Chapter 1

It was finally our last week of school. Harvey and I were sitting at lunch with Lola.

"Please give her my card. I hope she gets better soon." Lola told Harvey as she sipped her thermos.

She was referring to Rosie. Due to her current condition her Dad is keeping her home. It wasn't so strange for her to have lots of fans and followers at our school. It was just strange for Harvey and I to associate with them; because a lot of them we didn't even know. A few were even from other grades. Rosie touched the life of everyone she came across. Seeing as it was the last week before summer break, some weren't even sure if they'd see her in the Fall. Some even cried about it. Our school was deeply missing her.

"Bry..." A small voice spoke out.

I turned to see a girl. She looked like she was the same age as my sisters.

"You're really close with Rosie...can you give her these chocolates? My mom and I bought them this morning."

"Uh sure..."

"Gina."

"Gina, okay thanks I'll tell her they came from you."

She smiled and went on her way. That happened to Harvey and I more times than we could count.

"I'm gonna go sit with the squad okay? We want to talk about our summer plans." Lola spoke out.

"Okay. Sure babe." Harvey responded. Lola then kissed him on the cheek and ran over to her friends. Her lunchbox gripped tightly in her hands, and her ponytail swishing back and forth. This gave us a moment alone to talk freely about Rosie.

"So congrats on getting laid bro...it took you long enough."

"Ssh...keep your voice down."

"Did she like it?"

"Not really...I mean...she was sort of crying."

"That bad, huh?"

"No! I mean...no...she told me it was great...just..."

"Just what?"

"Not really what she pictured for her first time...we only agreed to do it because she was hurtin' so bad. I told her one day we'll do it just as she pictured. Whatever she wants."

"Mm...but what about this problem she has...she said it happens every Spring and isn't gonna go away until she's with a child. Are you guys gonna do it all the time just relieve her?"

"No...that was a one time thing...besides it didn't help her all that much. Her dad is taking her back to their world to speak with some of the older females of their kind to help her with it. She's in good hands."

"And in the meantime you'll use your good hands."

I turned red all the way to my ears.

"Man shut up!"

He laughed and ate a french fry from his tray.

"Guess that means our team is finished until Rosie gets back?"

"For now...but hey we've always worked best as a duo."

We fist bumped our knuckles together.

"Hey speaking of babies, did Isa-"

"Ever tell Mom and Dad? No...and come to think of it, she didn't say anything to me the day I brought her home from the clinic. Did she say anything to you after I left her at your house; after you got back from Rosie's?"

"No she was quiet...she really didn't talk to me either, she must have gone through something awful at that clinic place."

"Well I mean that night after you brought her back home, and Stan showed up...we told Mira and Anna everything that happened, but then she got slient again. She..."

I paused and thought about my time with Isa over the past few days since I took her to that clinic.

"Isa hasn't spoken to me since then."

"Aww come on I'm sure she has, you just don't remember."

"No really Harvey. She hasn't said one word to me since that night."

"Maybe she's really upset...even if she really wanted the child or not she still lost it."

"Yeah..."

"I'm sure she'll come around and be the annoying Isa we know."

"I...She hasn't been the same Isa ever since...I...I think I broke her."

"Whatever Bry...she's still your little sister, and she'll still love you even if you did break her down."

"Thanks."

"Don't mention it...now can we talk about something else besides girls for once...I think I lose half my masculinity everytime we talk about them. Seriously Bry how do you stand living in a house with not one but four girls running around?"

"I just...I'm used too it. It's my family...it's all I've ever known...but you don't want to talk girls? Huh? A first time for everything."

"We can talk about how hot they are! But not about their cycle...and their emotions huh?!"

I smirked at him.

"Fine rate Lola on a scale from one to 10."

"Easy solid 12. Rosie?"

"Solid 13."

"No fair your girl can't be hotter than my girl! What about in bed scale of one to 10? Go!" Lola's a good 15."

"That's not fair either Rosie didn't feel good!"

"But...you did. Come on give us a number."

"Well...she wasn't herself so I can't score her as high...but I'd say 15 too."

"How would you know?"

"I don't, but someday soon it will be better than she or I imagine. I know my Rosie...she'll make it the best time we've ever had. It'll probably be our first time making a baby together...one that we can love and start a family with."

"Bryan! Are you trying to make me puke? You're turning into your sisters."

"I have dreams Harvey...nothing wrong with that."

"Yeah well at least mine are wet and happen at night."

I punched his arm.

"Don't kid yourself...you know you think about a future with Lola."

"I don't think about it Bry...I live it. Everyday. She's the best dream I've ever had...one I never want to wake up from."

I smiled at him. He smirked then shook his head.

