Chapter 10

King Kayor allowed my sisters and I to go back home to our parents. He was in serious trouble, and didn't want to lose our trust. He took us through another portal near our cabin. It was dark out, and we could see police lights. Mom and Dad must have alerted the authorities of our mysterious disappearances. We quickly entered the cabin as fast as we could to show them we were safe and alright.

"Mom!" I shouted as I enteted.

She and Dad were sitting on the couch, and a police officer was standing over them. They both quickly rushed to us and swamped us with hugs and kisses. We explained to the officer that we got caught in a current that lead us out into the woods, where we wandered for hours until we found our way back to the cabin.

"And what's with the get up their matey?" The officer asked.

I looked down. My sisters and I were still in the clothes King Kayor gave us.

"Oh...these...we were uh..."

"Playing pirates and we went out to far when the water got too strong!" Mira interrupted.

"I see...well no broken bones, no foul play, I'm glad you kids are safe. Take care now..."

He tipped his hat and left.

"Thanks officer!" Dad called out.

"Okay now talk...you disappeared since yesterday where on Earth have you been?" Mom inquired.

"No. Not on Earth Mom. Galia." Isa told her.

We explained everything from the moment we went under the water to the part up about us coming back to the cabin.

"So you see King Kayor needs our help." Anna finally said.

"Yeah...I just wish he would have asked before swooping you away like that." Dad added.

"But Dad...he did ask...in secret. Queen Kala can't know he's asked outsiders for help."

"Har...go back with them."

"No mom, the girls and I need to do this on our own."

"But Bry-"

"Mom. I love you. Trust me on this. You get involved then Grampa Ben gets involved. Grampa Ben gets involved then Grandma. They both get involved then Gwen and Kevin will be right behind them. We need to do this on our own. I've already asked King Kayor to round up Harvey, Rosie, Uncle Jesse and Uncle Justice."

"You'll take your Uncles but not your own mother?"

"They have the other two bracelets. Anna, Isa, and Mira will be stronger with them. And I don't do anything without Harvey and Rosie."

"Sweetheart he's right."

"But Charlie Isa's pregnant!"

"And I know that, but I already told King Kayor I'd help. My brother and sisters need me!" Isa pronounced. "I'm not going to abandon them just because of that. This is for the future of the other parents children, and if I'm not careful if I don't help Queen Kala could come after my baby."

"Mom...I know it won't be easy, but I've got through everything up until this point using everything you and Dad taught me. I know we can help King Kayor get through this."

"You're right...just be careful all of you."

We grouped hugged, then hugged each other individually. Mom hugged me last and the longest.

"Now you look after your sisters...and you take some of your glucose candies with you...and don't you dare leave them here..." She had tears in her eyes.

"We're all coming back Mom."

"And you save another world and go off with Rosie to hers when this is all over?"

I just stared at her. I hadn't even thought about that. It felt out of context, but I could tell that mom had been thinking about that for a long time.

"She'll have to return home as queen one day...and when she does she'll need a king by her side won't she?"

Mom looked down. She was crying. She was shorter than I was. Dad and I were about the same height now. I didn't realize it, but at some point through out this journey I had become a man. My mother looked weak, small, and frail in comparison. I wrapped my arms around her. She gasped and wrapped her arms around me. I put my head on top of hers.

"No matter where I go, you'll always be my first kiss, my first love, and..."

I inched down to look into her eyes.

"The first friend I ever had."

"Oh Bryan James LeMay...You made me a mom, I'll never forget that...I'll never stop being proud of you. Just promise me you'll visit."

"You know I will."

She wiped her eyes and scooted me away.

"Okay! Now go on. Go save the day or whatever. Get out of here!" She said with a smile. Dad shook my hand then pulled me into a hug. He placed his hand on the back of my head.

"Go take care of business." He told me.

"I will."

Mom then hugged each one of my sisters again. Dad gave them each a hug and a kiss. As much as mom didn't want to let me go. Dad didn't want them to go.

"Girls...listen to your brother. Whatever Bryan says you do it, don't question him."

They agreed and we were off again. Dad put his arm around Mom and stroked her shoulder with his thumb. They watched us step into a portal that opened up in our living room. King Kayor opened it so that it led back to his dinning hall. There stood King Kayor with Harvey, Jesse, Justice and my beloved Rosie. Harvey was dressed like me only his shirt and clothes were all grey. Uncle Jesse's shirt was a pale orange, and Uncle Justice was in all black. Rosie was dressed like my sisters only her shirt was a light pink salmon.

"The situation has been made clear, all we need now is a solution." King Kayor announced.

"Whatever you decide Bry." Harvey said with a smile.

"He said my nephew was in trouble and that's all I needed." Justice exclaimed.

"And Justice wasn't about to go anywhere without me." Jesse said after.

I nodded then looked at Rosie. We shared a brief silent stare before she ran over to me. It was the first time we've been able to see each other in five months. I lifted her gently off the floor and spun her around. When her boots hit the floor again I placed my forehead on hers.

"That...problem you had they fixed it? I mean you're alright?"

"For now..."

"I mean what did they do? What did you have to-"

"Bryan...they had to remove all of my seeds..."

"So what does that mean? For you? For us?"

"It means we can carry on as normal they'll grow back in two years...but for now let's you and I help this world before we get back to us."

"Right."

I then pulled her into a kiss.

"I have missed you so much." I breathed.

"And I you...darling."

She stroked her fingers across my fringe then down my chest. Now that we had everyone, our team was to prove to the Queen that we were the better fighters, so that she'd have to pick us as her children. The moment she did, was when we'd make our first move. To overthrow her and gain a sense of peace and new hope to King Kayor, his people and Galia. At the rate Queen Kala was going she was causing too much death left and right. Those other planets were going to take their own revenge soon. She's doomed her own planet. We had to save it.
