Chapter 12

The hours ticked by. I put my back against the wall of my cell. I looked at my hands they began to tremble. I reached into my pocket to take out a piece of candy. As I began to suck on it I heard my cell click open. The cell doors weren't like iron bars, although the surrounding walls were some sort of solid white stone material. They were more like a force field of energy. It was controlled by a key pad on the otherside of the door. Though the keypad had a back to it on the inside also locked for maintence purposes. The sound of my cell being unlocked was different, and I couldn't smell Goban. I stood and prepared myself for anything. In stepped Harvey.

"Harvey!"

"I'm a techno locksmith, what'd you expect?"

I hugged him and laughed slightly.

"Yeah, yeah sorry it took so long. I had to wait until gross Goban fell asleep. He has a room near my cell."

"And the others?"

"Hey I came for you first, you're the leader of this outfit."

"Great! Let's go!"

We left my cell, and ran into the hallway. We found Uncle Justice's cell first. I then felt the voices of two aliens coming down the stairs. It was King Kayor and Queen Kala. I held the side of my head and entered their minds as Harvey picked the lock.

"I needed the strongest and deadliest aliens to go up against these so called humans. I had to travel through several worlds all day just to find them, but it'll be worth it. Everyone and everything is already at the colosseum, awaiting the morning, and the bloodshed." I heard Queen Kala say to herself in her mind. I felt her smile.

"I hope the children of Earth are alright. They have no idea about the beasts she's found for them to go up against I have to warn the kids somehow..." The King uttered in his head.

"I want to check on these humans..." The Queen thought in bitter anger.

I lowered my hand and looked at Harvey. He had just got the cell unlocked.

"Kala's coming...50 seconds." I told them.

"What do we do?" Justice asked.

"Go back to your cells both of you, I have an idea. After I'm gone Justice you use your powers to help unlock the cells, Harvey same to you...I'll then signal for everyone to follow me."

"Great! What's the signal?" Harvey pondered.

"I'll whistle. Now get going!"

We split up and I ran to Goban's room. He was fast asleep. I used my powers to leivate him upward. He snored. As Kayor and Kala entered the hall; I held the side of my head and placed Goban above them near the ceiling.

"I don't need your help to check the cells Kaiser! You are such a damn nuisance! Spineless, and weak! I curse the day I married you."

"Kala I-"

"Oooo! For once in your small pathetic life call me Your Grace or Your Excellency! I deserve better! You worthless good for nothing waste of space I-"

She paused and sniffed.

"What is that terrible odor?! It's most foul! You see this is why I never come down to these quarters! It's that oaf Goban!"

"But when we found him, you said you could use him...uh...Your Grace." Kayor muttered timidly.

"I know what I said! Listen to what I'm saying now! I want him gone! That disgusting pile of filth."

As she finished complaining I lowered Goban, then quickly released him. He fell with a giant thud on top of Queen Kala. She let out a shrill scream. Goban awoke unaware of where he was.

"Get off me!"

"I'm sorry your Majesty...I don't know how this could have happened!"

"Never mind just get off!"

I let out a whistle. My family exited their cells. With Harvey working with Justice they got them open twice as fast, especially with Justice's energy blasts.

"Follow me!" I shouted. We ran by Queen Kala in her unfortunate predicament. Being a much larger alien and having been awakened from a dead sleep; Goban was having a little trouble standing. Not to mention some sort of mucus from his body had glued him to Queen Kala.

"Kaiser they're getting away!" She screamed.

"I...I..."

"Get them! And get this thing off me!"

"I...No Kala!" This is the end!"

King Kaiser followed behind us on the staircase.

"Bryan!" Rosie called out to me as we ran.

"Yeah?!"

"What now?!"

"We go to her colosseum, that's where she has everything set up just for us. We go. We fight. We stand as one, and prove to her and her people she can't do this anymore."

"No offense but I don't think mere morality and talking will prove anything to her." Justice added.

"It might." Jesse said after.

"If we can show her people that mere humans with special abilities can overthrow her, they can too. This is more than just us guys. It'll take an army."

"An all out war, yes." King Kayor agreed.

"A war? But don't battles have casualties?" Isa asked.

"They do sis and we are no expection. Get to the colosseum quick!"

I teleported there. Harvey transformed into Jet Ray and flew there. Rosie transformed and teleported herself. Anna, Mira, Isa, Jesse, and Justice all had the ability to fly. Justice carried King Kayor. Once we were there the moon was fading and the purple sky was lighting up by the morning sun. The colosseum held more than 50,000 screaming people that were preempt and prepped by Queen Kala for our arrival. It was bigger than five football fields and taller than the great pyramids of Egypt. All around us were flashing lights and a large dome over us. The purple sky gleamed. We could see a purple sun and a pink moon near each other. It was so loud I could hardly hear my own thoughts. That's when she appeared. Like Julius Caesar looking down on his subjects. She teleported before our very eyes in a cloud of pink smoke. She sat down on a throne high above us.

"Well, well... Galia! I give you...THE HUMANS!" She announced.

There was an uproar of boos.

"They did very well in escaping my dungeon...but let us see how you deal with these old great human warriors!"

She waved her cane, and a few cages opened up. A group of Slammoids appeared. They were worm like that had acid spit, and enhanced strength, speed, and durability. Not to mention they were huge. Riding them was a band of Zaroffian humanoids. They carried swords, and had their own enhanced strength and durability. They also had an ultrasonic whistle. What we didn't count on was that Queen Kala's gem allowed her to look inside our deepest fears and our hearts. She must have used it while we introduced ourselves at the dinner table. I figured that out after a spawn of old foes appeared. For beyond the first set of creatures we saw the unthinkable. She had rounded up her share of help. With her she brought Margalos. The leader of the Lunai, a snarling Loboan, Immor, and four guys I had never seen before. The four were human like us.

"No way." Justice breathed.

I looked at him then back at the guys.

"Adrian, Tyson, Bentley, Sean? What are you all doing here?" Justice asked.

"Oh nothing much...just the Queen here gave us back our memories...and a few powers to go along with it. She said she needed help... And after all you and your brother did to us we were happy to oblige." Tyson spoke out. They were dressed like us, in the colors of orange, blue, red, and green; only darker and tainted.

"That was a long time ago...Ty, you have a wife...and Adrian you have kids now..." Justice replied.

As they spoke I spoke to King Kayor.

"That machine only opens portals...I understand she got everyone here via those portals. She also read our hearts at dinner, but how is the rest of this possible?"

"Her cane." Kayor began and pointed to it. "The gem...not only did she execute those other children, she stole their powers and locked them away in her cane."

"You're telling me this now!" I shouted.

"I...You never asked..."

I sighed and glared at Queen Kala. She just smiled back at me.

"End them. End them all." Her mind cried out to me. I gasped and the fight with little warning had begun.