"God! You got me doing it now! Don't you dare tell Lola what I just said!"

I just laughed. Underneath all that talk, and tough exterior was a soft and sensitive gentlemen. Even if Harvey wanted to admit that or not. At the end of the day I quickly went to my locker and started to clean it out. My classmates and I would be getting new lockers for the next school year. As I cleaned Harvey came by to ask me about the weekend.

"So last day of school, no Rosie, no Lola just you and me bro!"

"Sounds awesome, dont forget to ask your mom if you can stay at my house."

"Got it, be sure you ask your folks too! This is gonna be so great man. We can play video games, stay up until like two in the morning, and just hang out you know?"

"Yeah and I'll make sure mom buys you a lot of your favorite snacks."

I closed my locker and pulled my backpack strap up on my shoulder.

"We could play with my football, I got one a few Christmases ago but I never got it out of the box." He replied.

"Okay. So Friday at seven?"

"Right."

"See you then dude."

He punched my shoulder gently and ran over to help Lola carry her cheer bag. I smiled and threw away all my trash and loose paper from my locker. It was only Monday but everyone was preparing for Friday. I exited the building after passing a swarm of students. To my surprise my mom wasn't outside to pick me up. I squinted as the sun beamed down on me and looked around the parking lot. I didn't see Dad's truck either. I then saw my Grampa Ben's car. Kids were around him just in awe of his presence. Some asked for his autograph to which my grandfather politely gave back. I ran over to him.

"Grampa Ben!"

"Hey Bry! Excuse me kids."

He brushed past them and put his arm around my neck.

"Your Mom said I could come get you today."

I smiled as I got in the passenger side of his car and buckled my seatbelt. He drove me to his and Grandma Hope's house.

"So how was school?"

"Fine...same as always. Why the sudden pick me up?"

"Well I wish I could say it was just because, but I actually got something for you to give to your sisters, and to your Uncles."

"Uncle Justice and Jesse too? What is it?"

"I'll explain back at the house."

"Oh? Is it important?"

"It can be...but really it's just for safety. Something Azmuth and I worked on. It took us a couple of years but we got all the kinks worked out. Since your sisters nor your Uncle's have powers we wanted to give them something to protect themselves. They don't have to use it, but it's there should they want too. You want something to eat?"

"Yeah!"

He took me to get a cheeseburger, fries, and a chocolate shake. Despite it spiking my sugar; Grampa always spoiled me that way. He didn't get the chance very often. Once we got to his house Azmuth was there waiting for us. He and another alien I had never seen before.

"Hi Grandma!"

"Hey there's my favorite grandson!" She said as she hugged me.

"Grandma I'm your only grandson."

"I know, but you're still my favorite."

"Bryan." Azmuth called to my attention as he walked across the coffee table.

"H...Hi Azmuth."

"As you know I only truly come if the planet is in danger. There's no danger this time. I only come bearing gifts. Gifts that I hope will help you and your family."

"Ben and Azmuth have worked on these for a long time honey." Grandma Hope told me and stroked my shoulders.

"Yes, we had too. Of course we never would have successfully completed them had it not been for Odar. He looked like half a dinosaur and half a fish.

"Greetings young Bryan LeMay. I am Odar of Odorron. Me and my people are a race of healers, dedicated to easing the suffering of all whom we encounter. Odorron contains several minerals that when mined and harnessed into clothing we can project the use of power over the elements. Each element has a specific role to play in how we live. Years ago I sent a group of scouts to map out the galaxy closest to us. Unfortunately they crash landed somewhere here on Earth. We then lost all contact after that. It wasn't until Azmuth reached out to my planet several years ago did we find our lost ship and brethren."

"Odar and I have worked together alongside your grandfather to construct these; melted down from the suits of his fallen friends." Azmuth explained. He then showed me three bracelets and two watches. The bracelets were gold, but each one had a different colored stone. The face of the watches were also two different colors."

"These shall give your family the ability to control one of the elements. My people are used to the amounts of energy surges and a sense of control these elements can have on the body. However if used by humans they can slowly harm the body, which is why precautions were made and your family will not feel the effects. They can be worn for long periods of time or not at all and it will not cause any damage to your mind nor body. My people are very happy that they are being put to good use."

"Thank you Odar. Now Bryan I would like you to give a bracelet to each of your siblings, and each watch to your Uncle's respectfully." Azmuth ordered.

"But...why me? Why not Grampa? Or you or Odar?"

"Because Bry...it's your team...you're the leader. You make the call." Grampa replied. I smiled. Grandma Hope then hugged me from behind.

"Good Luck young Bryan, and stay safe. If you have any trouble Odar and I will be standing by."

"And so will we." Grampa Ben told me and put his hand on my shoulder.
