking on nails.
Peaceful was never a term that was often used when describing their guild, so Levy should have seen it coming that the peaceful atmosphere didn't last long. What happened next however wasn't anything she had seen coming.
Lucy and Natsu were sitting a table away from the solid script mage when suddenly the door of Capricorn was forced open. The stellar spirit didn't even take notice of Lucy and instead looked around until his eyes fell on Levy.
Walking over to her he bowed deeply.
"I just want to apologize for my behavior."
It took Levy a moment to realize what was going on, but then the memories of a certain game show came back to her. This couldn't be happening. However before she could stop Capricorn he continued.
"We got our memories back a few minutes ago and it seems that I forced a love confess out of you. Something this personal should never have been revealed the way it did."
When Gajeel saw that Levy was blushing deeply his anger boiled over. Levy had feelings for a stellar spirit and had even confessed to him during their fight? Never one to not let his temper take over, Gajeel immediately turned to the script mage next to him.
"What does that mean Shrimp? You were supposed to fight him." The angry dragon slayer roared.
"I did. It was a quiz." Her flush deepened even more.
"So what? You confessed to him?"
"It wasn't like that-" She didn't even get to finish before Gajeel fired his next suspicion at her.
"You are in love with him?" Gajeel growled angrily.
The beautiful solid script mage was feeling a range of emotion and her heart felt like it would beat right out of her chest. The chaos in her heart and head got the best of her and decided to tell the one thing she was sure of.
"No, I'm in love with you." She screamed.
Every pair of eyes was on her, but the only pair she could focus on were the red eyes of the dragon slayer in front of her. The only way she could describe his expression was confusion and it broke her heart. She had known that she surely wasn't his type, with her small body shape and in comparison to her female guild mates, lacking bust, but seeing his expression she found her fears confirmed. He saw nothing more in her than a small bookworm, who he had to protect.
When she felt her eyes watering she tore herself out of her thoughts and ran, away from the man she loved, away from the rejection she was sure would come any second and away from her heart breaking in the middle of the guild.
It took Gajeel a moment to realize what had happened. However when he smelled Levy's tears and saw her run off he pulled himself out of his daze.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to reveal her secret. I thought by now she would have told you. I just wanted to apologize to her and you for making her confess something so personal." Capricorn spoke up.
"Damn right you shouldn't have." Gajeel tried to be angry at the stellar spirit, but his voice lacked any negative feelings.
"I have to find her." The dragon slayer mumbled more to himself than the spirit in front of him.
Not wasting anymore time he stood up and left the guild. It didn't take him long to find her near the forest, sitting on a tree stump. When he sat down next to her, she turned away from him.
"Are you here to reject me?" More tears flowed down her cheeks. "I already know that you don't feel that way about me, so you can save yourself the trouble."
"Don't go assume what I want to say, Shrimp." He replied gruffly, before his voice softened. "Look at me, Levy."
When she hesitated and still refused to meet his eyes, he gently touched her chin and move it a little. Her eyes were wide and innocent and he saw all her insecurities and embarrassment shine in them. She was just as afraid of this feeling and possible rejection as he was. He had never thought that he deserved her and that their friendship was even more than he deserved, but knowing that she loved him made his heart feel lighter. He had a chance with the woman he fell in love with. The only thing he had to do now was not mess it up and he knew that he was not good with words, but he had to try.
"I wasn't rejecting you, I was just surprised." His voice softened and gently he wiped the last tear from her cheek. "You're my mate."
It was probably not the classic love confession women wanted to hear, but he wasn't a normal man. Levy was smart and Gajeel hoped that she knew what his words really meant. Calling her his mate had an even deeper meaning than a simple love confession and he wanted her to know how much he felt for her.
The beautiful solid script mage blushed at his words and moved closer to him until she was sitting in his lap.
"You really mean that?" She whispered softly.
"I wouldn't say it, if I didn't mean it." A small blush was now staining his cheeks and despite that his arms wound around her to steady her on his lap, he wasn't looking at her, clearly embarrassed.
Levy couldn't help but smile brightly at that. He was just too cute, not that she would ever tell him that.
"Gajeel." She called him softly and when their eyes met, her heart skipped a beat. "I love you."
He didn't return the words to her, but he showed her that he felt the same. Gently he lay a hand on her cheek and pulled her closer until their lips met. It was a soft first kiss, but soon passion took over and Gajeel lay all his feelings into the kiss. Maybe he had to thank Capricorn later, after all he helped him finally confess to his mate.
A/N: Happy Valentine's Day :)
