I'm writing this because my strawberry shark son deserves this honestly.
"The new generation of heroes are all extraordinary- from Deku to Ground Zero, there are a ton of amazing people protecting our country! But one of them stands out from the rest!
Rising from humble beginnings with an immovable will and a fiery passion, he's saved more people in this city than all the rest and won the people's hearts! His kindness and courage, along with his chivalry, sets him apart from all the rest!
Give it up for the number one hero, Red Riot!!"
Kirishima's breath caught in his throat. He barely registered the enormous applause booming around him. This couldn't be real... could it?
Someone nudged his side. Kirishima glanced at Bakugo, who was sitting next to him. He couldn't read his expression- it was oddly blank.
"Go on, shitty hair." Bakugo said, but for once there wasn't any hostility in his voice. And, to Kirishima's surprise, he grinned. "You've worked harder than anyone else for that title. Go up on stage!"
Bakugo physically pushed him out of his seat. Kirishima snapped out of his daze and stumbled a little before straightening his jacket and exhaling slowly. As he walked up on stage, he heard people in the crowd talking.
"Congrats, man!"
"He earned it, honestly."
"If it was anyone else, I would've been mad!"
"He's the coolest!!"
"WHOOO! Yeah, go Red Riot!!"
A huge grin slowly formed on his face, and he strode up on the stage confidently. The host greeted him as he walked into the spotlight and the cheers grew wilder.
When the crowd finally settled down, the host turned to him and asked, "Is there anything you want to say about achieving the spot as the number one hero?"
Kirishima looked around at the audience. He saw a few familiar faces, heroes he worked along with. He caught Bakugo's eyes. He stepped in front of the microphone, put his hands on his hips, took a deep breath, and spoke.
"I just want to thank my fellow heroes for inspiring me and supporting me in my dream of helping others. I never could've done this on my own! And, to the villains around the world..."
He paused (for dramatic effect).
"You'd better grow up before I come and beat your ass!"
