Chapter 1: Behind that Blinde Eye

Area 11 (Formerly Japan), Tokyo Settlement

Within Area 11, formerly Japan, we see in the Tokyo Settlement, that a crime has happened. Police Cars and Police Knightmares were on the scene, having officers already at the apartment building house and a crime scene yellow tape was put up right away. Some cops outside were keeping the reporters and media away as the head of the case comes walking in.

We see Jeremiah Gottwald, a former member of the Pureblood Group and now in charge of local police enforcement within Area 11 after two outcomes that lead to his position. He didn't complain as he felt he go things better this way and help someone change things for the better. By the former lord, we see one who's deeply loyal to Gottwald through thick and blood, Villetta Nu.

"Talk to me, Villetta," Jeremiah ordered as he duck under the crime scene tape and enter the apartment building.

"The victim's name is Beth, no last name and member of the Honorable Britannia, house-sitting for her friend who's back at the homeland. She had no idea what happened and stood little chance, Sir. Be warned, sir, you may not like what you see," Villetta said, sounding a bit sick on the last part and her eyes showed horror at what happened to the victim.

Jeremiah saw that horrific look on his trusted partner's face and steeled himself as he enter the scene of the crime. What he saw, he felt deep pity for the woman and was horrified a bit, though he didn't show it, anger was shown as he clenched his hands into a fit of what he saw. The victim was a woman, her face had been disfigured and ruined. Her eyes were pulled out and her mouth cut deep into a horrific smile, her blood was used as lipstick to make them smile like a clown.

The former cop turned cop sighed deeply at the sight and pray for that poor woman. Then his reaction changed as he heard something and already know who else was in the room.

"Out," Jeremiah commanded.

"What?" Villetta asked, surprised.

"I need a moment. I want the place closed and isolated from everyone. No more media, keep them out. I need a moment to myself, Knight Nu," Jeremiah explained.

"Of course, Lord Gottwald," Villetta said, not questioning but was on guard and wondering what Jeremiah was hiding.

"I'm no longer a lord, Villetta. That has been stripped from me remember?" Jeremiah stated.

"Maybe so, Jeremiah. Maybe so but some don't see that way," Villette replied.

"Maybe...," Jeremiah said to himself as he waited to be alone and no one was there at the certain of the crime scene.

As the former lord look up at the door, stood alone and dark figure, taking the appearance of a bat-like human creature standing before him. He knows who it was, from rumors, and personal meetings. That this bat creature is the Dark Knight himself, The Batman.

"You took your time," Jeremiah commoned as he watched the Bat walking towards the crime scene.

Batman remained silent as he was searching for evidence and clues, starting with the body of Beth. He showed no emotion, a cold and hard look on his face. He took a knee down and started to see some clues around.

"Only a monster could've done this," Jeremiah stated.

"Not a monster, human," Batman said, his voice sounding dark and hard.

This frightens Jeremiah a bit.

"Monsters work by instinct, humans have a goal. A purpose to their action and this one...wasn't one neither of them wished to see completed," Batman explained as he found the blade that was used to cut the victim's mouth open and saw no fingerprints as it was cleaned.

"Fingerprints?" Jeremiah asked.

"No, it's clean," Batman stated as he placed the blade back down, seeing that the murderer was not only damaged but knows what they are doing and unstable as well as the next clue shows that. A small jack in the box had the woman's eyes replaced with its own. And the last one, a joker playing card.

Batman was in deep thought while Jeremiah was becoming sick and had to exit the crime scene's main area to get some air. The Bat saw that the murderer was indeed an unstable human being and had some hidden goals put out to find. As for why leave the murder weapon and two welcome cards? Basically to rub it in their faces and chase him.

"Hmm," Batman hummed in thought as he stood up and joined the former lord in the living room area.

"This is going to be a field day. The media would make a big scene on this for sure," Jeremiah said, knowing that media and news sources would make a bigger mess than the crime scene they saw.

"Keep the media from knowing. For the safety of the people and everyone as the murderer wants to make himself famous and takes the enjoyment of people's fear," Batman said, seeing that this murderer was a damaged psychopath that wants some attention.

"Close to the chest huh? That would be a good idea but who's to say that this nut won't attack again," Jeremiah said, making a good point as it's rare to have psychopaths but they always attack more than once.

"Maybe, maybe not. Tell everyone to lock their doors at night and have police officers patrolling at night," Batman ordered.

"That's a lot of ground to cover...but does give this clown killer the idea we're on to him and might strike again. It's risking," Jeremiah warned.

"It is but this killer will strike again. He's not going to stop," Batman said.

"He?" The former lord raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, he. The murderer has to be a male as he overpowered the victim and showed signs that he must have training in the medical field as he carefully took his time to remember the eyes first before cutting into her mouth. And cover his tracks up," Batman explained, seeing the clue's layout.

However, unaware of them, Villetta was seen around the corner of the apartment wall, heard everything, and was suprised that Jeremiah was talking to the Batman himself. She decied to remain behind as she had a feeling that her lord was hiding something and decied to spy on the two.

"Also Gottwald about Nu, tell her she needs to stop eating high heels if she wants to remain hidden...from me," Batman stated, shocking the white-haired knight as she rushed into the living room with her pistol drawn out.

However, to her total and beyond shock, the Dark Knight was gone, leaving Villetta and Jeremiah in the apartment room alone. She couldn't believe it and how the Dark Knight had just disappeared so quickly like that. The former lord smiled at the knight's reaction.

"You need to be a lot faster than that to get to see him before he departs, Villetta. He does that," Jeremiah remarked, knowing firsthand on the Bat disappearing on him in mid-talk during their meetings was no suprise.

"I...yeah," Villetta only was able to say as she placed her pistol away for the time being.

"Come on. Let's tell the boys to take the victim away and evidence back to the crime lap for results back," Jeremiah said.

"But you and him? How?" Villetta asked, unsure what to make of that and seeing the partnership between the pair.

"You know one day, Villetta. Not today as we have work to do and it's going to be a field day," Jeremiah said, knowing that sooner or later the knight would have to understand the partnership between the Dark Knight and himself runs deep understanding level.

However, the former lord feels a deep warning in his gut. Like someone was punching or cutting into his stomach. That this was only the beginning and a challenge for everyone to face. He hopes that Batman can capture the killer before things go bad for everyone. He knows and believes it as he exited out of the building for another battle to take place, the media.

Nearby, we see the Dark Knight himself, watching from afar and climbing onto his bike to escape before everyone could notice him.

"I wish I could say I'm making a difference but I don't know. Murder, robberies, assault, about three years later they're all up but now this. This area, a former nation is eating itself, some say it's beyond saving. But I have to try and push myself," Batman thought to himself as he drive on his bike and used the underground train tracks to head back home for the evening, as he has a new case on his table and needed to keep going, pushing himslef to beyond his limits for Japan.

Meanwhile, in a nice apartment building we a see a young Chinese man with white hair who was laughing in an insane manner as he was playing with a deck of cards, showing more and more jokers in his hands as we see his next victim in motion and building a special altar for his 'beloved' that he retired again. And nothing was going to stop him. Not those the police, the media, those custom freaks, Black Knights, or the Dark Knight himself.

"What's behind that blind eye of yours, Bats?" He asked out loud to himself before laughing more and more, echoing through the apartment house.

AN: Chapter 2 will show more information on who Naruto/Batman is and his suit looks fully. Now note, yes I would use some scenes from The Batman 2022 film but I would do my best to not spoilers the full movie and do my own way to fit into Code Geass world & all. That is all and will see you all next time :)
