Happy New Year, Koopa King and Prince

It's New Year's Eve at Bowser's Castle and Bowser is working on his newest invention to ring in the new year. He said, "Tonight is the night! 2020 is coming and I can't wait to see the fireworks with my son once midnight comes thanks to my new invention. This is going to be an amazing night."

Just then, Bowser Jr. came in and said, "Hey dad, what are you doing?"

"I'm building a very special cannon for the countdown and I want you to see the fireworks with me because in ten minutes, it will be 2020."

Bowser Jr. smiled and said, "Cool! So, is the cannon ready?"

"Yes, son! The cannon is all set and ready to go. Come on! Let's go outside and see the fireworks!"

And so, Bowser and his son ran outside with the invention as they prepare for the arrival of 2020.

When they got there, Bowser said, "Well son, this is it! We are three minutes away from midnight and so, it's time to use our special Koopa Family New Year's Cannon to welcome the new year. Ready for the countdown?"

"Let's do it, dad," Bowser Jr. replied as Bowser takes out his special remote.

"All right, then! Now when the timer hits one minute, we'll press the button at the same time and the countdown begins. Okay?"

So Bowser and his son placed their fingers over the button, waited for the clock to hit 11:59 and then...

It's time.

PUSH!

With the button pressed, the timer appeared on the screen as the cannon's voice said, "Countdown sequence initiated. One minute to go."

Both Koopas looked at the sky as they watched the timer ticking down on the cannon.

"Thirty seconds."

Bowser Jr. jumped on to his father's shoulders to get a perfect view of the fireworks as the cannon continues to count down on the screen.

"Twenty seconds."

"This is it, son. Ready?" Bowser asked.

"All set, dad," Bowser Jr. replied as the timer reached its final moment of the year.

Both Koopas looked at the screen for the last time and then...

The final countdown began.

"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one..."

BOOM!

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

With the words shouted, the cannon fired its first firework into the sky before it explodes in a shade of orange and red. Then another firework exploded in a shade of green and then, even more fireworks came into the night sky as 2020 officially begins with a bang.

Bowser smiled and said, "Happy New Year, son."

"Same to you, dad," Bowser Jr. replied with a hug.

And so, Bowser and his son are enjoying the fireworks as they begin another great year.
