If you're a returning reader, hello, and thank you for coming back.
If you've stumbled across this by chance, and prepared to give it a chance let me offer a little backstory. Firstly I write in what was called Expanded Universe, I think it's now referred to as Legends. Either way, in my world Han and Leia are married, have a family, and are living their best life on a planet called Terrendoc. There have been many ups and downs in getting there including unexpected births, deaths, marriages, career changes and more personal issues than you can shake a stick at!
Recently, Leia has given two interviews to a renowned afternoon talk show host and this story centres around the last interview she plans to give, never realising the far reaching consequences her revelations might have. Bored yet?, well if not read on...

Leia reclined into her husband's loving embrace and exhaled. Opening her eyes, a dreamy smile played across her lips as she breathed in the lush scents of their homestead's foliage. A stubbled cheek grazed her porcelain flesh as lips, full and firm, placed a tantalising kiss against her cheek.

This wasn't just life, this was living! Leia realised.

As she lay in Han's arms, Leia reflected on the day that was drawing to a close. It had begun in the knowledge that what she had done could be described as whistleblowing by some, and as treason by more. All she knew, was that a very great wrong had been committed and someone needed to be held to account.

They had been sat on their porch for the better part of an hour since Leia's third, and very final, interview had been simultaneously broadcast across all Galaxy time-zones.

Their son, Jorj, had first offered, then made, his mother a cup of stim tea. Cup and saucer borne in the young man's unsteady hands from the kitchen to where she still sat on the porch-swing facing the fading sun. He had then gone to bed, politely refusing his mother's offer to escort him, and reminding her he was old enough to see himself to bed on his own now.

So Han and Leia had sat quietly together, watching the sun dip lower and lower in the sky until the last rays slid from view. "I'm proud of you Mrs Solo." Han's deep voice rumbled into her ear.

Of course, he would say that! Han was intensely proud of each and every one of his wife's achievements; from Rebel Alliance and New Replublic leader, through marriage and motherhood, to script and screenwriter. Nothing she did would ever make him ashamed of her, and today was no exception.

After all, it wasn't every day that his wife toppled a Government for the second time!
